Good mental focus abilites in your child, no matter how young, can keep them safer. When coupled with their Belly Brain, your child can perceive dangerous or thretening situations as they
begin to develop and stay away from them rather than being caught in them.

Even in the youngest of children, focus skills, the ability to preceive their environment and changes in it, is what makes their ability to keep themselves safe so effective.

Teach your child how to hone their focus abilities with our great, simple and easy focus games you can play at home with them. These games fit into your schedule without added time or effort and sharpen your child’s safety skills along with being such fun!

While your child is very young, teaching them about the Belly Brain sets up a lifetime of safety for them. They can use it in many situations, like when they head off to school.

In preschool bullies come in the form of young kids learning how to behave socially. Using the term “bully” is not necessarily approprite but it is descriptive of some children’s behavior. What we want you to teach your child is that, regardless of how young they are, they do not have to put up with the bad behavior of other children.

Teach them the appropriate response to bullying and that is, go find a trusted teacher at school for help. At the end of the day, they should be able to talk to you about it to. At the preschool ages, kid need to rely on parents and teachers to solve bad behavioral problems with peers. They need to know you will handle it calmly and immediately.

Preschool age kids have many changes they go through. Their Belly Brain, is a good thing to use whenever they begin to meet new friends, new teachers and head off to preschool, even for a few hours a day.

They instinctively will know if they feel safe, secured and cared for in the preschool environment. This goes beyond the normal separation anxiety from Mom and Dad. They will tell you if something is just not right if they feel it in their Belly Brain. You’ll be able to tell with your Belly Brain if it’s a real issue to pursue or something normal they are experiencing in a new environment.

The Belly Brain is all about safety for your child. Its about their ability to keep themselves safe when you are not around.

A critical aspect of this safety is the fact that when the Belly Brain goes off, your child comes to you to tell you about it. They need to know and trust that one, you’ll be there for them and two, you listen to them when they tell you what’s going on.

This is easier said than done for many parents. It is very important that when you child tells you something that happens with the Belly Brain that you listen calmly and quietly. They need to tell you in their own words what is going on and know that you will let them finish.

Staying calm, being a “rock” solid anchor for them, is simply setting up a trusting relationship for their lifetime between you and your child.

We all know the advantages to playing games with your child, is a great way to teach them safety with fear and paranoia. It’s the types of games you play with them that will really make a difference.

Playing games that help your child tune into their environment, more specifically, details in that environment, is the best type of game to play. Once they are good at seeing things in their world, start to change them around and ask them to tell you what the changes are. Start where it’s pretty obvious and move into very subtle changes as they get better and better with their focus and observational powers.

When they get really good at perceiving even the smallest changes, you can create games and fun with the entire family no matter where you go and what you do, all the time building safety “behind the scenes” in your child.

Playing games with your child is one of the best ways to teach them anything new. To teach a child anything new you have to have their attention. The best way to get it is with a game or any kind of fun, exciting activity they like to do. This includes teaching them about their Belly Brain.

It’s your child’s job, as a youngster, to play games and have fun. They are masters at it. Use this ability to teach them about even a challenging and sometimes scary subject like safety.

Through a series of short, fun games, many you can make up yourself, you teach them about their Belly Brain, how to trust it and use it, simply and easily. It’s almost like teaching them how to dress themselves or brush their teeth.

Turning on your child’s Belly Brain needs to only happen once. It’s a skill like learning how to ride a bike. Once they learn about it and how to listen to it, it will stay with them their entire lifetime.

The threats that your child will face on a daily basis, things like bullies at school, riding a bike safely or playing around water, will all rely on their Belly Brain to some degree to always keep them a little bit safer.

For example, when that bike helmet is not on, they will feel very uncomfortable if they are taught to always wear one. Kids who tune into their Belly Brain can apply it both consciously and subconsciously to many situations.

Teaching your child about their Belly Brain is really a personal safety technique they can use when you are not around to protect them. Specifically, it is a great defense mechanism from potential forms of child abuse.

Many child abuse victims tell their stories that as abuse victims, their natural instincts that something was very wrong did go off. They just didn’t know how to listen to them or what to do. The Belly Brain teaches your child to listen and what to do if they ever are in a similar situation.

Yes, it’s a scary subject for any parent to face. However, it’s like wearing a seat belt: better safe than sorry. Just because your child can use their Belly Brain does not mean they will be a child abuse victim. It simply means they are prepared. It also means they will be able to have a greater degree of safety in other areas, too!

When your child’s Belly brain goes off, they need to know that they need to find you right away.

Every person needs someone they can “go to” and talk to about anything. Your young child is the same way. No matter what their age, they need a “go to” person. We encourage you Mom and Dad, to be that person for your child. When they do come to you, be calm and in control no matter what they say. It’s the only way they can truly trust the entire safety process we set up with the Belly Brain.

When they are young, it’s very easy to be the one they seek for comfort, help and support. As they grow, nurture that relationship. You always want to be there, especially when they reach the teenage years, as their trusted “go to” person who can help them in tough times.

When your child’s Belly brain goes off, they need to know that they need to find you right away.

If your child ever finds themselves one-on-one with an inappropriate adult, whether its in your home, next door or at school, their Belly Brain will go off and talk to them.

They need to know that when it does, when it “talks” to them, they are to leave the situation immediately and go find you or another trusted adult. Then , they need to tell you what happened. It may be as simple as, “My Belly Brain is talking to me.” You listen calmly and respond appropriately.

Make sure you commend your child for acting on their instinct, their Belly Brain.
