Returned from a great 4 hour scenic drive on NH4 to Kolar and now eagerly waiting for a new year party starting @ 10 followed by whole night drink session.
Surely i will get a chance to sing today - '4 baj gaye hai lekin party abhi baki hai....' :-)

Kashish turned 3 - Had A Great Party !!!

Time just flies by - Just last year we celebrated kashish's 2nd birthday in bangalore and now she has turned 3. This time we had planned for the vocation diwali to be celebrated with my parents so decided to have her birthday celebration at home.

Party was really great and every from my family and achman's family were present. 25th being the diwali day we planned the party at 1 PM in afternoon so that everyone can attend the party and also have their diwali pooja in the evening.

Everyone had a nice time - I was there at my home town almost after 2 years. It was really nice to meet everyone and had a nice time.

Kashish got really nervous in the beginning seeing so many people all around her. I think this was really the first time after she started understanding things that she had seen so many people all around her and everyone trying to talk to her. :-) Guess that made her little nervous.

During the cake cutting session we could see her so nervous that she wasn't even been able to blow the candles in spite of the fact that i had given her some training on how to blow the candles :-) But i would admit the she was really looking pretty in her lehanga.

Two Great Movies - Watched This Week !!!

This week i watched two totally different movies and both of the were great. Thanks to the guy whom i met in train while going from bangalore to agra 3 weeks back on my diwali vocation when i copied those movies from his disc to my laptop. I coudnt watch them during my vocation but now i am back in bangalore and this beeing a long weekend got the time to watch them. To my surprise both of those movies were great.

First of the two is 'America's Sweetheart' partly written and directed by Billy Crystal - America's Sweetheart starring Julia Roberts, John Cusack, Billy Crystal and not to forget Catherine Zeta-Jones.
If you admired Billy Crystal in 'When Harry Met Sally' then you would definitely love him in this movie as well. Although John is in the main lead still Billy does a great job and delivers a great performance. Julia Roberts and John Cusack are funny and makes up a great pair. Catherine looks beautifull as usual.
Overall movie is really funny and would have a nice time watching it again and again. Some of the dialogues are really hilarious and you cant stopping laughing.

Matchstick Men

This one is a really emotional drama between a dad (Cage) and his 14 year old daughter (Lohman) whom he had met after a long time. Story revolves around the two and has a thrilling suspense in the end.

Overall movie is really great to watch specially cage has put up a really great performance.
Overall a really nice entertainment. I would personally recommend this movie to anyone who loves to watch a light weight emotional drama with a thrilling suspense.

Had a great weekend. Started with inviting few friends at home for dinner on friday followed by a round of beer :-). Saturday started with few lessons on swimming, lunch in a chinese restaurant and shopping at forum value mall. Sunday had a small party with friends at "Barbeque Nation".

Rocking Weekend @ Amethyst

This weekend was rocking !!!

Really had a nice time after a long time. Thanks to my new friends @ Amethyst.

Weekend started with a 'Tequila Party' on saturday night.

Had 3 shots of Tequila and later on found that it was not sufficient for a kick so we were out in search of a shop to get something else at 12 at night.

After struggling and searching for half an hour at night with lot of risk being all 3 of us partly drunk we settled down with quarter wiskey which we got from a restaurant after waving hands and lighted mobile from the boundary wall of the restaurant and then requesting the manager to give us whatever is available. All this was really funny and all of us were doing this after many years. :-)

On sunday we had a potluck lunch inside the apartment with 30-40 families who prepared the food themselves. It started with introduction as we all are new in the apartment and many havent yet met and know each other, followed by antakshri. Lastly we had Bingo or Housey game.

In short had a great time this weekend. Thanks to everyone @ Amethyst.

Its 4 months since i moved into 'Sobha Amethyst'. It was one of my life's best decision to buy a flat at 'Sobha Amethyst' located almost 7-8 kms from whitefield, towards Hoskete (NH4). Good thing about this location is that even though you are staying in bangalore, it is far away from the fast and traffic filled life of the city.

This place is really calm with lots of trees (Which you rarely see nowdays in bangalore) and a good greenery all around. May be this will last only for a couple of years but still atleast i can enjoy this till that comes.

Achman and Kashish are also having a nice time. They have made lot of friends and their entire week is pretty hectic now (More hectic than mines).

Lots of get together and parties all the weeks. Most of the families here are of my age groups so it was easy for us to mix and know each other.

Kashish has made lots of friends here and so has Achman. Now i have also started meeting people (thanks to Achman who is trying hard to introduce me to her entire friend circle). But its really nice to know and meet people here. People are very friendly and best thing they are from all over the country.

I think wife's and kids are having a real fun here. Good company, lots of friends, good people and lots of activities through out the week. Everyday when i come back from office i hear new things happening. Really having a nice time of my life. :-)

Tanu Weds Manu - Hilarious and Funny !!!

I was never a big fan of 'Kangana Ranaut' but started appreciating her acting after i saw 'Once upon a time in mumbai' and then recently i saw the hilarious 'Tanu weds Manu'. She really played a wonderful role.

I did not expect the movie to be too great since the casting of the movie was not that strong. But i would admit that i really enjoyed the movie.

One of the reasons for me to enjoy the movie could be since i had spend 5 years of my life in kanpur but anyone could still enjoy the movie. 'Sadi Gali' song is great and supporting actors were great too, specially the charector 'Puppiji'. He really did a great job as Madhavan's friend.

Overall the movie is mix of light romance and comedy. I would recommend this movie to everyone who enjoys a light romantic and comedy movie.

Kashish is now in Nursery !!!

The amount I paid for my daughter's nursery admission is more than what my dad paid for my entire 4 year engineering course (all inclusive). And that’s f****** 10% of my gross annual income. Now either I am earning less or education in Bangalore is really expensive.

Two days back i was just searching for few of my old college friends on Facebook when i came across a profile who had listed If Only as one of his favorite romantic movie. He had written a good review about this movie which provoked me to download it and watch it.

I am really surprised that why din i hear about this movie earlier. I really liked this movie, it is very smooth going movie and keeps the momentum going through out the movie. This movie is about a person who really loves his girl friend but is unable to express his true love for her untill one day when everything changes in his life. Watch the movie and i bet you would love it.

What i think that life hardly gives you a second chance if u miss expressing your love for someone whom you really love. So if you really love someone then say it and say it loud. There is nothing more than expressing your love to someone. Don't wait for the right time, time is right when you say it.

Kashish's first day at school - She Loved It !!!

After her 2nd birthday which was rocking it was time for us to think about putting kashish into some play school.

This month we put her into near by play school and she really loved it.
The first day when achman dropped her to school she din cry and missed any one of us.

Infact when achman went to bring her back she was not ready to come back. She was enjoying and having fun at school playing with kids of her own age.

Now achman has one more responsibility to get her ready, prepare her lunch and drop her to school. But yea now at least she can relax for 3 hours until kashish is back home.

Overall its a great experience for all of us. Kashish did fell sick just on her first week in school but i guess thats normal as kids interact with each other there is a lot of possibility of them getting ill. But now she is fine and doing great.

Kashish did enjoyed her x'mas party at school. Lots of cakes, chocolates and fun.

25th Oct 2010, yes it is Kashish's 2nd B'Day !!!

I cant believe its 2 years since she came into our lives. Time just flew away.

This year we celebrated her 2nd birthday in bangalore @ Bhagini Palace, Marathalli.
Many friends and relatives were invited and myself and achman have been preparing for the birthday for last 2 months. Din knew that it takes this much time to plan for a kids birthday. Thanks to achman who helped me organize the party and everything went on very well.

All of us had a really good time. I was in need of this kind of celebration since a long time. It was a good break for all of us.

Best thing was kashish was looking really pretty and cute in her lehanga. But yea achman had a tough time making her wear this. Initially she did struggle a lot but finally some how kashish wore it.

Wild Target - Soft and Classic Comedy

This week after returning from office and having nothing else to do i started watching this movie - Wild Target.

I did not have much expectations about the movie as i haven't seen much movies of 'Bill Nighy'.

But the evening turned out to be quite funny and i really enjoyed this movie. I would say i became fan of 'Bill Nighy' after seeing the movie.

His acting was superb and i enjoyed the way he played his role and gave those funny looks and expressions. Although his role was of a serious professional killer still the way he acted make me laugh.

Overall the story is great and the timing of some of the jokes is absolutely perfect. It is not a big budget commercial movie but if you enjoy watching soft and classic comedy then this movie is for you.

Kashish's Dictionary - Her First Few Words !!!

It been few months since Kashish has started speaking few words. Its been a learning experience for all of us.

Kashish is learning new words everyday and we are trying to understand what that word means.

I guess that probably she understands everything we talk. In fact she listens to everything we talk among us and kind of understands also.
Its just that she is slowly developing the art of speaking, one word at a time :-)

Following are few of the words which we have started understanding now:

Mum - Water
Mumji - Glass of water
Baithe - Sit
Gilgum - fell down
Kokko - Insect, Ant, Dog. Any kind of animal
Tal Do - Put me down
Kol Do - Open it (Uses mostly when we give her chocolate)
Bibi - Baby (Calls all the kids she sees on the way doesn't matter whats his/her age is :-))
Ninni Aayi - Wana sleep
Chisis - Kashish (Thts how she calls her name)

My Cousin Vinny - Really Funny and Hilarious

Last week my laptop adapter was broken so i had nothing but to watch tv and kill time. So this weekend i was just switching between tv channels and got stuck on pix for sometime and started watching this movie - My Cousin Vinny (1992).

Just watched it for few minutes and it was so funny and hilarious that i continued and could not change the channel.

Two guys are wrongly framed in a murder case and their cousin comes for their rescue and takes up this case as his first criminal case.
And then starts the funny events and incidents which would keep you laughing. Best part were the court room scenes, really funny and amazing.

Highly recommended for people who love to watch light and funny movie.

Recently i came across this wonderful twitter id - radiosmaxi. You can find all the latest news presented here with slight comic and fun filled flavor. Intension is not to make fun of anyone but just to present news with fun.

I really enjoy reading the posts and most of time it makes me laugh a lot. Thats the reason i see that it has a large fan following also.

Best thing is that it gets updated almost everyday and sometimes multiple times in the day. Spend some time reading those post and i can assure you that you too would like it a lot.

Babysitting Kashish - A New Challenge

Over the weekend achman saw some great offers from 'More' which comes on every friday and she wanted to buy some of those stuffs. Obviously i was in no mood to spoil my sunday and very much not interested in those things. So i said you go and do the shopping and me and kashish would stay at home. So now she is gone and i am all alone at home and baby sitting kashish.

This is happening first time in 15 months. I had never been alone with kashish since her birth but i guess i cant run anymore and would have to take this responsibility.

Well for now she looks to be quite (thats the reason i am writing this post). She is sitting right next to me and playing with the adapter of my laptop. I dont mind if this keeps her quite for sometime. OK now she has started putting my slippers on the bed. Great. Hope achman doesn't come to know about this else i am a dead man.

I guess i would have to handle her for next 1-2 hours, i don't see achman coming back before this. Anyway i will have to some how manage it. Its good that kashish doesn't cries that much and since she has been all alone with us since her birth so she is not used to all those grandpa-grandma kind of pamper.

I need to stop now else i would be in big trouble. She has starting putting my slippers in one of the drawers of achman's dressing table and i need to stop her. Wish me luck!!!
