OUR REVIEW:

THE GOOD: I really enjoy reading this blog. Having acquired a lifetime of culinary knowledge myself, I found this blog very interesting to read. Not only does it have great step-by-step recipes, but the commentaries and waste logs break the monotony of a typical recipe website. It also formats well for the Kindle.

THE BAD: The only bad thing is that I would love it to be updated more often. Right now it is 9-12 times a month. However, the articles are interesting enough to overlook this ;-)

THE GOOD: I guess to a select few this blog might actually be interesting. But to the average consumer or reader this will hardly get your juices stirring. It's just plain, well... BORING! It is updated regularly though.

THE BAD: There are many podcasts in the posts, so you, of course, won't be able to access those on the Kindle. Probably much better suited for a web audience (the select few who won't fall asleep).

THE GOOD: Not much...

THE BAD: I was really looking forward to this blog. I truly thought it was going to deliver up some great insight to the Nursing Profession and/or the nursing perspective on the medical field or even some other useful information. I was wrong. The title says it all - Just a typical, tired, "no social lifed" Nursing Student who groans, moans and complains as she takes us through her time in Nursing School. My own Mother is a nurse and even she said that although it brought back a few memories of Nursing School, she would rather not hear about someone else's person day to day plights. She said, "I have enough of my own - this is more like a Soap Opera, and who the hell would want to watch one of those!?"

*Although it formats well for the Kindle, It is only updated with 1 article every 3-5 weeks. (10 total articles since August, 2009).

If you are going to offer your blog as a paid subscription on the Kindle or any other platform, you owe it to the readers to have regular updates and articles.

THE GOOD: I tried very hard to find some by reading over 2 dozen articles. Just couldn't find a lick of information in this blog that was even remotely interesting. Just useless ramblings.

THE BAD: Useless Ramblings. Not interesting at all. Subjects jump around like fleas on a smelly housecat... Shhh! That's confidential.

PERSONAL NOTE: I especially couldn't relate to a particular article where they talked about someone getting a job, receiving "draws" against future sales and then quitting without having made a sale. And the crime in this is what? I wouldn't stay at a job that I didn't make a sale at either. But Wired 4 Leadership thinks to think this is a 'Fraudulent Crime'. So next time you get a job and receive advanced commissions, you better damn well stay at it til' you die - or make enough sales to cover the advances!"

THE BAD: This blog seems to focus on the negative things in Catholic Life and No-Catholic life alike. Where are the positive articles? I am not even Catholic, but still didn't find anything even remotely interesting about any of the dozens of articles I read. Many videos in the posts so, of course, they don't show up on Kindle. Also, the articles are usually very short with a picture and description only.

BLOG'S DESCRIPTION: My name is Misty... and Im obsessed with my Kindle. The books, the gadget, you name it, I LOVE it, but most of all, I write reviews.

70% of the books I review are YA paranormal because that's my general audience, but I LOVE a good psychological thriller...

I will guarantee you this though...I do not write your everyday, garden variety reviews, I write the kind that get a little gritty, pull out the stops and tell you EXACTLY what I think. I dont sugar coat, I dont play nice just to placate an author, and most importantly, I give the details that YOU...the average reader... want to know.

Is this a good book?
Should I read it?
Was it sad..happy...disturbing?

My objective is to make people happy with what they read...so I weed out the crap for them. Give me a book, give me a thesaurus. Im not picky about the genre, just the quality.

Happy reading my fellow Kindle-ites, and remember...

Its your money! Shouldnt you at least enjoy what youre spending it on?

THE GOOD: Formats well for the Kindle, but since it is mostly limited to just the few genre(s) she likes, it doesn't appeal to the masses.

THE BAD: Although Misty does exactly what she claims to do (pull no punches on book reviews), the blog is lacking creativity, substance and variety (mostly paranormal genre).

THE GOOD: Some great deals from different websites around the net if you jump right on them as soon as they are posted.

THE BAD: Many of the deals are already expired by the time you receive them. The categories are not updated with new deals (for example, the Disney Vacations section's latest deal had to be used by October, 2009). It requires you to use the web to follow any links that you want to use anyhow, so not much point in reading it on the Kindle.

CHASE MORGAN

Capt. Chase Morgan grew up in Coral Gables, FL where he developed a love for fishing while spending time with his father. The hours they spent together established a firm foundation for the passion that Chase now has for all types of fishing.

Chase became a guide at age 24 and Allen Harding was Chase’s first paying customer and they enjoyed unbelievable success right from the beginning. On that fist trip, Allen landed 14 Dolphin (Dorado) on spinning reels in a 3/4 day of fishing. Finding that accomplishment difficult to top, Chase worked hard on every charter and quickly developed a reputation of being a patient, extremely hard working and enthusiastic guide. OUR REVIEW:

THE GOOD: This is an excellent blog about fishing. It covers mostly saltwater fishing, but occasionally has freshwater articles and advice. It's informative, interesting and some articles are even funny. Definitely a must for serious and amateur anglers alike. Formats well for the kindle and is updated frequently.

THE BAD: A pointless blog of random historical facts and trivia. No rhyme or reason to the posts at all. Sporadic updates (sometimes just 8 times a month, sometimes 13 sometimes 25).

THE GOOD: There are some great jokes on here that I have never heard before. Updates frequently. Variety of jokes. Kindle version is actually better than the web version (the web version takes forever to load due to a million ads and other junk - even with high speed internet).

THE BAD: No pictures in any of the jokes for visual effect. It's simply that - a joke a day.
