Over the last couple months I haven't been doing much on Blender at all and I have moved my focus to programming and game development on Corona SDK. Here are some images from the work that I've been doing occasionally throughout the months. I hope you like them as always!

Ocean Test - Yafaray

Just recently installed an experimental version of 64 bit Yafaray render engine and decided to try and render a small scene using the ocean simulator. Model is at 20 resolution.

Engineering I Robot Assignment

Assignment: Make a robot using syringes as hydraulics to make a robotic arm that picks up magnetic golf balls out of a plate and putting it in your base hole before the opponent does.

Solution: 3 piston arm that moves left to right and up and down with an electromagnet at the end wrapped around a bolt.

Result: Although we didn't win the class competition, we still achieved a respectable second place due to human error.

This model is almost complete except for the incomplete wood texture and No wiring around the electromagnet bold on the end of the arm.

All made in Blender 2.62 and rendered with Cycles render engine.

Blender 2.61 is out and official Cycles support is finally here. Here is a test render that shows some of the results that can be achieved in a fairly quick amount of time.

It's been a long nineteen days since my last post and school has been taking a lot of time. I haven't been able to work on blender very much at all but I do have a minor update here. I have now rigged the wheels to turn and rotate properly with the car body. In addition I have been working on adjusting lighting in the scene and I am still very open to suggestions. Here are some fresh renders I've gotten after tinkering with materials and some settings. The interior is not started yet so I made the windshield material transparent but less glossy.This is in no way final and I am open to criticism as always!

Koenisegg CCR8 update!

I've continued on the modeling of this auto and have finally resolved the issues with the rear (at least I think so; feel free to criticize) and I am continuing onto the details and will soon start the wheels. My focus will be to create everything as accurately as possible by using the least amount of vertices I can. Here are some renders:

M5 Technical Difficulties

The M5 hasn't moved on much past the side panels of the body due to difficulties in modelling the curves of the rear wing that continue onto the rear passenger doors... Meanwhile, I have been working on a Koenisegg CCR8. Here are some development pictures!

Throughout the making of my S5 I had learned many new modelling techniques and I would like to start a new project and apply them and use them to their full potential. I have decided to start modelling a BMW M5 E60! My main goal for this project is to drastically decrease the amount of vertices used ( over 1 million in the Audi) to under 700,00 while preserving and hopefully increasing detail. I had just started this morning and I have finished the front bumper and hood. Here are some pictures.

Audi S5 Complete!

I have finally completed my Audi S5! The whole thing was modeled inside of blender and rendered using the internal blender render engine.The model took me roughly a month to complete with periodic breaks and consists of over 1 million faces and vertices! I have uploaded a short 10 second video to the BlenderCentral channel on YouTube if you guys want to check that out. I hope you guys like the model and enjoy the pics!
