When you first walk in, you're struck by how little seating there is. The space doesn't lend itself to adding to the seating, so you can empathize with their predicament. They have a second floor, but it appears to be closed if they don't have the staff to support it. The food was good enough and the beer was of good quality. It's a little inaccessible if you're driving, but seems to be a walk-in traffic location mostly. We ended up waiting what seemed like a disproportionate amount of time for the number of people that were actually there.

Link to this Review at beermapping.com

Red Brick Station

Brewpub
Date and time reviewed: Sat, 21 Nov 2009 20:01:17 EST

Overall Score: 88.3
Selection: 4.5 | Service: 4.25 | Atmosphere: 4.5 | Food: 4.25

Reviewer: PilsHelp

Red Brick is a great place for casual dining and enjoying relatively good beer. Have been several times and the experience has been consistently good. Beers on tap generally run 5 to 7 in number -- latest seasonal (in November 09) was an 'Amber Ale' that was purposely hopped to approach something like an IPA. Very nice. The atmospher is very family-friendly, so it makes a great place to bring the kids. General pub fare on menu, but they also have several Maryland 'traditionals' -- Old Bay Shrimp and Maryland Crab Soup. Easily accessible and very warm brick decor. Service, generally, does not suffer with customer volume either.

Link to this Review at beermapping.com

Ale Asylum

Brewpub
Date and time reviewed: Sat, 21 Nov 2009 13:14:27 EST

Overall Score: 86.7
Selection: 4 | Service: 4.75 | Atmosphere: 4.25 | Food: 2.75

Reviewer: fattymattybrewing

This brewpub/brewery is tucked in the corner of a business park, has tons of good parking and presents so much more than you would think from first glance outside the location.

Excellent beers and decent food. I have to admit I wasn't that impressed with the food. That is not to say that I was not satisfied or that I would not recommend other trying the menu items. The 5 ounce samples glasses area a nice way to indulge in a larger variety of different beers from Ale Asylum.

A sure visit with excellent service for your next trip to the Capitol in Madison, WI.

Link to this Review at beermapping.com

Little Creatures Brewing

Brewery
Date and time reviewed: Sat, 21 Nov 2009 1:36:05 EST

Overall Score: 96.7
Selection: 5 | Service: 4.5 | Atmosphere: 5 | Food: 4.5

Reviewer: otbc

This is probably my favourite food/drink spot in Australia. There's nothing better than to sit out the back of the brewery with a glass of Little Creatures Pale Ale watching the boats as they enter Fremantle Harbour.

The beer is great, the location fantastic, the food good and the service friendly. It gets very busy weekend evenings.

My favourite is the Pale Ale, a full bodied ale with a rich flavour. Also available are Pilsner, Rogers Beer and a Bright Ale.

The food is also very good and not too expensive. The serving area runs through the brewery from front to back with big bench tanles available as well as tables for individual groups. At the rear of the brewery it opens up into an eating and drinking area overlooking Fremantle Harbour.

What a place to be as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean.

Link to this Review at beermapping.com

Maryland Homebrew

Homebrew
Date and time reviewed: Fri, 20 Nov 2009 22:31:44 EST

Overall Score: 65.0
Selection: 2.75 | Service: 2.5 | Atmosphere: 4.5 | Food: 3.5

Reviewer: otbc

liveleak.com liveleak.com view i d39 1188830044wwww.gotoassit.com sb bms wwww.ritz.comwwww.asearchgalleries.com wwww.asearchgalleries.compostmaster hotelceltic.com wwww.freeones.comliveleak.com view liveleak.netwwww.bjupress.com liveleak.com heros30 luger on a colt .45 auto frame 30 luger on a colt .45 auto framemap 30 mg. roxicodoneyahoo.cf 2007 medical asst. schlorshipswwww.usgenweb.com wwww.abc3340.com

Link to this Review at beermapping.com

Porter, The

Beer Bar
Date and time reviewed: Fri, 20 Nov 2009 9:04:34 EST

Overall Score: 100.0
Selection: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 | Food: 4.75

Reviewer: lackofintellect

What a great beer selection, it's easy to find something you haven't had before. The prices are reasonable, the service is very good and the bar tenders know their beers. Beer is always served in the proper glass at the proper temperature. A great place to go for a great beer experience. I have only eaten there once, but the food was very good, I plan to make this place a regular stop whenever I am in Atlanta. We ordered the 6-beer sampler which included an IPA, blonde ale, pale ale, English ale, a bitter, and a stout. All were very good. They have a pretty interesting menu, worth checking out just for the menu. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent. We parked around the corner on a side street. We didn’t stay too long; the smoking in the place made everything pretty hazy. I’m sure the place was rocking later on.

Link to this Review at beermapping.com

Courthouse Pub, The

Brewpub
Date and time reviewed: Thu, 19 Nov 2009 21:27:56 EST

Overall Score: 80.0
Selection: 3.5 | Service: 4.5 | Atmosphere: 4 | Food: N/A

Reviewer: Beer Traveler

Stopped by on the way back from Green Bay; what a nice corner place with an upscale atmosphere. You can’t miss the pub, they are right in front of the huge Anheuser-Busch Malt Works in town. They have great looking menus with a small selection of beers and a big selection of wines and spirits. We had a 4-beer sampler of that included the nut brown, a schwartzbier, Oktoberfest, and a Braxator, a dark German style beer with strong malty flavor. All the beers had a metallic aftertaste. Service was excellent. Parking was pretty easy to find on the street.

Link to this Review at beermapping.com

Water Street Brewery

Brewpub
Date and time reviewed: Thu, 19 Nov 2009 20:47:54 EST

Overall Score: 86.7
Selection: 4.75 | Service: 4.25 | Atmosphere: 4 | Food: N/A

Reviewer: Beer Traveler

We arrived on a Wednesday evening and there were a few people in the place. Most were at tables having dinner with a few beers. We sat at the bar and had the sampler which included 9 beers. We had a lager, honey lager light, pale ale, raspberry weiss, Oktoberfest, weissbier, amber ale, brown ale, and a stout. The sampler was 8 dollars. The Oktoberfest was the best of the group. Our two servers took great care of us and both were very friendly. The breweriana memorabilia is fantastic. It’s a modern place in a nice location and is walking distance from downtown hotels and the convention center. It is more of a restaurant with a bar than a brewpub. We didn’t see anyone smoking in the place.

Link to this Review at beermapping.com

Milwaukee Ale House

Brewpub
Date and time reviewed: Thu, 19 Nov 2009 20:45:22 EST

Overall Score: 75.0
Selection: 5 | Service: 3.25 | Atmosphere: 3 | Food: N/A

Reviewer: Beer Traveler

We visited on a Wednesday night; they were setting up for the evening entertainment when we arrived. They have live music most nights. The place was big, with a nice open bar and seating area. We had the sampler beers which included a pale ale, amber ale, light ale, golden ale, session IPA, and an Irish oatmeal stout. All were good but none of them stood out to me. The service was very good. The only drawback for me was that smoking is allowed. That cut our stay short. Not sure about the parking, we walked from our downtown hotel. In warmer weather there is outdoor seating on the river side of the brewpub.

Link to this Review at beermapping.com
