Illusion comes from the Latin word Illudere with means “ to mock” or “make fun of” . Illusions trick us into seeing something different than actually what is there.

What Are Optical Illusions?

Optical illutions refers to any illusion that makes

a false impression to mislead the human visual system into perceiving what is present.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF ILLUSIONS

Physiological illusions Physiological illusions, such as the afterimages following bright lights or adapting stimuli of prolonged alternating patterns (contingent perceptual after-effect, CAE), are the effects on the eyes of prolonged stimulation of a specific type - brightness, tilt, colour, movement and so on. The theory is that stimuli have individual dedicated neural paths in the visual cortex for the early stages of visual processing, repetitive stimulation of only a few channels misleads the visual system.

Cognitive illusions

Cognitive illusions are more interesting and well-known. Instead of demonstrating a physiological base they interact with different levels of perceptual processing, in-built assumptions or 'knowledge' are misdirected. Cognitive illusions are commonly divided into ambiguous illusions, distorting illusions, paradox illusions or fiction illusions. They often exploit the predictive hypotheses of early visual processing.

Ambiguous illusions

Ambiguous illusions are pictures or objects that offer significant changes in appearance. Perception will 'switch' between the alternates as they are considered in turn as available data does not confirm a single view. The Necker cube is a well known example, the motion parallax due to movement is being misinterpreted, even in the face of other sensory data.

Distorting illusions

Distorting illusions are the most common, these illusions offer distortions of size, length or curvature. They were simple to discover and are easily repeatable. Many are physiological illusions, such as the Cafe wall illusion which exploits the early visual system encoding for edges. Other distortions, such as coverging line illusions, are more difficult to place as physiological or cognitive as the depth-cue challenges they offer are not easily placed. All pictures that have perspective cues are in effect illusions. Visual judgements as to size are controlled by perspective or other depth-cues and can easily be wrongly set.

Paradox illusions

Paradox illusions offer objects that are impossible or paradoxical, such as the Penrose triangle or impossible staircase seen, for example, in the work of M. C. Escher. The triangle is a illusion dependent on a cognitive misunderstanding that adjacent edges must join. They occur as a byproduct of perceptual learning.

Fiction illusions

Fiction illusions are the perception of objects that are genuinely not there to all but a single observer, such as those induced by schizophrenia or hallucinogenic drugs.

Largest diamond mine in the world

The mine was discovered on June 13, 1955 by Soviet geologists Yuri Khabardin, Ekaterina Elagina and Viktor Avdeenko during the large Amakinsky Expedition in Yakut ASSR. They found traces of volcanic rock kimberlite which are usually associated with diamonds. This finding was the first success in the search for kimberlite in Russia, after numerous failed expeditions of the 1940s and 1950s. For this discovery, in 1957 Khabardin was given the Lenin Prize, which was one of the highest awards in the Soviet Union.

The development of the mine had started in 1957 in extremely harsh climate conditions. Seven months of winter per year froze the ground into permafrost, which was hard in winter, but turned into sludge in summer. Buildings had to be raised on piles, so that they would not sink in summer, and the main processing plant had to be built on a better ground found 20 km away from the mine. The winter temperatures were so low that car tires and steel would shatter and oil would freeze. During the winter, the workers used jet engines to defreeze and dig out the permafrost or blasted it with dynamite to get access to the underlying kimberlite. The entire mine had to be covered at night to prevent the machinery from freezing.

In the 1960s the mine was producing 10,000,000 carats (2,000 kg) of diamond per year, of which a relatively high fraction (20%) were of gem quality. The upper layers of the mine (down to 340 meters) had very high diamond content of 4 carats (0.80 g) per tonne of ore, with the relatively high ratio of gems to industrial stones. The yield decreased to about 2 carats (0.40 g) per tonne and the production rate slowed to 2,000,000 carats (400 kg) per year near the pit bottom.
The largest diamond of the mine was found on 23 December 1980; it weighed 342.5 carats (68 g) and was named “26th Congress CPSU”. The mine operation was interrupted in 1990s at a depth of 340 m after the pit bottom became flooded but it eventually resumed.

525 meters deep, 1.2 kilo meters in diameter. The air zone within this mine is closed for helicopters - happened a few accidents when they were " pulled in" by downward air flow.

Is that True?
Yes,It is true. There have been many reports of injury to people while boiling water in microwave. Heating water in the microwave can actually be dangerous.

I received a mail long before claiming a incident to the same fact. A man of age 26 old decided to have a cup of coffee. He took a cup of water and and put it in the microwave to heat it up (something that he had done numerous times before). When the timer went off, he removed the cup from the microwave and noticed that the water was not boiled and suddenly the water in the cup “blew up” in his face. His whole face was blistered with first and second degree burns, which left some permanent scaring and damage to his left eye. While at the hospital, the doctor attending him stated that it is a fairly common occurrence. Water (alone) should never be heated in a microwave oven.

Why this Happen and How?

This phenomenon is known as superheating. Normally, When we boil water using metal/Steel vessel on a flame(Burner). You may notice that, as water temperature increase the vapour bubbles gets released from the bottom of vessel to the surface of the water. The vapour bubbles helps remove heat from the water.

In case of microwave, the water heats up very fast, the formation of vapour bubbles is unable to keep pace with the rapid increase in water temperature. Due to this, The temperature of water goes on increasing beyond the boiling point(normal boiling point 212ºF or 100ºC) of water without forming vapour bubbles, But If the vessel inner sides have any scratches or pits, would easily allow formation of bubbles. The absence of these bubbles means that, the water boiled in the microwave oven retains a high degree of heat. When this water removed from the microwave, the water may seems to be calm but when it is triggered(trigger could be in form of movement or Slight disturbance i.e.. picking the cup or pouring a spoon in a cup). This may result in violent eruption of water exploding out of the cup. The overheated energy which is stored in water comes in form of a big bubble bursting effect which can cause serious injury.

How to avoid Super-heated water?

Use Microwave Safe Cup and Bowl, For increased safety use cup or bowl which has scratches on the inner sides, so that bubbles can be formed.
Place a non-metallic object such as a wooden spoon or stick in the water. This helps the water bubble.
Do not use excessive time for heating water or liquid in microwave

You may now be concerned or worried about this fact, however, the condition need to be perfect for water to get explode, which are mostly uncommon, if you are still concern then simply keep non-metallic object such a wooden spoon, This will prevent the water from becoming superheated.

We know that water play very crucial role in our body, but did you know that Water is also important for our brain. Our brain tissue is 80% of water, Optimal brain function depends on water. This seems interesting, since brain functioning depend on water. The brain has no way to store water and this is were dehydration comes in. The amount of water which got dehydrated in a day need to be replaced, or else it may effect the brain functioning. However Brain cells need 2x more energy than other cells in the body and water supplies energy. When hydrated, you have more energy. In the spite of armed robbery, there is something that you may really need to know.

HOW TO DO IT?

When a thief forces you to take money from the ATM, do not argue or resist, you might not know what he or she might do to you.
What you should do is to punch your pin in the reverse, i.e. if your pin is 1254, you punch 4521.
The moment you punch in the reverse, the money will come out but will be stuck into the machine half way out and it will alert police without the notice of the thief.

In 1994 Joseph Zingher from Chicago began to developing the ATM software that would silently call police if pin is entered in reverse order. Zingher, a former member of the U.S. Army Military Police, got the idea for Safety PIN in 1994, when he needed cash in a bad part of town. He paid $500 to a computer science major to write the simple code that would recognize reversed, inverted or otherwise altered PIN as a distress signal, and instructed the teller machine to call the cops. He filed for a patent the same year.

The term vitamin was derived from "vitamine," a combination word made up by Polish scientist Casimir Funk from vital and amine, meaning amine of lifes. Human body uses these substances to stay healthy and support its many functions. There are two types of vitamins: water-soluble and fat-soluble.

A lot of the vitamins in fruits and vegetables are lost between the farm and your plate. The longer the foods are stored before you eat them, the more nutrients are lost. Heat, light, and exposure to air all reduce the amount of vitamins, especially Vitamin C, thiamin, and folic acid.
Research has shown that almost all varieties of disease can be produced by the deficiency of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients. Vitamins are vital for your skin. The most important factor of nutritional deficiencies is the intense processing and refining of foods like cereals and sugar.
The human body uses food to manufacture all its building blocks as well as to provide fuel. To do this, it performs several thousand different chemical reactions. Each reaction is controlled by "enzymes" and "coenzymes". Some of the coenzymes contain vitamins which the body cannot make by itself and which must be obtained from outside the body.

Vitamins, one of the most essential nutrients required by the body and can be broadly classified into two main categories i.e., water-soluble vitamins and fat-soluble vitamins

Water-soluble vitamins
Water-soluble vitamins cannot be stored in the body, so you need to get them from food every day. Water-soluble vitamin are vitamin C and B-complex vitamins(such as vitamins, B6, B12).

Fat-soluble vitamins

The fat-soluble vitamins include vitamins A, D, E and K - since they are soluble in fat and are absorbed by the body from the intestinal tract. The human body has to use bile acids to absorb fat-soluble vitamins.
