It's hard to see where the grit ends and the bike begins.

Just when I thought a Surly frame couldn't get any grittier, I can across this 1x1 with a custom black splatter pattern ideal for the muddy winter streets. Needless to say love this paint job.

Someone more knowledgeable will know if this is the way it came out of the factory ( besides the Brookes saddle and the rack), yet even if it is, it still feels bespoke. I just can't get enough of those cut outs in the brake levers.

Another one from the archives back in 2012, that I never got around to posting.

Those clincher bolts on the headstem better be tight as with no compression bolt that thing is a ticking time bomb let alone a source of impalement if they came a cropper. I like the almost all blue fit out even including the tires.

I've never fully understood the theory of not cutting the steering tube down once you have been fitted for your bike, unless the owner was expecting to undergo a growth spurt or two different people are using the bike? Not cutting down steerer tube rant over, I like the use of two different types of handle bar tapes which is something I haven't seen before and all the components work well together.
