Thank you so much, Susanna, Amy and everyone who has donated, for the gift of the auction and the gift of your support! We are SO close to Gotcha Day and the auction will be a big step toward getting us funded for final fees and travel. God has been so faithful in providing what we need at EXACTLY the time it’s required and He has used events such as this to do it. We are so excited to see what He will do!

Nicole, we could see many benefits both for us and for Joseph of having him with us for this trip. We left it up to him to decide whether he wanted to go, as he is paying his own airfare. We told him he would not regret going. Receiving the news of his decision was one of the best Mother’s Day gifts I’ve ever received!

And…I’m breastfeeding Benjamin, so where mama goes, baby goes, too!

I really loved this post :-). As you know, Susanna, we have seven children. Our oldest, is twelve years old, and she has a very rare genetic disorder. Then we have gone on to have had six other children behind her. They are amazing blessings! It has been hard…and good :-). I just wanted to say, I think a few of our strengths have been to see our family as a full time ministry. My husband is a very hands-on dad and has a flexible schedule. He really does devote himself to me and our children. He is not involved in any church leadership type roles in this very long season of his life. He helps me, make it all happen. We belong to a church and attend, we love the body of Christ and need the fellowship. Yet, we have seasons of not being able to make it to church, and my husband leads wonderful family devotions. It has only caused my children to love going to church even more. It has not hindered them in anyway that we see :-). A daddy leading his family, even when the circumstances are not ideal, is priceless! Above all, I know it is The Lord who carries us!

Yay!! Go get him him!! Praise God! :-). We are doing our online Hague training for our adoption, and I am always still amazed to hear how the majority of orphans placed in families, immediately make huge strides in physical growth. I can only imagine the emotional and spiritual growth too! And I don’t even understand the time and work it takes for the children and new families, as this growth happens. I am excited to bring our little one home, someday too! So very happy for you, Susanna.

The fact that you will be picking him up on the anniversary of that blog post gives me chills. God cares about the details. He is so good to us! Praising the Lord with you today, Susanna!
For three months, I have been in prayer for a little one I named Samuel. He is eighteen months old and I just learned today that in a week or two he will be placed in a family! And his mother is a friend of a friend, so I will likely get to meet this little soul! I am so grateful.
