Pakistan's military and its intelligence agencies have a strategic response to all Baloch problems which consists of a multifactorial approach to elminate Baloch people ,hence on one hand a massive number of pashtun talibans have been imported from Afghanistan to change the demogrphics and on the other hand military is busy in a systematic slow genocide of Baloch nation since creation of Pakistan.

Whenever a baloch leader raises voice against Pakistan's genocide of Baloch nation he is elminated by Pakistan's power military yet Baloch nation has kept its national freedom movement alive despite all the brutal tactics of Pakistan's army. The role of western powers to protect the basic human rights of endangered Baloch nation from Pakistan's mad military can be summarized as "shameful". Recently US State Department articulated its soft concern and requested Pakistan to negotiate with Baloch. That was enough for Pakistan's powerful military to target Brahamdagh Bugti's sister and her innocent child in Karachi, the message is loud and clear for both Baloch nation and western powers.

For Baloch leaders its a direct threat that even if you are outside of Pakistan yet ISI can locate and target your extended family members included women and children. To the western powers its a continuation of Pakistan's Army's arrogant policy as it blocks NATO's supply line, continues supporting talibans and mocks US State Department's concern over human rights violations in Balochistan by killing Brahamdagh Bugti's sister and many other Baloch political activists.

Baloch nation will continue its national struggle for freedom but it will be interesting to see how western powers continue appeasing Pakistan despite its record on human rights.

Baloch stay away from Pakistan’s Pro-Taliban “All Parties Conference”.

The coordination between various stakeholders in Baloch freedom movement may not be ideal, but a recent decision by Baloch leaders in different parties to stay away from Pakistan’s pro-Taliban “all parties’ conference” seems to be a joint decision. Baloch have been campaigning against the Pakistan military sponsored talibanization in Pashtun districts of Balochistan since early days of Afghan war during Pakistani General Zia Ul Haq’s era. The absence from “APC” shows that Baloch are not interested in Pakistan’s pro-Taliban policy , and seek an end to Pakistan military’s support to Pro-Taliban religious elements.

Pakistan army and its secret agencies have intensified its “kill and dump” policies in Balochistan despite various reports and warnings by international human rights organizations. Mere reports seem to have little effect on Pakistan’s military and it continues with its crimes against humanity in Balochistan, where young Baloch students, political activists, lawyers, journalists, doctors and social workers are forcibly disappeared and their mutilated bodies’ surface on roadsides.

When the Prime Minister of Pakistan traveled to Quetta and delivered his eloquent speech about reconciliation, the same week Baloch nation received 6 mutilated dead bodies, that speaks volumes for Pakistan’s reconciliation and political process in Balochistan. Until and unless United Nations and international community decides to intervene and take notice of Pakistan’s atrocities against Baloch nation, Pakistan military and secret agencies will continue their “kill and dump” policies in Balochistan.

Pakistan rejects human rights reports and commandant frontier constabulary vows to intensify “Action” In Balochistan

If there were any misconceptions in any one’s mind that Pakistan was going to abandon its systematic genocide of Baloch nation just because; Amnesty, Human Rights Watch, Asian Human Rights Commision or even United Nations for that purpose , condemned the brutalities of Pakistan’s forces in Balochistan. These should be clear by now as the commandant of Pakistan’s Frontier Constabulary has announced recently that soon there will be “Peace” in Balochistan.

The salient features of Military’s peace process in Balochistan has included,

• An onslaught on Baloch homeland soon after the creation of Pakistan

• Occupation of Baloch homeland by force against wishes of Baloch nation

• A military action against Baloch tribes in 1970s with resultant migration of thousands of Baloch tribes to Afghanistan (especially the Marri tribes)

• Nuclear tests inside Baloch civilian population

• Intensification of military operation against Baloch nation in 2000 and military attacks on Dear Bugti, Kohlu, Awaran, Noushki, Punjgur and other areas in Balochistan.

• Target killings of Baloch leaders, students, lawyers, activists and professors

• Enforced disappearance (abduction) of more than 14000 Baloch civilians

• Torturing and shooting of more than 250 Baloch students, activists ,journalists , lawyers, and political workers

After all of the above when finally international community has started paying attention to gross human rights violations in Balochistan, Pakistan’s generals instead of apologizing for the heinous crimes against humanity are promising to intensify the genocide of Baloch nation, and yes they call it “peace”. It’s the same similar peace that Pakistan is promoting in Afghanistan, Kashmir and even in Mumbai through its “Partners in Peace Process” these partners include such terrorist organizations as Taliban, Jammat E Dawa, and others.

At this moment Baloch nation and families of enforced disappearance victims are looking towards international community to do more than just words…..

Pakistan’s ISI controlled media, Jamat e Islami and the parliament can’t stop its propaganda against Baloch nation especially when a foreign ambassador, human rights activist or journalist tries to visit Balochistan. But the same forces ignore the continued brutalities of Pakistan’s forces against innocent Baloch civilians. Even the death of seven young men from BSO- (azad) whose tortured dead bodies surfaced a few days ago could not force Pakistan’s rubber stamp parliament to at least condemn the brutalities of military, intelligence agencies and FC against Baloch nation.

Even the hyperactive chief justice of Pakistan, who seems to be interested in everything from transfers and postings of officials to making political statements, is silent about Balochistan. The house of Nawab Akbar Bugti’s son and son in law have recently been attacked by Pakistan’s Frontier Constabulary in an attempt to force them into withdrawing the murder case against Pakistan military that is currently in the court. And yet Pakistan’s Chief Justice famous for his sue motto notices has failed to even take notice of the issue.

These killings by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies and forces have been carried out after the reports, released by different international human rights organizations, which strongly criticized Pakistan’s forces and Government for torturing and killing innocent Baloch civilians. That shows how much Pakistan’s nuclear armed army cares about human rights and international reports.

Balochistan under military siege

International reporters can travel to Gaza and cover news and conduct interviews and Palestinian politicians and people have the right to peaceful political assembly. On the other hand Baloch people in Pakistan and Iranian occupied Balochistan (the homeland of Baloch) have no human rights. The army and its secret agencies continue their siege of Balochistan. Baloch towns continue to be bombed and secret agencies continue their “Kill and Dump” policies despite repeated warnings and notices by international Human Rights organizations.

Pakistan’s ISI controlled, so called free media is very busy weeping for Taliban’s and advocating for Kashmiri militant groups that it cannot even mention the forced disappearances of hundreds of Baloch youth , political activists and innocent civilians. Close to 200 hundred mutilated dead bodies of Baloch activists have been discovered on roadsides in Balochistan who according to their relatives and eyewitness were abducted by Frontier Constabulary, secret agencies and ISI sponsored death squads but Pakistan’s media completely ignored this burning issue.

International news agencies are not allowed, international humanitarian workers cannot enter Balochistan, international human rights groups cannot enter Balochistan and even the diplomatic staff from other countries is not allowed to visit Balochistan. The ISI controlled media does not mention the human rights violation by military in Balochistan but when US ambassador visits Balochistan all of sudden Foreign Office, Jammat e Islami, ISI and Pakistan’s media all become interested. Because ISI does not want the international community to see how Pakistan’s forces are conducting a systematic genocide of Baloch nation and how common Baloch is living under siege of Frontier Constabulary. In comparison the situation in Balochistan is worst then Gaza but so far the international community has failed to take notice of human rights situation in Balochistan.

Is Pakistan Military getting ready for yet another take over?

Since OBL's death in a military town of Pakistan, army has literally taken over the country’s foreign office not that it was ever under complete civilian control but usually during civilian times army does not order / manage day to day activities of foreign office. But Pakistan’s general are in aggressive mood, the head of the Government was dispatched to China immediately to make sure China keeps supporting Pakistan military , as it always has.

Coincidently, the Taliban attacks in Southern Afghanistan have been on the rise and also the brutalities of Pakistan’s forces (Frontier Constabulary and secret agencies) have increased in Balochistan. The number of mutilated dead bodies found along road sides in Balochistan has increased, these are the bodies of Baloch activists, students, lawyers, engineers, doctors, professors and civilians who are abducted (forced disappearances) , tortured and killed by Pakistan’s secret agencies and forces.

Taliban are the precious assets of Pakistan’s inter-services intelligence agency and hence their activities reflect the temperature in control rooms of GHQ. Baloch have long been labeled and marketed by Pro-Taliban media in Pakistan as agents of India and Jews and therefore whenever army needs a boost in morale they launch a massive operation in Balochistan to support their ongoing systemic genocide of Baloch nation.

It seems clear that army has decided to intensify its genocide of Baloch nation; large deployments of Frontier Constabulary in Balochistan, a few hundred miles from Afghan border also make it easier for Pakistan’s Frontier Constabulary (Pashtu speaking) to cross the border and help their Taliban brethren. Something that Pakistan’s forces have been doing in the past.

Baloch are resisting the assault of Pakistan’s forces as much as they can but a civilian population without outside support cannot fight an army that has no regard for human rights. The civilized world is still trying to “work with Pakistan military” but it seems clear that very soon the military in Pakistan will be taking over again.
Generals in Pakistan army consider civilian government too incompetent to defend them and hence they want to be on the negotiation table alone with no bloody civilians around. Working with army during Zia and Musharraf regimes did not solve the problem of Pakistan supported terrorism and wooing Kiyani and Pasha would not be any different.

Baloch intellectual, writer, and historian Professor Saba Dashtiyari gunned down by ISI death squad.

The ISI death squad have been abducting and killing Baloch students, lawyers, leaders, political activists, doctors and human right activists in different cities of Balochistan for a long time now. In the small towns it’s a different story all together where Frontier Corps and Army conduct large scale operations during which artillery and rockets are freely used against innocent civilian Baloch population.

But apparently this was not enough and hence the secret agencies have started killing individuals who are working on Baloch history, culture and literature. Professor Saba Dashtiyari was a highly respected Baloch intellectual and a Professor in the only university in Balochistan, but that did not deter ISI death squad’s from targeting him. As usual an unknown Islamist group claimed the responsibility for the killing.

Balochistan university, is an anomaly in Pakistan’s universities because it is not controlled by pro-Taliban Jihadi group Jamat e Islami. Instead secular student bodies are far more active and prominent in this institute and that could be a contributing factor for Professor Saba’s killing, because Pakistan’s military and secret agencies have being pushing for Talibanization in Balochistan for a long time and Baloch intellectuals and nationalists like professor Saba Dashtiyari have been protesting against it. Professor Saba’s death could be a message to all Baloch nationalists in the university that they should either embrace Pakistan sponsored Talibanization or be ready for consequences.

After professor Saba’s death his pupils and colleagues used to meet in front of his office and residence in the university to burn candles and remember this great person, but Government has quickly issued a notification prohibiting such gathering. This in fact is an official order for everyone "Not to Remember" professor Saba. It is ironic that his killers are free to move about in army cantonment but those who mourn his death may get arrested and punished.

Baloch Struggle for Independence, provides an opportunity to fight Pakistan and Iran sponsored terrorism

If there ever was doubt in any one's mind regarding Pakistan army's role in promoting terrorism, it should be clear now. There are many many safe heavens like the one where Bin Ladin was found, being run by Pakistan's ISI especially in Quetta and other pashtoon areas of Balochistan.

Baloch nation has been protesting since ever that Pakistan's army is not interested in fighting the likes of Bin Ladin and Mulla Omar because ISI considers them important strategic assets and all funds provided to Pakistan military are being used to conduct a systematic genocide of liberal Baloch people who are fighting for the independence of their homeland from Pakistan and Iran.

Baloch nation can play a pivotal role in detection and eradication of ISI's safe houses in Balochistan where Talibans leaders from Afghanistan are being protected. But organizations like BLA,BLF and BRA need surveillance equipment and resources to launch an effective campaign against ISI presence in their homeland. These organizations are currently doing the same but their efforts can not match the resourcefulness of Pakistan's army at present.

Building the capacity of Baloch national entities to fight against Talibanization and ISI presence in Balochistan could prove to be an effective strategic decision to fight Talibans not just in Afghanistan but actually across the border.

International Community’s Attitude towards Baloch Resistance Movement

Despite propaganda by ISI controlled media and Pakistan’s Government that Baloch freedom fighters are Jewish agents and on the pay role of western powers, the fact of the matter is that it’s Pakistan Military that is highly funded by western countries. Baloch political activists, political leaders, lawyers, students and human rights activists have been demanding that western powers should ensure that the military equipment provided to Pakistan to combat religious fanatics is not used against liberal Baloch people who are campaigning for their basic human rights. But it is evident now, that western world has strategically decided to turn a deaf ear towards human rights violation by Pakistan army in Balochistan. Close to a 100 mutilated bodies of Baloch political activists, students, lawyers and doctors have been thrown out on the streets since December 2010 till to date but still UN, EU, Amnesty and other organization have failed to take effective action against Pakistan’s genocide of Baloch nation.

It makes sense that Baloch leadership has finally come to an understanding that western world will continue to support Pakistan army and ISI despite its barbaric crimes against Baloch civilians in Balochistan. It was observed that during the floods and other natural disasters Pakistani Government made sure that Baloch nation did not receive any assistance, donors were asked to stay away from Balochistan, which they did. Western countries have been very strict in admitting liberal, peace loving Baloch nationals in their societies for instance Hyrbiyar Marri’s application for asylum was denied and he had to go the court and UNHCR was initially advised not to provide any assistance to Brahamdagh Bugti because it may upset ISI chief.

The Baloch intelligentsia and leadership has finally come to the conclusion that Baloch nation has to fight for its basic human rights without any support from UN, EU, Human Rights Organizations and Western Capitals.

ISI controlled media goes crazy on death of two Punjabis; atrocities of Pakistan’s secret agencies in Balochistan are completely censored

The recent events in Lahore show the difference how Pakistan army treats Punjabis (its brethren) and Baloch (an occupied nation)differently , The ISI controlled media, politicians, Mullahs and even retired generals have gone crazy , its live competition on TV screens where everyone is trying to be more aggressive and combative. All this madness on death of two Punjabi robbers , and on the other hand here in Balochistan innocent Baloch civilians , students, lawyers ,doctors ,political activists are taken away by Pakistan’s secret agencies and their mutilated bodies are thrown on streets . And the ISI controlled media does not even mention this.

Pakistan FC forces are conducting worst kind of human rights violations against Baloch people and neither the so called “free” media nor judiciary takes any notice. Pakistan does not even allow international aid to Balochistan. In conclusion, Balochistan is an occupied territory and Baloch are slaves and there are no human rights for slaves.

Pakistan army atrocities in Balochistan , ISI , wikki leaks and India

Wikki leaks did not reveal new information as for as Pakistan army is considered , at least not from a baloch perspective, because every child in Balochistan (an occupied territory) knows that democracy and civilian governments in Pakistan are nothing more then “show piece” just to fool the international community , especially the western world.

It’s the military especially the Inter services intelligence agency that rules the country, and as for as the links between ISI and Taliban are concerned one does not need secret diplomatic cables and wikki leaks to know about that. The authentic spokesman for ISI and Taliban , General Hamid Gul and his implementing partners from Jammat e Islami , Jammat e Dawa and others can be seen on Pakistan major television networks celebrating the victory of Taliban . Now what’s beyond comprehension is the consistent monetary and technical support the Pakistan army is receiving from western world. Its an open secret that Pakistan army will never act against militant organizations because it considers them assets.

The only fact the wikki leaks highlight is weakness of Indian government to respond to Pakistan sponsored militancy in the region , in fact India has become a global sign of impotence. Hamid Gul and company keep on black mailing Indian government by sponsoring terrorist attacks inside Indian territory, terrorists are provided safe houses, funding and logistics in Pakistan . when India talks about taking action against terrorist camps inside Pakistan the military and ISI play their Islamic atomic bomb card so well that it brings every one in action to prevent India form taking any effective measures.

A large number of Hindus have been living in Balochistan since centuries and they have had excellent relationships with local baloch who are liberal people. Many Hindus were killed by Pakistan army when it attacked Baloch cities such as Dera bugti , Kahan , Naseer abad and Jaffar abad areas but Indian government could not take Pakistan's pressure and hence in recent joint official press releases the Indian prime minister did not even mention atrocities of Pakistan army in Balochistan.

Pakistan army labels baloch civilians as black water , and RAW agents and that gives ISI license to attack baloch communities with helicopters and air planes, killing civilians women and children. Recently, Mr. Ayub Gichki’s house was attacked by Pakistan army, soldiers entered his house arrested and killed his two teenage sons by shooting them in the head. But Pakistani media, that does not stop crying for terrorist like afia sadiqi and Taliban, did not even mention this attack even though Mr. Gichki is a well known tribal leader in Balochistan.

Pakistan army and especially ISI poses a grave threat to international peace it’s a fact that many a capitals around the around agree on but there is no Conesus and coordination as to how should international community deal with Pakistan army. The Baloch national struggle for independence has shown great resolve and resilience despite the worst kinds of human rights violations that Pakistan army has been conducting against baloch civilians by kidnapping , torturing , killing baloch students, lawyers, political activists and leaders yet the resistance continues and baloch are fighting their war of independence without any substantial support from civilized world.

Jangayz Marri a new thief in Balochistan

The ongoing military actions against baloch civilians and leaders in Balochistan resulted in large number of deaths, disappearances, assassinations of baloch leaders; in short Baloch nation has suffered in every field of life. Campaigning for liberation of their homeland , and standing up to an aggressive Pakistani military that has no regard for human rights or rights of civilian women and children ,has not been easy for Baloch nation, nor was it supposed to be.

But then in all liberation struggles and every nation there are people who sell themselves to the highest bidder. In Balochistan most baloch people consider Jangayz Marri worst than a street prostitute, who sells her body but not the soul. He is the elder son of Nawab Khair Bakash Marri who is at the forefront of Baloch national struggle for freedom. But Jangayz joined the enemy ranks just for money, he is even considered to have played a role in killing of his younger brother Mir Balach Marri, by providing military intelligence information about his brother’s movement.

With support of Pakistan military and intelligence agencies Jangayz Marri has established a criminal gang in his house on saryab road Quetta. His gang is involved in robberies, lootings, forcibly occupying land of others, and snatching belongings of travelers on Quetta Karachi route. Even though he is being highly paid by Pakistan military and ISI for his spying and other anti baloch activities yet his greed seems to be growing by the day. He is also reported to have been visiting Corps Commander’s office in Quetta cantonment begging for any political role in next provincial setup but army officials keep on humiliating him for having no “influence in his tribe”.

Jangayz Marri because of his spying activities, links with military intelligence, and his criminal gang in Quetta has earned the nick name of “New Thief” amongst people of Balochistan. The Governor Magsi is only government figure that meets Jangayz Marri in day light and hence provides him with a photo opportunity that he so desperately needs. His masters’ (Pakistan military and intelligence) use him as a spy agent but despite his best efforts do not provide him with an opportunity to portray himself as a VIP, for instance despite the best efforts he has not been given the opportunity of a photo opportunity with army chief.
Abandoned by his family, hated by baloch people, highly paid but equally humiliated by army and intelligence, Jangayz Marri is like a stray dog gone mad on streets of Quetta city, frantically running between gates of Governor and Corps Commander’s house looking for an opportunity just to sneak in.

That’s the fate of all traitors who leave Baloch nation for money or hope that military intelligence would help them become a politician

In 70s when Baloch were fighting for independence of their homeland from Pakistani occupation Iran rushed to support Pakistan army’s brutal operation against Baloch civilians. Iran’s consulate at Quetta Balochistan has ever since enjoyed unlimited support from Pakistan military agencies.

Even though both Iran and Pakistan use slightly different strategies when it comes to dealing with Baloch resistance but the ultimate goal and objectives are the same. While Pakistan uses military operations, kidnappings, disappearances of students and political activists and target killing of key Baloch leaders, Iran does not need to even take such precautions any Baloch political activist caught in Iran is openly hanged, a simple line “Causing Disturbance on Surface of Earth” takes care of justice, jury, evidence and human rights if there is such a thing in Iran.

Iran on one hand is buying influence in Karzai Government by bribing officials and on the other its Consulate in Quetta is closely linked to ISI and its Quetta Shura. It was usually observed that despite Pakistan’s support for Iranian nuclear program and their close coordination and cooperation against Baloch resistance movement on both sides of gold smith line, there were disagreements between Iran and Pakistan on Afghan issue. Both the countries support their own religious militant groups in Afghanistan but its increasingly becoming clear that Iran is willing to support and back Taliban completely , this a significant change in Iranian policy. This could never have happened without an intermediate guarantor, and Pakistan’s military establishment ‘read ISI’ is the only entity that could have undertaken such a difficult task in current situation.

Baloch have been fighting against growing Iranian presence in Quetta especially the immigration of large numbers of Hazara Community from Afghanistan that is fully sponsored by Iran’s Consulate in Quetta. Iranian diplomats in Quetta do not try to conceal their animosity towards Baloch nation either, in a recent press statement Mr. Kareemi (Iranian diplomat) referred to Baloch political activists and national leaders as agents of Satan and advised Baloch people to forget about their nationality.

Baloch nation receives dead bodies of their brave sons from ISI’s torture cells and Iran’s public hangings and the western countries receive dead bodies of their brave soldiers who are killed by Taliban that are jointly sponsored by Pakistan and Iran. For long term stability in Afghanistan and to put an end to genocide of Baloch nation by Pakistan and Iran, International presence in Balochistan is essential. Baloch population in general and political activists, student organization and nationalist leaders in particular welcomed the statement by American Ambassador that soon an American Consulate will be established here in Quetta Balochistan.

Iran bribing officials in Karzai Government

Consider the following developments in and around Afghanistan
• Increased Chinese presence in Gwader Port which is located in Balochistan the homeland of Baloch nation that is jointly occupied by Pakistan and Iran.
• A gas pipeline project amongst Iran , Pakistan and possibly India again passing through the Baloch homeland
• Iran and Pakistan’s strategic policy of crushing Baloch national resistance that is demanding an Independent Baloch State.
• Relocation of Taliban command and control structure inside Balochistan through ISI and Pakistan military support against the wishes of Baloch nation.

These may seem unrelated, isolated events but take into account the increasing number of attacks on international forces in Afghanistan; increasing sophistication of attacks and Pakistan military’s decision to cut off NATO supply line after an incident.

Pakistan military seems to be encouraging regional players such as China and Iran to trust and support Taliban takeover of power once the international forces leave Afghanistan, Iran may have some reservations about Taliban’s but at this point in time its determined to support ISI and Taliban in Afghanistan.

Why is Pakistan so obsessed with Taliban? There are many reasons such as
1. Recruiting and maintaining a force that could be used against India in conventional warfare
2. Exploiting the natural resources of Afghanistan and securing access to central Asian countries
But the most important reason is to control the ever growing Baloch national struggle for freedom in Balochistan; this is a common problem that Pakistan’s military and Iranian Mullahs are facing at the moment. Even though the Baloch national struggle in Pakistan occupied part of Balochistan may seem somewhat different to Jundallah’s resistance against Iranian government. But these are different expressions of Baloch nation’s struggle against military operations, human rights abuses, and killings, hangings in public, kidnappings and torture that they suffered.

Baloch nation is fighting for independence of their homeland and their basic human rights, they have been fighting against Iran, Pakistan and Taliban in the past and the national resistance movement will continue until the independence of Balochistan.

The international community has been wooing Pakistan army since a very long time but Pakistan army has its own designs for Afghanistan’s future. Baloch national movement can greatly add to international community’s war against Taliban. It’s an indigenous movement it does not require international forces for protection the Baloch nation demands that international community raise its voice against Pakistan and Iranian atrocities in Balochistan on international stage.

After years of presence the international commanders are working on putting together an exit strategy. The troops are expected to start their journey back home any time during fall 2011. It’s a critical moment for peace, stability, and future of not only Afghanistan but the entire region.
Leaving Afghanistan in the past after collapse of USSR may have been a contributing factor that turned Afghanistan into safe haven for terrorists but that’s not the root cause. It was the ambitious thinking (to rule Afghanistan through Taliban and subdue India by Jihadists) on part of Pakistan army and ISI that lead to catastrophic events including 9/11.
Despite the complex power point presentations that Pentagon staff is famous for, the conceptual frame work for military endeavors in Afghanistan has always been straight forward that is to give Pakistani Generals the money they wanted and hope they do the best. This time around the only difference is the actual presence of American forces in Afghanistan and now they will start pulling out soon.
This simple approach could have proved beneficial if, Pakistan army generals were willing to do their part honestly something which they are being paid for. It’s an open secret now that ISI and Pakistan military’s future plans for Afghanistan are drastically different from what Pentagon and NATO plans.

A more difficult but logical approach to Afghan situation would have included taking the nations that are fighting against Talibanization in the region into confidence. For instance Baloch nation gained their freedom from British rule before Pakistan but their homeland has been occupied by Pakistan since its creation. Iran also occupies a large part of Baloch territory and Taliban minded forces of both Iran and Pakistan are busy killing liberal, peace loving and democratic Baloch people in their own homeland.

The fact of the matter is that Baloch nation is fighting against two most brutal armies in the world (Pakistani army and Iranian army) and at the same time the Taliban militants of Pakistan army are also targeting liberal Baloch nationalists. It’s the most systematic genocide of any nation going on in recent times. The international community instead of supporting Baloch struggle for independence from Pakistan and Iran is supporting Pakistan army. The result of such a policy towards Pakistan would only strengthen Taliban activities in Afghanistan and elsewhere in the region.

The only practical exit strategy from Afghanistan would be building relationships with people and nations that are fighting against Taliban’s and Pakistan army. Baloch nation is fighting against Talibanization in Balochstan and moral support for Baloch cause from international community could add to stability of the region in the future.

Pakistan’s army with all muscle and nuclear arms has not been able to subdue Baloch movement for independence, in fact Baloch nation has shown more resolve as Pakistan army increased its war crimes. Now they have started killing Baloch leaders under fake names (dummy organizations) this is an attempt to create distrust among Baloch society. According to print media reports there are 27 Pakistan intelligence agencies currently working in Balochistan against Baloch struggle for freedom. Habib Jalib a former senator and secretary general of a Baloch nationalist political party was killed by Pakistan’s agencies while he was visiting his brother in his shop.

While Pakistan steps ups its aggression against Baloch civilians, political leaders, students and political activists the international community continues it’s” wait- and- watch” policy towards Baloch issue.

Abdul Malik Reiki another Baloch Leader killed by Iran’s fascist Government

Baloch homeland is occupied by different countries like Pakistan and Iran and Baloch nation is forced to live under the fascist regimes of Iran and Pakistan. Baloch homeland is divided between Iran and Pakistan by a false international border “Goldsmith Line”. But Baloch on both sides of “Goldsmith Line” are treated in the same way. Iran and Pakistan keep on exploiting natural resources in Baloch Homeland but deny even the basic human rights to Baloch nation. Lack of freedom of speech and use of force against innocent Baloch civilians has forced Baloch nation on both sides of Goldsmith line in Balochistan and Siestan to take up arms in self defense.
Both Iranian and Pakistan Governments have a similar policy when it comes to exploitation of natural resources in Baloch Homeland and suppressing Baloch Struggle for Freedom. Baloch nation on both sides of Goldsmith line has been fighting for its independence from Iran and Pakistan. Pakistan Government has targeted many Baloch leaders including Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, Mir Balach Marri, Ghulam Muhammad Baloch and many others including thousands of innocent civilians, kidnapped and tortured Baloch political activists and Baloch students.
In Siestan (western Balochistan occupied by Iran) Jundallah initially organized its resistance movement on demands based on equal rights for minority SUNNIES (Baloch) in a Shia majority country. The Baloch in Iran are denied all basic human rights including the right to speak in their mother tongue (Balochi). Abdul Malik Reiki became the voice of Baloch nation in Iran. He was very popular on both sides of Goldsmith line even though he was using a religious tone still it was obvious he was fighting for rights of Baloch nation.
There was a witch hunt going on, on both sides of Goldsmith line Pakistani and Iranian Governments were desperate to kill this voice which was demanding rights for Baloch nation and was targeting fascist Iranian regime. Finally Iran was able to intercept a flight in its air and arrest Abdul Malik Reiki once he was arrested it was obvious he would be hanged. Iran hangs large number of innocent Baloch people every month how was such a fascist regime going to give Abdul Mali Reiki a fair trial.

But Baloch Struggle for Freedom will go on despite the killings of leaders on both sides of Goldsmith line in fact it’s the blood of martyrs that has strengthened and sustained this struggle. Killing of Abdul Malik Reiki has sparked anger in Baloch nation and there are also signs that Jundallah has in principal agreed to organize its struggle on a secular ideology. The ultimate objective of Baloch Struggle on both sides of Goldsmith line is creation of an independent Baloch State “Greater Balochistan”.

Pakistan’s Double Game…. Options for international community

Pakistan since the early days of Charlie Wilson’s War in Afghanistan has been one of the major recipients of US military aid. Pakistan military established close contacts with extremists around the world during Afghan war but ISI did not abandon those contacts after the war. Following the disintegration of USSR “ISI” became the real Government in Afghanistan and the country was turned into a safe haven for international terrorists.
But this was not enough for ISI or Pakistan army’s generals thus started the militarization or Talibanization of Pakistan. The Jamait E Islami and Jameet e ulma e Islam and other fanatical groups were fully supported and strengthened hence they became custodian of “ideology of Pakistan” which is nothing more than war propaganda used by ISI to ensure continuous supply of extremist organizations to fight in Kashmir and Afghanistan. Thus Jamait E Islami and Jameet e ulma e Islam and other such organization gave birth to another group of organizations such as lashkar e taiba, and others that have a prefix lashkar attached to them. This nomenclature “Jamait” (which means an organization) and Lashkar (which means a group) was of specific interest to ISI operatives. From the Madersas which were, and still are, ruled by Jamait E Islami and Jameet e ulma e Islam extremists are enrolled into these two organizations and are further brain washed by these organizations and only the most radical elements amongst them are selected to join the Lashkars (the groups). These selected radical elements are trained , financed and used by ISI these Lashkars are what Pakistan army generals proudly refer to as Non State Actors.
Now the organizations such Jamait e Islami and Jameet e ulma e Islam are not only running the huge madersa system in Pakistan but through ISI financing and support they have also become political parties.

Under the constant military regimes in Pakistan, only one group of print and electronic media was allowed to grow. Hence it’s not surprising that biggest ISI sponsored news paper in Pakistan has a strange name “Jang” which if translated means “WAR” and the TV channel of the same organization goes by the name of “Jeo” which means “LIVING” put the two together and it becomes the Ideology of Pakistan “living the war”. The question is which war? It’s a war against India, a war against secularism, a war against democratic nations. Recently a telephonic conversation between a very influential anchor of the above mentioned media organization and a Taliban extremist has surfaced. In this conversation the Taliban team leader requests guidance from this media anchor (Hamid Mir) about a person that is under their custody. Hamid Mir (the famous anchor) advises the Taliban team leader to further interrogate that person. This shows the extent to which ISI controls each and every walk of life in Pakistan.

The Pakistan army has occupied Balochistan which accounts for more than 45% land and most of natural resources in Pakistan including the natural gas resources. Baloch are freedom loving, secular people who never believed or joined the ISI war machinery and instead have been demanding the freedom of their homeland from Pakistan. Hence Pakistan army is conducting the most systematically planned genocide of Baloch nation through means of chemical weapons, gunship helicopters, forced disappearances, torture cells, no political rights, and no medical and other services. Not surprisingly Pakistan military also choose to conduct its nuclear tests inside Baloch population in Balochistan.

Historically, the western powers have always sided with Pakistan army against the Baloch nation hence Pakistan has freely used surveillance and military equipment against Baloch nation that was handed over for use against Taliban militants. But this time around the entire command and control system of Taliban militants is based in Quetta and despite repeated requests for international community Pakistan army has declined to take any action against Quetta Shura. Baloch National Struggle for freedom provides an excellent opportunity to international community for intervention in the region and eradication of Taliban support system established by ISI in Quetta surely Baloch would well come such a move. The other option would be to support appointments of (the so called) liberal minded generals on key position and hope that they will somehow change the system. The temporary gestures of commitment to international peace are nothing more than false promises by Pakistani generals and world has seen that from Zia to Musharaf, they simply Do Not deliver and they don’t want to.

The Baloch leaders Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri, Hyrbiyar Marri, Brahumdagh Bugti and Dr. Allah Nazar are all willing to sit on Table for independence of their homeland with international community. It’s time the international community abandons its long standing policy of supporting Pakistan Army and starts looking for new options of stability in Afghanistan. The independence of Balochistan and stability in Afghanistan are intertwined because without cutting the Taliban supply line from Quetta (Balochistan) there can be no peace in Afghanistan.

The Taliban command and control structure at Quetta is a serious concern for civilized world as most of the attacks against international coalition forces are planned by Taliban leaders at Quetta. It’s worth mentioning that Pakistan Military’s Spy agency ISI has a massive “Afghanistan Control Cell” in Quetta that supports Taliban in terms of planning, financing and logistics.

Despite the presence of these extremists in Quetta Pakistan army instead of taking action against Taliban is intensifying its genocide of liberal, democratic and non fanatic Baloch nation in the region. The Baloch nation have been fighting for their freedom since creation of Pakistan. Paki army is using all kinds of war tactics against innocent Baloch civilians. The Paki army has openly targeted and killed Baloch leadership, used fighter jets and chemical weapons on Baloch civilians and even conducted nuclear tests inside Baloch population resulting in a massive increase in cancer and all other kinds of diseases.

Pakistan army has launched another military assault on Makaran area of Balochistan and is using fighter jets and helicopters against civilian population. It has in the past used similar tactics to kill thousands of Baloch and displace hundreds of thousands from Dera Bugti and Kohlu areas. Many innocent civilians including women and children are being targeted by Pakistan army each day in this recent operation.

Baloch nation is looking at civilized world to raise their voice against these worst human rights violations by Paki army.

Afghanistan the exit strategy and resulting vacuum

As the international coalition forces prepare to withdraw the South East Asian analysts begin to worry about the resulting vacuum and extreme eagerness of neighboring countries to fill in the vacuum and exploit the Afghan situation to their maximum use.At the forefront is Pakistan military that due to its past involvement in Afghanistan in Soviet era and than during Taliban’s rule has strong connections with Taliban leadership even in the toughest times after 9/11 Pakistan’s Inter Services intelligence agency did not abandon its assets in Afghanistan but instead helped to keep the command and control structure of Afghan talibans in Quetta.

During the presence of international forces in Afghanistan India supported the reconstruction of country and also Baloch nationalist leaders stayed in Afghanistan. During these years Pakistan also significantly increased the China’s presence in Balochistan, the resource rich territory that accounts for more than 45% land of Pakistan and has a sea port. Against the wishes of Baloch nation China has continued investing heavily in Baloch sea port of Gawader. Hence soon after the withdrawal of international coalition forces it’s not only Pakistan military establishment that will be supporting its Taliban movement to retake all the positions in Afghanistan and push India out of the country but also China would be supporting that initiative too.

This has strategic implications for Pakistan and China, Pakistan on its part has been in a state of war against Baloch nation it has used its Army against civilians, chemical weapons, kidnappings, killings of political and student leaders and infamous torture cells to overcome Baloch national struggle for freedom and an Afghanistan under Taliban’s ensures Pakistan that no Baloch leader could go into exile there.

Secondly Pakistan also sees the militant religious organizations such as Afghan Taliban’s as well as internal organization such as those fighting in Kashmir (and involved in Mumbai attacks) as important components of its future designs against India.

Most importantly Pakistan and China see a Taliban rule in Afghanistan as their only viable option to keep Indian completely out of Afghan scene and gain a safe and exclusive access to Central Asian countries through Afghanistan and then to Gulf Sea through Baloch seaport of Gawader.

This plan obviously involves taking back everything to Taliban era which means no education for girl, no human rights, no political and freedom of speech. That seems to be the dilemma where international coalition troop commanders wish to withdraw handing over the control to Afghan forces its evident that Taliban’s backed by Pakistan military intelligence with a logistical base at Quetta are far better off in the battle.

Baloch national struggle for independence offers a great opportunity for a stable independent, democratic government in Afghanistan because Pakistan has access to Afghanistan through Baloch territory and an independent Baloch state would be a natural buffer zone. But currently the coalition commanders are planning for a quick withdrawal even if it means an unstable Afghanistan ruled by Taliban’s.

China’s growing interest in Afghanistan and its implications for the region.

The Chinese government has kept its distance from international community when it comes to cooperation in Afghanistan but that does not mean it’s not involved in Afghan situation especially from Pakistan’s perspective. Pakistan’s military intelligence through its half hearted cooperation with international community has been able to continue receiving aid from civilized world but on the other hand its Afghanistan control cell at Quetta is a buzzing with activity now a days. The ISI is conducting massive contractor level negotiations with what it calls the assets or “good Taliban’s” these are based on post international community withdrawal situation in Afghanistan.

During post 9/11 era china could not move into Afghanistan but it has increased its presence in Balochistan, the homeland of Baloch nation which is currently occupied by Pakistan and accounts for 45% land of Pakistan. Balochistan is currently the focus of China as it intensifies its search on global energy resources for future use. Balochistan has huge natural gas and oil resources .What makes it more attractive for China is the presence of Baloch sea port “Gwarder” where China has invested heavily.

Pakistan is looking to create a pre 9/11 type of situation in Afghanistan where its paramilitary forces along with Taliban controlled the country and Pakistan military ruled Kabul. With Chinese presence in Gawader Pakistan is looking to have access to central Asian countries and have Talibans in Afghanistan as its contractors to fight Indian and Baloch presence in Afghanistan and even fight in Kashmir. The Pakistan’s inter services intelligence strongly believes on using Talibans and other militant organizations against India as its only reliable means of continuous war against India, something Pakistan army refers to as “strategic depth”.

The Baloch national struggle for independence has been a major obstacle to Chinese presence in Balochistan as Baloch perceive ChinaPak collaboration in their homeland as yet another tool for genocide of Baloch nation. Baloch groups have attacked many Chinese personnel in Balochistan resulting in many deaths. Pakistan army has been prompt in intensifying its war against Baloch nation to revenge the death of Chinese intruders in Balochistan. As a result Baloch cities have been completely destroyed, civilians killed, leaders attacked and killed, writers, teachers, students, political activists kidnapped tortured and killed.

It’s a critical moment in Baloch nations struggle for independence as Pakistan is using its entire military muscle to crush Baloch demand for freedom and sovereignty. Baloch nation is fighting as best as it could but eventually Pakistan and China will overcome this resistance if international community continues to support Pakistan army. Such an outcome will have grave repercussions for international community in Afghanistan and Iraq because Pakistan will turn Afghanistan into a heaven for terrorists again. The terrorist organization involved in Mumbai attack could be seen as a test case its activities were banned in Pakistan on international community’s pressure but it’s completely functional and working in full capacity and there are confirmed reports that this particular organization has established another huge training camp in Pakistan controlled Kashmir. There should be no doubt that once Pakistan and China over come Baloch resistance in Balochistan and international forces are withdrawn from Afghanistan, Talibans and militants will rule that region once again.

Baloch nation is looking towards international community to support its right to exist and stop the grave human rights violations by Pakistani army. Baloch political leadership led by Nawab Khair Baksh Marri, Nawab Brahamdagh Bugti, Mir Harbiyar have been willing to discuss an international mediation on independence of Baloch nation. A test case of cooperation by Baloch leadership, was the release of US citizen John Solecki who was working in United Nations and was abducted by a Baloch group on the request of United Nations Nawab Khair Baksh Marri, Nawab Brahamdagh Bugti, Mir Harbiyar Marri made several appeals to kidnapers asking them not to hurt an international civil servant working in Balochistan. Mr. Solecki was finally released by kidnappers without any harm.

But it seems that international community does not have a coherent plan for Afghanistan and their strategy consists of handing over the situation to Pakistan military forces and withdrawing at the earliest. This makes it understandable why international community is not concerned about human rights violations conducted by Pakistan army in Baloch territory. But Baloch nation at present is fighting for such rights as freedom, dignity , equality , freedom of expression, non discrimination and liberation of Balochistan from pakistan is the only possible mean for Baloch nation to achieve their basic human rights.

Afghanistan…. History repeating itself! Independent Baloch state the last hope for success of civilized world in the region.

Way back in soviet era when USSR was finally defeated and Russian forces retreated to Moscow, The policy makers in Pentagon and White house decided it’s all clear. Pakistan army had an open field in Afghanistan “The ISI” ( run by a group of religious hawks) soon initiated the implementation of its own game plan in the war torn country.

The ISI operations in charge in Afghanistan enjoyed the status of a colonial Viceroy, being the sole custodian of nuclear technology (and everything else too practically) in Pakistan, The ISI knew exactly how close they are to “Atom bomb”. They laid a plan to organize the religious Jihadi groups as they had against USSR from Afghanistan to central Asia and use them not only against India in Kashmir but also use them as a potential bargaining tool while dealing with civilized world.

Not surprisingly, as soon as the Taliban and company gained power they started harassing Baloch leaders and national who had left Pakistan during the Pakistani military operation against Baloch nation in 70’s. Following instructions from ISI Taliban started attacking liberal Baloch who have been living in camps in Afghanistan for years and campaigning for independent Baloch state.Many Baloch were killed and remaining were forced to return to Pakistan , Taliban made sure they took away any cash, belongings, and livestock from more than 30000 migrating Baloch households. This was one of the worst migrations in the region as Pakistan Army was more concerned on searching and interrogating the Baloch returning to their homeland that had no food, safe drinking water or shelter.

What religious extremists and ISI did to civilized world is open history now, but it managed to safe guard its interests even in the post 9/11 era. Dr. Qadir used by Musharaf to save ISI and Pakistan army is free and nuclear proliferation by Pakistan seems to have been forgiven and forgotten, ISI assets (the Good Taliban) are freely operating in Quetta and southern Afghanistan.
The civilized world is again preparing to withdraw its focus from Afghanistan and once again hand it over to ISI, this will have great repercussions for world peace in future. Pakistan army has already intensified its genocide of Baloch nation, On 27 March Baloch nation in Balochistan is protesting against the military takeover of their independent state by Pakistan army on the same date during 1948. An independent Baloch state in the region is civilized world’s last hope for lasting peace and curbing Talibanization in Afghanistan.

Nuclear tests inside Baloch population, war against Baloch and Pakistani demand for civil nuclear deal

There is no civilian role in Pakistan's nuclear program to begin with, its military and ISI that calls the shots about nuclear and any other important program. The ISI from time to time arrests some "Bad Taliban" elements but generally It has excellent coordination with" Good Taliban" (or assets) in the active field in Southern Afghanistan or their command and control authority which is based at Quetta.

The surveillance equipment and helicopters provided to Pakistan during Musharaf era by US Government for use against Taliban elements were instead used against liberal Baloch Nation in Balochistan who are fighting for their independence from Pakistan.
The United Nations recently has also asked international community to let Afghan decide themselves but ISI is already strengthening its Afghanistan cell at Quetta (Balochistan). The dream of an independent free Afghanistan without Talibanization can never be fulfilled without putting to an end the ISI involvement in that country.

The only sustainable approach is to put an end to silent genocide of Baloch nation by Pakistan military and support independence of Balochistan a territory jointly occupied by Iran and Pakistan. Baloch a liberal democratic nation would be a natural buffer zone between Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistani inter services intelligence agency. This would greatly add to political stability in Afghanistan and at the same time put to an end the constant blackmailing from Pakistan Military.
