Comic Con - Here we go again.

Here we go again.....Comic Con is descending upon San Diego. It's really funny watching what happens downtown with the Convention Center so close. Depending on the conference local businesses will be busy or dead. It depends on the type of conference and the services business' have to offer. For example we just finished up with ESRI (GIS Mapping Conference) and we rent out all of our bikes every year. If the current conference has Doctors attending, same thing. Health-Conscious people rent bikes as a great way to explore our Fine City.

Comic Con is different. Our shop is no-mans land during Comic Con. Local customers avoid downtown because of all the mayhem. Heavenly Cupcake (next door to us) has a line out the door every day, same thing with the Pizza Joints around the corner. If you're here in town for Comic-Con and happen to see this post we'll rent you a bike for $15 (normally $25). Get out of downtown! Explore! Work off those cupcakes and go LARP in Balboa Park!

I spent some time today trying to get an RSS Feed onto the Bike Revolution website. Sometimes I wish I went to school for this type of thing.......oh well, working on bikes is alot easier and doesn't hurt my brain. Got the New racks finished in the shop finally, we are officially reaching pimp-status here at the Bike Revolution. Big Ups to Jeff, Dana, and Rob for coming through with the build and expertise. This idea never would have happened without these guys!

Happy Holidays! Shop Regular Jennifer is sporting her brand new Carbon Fiber Jamis Xenith Comp (which she has been waiting for very patiently I might add). 2010 Models from Jamis are being shipped into the warehouse daily now.

Some more progress on the bike ramp setup in the back of the shop. We moved the office onto the top of the bathroom. This created a giant space for us to build some pimp ramps. Right now I'm thinking 2 6' Quarter Pipes and a 6' Street Spine. My mind is changing daily.

Not too much going on with the shop this week. I'm beginning to hash plans out for building a few ramps to ride in the back. Here's a few pics of some friends and I riding here in San Diego.

Man, I can't wait until Thanksgiving. I'm already dreaming of a Turkey induced Coma, ahhh.

We have NEW Hybrids available for Rent! Fuji Crosstown 2.0's and I've gotten great feedback from customers that have already ridden them. I also have Brand Fuji Road and Mountain Bikes available. Reserve your bike in advance if you specifically want one of these bikes.

Also just in, New Serfas Products. Pretty Cool Co2/Manual Air Pump Combo. Whether you need a super fast fix or have time for the old fashioned way, this pump will provide up to 120 p.s.i. of much needed air. $32 Bones.

The Bike Revolution also has Combo Repair Kits in stock. This includes a Seat Bag, Pump, patches, tire levers, blinky lights, and a multi Tool. Over $70 Retail Value for $55 bux. Pretty good deal IMHO.

We also have some used Bikes available for sale like this 60 Bianchi Via Nirone with Tiagra/105 Mix and Brand New Serfas FPS Tires. $460.

Plenty of Riding, work, and more work. Let's hope that turns into work, riding, riding, in the future.

We now have Pumps, lights, and tires from Serfas in the store. Check out their website, they've got some really cool products out for 2010 like a CO2/Manual Pump (have these in stock).

New HL1.1 Aluminum Headlight from Serfas. This thing kicks ass, kept me from going over the handlebars after a few drinks. Doubles as a handy flashlight as well. Last light you'll need to buy. $40. If you haven't stopped by lately drop on in. Lot's of cool stuff going on down at the shop.

I'm going to try my best to update this site daily. There's alot of excitement around the shop lately. We're getting in new Bikes (we now carry SE, Fuji, and Kestral Bikes) and new accessories on a weekly basis.

New Giro and Bell Helmets starting at $35.

2010 Jamis Durango Mountain Bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes and Lockout Front Fork. Great value for the dollar. $795.

SE Lager Track Bike with Flip/Flop Rear Wheel. This bike looks pimp. Ya gotta see it. $575.
