Christine Baranski is to reprise her role as Leonard's mother in a January episode of The Big Bang Theory, EW's Ausiello reports.

Baranski, star of last year's mega-hit Mamma Mia! and Chuck Lorre's Cybill, appeared as Beverly Hofstadter in an episode this January, for which she was nominated for an Emmy.

The ratings for last night's episode are out. The show continued to build on Two and a Half Men in the adults 18-49 demographic, but only marginally.

The Big Bang Theory was watched by 12.41 million people, placing it second in viewers behind ABC's Dancing with the Stars. The show came first in adults 18-49 with a 4.5/11 rating. Two and a Half Men set a 4.4/11 rating in the same demographic.

CBS Announces Episode 3.09

CBS has announced the details of the ninth episode of the season, The Vengeance Formulation, in which Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff and National Public Radio's Ira Flatow will appear as themselves.

"The Vengeance Formulation" - After he's humiliated on National Public Radio, Sheldon vows to destroy Kripke, while Wolowitz tries not to destroy his new relationship with Bernadette, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Nov. 23 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. "Battlestar Galactica" star Katee Sackhoff appears as herself, offering Wolowitz some relationship advice.

The ratings for last night's episode are out. CBS faced tougher competition from Fox, which was airing the Baseball World Series.

The Big Bang Theory was was watched by 12.73 million people, placing it third in total viewers. The show came second in the adults 18-49 demographic, scoring a 4.7/11 rating. It tied for first with Fox in the adults 25-54 demographic.

The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis defeated The Barbarian Sublimation by a resounding 3 to 1 margin. The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis previously won our Seasons 1 & 2 Episode Tournament.

We'll be running a Season 1 only tournament next month.

We're running an Episode Tournament to find the fans' favourite episode from Season 2 of The Big Bang Theory. Round 2 has just closed and 2 episodes have come through to this round.

The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis beat The Maternal Capacitance with a convincing 70% share of the vote. The Barbarian Sublimation only just beat The Work Song Nanocluster, garnering 53% of the vote.

The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis and The Barbarian Sublimation are now going head-to-head in the final vote. Voting is open for 4 days, after which we'll declare the winner. Vote now in our Episode Tournament.

-Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff is to appear on the November 23rd episode of The Big Bang Theory, playing herself. TV Squad reports there may even be some nudity!

Revised ratings for Monday's episode reveal it did better than previously thought. The Big Bang Theory beat or matched all of its previous bests.

THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in adults 25-54 (6.3/14), adults 18-49 (5.3/13), adults 18-34 (4.0/11), second in both households (8.1/12) and viewers (13.47m). THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +5% in adults 25-54, +10% in adults 18-49 and +25% in adults 18-34. THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +1% in households (from 8.0/12), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/13), +6% in adults 18-49 (from 5.0/12), +18% in adults 18-34 (from 3.4/09) and added +400,000 viewers (from 13.07m, +3%) compared to last week.

This is BIG BANG THEORY's best viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34 performances to date, matches best adults 18-49 delivery ever.

The ratings for last night's episode are out. The ratings were up from last week and the show continued to improve on Two and a Half Men in the 18-49 demographic.

The Big Bang Theory came second in total viewers with 13.12m people watching, this gave it an 8.0/12 rating in households. In the 18-49 demographic, it came first with a 5.1/12 rating, up from Two and a Half Men's 4.7/12.

CBS has announced the details of November 9th's episode, The Guitarist Amplification, the seventh episode of the season.

"The Guitarist Amplification" - An argument between Leonard and Penny proves "inconvenient" to Sheldon, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Nov. 9 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
