Happy New Year to all The Black Cat Jewellery Store fans and followers.

New projects for 2012 are - use more sterling silver in my designs, create a range of Murano glass jewellery, expand my dichroic glass range to include tie/scarf pins, re-photograph all my fan necklaces using the new jewellery bust and try to blog a bit more often. Oh..... and achieve world domination!!

Not much then!! I fell exhausted just thinking about it. I need to lie down......

I'm thinking that this blog would be far more entertaining if it were mainly about cats rather than my jewellery. Lets face it.... cats are far more interesting on a daily basis!!

More Pandora Designs

I am still in the midst of a Pandora craze!! I have widened my range to include bangles, pendants, keyrings and earrings. There is something to suit everyone. I have even tracked down some semi-precious Pandora style beads which I think makes mine a bit different from other designs. This one on the left has black agate and mookaite beads with Japanese ceramic beads. The one below has yellow jade, tiger's eye and mookaite.
There will be lots more designs coming as all the beads that I ordered arrive.

Just to let you all know that my online shops are now open again. I'm still on holiday but my lovely Mum is packing up orders for me. She works tirelessly on my behalf with little reward. (I offered to pay her but she turned it down saying that she didn't want to be 'official'.)

I'm having a holiday this week. My online shops are closed for a few days; probably until Wednesday-ish.
I am staying with my boyfriend which is great but it means that I have had to leave my cat, Lewis, behind at home. I am missing him lots and I am told that he is missing me. :)

Pandora Craze

I have been having a serious 'Pandora' craze!! I have been making all sorts of Pandora style items and therefore buying far too many beads. Oh well, never mind!!

Nearly a month later I am improving a little bit. It is very slow. Thank goodness I now have the energy to run my business but my lovely Mum is helping my with packing up orders each day as this tires me.
Walking anywhere is still a major challenge. I can walk about 10m and then I have to rest.
My gorgeous boyfriend, Andy has been wonderfully supportive throughout this difficult time and has put no pressure on me at all to do more than I can manage. Apart from one, low energy trip to the the pub last week, I haven't been out the house since March.
Sorry all, I seem to write more about M.E. atm than I do about jewellery.
I have been making a few new pieces so I'll let you know about those soon.

HI, I haven't posted for a while because I've been having an absolutely shit time with my M.E. I have suffered a severe relapse which means that I have not been able to do anything. Walking across my (small) room became a challenge. I am improving a bit now but as ever it's very slow.
Because of this I haven't been making much; I just haven't had the energy. Semi-precious beads are heavy and my arms are weak!!!
Hopefully I'll have some photos of new creations to show you soon.

I'm awake!! It's 4.40 a.m. I'm not impressed!! Even Lewis is fed up with me. He was having a lovely sleep until I cuddled him. Now he is sitting with his back firmly towards me in all its wide splendor.
Having had a rough week with my M.E. being awake is not going to help matters.
Must sleep, must sleep. Wish me luck!!

Pussy Cat Peeing Problems. Awwww!!

Lewis (the black cat) has had a traumatic week. He had to go to the vet because he had a blockage in his urethra and couldn't pee. Poor Lewis. How uncomfortable for him.
He had to stay at the vets for a day so that they could unblock him. Apparently his bladder was full of sludge and crystals. Ouchy!!! So now he has to have VERY expensive food to prevent it happening again.
Maybe the week has been more traumatic for me than him...... My bank account is £350 worse off. Bigger Ouch!!
The good news is that Lewis feels much better and LOVES his new food!!!

Hi all,
It's a long time since I have posted on here. I had a really busy 2 months leading up to Christmas and so this is the first chance I've had to blog. (Is that a verb nowadays??)

I have been trying (again) to improve my wire work. Wire and I have a fraught relationship. It doesn't seem to do what I want it to.

However, this attempt seems to have been more successful. I've managed to make some rings and have sold 2 of them so they can't be too bad!!
