The power of a loving kitty’s touch!

Remember Jinx-y Cat from Meet the Parents? He was a trained Siamese cat and the pride and joy of Robert De Niro’s character, Jack Byrnes. Jack trained Jinx-y to be the ring bearer at his daughter’s wedding and he taught him how to potty IN THE TOILET!! I have always thought kitties potty-ing in the toilet was the coolest idea ever but that it was just one of those things that are only real in the movies. Wouldn’t the cat fall in? I decided to ask google and I found out that toilet training your cat is a real thing! Apparently cats have enough balance to squat into the bowl without falling in and if they do fall in, they probably won’t fall in again. Awe poor wet kitty. After must research I discovered there are multiple products that you can buy to aid in the toilet training your cat. If you don’t have a lot of money like me, you can make your own cat toilet training kit. I made up this do-it-yourself method and will be testing it next week:

1. Take a piece of thick, sturdy cardboard (strong enough to hold your cat!) and cut it into a rectangle that is a little bigger than your toilet bowl.

2.Reinforce the bottom outside edges of box with Duct tape. Do three layers working your way in. (I’ll post pictures of what I’m talking about soon) This will be handy to reinforce the edges once we start cutting a hole in the middle of the box.

3. Lift up your toilet lid and duct tape the cardboard to the toilet bowl.

4. Sprinkle flushable litter on top of card board.

5. Hide your cat’s litter box from your cat.

6. Show your kitty where his or her shiny new litter box is.

7. Watch your kitty use his or her new toilet. Praise and give extra love to your cat for using the new and improved potty.

8. After your cat uses the cardboard litter box use an exacto knife to cut a hole in the middle of the box with a diameter of maybe 5 inches. This could get messy so plastic gloves are a must!!

9. Sweep dirty litter and waste through the new hole and flush. Sprinkle more new litter on cardboard-potty-litter-box if necessary.

10. Repeat steps 7-9 until the hole is the same size as your toilet bowl and your kitty is going to the bathroom in the big girl/boy toilet.

My twin claimed the identity of a “Furry” who was dressed as a wolf. He taught me that a Furry is a human who morphs into a spirit animal of their choosing when they put on a furry animal costume. They live much of their lives as this human/animal character and there is a large enough sub-culture that they have their own conventions where they can network with other furry animal people. Wolfie was all white with fading gray accents. He had darker gray on his ears, a gray nose bridge patch, and a gray tail, just like me! My human mom bff wanted to know where he got his costume and he told us that he had it custom tailored. It was a custom-made wolf costume to look just like Georgie Kitty. I must be one handsome cat wolf. Meow. Ruff.
