I hope everyone is having a good holiday break. I'm actually posting this from my new iPod Touch, which I must say is a major improvement from my old first gen. Since I can post on the go now, I'll probably be giving updates more often, possibly including voice recordings and more videos (if I can ever get people to go out there with me). I also got an SOG Seal Pup knife. It's the perfect size, weighted perfectly and the blade could slice through bone. Needless to say, I'll have a little more confidence during my hunts from now on. As far as Beast activity goes, there's been nothing of late, but I'm almost positive those Sasquatch are still here. I've been trying to get a recording of their vocalizations and knocking, so I'm looking into homemade parabolic mics. One last thing - if anyone's interested, I've been trying to start a weekly cryptid hunting meet. I'm still figuring out the details, but I'd really like to start a new youtube channel specifically for this. So if anyone lives near Woodstock or Acworth and would like to get involved, email me at kcreekbeast@yahoo.com.

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, but I've been dealing with college stuff for the past few months so my mind isn't exactly on the Beast right now. However, Travis' mom and sister were supposedly being followed by some large creature traveling alongside them through the tree tops, which they also heard howl. Unfortunately, that's the sum of all significant Beast activity for the season so far. I will supplement you with this story I read. It may be nothing, but it's still kind of interesting. Here it is:

Unknown Animal Attacks NM Boy

A 5-year-old boy hiking with his family near Sandia Peak, New Mexico, has survived an attack from an unidentified species of large animal, a spokesman for the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish said Sunday, May 18, 2008.

Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White said the family was hiking near the popular Balsam Glade area on the Sandia Mountains, when the boy ran ahead of his parents. It happened on the east side of the Sandia Mountains around 7 p.m. Saturday.

A sheriff’s department report identified the boy as Jose Salazar Jr. of Albuqureque, New Mexico.

The boy’s parents saw the animal emerge from the brush and start dragging away their child, White said. The father then chased the animal, which let go of his son.

White said the animal was a mountain lion, but Ross Morgan, a spokesman for Game and Fish, said dogs trained to track mountain lions picked up no scent in the area Saturday night or Sunday.

Officials said they don’t know what kind of animal attacked the boy. I'll still be editing a little bit as I get new ideas and suggestions. I'm going to be posting more often and hopefully doing more expeditions, regardless of how many people are with me. I also should be getting a parabolic dish soon, so I'll post any interesting audio I find. On another note, I'm thinking about creating a website for the Beast/Dogman. Again, any feedback - including criticism - is welcome.

I've got a few recruits so far, but I'm going to need as many as I can get for my plan to work. I'll be bringing all three cameras, and the trail cam has been out there for the past week, which is where it will stay while we do the investigation. I'll post anything we find here, and on Facebook and Youtube. Wish us luck, and lets hope nobody cancels.

One night, I heard just about every dog in the neighborhood barking, howling, etc. So I walked over to my window, and I heard this disturbing sort of howling noise, somewhat like a wolf, but much deeper. It's not just me, either. About a week ago, my dad heard deep moans/howls out his bathroom window, and that was during the day. I showed him some Sasquatch recordings, and he said that it sounded exactly like the 1994 Ohio howls, except that the ones he heard were a little deeper. I think I captured the likeness of a Sasquatch quite well...

The deer was a pleasant surprise though. Now I know that that area is an active game trail. After chickening out last night, I decided to go back tonight and get my hammock and trail cam. I asked Matt to drive me down there and walk back to the area I had set them. He reluctantly agreed, and we got lost the instant we walked into the woods. After stumbling around for a few minutes with the flashlight and arguing about how stupid an idea this was, something made a terrible noise that instantly sent a chill up my spine. Its hard to describe, it was kind of like the sound an elephant makes, but deeper and mixed with the sound of a very large man yelling. I felt an overpowering urge to get the FUCK out of there, and the thing kept bellowing behind us as we ran. I haven't been that scared since I was little and I thought there were monsters under my bed. Now that I look back, it did kind of resemble some of the recordings I've heard of Squatch calls. Whatever the hell it was, it didn't sound happy. I'll be going back there tomorrow to retrieve my belongings. And screw getting footage, I'm sticking to trail cams.

Just thought I'd give a little update, things are beginning to stir up around here.
To start, I turn 18 this Wednesday, so for my birthday I'm going to get a decent camera with night vision. Finally, after all this time of stumbling around in the dark, I'll be able to get clear definitive footage of any sightings I might have. The video has earned me several offers to do searches, and I'm hoping to schedule a large group hunt, complete with rationed fireworks to draw the Beast out of hiding. And judging by what's been happening around here lately, we may encounter a Sasquatch or two while we're at it. Although, there is one minor setback. A bear has been sighted (in my neighborhood!) recently, and that presents a small amount of risk in going on a night search. Of course, if I plan this little outing right, there will be more than enough of us to provide safety in numbers. Seems unusual for regular wolves, even for hungry wolves... Hmmm...... Could the BCCs be on the uprise?

Candice Berner, Alaska Wolf Attack Victim
March 13, 2010 12:44 AM EST (Updated: March 13, 2010 03:18 AM EST) views: 635

A special education teacher who was jogging on a trail in the Alaska woods is the victim of an apparent mauling by wild animals. The Alaska State Troopers believes that Candice Berner may be the first known victim of a wolf attack in the modern era.
Candice Berner, 32, was jogging on an abandoned road on the outskirts of the small Alaska Peninsula village of Chignik Lake and listing to her iPod when she was apparently attacked by wolves, dragged off the road, and partially eaten. Authorities believe it was a wolf attack because her body was surrounded by wolf tracks when it was found by snowmobile riders, and also because wolves are considered the only predatory animal in the area. Hunters have assembled to try and track and kill the wolves.
I happen to live with a wolf fanatic. She concedes that Candice Berner probably was attacked by wolves, and if so (though it pains her to say), those wolves should be killed if they are caught, since the attack would indicate that they are comfortable enough around people to attack again. But she says it's also possible that Berner was attacked and killed by a bear, and then wolves found her body and then dragged it off. But this is unlikely if no bear tracks were spotted.

Lets see, Matt has seen something several times since then, usually while driving with his friends. A couple times dogs have been going crazy at something, all kinds of howling and yipping going on, even the local coyotes joined in. As the temperature rises, the sighting will most likely hit a spike (they usually do during spring and fall). If I can get Justin and a few other people down here we'll go out again and try to get more footage. The last one seems to be really popular, but if I can get the Beast on camera it'll be more than worth the risk. Speaking of which, someone from California contacted me through the comments about a Beast of their own, and I must say the similarities are uncanny. Hoping to hear more from them. That's about it, really. I'm really looking forward to seeing this thing again, it's been so long.

Eyes reflected red when shined on by flashlight. More likely a Sasquatch sighting.

Unknown date: Large unidentified animal sighted on several accounts in separate neighborhood. Described as being over 200 pounds.

Roughly February 2009: My 1st Sighting. Chased by large unidentified bipedal animal after possible territory invasion, followed to house, dog shows aggressive defensive behavior.

Next night: Followed by large unidentified animal to house, demonstration of above average arboreal dexterity. Heard in neighbor's yard, same night.

Same week: Large, bipedal wolflike canid sighted twice out window. No apparent fear towards humans. Possible signs of curiosity.

Summer, possibly May or June: Mulitple fliers posted around neighborhood. Two legitimate replies:

1st call: About 1:00 AM. Large bipedal creature spotted running next to car at speeds of over 35 mph., described as very muscular with a built upper body and barrel chested. Witesses were two local teens.

2nd call: Woman claiming to have taken pictures of unidentified creature in neighborhood.

August 2009: Unidentified howl at roughly 5:00 AM. Confirmed not to be a native species or even a Sasquatch.

Same month: About 3:00 AM. Hard rain. Large unidentified animal sighted in treeline next to road.

September 2009: 2 or 3 AM. After serious flooding. Tree pushed over, apparent following and chasing. No physical contact. Second demonstration of arboreal behavior. Two howls. Also, first videotaped sighting. My hands still froze, but it was nice to have the sun back. I'm thinking by late February or early March I should be able to do a night search again. Oh, and a nother bonus - usually as it gets warmer the sightings happen more often. I'm actually hoping to look into Georgia Sasquatches alongside the BCC's. There have been four catalogued sightings in Cherokee County alone, according to the BFRO database. Getting a sighting of a manwolf is difficult and usually depends on lucky timing, but Sasquatch seem to be everywhere in Georgia. Wish me luck!

Unfortunately it's supposed to snow tonight. I really hope it doesn't, I got tired of snow pretty quickly after it started crusting up like it did. These are by far the most popular wolf-beast "legends", and there are a good number of sightings, with better detailed descriptions. Some of the sightings of the Bray Road Beast actually sound more like Bigfoot (which I convinced lives in my are as well). I've found some of the clearest and most frightening involve the Dogman. The majority of them play out the same way, someone sees something that looks like a large dog or wolf, until it stands upright, at which point the person leaves as fast as possible. The official Dogman website, www.michigan-dogman.com, along with Linda Godfrey's website, Weird Michigan, provide some very in-depth reports of the infamous upright walking wolf. A few even depict an entire pack of creatures. On an off note, I personally think the beasts are simply misunderstood, considering no one has ever been physically injured by one. I intend on going up to Manistee some day to see if I can have my own encounter with the Michigan Dogman.

Justin and I were at the creek attempting to light off some fireworks, when it started to get dark. We were separated when Justin heard some leaves crunch, and he decided to walk towards the noise. A few feet away he saw an animal on all fours. Its eyes were shining reflectively from the light from his cell phone. The creature rose up on its hind legs and began to walk towards him. I then heard Justin sprinting behind me, screaming "RUN, RUN NOW!" I didn't see it, but I heard it following us as we ran. We made it to my house safely. When we went inside, my dog Hershey started barking and snarling furiously at something in the back yard. That dog had never done anything even remotely aggressive before then. I realize the creature could have been a bear, but I have researched both the skeletal and outward anatomy of bears, humans and wolves alike. The animal Justin described to me wasn't a bear or a man, but some kind of humanoid canid. Also, bears (under normal circumstances) do not live this far south.

The next night, Justin and I were walking by the same area, though we didn't go into the woods. We heard noises, this time emanating from the opposite side of the road. Naturally, we decided it was best to leave. We ended up walking quickly back up the road to Justin's house. Standing in his lawn, Justin saw something huge move through the tops of the trees behind his house, then land with an audible thud in his back yard. We ran to the front door, but it was locked. So, we high-tailed it to my house. After we both calmed down, I went outside to check if anything had followed us, and I heard it walking around in the backyard of the vacant house nextdoor.

The next sighting was a few days later. We were at Justin's house, just watching some TV. We started hearing noises on the porch. As I glanced over at the huge window, I saw a roughly seven foot tall blur of brown and grey fur dash in front of it, barely making a sound. I looked at Justin and I could tell he saw it too by the look on his face. I asked him what he wanted to do, and he said he didn't know. We sat there for a moment before leaving. Once we got out the door, Justin realized I had forgot to turn off the kitchen light. As he went to flip the switch, he looked through the second story window and, to his horror, saw the beast's face peering in at him. It was the face of a wolf.

As winter faded into spring and spring began to fade to summer, we were taking real interest in finding out what exactly this animal was. I began thinking about public safety. I made a stack of fliers that warned people of "The Beast", as we had come to call it. These included my phone number and a rough description of the creature. I got nothing but prank calls at first, people who left messages with lame-brained insults, courtesy of the local potheads. The first legitimate call came from a neighbor who said she had pictures of a strange creature. She gave me an email address (which I ended up spelling wrong numerous times before finally recieving a reply), and her number, which I haven't got around to calling. The next call was particularly alarming. I was staying at Justin's mom's house that weekend. At 1:00 AM, my sleep was interupted by an eerie call from a kid about my age with some frightening information. He described how he and his friend had been doing 35 down Kellogg Drive, when a large animal began sprinting alongside their car on two legs. It kept up with them for a while after which I assume it darted off into the woods somewhere. He told me how his friend who lives in Kellogg Creek found one of my fliers and told him about it, and that they thought it was a joke until then. He said the thing had a bulked out chest and looked very strong. I don't think it was a prank, given the time of night and the fear in his voice.

The sightings cooled down for a while after that. Then in August, Justin and I were out walking at about 5:00 am when a howl echoed from the trails behind a line of houses. I know what kind of sounds the animals around here make, which include foxes, deer, coyotes, and many others. That sound was unlike anything I have heard. That same month, Justin, Alexander, and I went down to the creek at 3:00 am. It was raining very hard, and we shooting bottle rockets and trying to light off some home made fire crackers (which failed miserably). We were getting pretty soaked, so we decided to go. Just when we were about to leave, however, Justin and Alex saw something in the woods to our left. It started moving, so we ran as fast as possible to Justin's house before going back to mine.

Then in September, during that flood craziness (after the floods had calmed a little), we went to the creek at 2 or 3 AM. We stayed for a couple of hours, shooting bottle rockets into the ground so it didn't make as much noise. We heard a tree fall in the woods on the other side of the creek. To us, it sounded like something knocked it over which scared the crud out of us, so we left. On the way up, I kept hearing it to the left of us, following us. We came around the street corner and began walking up the street to my house. I remember Alex kept looking over towards this house, like he saw something, but I guess he wasn't sure. There's this stupid elephant statue in their lawn that used to scare us all the time when we would walk by it at night. He saw something that he thought was the statue. It wasn't. The Beast got up from a crouch, and howled before loping after us. We booked it, shouting expletives out of pure fear. It jumped up into a tree and was heavy enough to actually shake all the water out of it, which we mistook at the time for rain. I guess it stayed there, because by the time we got to my house, we heard it howl from way down the road. The best thing about this sighting was that I got it all on tape.

I have also experienced a few things with my friend and nextdoor neighbor, Matt. Last winter we found and photographed some bipedal footprints near the lake. One time he told me that he was on his front porch when something started making noises in the bushes. When he looked to see what it was, a large creature stood up, started running across his yard, and then proceeded to jump every mailbox on the way down the street like an Olympic hurdler.

There have been many accounts from other people. Justin's dad and stepmother heard loud noises in the back yard once, and when they shined a flashlight from the back porch they saw something big with reflective eyes. My uncle was driving down Arnold Mill road and saw a tall, muscular hairy thing walking beside the road, which to this day he has no explanation for. My sister was at the creek and saw a large wolf thing run through the trees. My friend Randy Webb knows someone in his neighborhood (which is in the same area) who heard it or something like it run through his yard. Matt's friend Travis and a few of his friends have had some sightings. They said they heard noises on Travis' roof. He went outside to investigate and saw a big black thing crouched near the chimney. It was also up in the trees in the backyard, making all kinds of noises and scaring the dogs. Another time, they were sitting in the driveway one night, really late, when it ran across their driveway and cleared Travis' ten foot tall hedge in a single leap.

I have been researching and drawing werewolves since all of this started. I still don't believe that these creatures are actual shapeshifting werewolves, but who knows.
