In 1970, Royce Garner, a high school science teacher in Boise, Idaho,
produced his first batch of Toe Juice®. His endeavor began when his
infant son had flaking, dry, cracked feet. The many lotions and creams
were ineffective and messy. So Royce did some research, went to his
lab, and came out with a revolutionary new product. Not only did it fix
and prevent further complications with his son's feet, but over the
years many friends, family, and acquaintances have benefited from the
strength of Royce's Toe Juice®. Those who benefited from the fast drying
liquid, often encouraged Royce to take it public.

Feet gross me out, they gross me out a lot. Even my own feet I have a hard time with. They're dry and the skin around my heels are thick, even typing this out gives me the heebie jeebies but I want to tell you all about a product called Toe Juice.

Toe Juice is a skin tonic that have a variety of benefits. With Toe Juice you can improve the following conditions:

Acne

Jungle Rot

Athletes Foot

Diabetic Skin

Eczema

Insect Bites

Regular Skin Irritations

Ringworm

Cold Sores

Foot Problems

Jock Itch

Psoriasis

Warts

For such a little bottle, it sure covers a lot of annoyances. I don't have really much from the above list, but I do have dry feet. I have been applying Toe Juice to my heels and when I do I notice an immediate difference. The liquid solution is dries quickly, which is a huge benefit because that is the main reason I never moisturize with lotion, is because as soon as I sit down there is always a reason to get up. It's refreshing and doesn't smell bad. I was hesitant about Toe Juice at first because I thought it sounded like a weird science experiment, but when I looked into it further I was relieved to see that it was made out of all natural, plant based ingredients (such as willow bark and lemon peel).

Toe Juice has recently won The Best New Product Award form The Drugstore News & ECRM.

I'm late on my spring cleaning. I'm normally done by now, so this is driving me crazy. I recently received my monthly package from Smead Organomics and found a great checklist that I can utilize to put a little order in my home.

For Father's Day this year I bought my husband a BBQ. We were in desperate need for one since we have been using a Coleman camping style one for the last three years. Now that we finally have a deck, I figured it was the perfect time. We love BBQing, but we're more the traditional steak and chicken kind of people. This Father's Day I wanted to do something different. I was browsing Life Made Delicious for some easy recipes to inspire me and I found this:

Ingredients:

2 tbsp (30 mL) vegetable oil
1 medium onion (1/2 cup/125 mL)
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup (125 mL) chili sauce
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
1 can or bottle (12 oz/341 mL) beer
3 1/2 - 4 lb (1.5 - 2 Kg) rolled beef rump roast
2 cups (500 mL) hickory wood chips

Method:

In
1-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook onion and garlic
in oil, stirring frequently, until onion is tender; remove from heat.
Stir in chili sauce, salt, pepper and beer.

Place
beef in shallow glass or plastic dish or resealable food-storage
plastic bag. Pour beer mixture over beef; turn beef to coat with
marinade. Cover dish or seal bag and refrigerate, turning beef
occasionally, at least 8 hours but no longer than 24 hours.

Cover
wood chips with water; soak 30 minutes. If using charcoal grill, place
drip pan directly under grilling area, and arrange coals around edge of
firebox. Heat coals or gas grill for indirect heat.

Remove
beef from marinade; reserve marinade. Insert spit rod lengthwise
through center of beef; hold firmly in place with adjustable holding
forks. Insert barbecue meat thermometer so tip is near center of beef
but not touching spit rod. Drain wood chips. Add about 1/2 cup wood
chips to medium-low coals or lava rock.

Cover
and grill beef on rotisserie over drip pan and 4 inches from medium-low
heat about 2 hours for medium doneness (160F), brushing occasionally
with marinade and adding 1/2 cup wood chips to coals or rock every 30
minutes. Remove spit rod, holding forks and thermometer. Discard any
remaining marinade. Cover beef with foil and let stand 15 minutes before
slicing.

If you don't have a rotisserie for the roast, place it right on the grill on the unheated side and grill as directed.

Designed by a babywearing parent, active sailor and rock climber, Gabby
Caperon. Beco combines perfect ergonomics, excellent weight distribution
and stylish design from top quality fabrics. Each carrier is handmade
by a skilled seamstress in facilities which apply
high social and economical standards. Sustainability and minimal impact
of our production on the environment is important to us. We strive to
provide the best quality, safe products and friendly customer service.

I was pretty prepared for Carter's six week early arrival, I pretty much had everything I needed, the only thing that was missing was a baby carrier. When I got home after five long weeks in the hospital I started wondering if I really needed one and figured it wasn't a necessity, then I received my Beco Baby Carrier.

I was sent the Beco Butterfly 2 and what a convenience! Carter has bad gas and whenever I lay him down, he screams - a lot. I'm not sure if it bugs him or he just hates being on his back but it's an everyday occurrence that keeps me from cleaning my house, which in turn keeps me from blogging. So when he's having a challenging moment and I have a lot to do around that house, I strap him into the carrier and go about my chores. I love it!

I was first surprised with just how comfortable it is. I was expecting a heavy carrier with straps that dug into your shoulders but that B2 is the opposite of that with their wide shoulder straps that are cushioned and light. My favorite feature is the lumbar support. The waist belt is wide and padded, adding that support that most carriers forget about. Even though this carrier has great weight distribution, you're still putting a lot of focus on your lower back and the added support is really appreciated.

The Beco Butterfly 2 is meant for use from the weight of seven to forty five pounds. That being said, I wasn't comfortable with placing Carter in the carrier until nine pounds. He's tall and skinny and didn't fit it that well in the earlier stages, even with the newborn insert. You have the option to carry baby in the front or back and is easy to transfer with the simple on and off feature.

This 100% organic cotton carrier is machine washable and is made of high quality (and highly tested) materials. I found that this carrier is very sturdy and secure. The material is strong and I don't feel that my child is going to randomly fall out (as I have noticed with a few recent carriers I have reviewed).

Live With Levi made an awesome video on the Beco B2 and all the ways you can utilize it, check it out.

Each B2 comes with an infant insert, head rest and instructions (read those, otherwise you will be mighty confused).
The Butterfly 2 has recently won the Best of Mothering seal of approval and the Gemini was currently featured in the Fit Pregnancy Buyers Guide, main baby carrier.
