It's hard to believe that the new NBA season is already here. Again, I will be using my own picks along with the picks from The SportsBettingChamp System.

The Celtic's great playoff run seems to have just happened. But as always, I know that when I am seeing MLB playoffs on TV that the NBA season is just around the corner. I get excited and look forward to checking out some preseason action as I start to evaluate teams and rank them for my NBA betting system.

When I start to do this I always use last years NBA team scorecard as my base for coming up with this years NBA team rankings. I then review each team, looking at specific criteria and applying a score for each one. These are then totalled and that number becomes the teams "score". Some of the criteria that I use are home and away records, player changes, team offense, team defense and impact players. Now how you rate this depends on last years information, as well as a projection of this years performance. I do use a few others, but some of these are running numbers once the season starts, like winning streak, current injuries

I realize that a lot of these numbers can be arbitrary. There is no magic number when you are trying to pick a number to apply to a teams offence or any of the other categories. Just remember, there are a lot of teams to rank and some have to be high and some will be low. As you go through it, it will all fall into place, and you should see the stronger teams appearing and your list will be similar to last years list of even last years final team standings. It will make sense. The changes will be small, based on some player movement and things like that, but the small changes are where you can gain the betting edge. You know that the Lakers and Celtics are going to be at or very near the top and that teams like the Pistons and Spurs will be trying to catch them.

The SportsBettingChamp System had a decent June. Some of it depends on how hard the 2 losses hit you. But there also were enough wins to recover and lately the MLB betting system has been on a roll.

There have been 9 wins since June 25th alone!! The 2008 MLB record now stands at 35-2. It as been a great streak and I have built back my losses and then some as some of the match-ups allowed me to bet a high percentage of my bankroll, 7%. The SportsBettingChamp System picks gave me some low risk picks and I also won a few on my own that had a higher risk factor.

For soccer betting, Euro 2008 is one of the biggest betting events. And now that it is down to the semi finals there are a lot fewer betting options. With only two matches this week you will have more time to go over each game.

The Belmont Stakes takes place tomorrow and with it, a chance for a Triple Crown Winner. For horse racing betting it is one of the biggest events of the year. A lot of sports books are offering good bonuses to get people started in horse racing betting, which is one of the largest areas of betting action.

The odds are on Big Brown and his chance to become the 1st Triple Crown winner since Affirmed did it in 1979. Currently they are running around -300 and if he wins, these types of odds will be the shortest in Belmont Stakes history.

Today I am going to do a quick Baseball Underdog Tip System review of the MLB games I talked about yesterday. These games were picked by the MLB Underdog System that I reviewed yesterday as well. We are also following the Game 3 Win System, which has a record of 4-7 that carries into today.

I want to give you an update on The SportsBettingChamp System. It now has a record of 12-0 as it picked up a win last night. First, the underdog system had 2 games that qualified for betting last night. The first pick was the Devil Rays over the Yankees. That happened, so 1-0 for the system. Tonight there are no games that qualify under the Baseball Underdog Tip System. I will watch for games on other post nights and we can see if the 2-0 record can keep increasing.

So, lets look at the other system we are following, the Game 3 Win System. There are 4 games that qualify for this system tonight. Remember, going into tonight this system has a 4-7 record. Not so good.....

The first game has the Cincinnati Reds playing the Florida Marlins. The Reds won the first two and hit the indicators to be picked as a game 3 winner. Next, we'll be taking the Texas Rangers again. This game is already under way and almost complete. It's in the bottom of the 7th and the Rangers are down by a run at home to the Seattle Mariners, so a late rally will be needed for a win.

The third game picked by this MLB betting system has the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Beating the NY Yankees. I can see this one happening, as the Rays are hot right now and are 15-7 at home. The biggest question mark I see is the pitching of James Shields, as he has been hot and cold as of late. If the struggling Yankee offence picks it up the Rays could be in trouble.

Finally, the Game 3 Win System is picking the LA Angels over the Chicago White Sox. John Lackey will be making his 2008 debut and all Angel fans are hoping that he will be in his usual fine form. Time will tell if he is fully recovered from his tricep injury.

Baseball Underdog System | MLB Betting Reviews

On the last few posts I've been reviewing the MLB Betting System that has been tagged the "Game 3 Win System". It's one of many free systems floating around out there and I am going to follow a few different baseball systems over the 2008 MLB season. We can see how they do and compare results over time to a bought system, like The SportsBettingChamp System. It's currently at 11-0, compared to the Game 3 Win System which was 4-6 going into last night's single game that had the correct indicators.

There was only one game last night that qualified for this MLB betting system. It had the Pirates playing the Braves, and it was Game 2 of a double header, with the Pirates being the team to bet on according to the Game 3 Win System. The Pirates got clobbered 8-1 so the system lost again. That now makes the record of this MLB system 4-7. Not so good, so I hope no one has been betting on this system.

Tonight there aren't any games that qualify for the system, so I am going to introduce another system that you see around as well and we can review it's results over the next few weeks as well.

It's one type of many MLB betting systems that bet on underdogs. For simplicity, I am just going to call it the MLB Underdog Tip System. I am calling it this, as it doesn't take into account home or away underdogs, which a lot of other baseball betting systems do. But, it does have a few indicators which "tip" you to place the bet.

So, obviously, the first thing is the team as to be an underdog. That means that the money line has to have them at +10 or more. If a team is at -105, it's not an underdog. Now, beware, the rest of this system will require a bit of homework. It's not as easy and straight forward as other MLB betting systems may be.

The first one will eliminate some possibilities. They have to be playing a divisional rival at home. Next, the team needs to be getting a fair amount of runs in its last 5-7 games. Don't bet on a team if they are only scoring 1-3 runs on the majority of their games.

After that, look at the teams performance over their last 10 games. If it is positive then keep going with them. If they have lost more then they have won in the last 10 then eliminate them as well. This baseball betting system tries hard to get rid of teams that aren't playing well.

Finally, and least importantly to me, as it can be hard to get this information, try to find the pitchers history against our team. If it is bad, then that is good for us. That's all of the indicators that this system uses. If a team you are looking at hits 2 or more of the indicators then this MLB betting system says you should be betting.

So, tonight, there are 2 teams that qualify. The first team is the Texas Rangers, who are hosting the Seattle Mariners. The Rangers qualify as they are an MLB underdog who's at home against a division rival. They also have had pretty good offensive performance over their past few games, scoring 34 runs in their last 5 games. That's an average of more then 5, so that indicator is positive.

Two required indicators have now been hit and the bet is a go according to the baseball Underdog Tip System. It even hits a third indicator, as the Rangers are 7-3 in their last 10. And finally, it hits indicator number four, as Felix Hernandez is pitching and he had a rough outing last game against the Rangers. I think I might even bet this one!!

The next game has the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at home, playing the NY Yankees. Tampa and New York are divisional rivals, bamm, one indicator! Next, Tampa has averaged over 5 runs per game in their last five. Indicator number two has been hit and that makes this bet a go according to the MLB Underdog Tip System. And just the same as the Rangers game, Tampa hits indicator 3, they are 6-4 over the last 10. But, they don't hit indicator number 4, as they are facing Chien-Ming Wang, who's won 6 of his last 7 starts against Tampa. That will raise the betting risk factor.

Well, that's enough for today. Look at both of these MLB betting systems and see what you think. For me, the MLB Underdog Tip System seems to be more thought out then the Game 3 Win System. We will see if it is over the next few weeks in the MLB season.

MLB Betting System | Did The Bets Win?

The MLB Betting System that we were looking at last week was Game 3 Win System. I don't want to go through the indicators and what the details are again, so if you want to review it you can find the details on the baseball betting system here. So, now I will review the outcome of Friday's games versus the Game 3 Win System.

Before we get started I want to update The SportsBettingChamp System 2008 MLB record, as it is now 11-0. Don't miss any wins, as they keep on coming.

The first night of games that we looked at with this MLB betting system were played on the 7th. That night the system had a 1-4 record. The next set of games were played on the 8th . There were 5 games that hit the required indicators.

Three of the MLB games were complete with the winners being the Atlanta Braves and the Pittsburgh Pirates. The third game has the Cleveland Indians losing to put the Game 3 Win System at 2-1 on the day.

The next game had the Florida Marlins winning 7-2 against the Brewers. The win lifted the system to 3-1 for the night! But the final game was a loss as the Houston Astros fell to the Nationals. That put the night's grand total of wins and losses at 3-2. And the combined total over two nights at 4-6.

As you can see this MLB betting system is still not proving to be very reliable. Yet, you do see people touting it occasionally and having a good run with it. Let's watch the MLB for a few more nights and use the Game 3 Win System. I was just going to do it tonight, but only one game qualifies, so we'll go a few more.

I know the days haven't consecutive, but that shouldn't make a difference, as none of the indicators look at consecutive nights played. In the MLB tonight, the only game that qualified currently has the Pittsburgh Pirates playing the Atalnta Braves in the 2nd game of a double header. It was only the 2nd game that qualified for the Game 3 Win System, so you would have had to be sharp to pick it up and bet it in time.

The game is in the 3rd inning right now and the Pirates are ahead 1-0. It's early, bu the game is on the right track. So, I will see you tomorrow to review and to check if any games qualify under this MLB Betting System.

Baseball Betting System Trial | Game 3 Wins

Yesterday we looked at a baseball betting system that looked at Game 3 in a series. Depending on the outcomes of the previous 2 games, you might bet the 3rd game. The indicators that tell you to bet are wins/losses and divisional or non-divisional rivals. When a certain combination is hit, then you should place your MLB bet.

There were 4 games in the MLB last night that qualified as good bets based on this baseball betting system. The first had the LA Dodgers losing to the NY Mets, so the bet lost as well. In the 2nd game the Oakland A's held on and beat the Baltimore Orioles. So at this point we would have been 1-1 on the night's bets.

The SportsBettingChamp System picked up a win last night. It is now 10 and 0 on the 2008 MLB season.

The 3rd game had the St. Louis Cardinals playing the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies came up with a 4 run eighth and won 4-3. Finally in the 4th game of the night the Boston Red Sox also lost to the Detroit Tigers in a high scoring 10-9 game. Jonathan Papelbon got his first loss of the season as the Tigers pulled out 2 in the ninth to claim the victory.

So, if we were using the Game 3 Winner as your baseball betting system for last night's games you wold have had a 1-4 record last night and taken a hit on the bankroll. However, you can never judge a system in one night, so let's follow some more games and see how it does on a longer time period.

In the MLB tonight there are 5 games that qualify for this baseball betting system. Three games are already complete and have put the system at 2-1 at this point. The winners were the Atlanta Braves and the Pittsburgh Pirates, while the loser was the Cleveland Indians.

One of the teams left to play is the Florida Marlins against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Marlins will be looking for a 3 game sweep with a win tonight. The 5th and final game has the Houston Astros hosting the Washington Nationals. The Astros will also be looking for a 3 game sweep. Lets review this tomorrow and see where we would be.

MLB Betting Tonight | SportsBettingChamp Update

When I look at MLB betting tonight I don't see a lot of value. There are some good match ups, but your going to have to pay to play in the MLB tonight. With a lot of evenly matched teams playing tonight the sports books are making it tough to find a low risk baseball bet.

A quick SportsBettingChamp update, the system is now 6-0 in the 2008 MLB season. More wins to come, so don't let them pass you by. Sports betting is a great place to make money, especially with a great betting system.

When you look at the money line for MLB betting tonight you can see what I mean about the lack of good value. To start with, there is only 1 home underdog. It has the Texas Rangers hosting the Kansas City Royals. There's one reason that in all of the MLB tonight this game has a home underdog. It's because of the starting pitching, which ALL good MLB betting systems should have as the most important factor in any MLB match up.

The Rangers are currently scheduled to start Sidney Ponson. He has a career ERA of 4.93 and a career win loss record of 82-101. In his last start, on Saturday against the Minnesota Twins, Ponson gave up five runs, only one of them earned, in only 5-1/3 innings in a game that Texas lost 12-6. I won't be betting the home under dog in the MLB tonight because of the starting pitching.

So, I don't see any value in the MLB tonight in home underdog's. Next, in tonight's baseball games, there are 3 visiting underdogs when you look at the money line. They are the Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners. I have a good reason for not betting on any of them.

The Brewers are playing against one of the hottest teams at home in the MLB today. I am talking about the Chicago Cubs who are currently 11-5 at home and are getting some of their best offence there in the last 7 years. The Cubs have batted in at least seven runs a game in their last six home games. They have an amazing average of 11.2 runs and are batting .362 at Wrigley field. Because of this and the fact that ace Carlos Zambrano is starting, my MLB betting system says not to bet on the Brewers.

The Pirates are visiting the Washington Nationals and game currently would currently pay +110 if they win in the MLB tonight. I don't think they will. Although both teams are struggling, I again, think that pitching will be a factor. Zach Duke is starting and I don't think he can get the job done. He is 0-2 with a 5.34 ERA. In his last 2 game she allowed 11 runs in 10 innings. That is why I am avoiding the game. You can run the stats and see what your MLB betting system comes up with.

The last game I am looking at in the MLB tonight has the Mariners visiting the Cleveland Indians. The teams are on the last game in a 3 game series and are even up so far. Both teams are even when it comes to wins and losses but I think that Seattle may be on a bit of a downward slide. Sorry Mariners fans.

They have been playing very poorly lately and tonight are starting Miguel Batista. He is still recovering from a nagging groin injury and has not been very good against the Indians historically. In fact, Batista is 0-3 and has a 9.42 ERA in his last four starts and last four relief appearances against the Indians. Add that together with his last performance where he gave up 3 runs in the 1st and made 42 pitches while doing it. Again, when I run my MLB betting system, it tells me not to bet on this game.

In the MLB tonight and all night look for low risk bets that can be made. Tonight's MLB games don't show any value that stands out and when you look at the underdogs, either home or away, you can see why there's no value. So for MLB betting tonight, you are going to have to see if you find any value in higher risk games. I follow low risk betting strategies, including using picks from The SportsBettingChamp System, to build my bankroll and avoid risks whenever possible.

MLB Tonight | MLB Betting On Home Underdogs
