SMASH* Books are HERE!!!

Do you SMASH*! Do you know what SMASH* is? Well to put it simply, it is a quick and simple approach to scrapbooking and journaling. It's the latest craze right now, and it is addicting! My girls and I started Smashing before Christmas, and what fun it is. I can't seem to capture the time to sit down and scrapbook a full 12x12 layout, but Smashing... I can do that. Just a few minutes and I've got a page. A page about whatever I want it to be. Whether it is pictures, a daily journal entry, likes, dislikes, rants, images of stuff I/we like, pictures of the kids... it is whatever I (and you) decide to make of it.

I find smashing to be so much more personal than plain old scrapbooking. One day when I'm gone, my kids won't just be going back to read my old diaries from when I was in my 20's, but they will now have something more vivid, much more personal, and more my style to cherish forever. They just might get to know me a little bit better than they thought they did. Talk about a great family heirloom, right?

On behalf of myself, and our Beary Sweet Girls, we would like to send out BIG thanks to everyone who joined our BSC #31 - we are so thrilled to see each and every one of you play along! We'll announce our random winner and Top 3 honorees on Thursday, August 18th. Thank you!

On the 15th of the month, we post a new challenge on our Challenge blog. This time we're challenging you to play tic-tac-toe and pick three in a row! So easy, and super fun!!!

Make a project using any row with your 3 favorite embellishments and technique - horizontal, vertical or diagonal. For example, "lace-distress-glitter" or "glitter-flower-paper piecing". You can even use "pearl-charm-glitter"! Please make sure you let us know on your blog post which row you've used.

Hello Beary Sweet Friends! Sorry I haven't been around on these parts lately. I promise to get back into the swing of things here shortly. Summer has me busy with the kids, and with the opening of our new sister site, I've been busier than ever.

What's that, you didn't here? Well, here is a brief synopsis... For those of you that have cutting machines, or a Cricut machine with compatible software, I am now designing my own cutting files. I've been designing my own stuff for years, so I thought I'd share my files and designs with everyone. I'm also creating DIGITAL STAMPS!!! I've always been intregued with graphic arts (I believe I missed my true calling), and I've since learned how to convert my .wpc files to all the other formats out there for the various cutting machines on the market. I'm just starting to learn MTC and SCAL, and I don't own, and very rarely every used a Cricut machine. Sorry friends, I'm a Pazzles Chick all the way!

Our sister site is called BEARY SWEET DESIGNS. You can check it out HERE! We also have a facebook fan page that you can find HERE! I can't produce files every day because I have other obligations that come first. I do LOVE making them though. It's my creative outlet when I can't get to my paper crafting supplies. I do post a free file every Thursday too.

Free Tear Bear Eyes and Nose Cutting File

Well girls, you finally broke me. I've spent a lot of time figuring out how to convert my file into usable formats for many cutting machine and software out there on the market. Our Senior DT Member Patricia has been testing out my svg files over the past few nights. Many of you have asked for clothes for your bears and I am happy to say that so far testing has gone VERY well and it looks like our sister site should be up and running by the end of the month.

In the meantime, I have created my Tear Bear eyes and noses pattern for our Traditional Teddy in svg, wpc, dxf, gsd, ai, pdf, jpg, and eps. This file is available for FREE for a limited time. You can download the file HERE. Since this is my first public file, we haven't had any testing on dxf or gsd files, so you feedback is of the utmost importance. Once I am confident of this file, we will be removing the pre-cuts from our website. My kids have lost interest in packaging these and I simply do not have the time to do it any longer.

Hello Beary Sweet Friends. Happy JUNE! One more day until my kids are done with school. They don't go back until September 12, tentatively. Our district is building a brand new high school and will be tearing down the old one right after school is out. Hopefully the new school is complete on time so the kids aren't going back in October. It's going to be a VERY long summer.

Locals, Please Help Find Molly

Hello Beary Sweet Friends. I'm here today with an special request for our local friends. My dear friend from high school, Sherri, has lost her precious pup Molly. Molly holds a very special place in her heart and is sick over her disappearance.

Molly was last seen near Frances Slocum State Park (Pennsylvania). This was almost three weeks ago, so she can be anywhere now. That was almost three weeks ago. She is all white and weighs about 13lbs. She had on a purple and white collar with tags and answers to Molly. We are all hoping that someone has found her, and she is safe. We are praying that someone will return her to her rightful owner.

New Product Updates - Some Odd Girl

I am so excited to introduce you to a new stamp company in the industry... well, new to rubber. Well, really, clear photopolymer stamps.

Please welcome Some Odd Girl Stamps to The Beary Scrap! Kristy draws the cutest images and has recently added a line of clear photopolymer stamps to her line for those of us that like to get "inked up". I love these images... then again, I love anything Elizabeth Bell creates. I have collected dozens of Elizabeth Bell stamps over the years. Sadly, many of them have yet to get acquainted with an ink pad. I'm sure I'm going to have dozens more that will need a formal introduction.

Spring Cleaning SALE!

Hello Beary Sweet Friends! I hope you all had a fabulous Mother's Day. I awoke to flowers on the kitchen table, handmade cards and a fresh cup of java courtesy of my 3 little munchkins. We spent the day doing "the usual" stuff, getting caught up on some housework and laundry, hubby cut the grass and then we celebrated my nephew's 1st Birthday. Not all that exciting here, but the fresh cup of coffee made by my kids was the best cup of coffee in the world! Since Sunday, they have been making me coffee every morning! What a treat :)

Now that Spring is officially here, it is time for some serious Spring Cleaning. I prefer to use the word OVERHAUL in this instance! My office is overwhelmed with crafty goodness everywhere to the point I have a small pathway that leads to my desk. Not to mention I have no place to craft besides my dining room table. Hubby sure would like to see my crafty stuff back in my office where it belongs.

This is just the start of it. If you follow us on facebook you will know what I've just added to the clearance section as I update each product line's inventory and reassign the items to our clearance section. I will be adding lots more goodies every evening. This is by far the BIGGEST SALE I have ever done.

One thing you should keep in mind when shopping on our website: Out of stock items may occur as inventory is reduced. Please keep in mind that just because an item is in your cart, it does not mean it is yours just yet. Inventory is not reduced from our website until after checkout is completed. Another shopper may pick up the same item and check out before you. When this happens, we will issue you a refund or a store credit for the out of stock item. A few new products...

Hello Beary Sweet Friends! I hope today finds you all well and looking forward to the weekend. In my case, I know that hubby will be working Saturday, and I will be tending to as much housework as I can. These 60 hour work weeks hubby has been keeping are really getting to me! I have so much to do for the shop and I am so far behind on housework it is sick! This week is "spring cleaning" in our township. It's the time of year when our township accepts almost anything that the residents need to get rid of at little or no cost. All the clutter in my house simply must go. Getting to it has been a chore with limited or NO help. I only have until Saturday to get through it all. The clutter is driving me insane!

We have some new product in the store that arrived over the past week that I would like to share with you.

Bo Bunny Gabrielle and Timepiece 6x6 paper pads have finally arrived. We've also been restocked on roughly 20+ colors of Copic Markers, Ez Mount, and those adorable Popcorn Bear Stamps.

Do you like Seam Binding. It's the latest trend! I'm please to let you all know that we now have 21 beautiful colors in stock on our website. This stuff is truly awesome! Use it just as it is, or if you like the "shabby chic" look, mist it with some water or your favorite misting spray, scrunch it up then let it dry. Oh... so much fun to play with.

We have also re-organized our **Clearance** category to make it easier to browse for the items you are most interested in. More products have been added, and there is more to come. The savings are huge - up to 75%, and we will be adding lots more over the weekend. The amount of product we have is too much for the space that houses our inventory. Our loss is your gain. Anything on clearance is first come, first serve. Just because it's in your cart, doesn't mean it's yours so be sure to act quickly. Our clearance department has been getting cleaned out quickly... even before I have the chance to announce that something in on clearance. If you place an order with us, and then find something else you "need", I will gladly combined the orders and issue you a refund for the shipping overage... only if your original order has not been shipped.

Emails answered (when my MS Outlook is working correctly), orders shipped, and new inventory added has been a big priority lately.
