<3 in love with Downtown's atmosphere.

Every neighborhood has its own culture. As I walk through the streets of the Upper East Side I notice that everything is fancy. Upper East Side is sleek, chic and classic NYC. You'll see doormen, bellhops and curbside services. Everything looks posh, but I don't really see young celebrities in the area except when Gossip Girl was still filming. Downtown on the other hand is more bohemian and artsy.

If I were to choose between Uptown and Downtown, I would choose Downtown. I just love everything about the place from the 14th street down to Soho. Yesterday I got to visit the Meat Packing District where the Olsen twins and other celebrities live. New York magazine called this area "New York's most fashionable neighborhood". It is also NYC's destination for ultimate partying. At night you could see people dressed to the nines and smell heavy colognes/perfumes.

I haven't really explored Manhattan due to my busy schedule. I'm planning to do that this summer! :)

I really couldn't believe that I met Leandra Medine of manrepeller.com .

I was just walking around SoHo yesterday and stopped by at this store and then I saw her there.

I immediately approached her and told her that I'm one of her readers.

How cool is that? I've been wanting to meet her in person ever since.

If you don't know Man Repeller, well try to Google her...

I went to Wikipedia and copied this information:

Spring Breakers in SoHo

Went to SoHo today because it's the last day of my spring break!huhuhu

I am not ready to go back to school yet...

About SoHo,

I didn't expect to find a store that sells exclusive outfits from the movie Spring Breakers

starring Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benzon, Rachel Korine and James Franco.

Have you seen the movie? I did! ;p

I also met the famous Man Repeller, Leandra Medine in that store while we were browsing clothes. I love her!!!

I'll post the photos tomorrow and will blog about her.

FNO on Hiatus?

Yes it's true, Fashion's Night Out in the USA will go on hiatus this 2013.

They started in 2009 which was held every September 8th.

Some stores participated by hosting parties at their store with celebrity guests and shoppers get to meet them. I attended from 2009 to 2012 and I met so many celebrities.

FYI I have an album in my Facebook account for FNO only. ;)

As you can see, these are some of the famous people I met (incomplete photos).

So sad FNO will be taking a break here in the USA.

How to make your face look smaller: Highlighting and Contouring

Here's a step by step tutorial based on the photo of Kim Kardashian.

Got this from her website.

1. Feel the contours of your face. Apply the contour color directly underneath your cheekbone, extending from the center of your ear in a slightly downward motion. You will want to keep the contour application concise. If your brush feels too fluffy or large, pinch the bristles when you apply, this will give you more control.

2. Use a small eyeshadow brush to softly line both sides of the nose. If your nose is long, you may want to apply a little under the tip of your nose. Again, keep the applications concise.

3. Feel your jaw. You will apply your contour color below your jawbone, making sure not to apply any color to the actual bone. The point is to create a shadow below your jaw. If your jaw is large, you may bring the contour color up on either side of the chin. This will make your jaw appear less bold.

4. Blend your contour color into your hairline. Doing this helps make your face appear slimmer. Make sure to blend well into the hairline.

5. Although your colors may be dramatic, there should be no severe lines. Blend edges well.

Excuse the appearance of the Smashbox bronzer because it's been in my bag forever!

Here's my makeup routine:

1. I use Bobbi Brown powder foundation because it won't make your skin look oily

2. Bobbi Brown concealer to cover blemishes.

3. Smashbox bronzer (Kim Kardashian's favorite) for contouring

4. Maybelline Master Shape eyebrow pencil

5. MAC eyeshadows to achieve smokey eyes ( Espresso and Carbon)

6. Lancome red lipstick ( Caprice)

7. MAC prep+prime highlighter. use this under your eyes to highlight. makes your face look bright.

this is done before putting a foundation..

This is perfect for the winter season because it heals your dry skin.

I love the fact that even if my face is sensitive, this product doesn't cause me breakouts. It helps clear your skin and gets rid of white heads. I recommend 2 drops of this so it won't be too oily.

Argan oil is a miracle!

I got this from my subscription on Ipsy but you can buy this at Sephora.

If you're hesitant to buy it, you can get the smallest bottle.

Christmas + Meeting Michelle Phan

Hey Guys! I haven't been blogging a lot lately because the last time I tried, Blogger didn't allow me to upload photos due to their free 1G or something policy and if you exceeded then you have to pay monthly to be able to upload pictures. That is ridiculous! I thought blogging is free...
