Starting to Feel It

June is almost over and I am finally starting to feel the Halloween Spirit possess my soul.

I will have to scale down the display a little bit this year due to a budget crunch and I need to finally get some grass growing in the front yard. Planting in September won't allow me to put much on the grass but I have some ideas brewing.

What a great way to start the day. The Walking Dead has already been picked up for a second season.

I finally watched the second episode last night, I especially loved the guts suits.

Such a sad time of year. The decorations are down and put away. The air is cooling at an alarming rate and the sun sets so early that any activity outside after work is almost impossible. I guess I will go into hibernation until spring.

I Love The Walking Dead

I finally got around to watching The Walking Dead last night, the DVR is such a great invention.
I really loved the first show. I found myself getting mad at Rick especially when he just blindly rides into Atlanta and eventually gets pulled off the horse. What was he thinking? I can't wait until Sunday for the next episode.

We moved the pumpkins to the left side of the house and setup a cemetery on the main lawn. I love the cemetery but everyone still loves the pumpkins. Go figure.

A Little Down Leads to a Big Up

So as Halloween fast approached and I finished the last of my setup on Friday, I started feeling down. I became a little depressed. Such a giant build up and then it is over so fast. During the day on Saturday, I actually felt like taking it all down.

But as night descended upon us and the candles were lit, I felt a renewed sense of joy. The display looks so much better at night. By Sunday I was all better and ready for the new year.

I am going to try and build a gigantic prop for next year and hope to start the build in January.

For anyone out there feeling blue, I give you Ministry's Every Day is Halloween.
