Alive & Well, But Drunk. Ha!

My, My, Hey, Hey

2012-02-17T15:21:00.000-08:00

Subtle intricacies of each heart beat
Rain upward from a drummers' feet
Red & Blue
It looked at you
Are you jealous?
Said the bird that flew.

I fly so extremely high
Familiar with the mural sky
I wish upon stars
To simply speak with you
We sillily seek things we cannot do.

Saw the sun, saw the beach, saw the people, on the street. I came to Los Angeles 'bout 9 years ago.

Listen, baby
Just take it easy
Just ride in your car
Goooo round the strip and uh
All the other places
People look good
Everywhere I go
Long hair, fancy clothes
Must be the start
Must be the start of something new
So I'll get close to you baby

Are you a lucky little lady in the city of light?
Or just another lost angel, city of night.

Summertime,
The livin' is easy
The fish are jumpin',
The cotton is high

Your daddy's rich, yeah
Your momma's good lookin'
Hush little baby
Don't you cry

Love hides in the strangest places
Love hides in familiar faces
Love hides in narrow corners
Love hides in molecular structures
Love comes when you least expect it
Love comes to those who seek it
Love hides inside the rainbow
Love is everything, yeah.
Allll right.

I see people out there campin'

I see they got their food and wine

I see cops cowering under helmets

I see cats hiding in the pines

I think the orange has been peeled

I hear the casket being sealed

I hear castanets on stone

I see government overthrown

Click clack

And we met on the hill

Mayor Beehan rolled up

In a coupe de ville

Or perhaps it was a hearse

Colorless and mean

Carrying the

American Dream.

I saw the last drive-in film

I wrote the obituary on a napkin

Classy.

I coolly backed out of the parking lot

and moved to France

I see your golden ribbons
I see your new plaid scarf
Radiant, mesmerizing
Attractive
In the most
Absolute form
Stunning & shining
With knowledge
We become collage
Love deluge
Touch? sure
We should

It ain't fun w/o you. Life is it.

Let's Swim to the M000000N, uh huh.

I want to go down by the bustling beach
Lots of people & brand new friends to meet

We can dance and drink til the morning sun
Days go by until we find the one

Venice streets filled with happy feet
Walking, laughing, refusing a seat

Live for the lovely coming of the day
Learn to love in little ways

We can groove & sleep & dream again
When you love the soul there is no end

Life is a game
Tell me your name
Beneath the layers
Of fortune and fame
Choose your day
Choose your night
We will watch
The fire bright
Steel guitar
From afar
Here it is
There you are
Abandon car
Board a ship
Times have changed
Time to get hip
I search inside
No soul, no pride
No heart, no mind
We have become Blind

Less Pride In Red Sox Nation

2011-04-07T18:45:00.000-07:00

My team, the Red Sox, have done a complete disservice to the City of Boston, by losing their first six (6) games of the season. I have officially lost all confidence in Kevin Youkilis. His batting average has stooped to .105 and his careless play has plagued the rest of the squad like a fatal case of West Nile Virus. They are doomed. Perhaps Youkilis is a former steroid abuser who has recently quit his addiction, leading to the Red Sox journey into the bottomless pit of Failure.

Which may or may not be true. But anything is possible in this chemical induced era, full of swine and greed and treachery.

Hot damn. My words are getting a bit nasty. So, that's all for now, folks. That is all ye know and all ye need to know. I have expressed my anger towards Kevin - and hopefully it leads to a Win sooner or later.

Buenos noches,

He Is Me

2011-04-06T17:45:00.000-07:00

Who is he?
He is me
Imagining Peace
Under the peach tree
Birds fly
By and by
Wallowing ashore
Dusk is nigh
Help me king
For I am too weak
Love is universal
In every language we speak
Gone with the wind
Please take me away
Lost beneath the sun
Like children, we play
A picnic basket
A cheap bottle of wine
Thick red rocks
Bathing in sunshine

Vow to take the trip
To the unknown side
Fields rich with wisdom
Where the pharaoh's died
Round and round
Expose your ears
To a foreign sound
I am here
You are there
Our lives define symmetry
One Earth we must share
Shadows linger
One here
One there
Who is he?
He is me
We have made Peace
Around the peach tree

Come One, Come All, Some Run, Some Crawl

2011-04-05T23:46:00.000-07:00

There are extremely rare qualities that help certain immigrants adapt to a wildly stereotypical nation, such as the United States. But assimilation gets my vote as the most important concept in social science. Certain individuals find it easy to assimilate and become acclimated to their surroundings, whereas others are extremely shy and sad for no good reason at all. Assimilation is an example of giving up your Free Will, an act that lowers your guard, leaving yourself completely exposed and vulnerable. At times, it appears as though the immigrant is afraid to practice their true religion or act on their Real thoughts. If they did, of course, they would be committing ethnic pluralism to the highest degree, and that, my friend, has become the Hot Topic in the news nowadays. Ethnic pluralism demonstrates pride in your own culture, while respecting the traditions and Gatherings of the host country. These people practice their true religion, regardless of society's view on the matter, and I respect that - even though I am a skeptical Atheist. This is our world today, for good or ill. Why can't everyone get along or at least show some decency for the human race? It boggles my mind. While assimilation decreases the diversity in a nation, ethnic pluralism facilitates the process of generating a Culturally Wealthy Nation, as my father used to say. However, transnationalism is extremely common, and it simply refers to any process of social interaction beyond national borders. Listen to this statistic, $300 billion remitted annually by worldwide immigrants. These monetary gains are typically sent back to the immigrants' home country to help their family purchase food, water, or what have you. This is huge. The global technological advances that have occurred over the past 10 years are tremendous, to say the least. They allow people from all over the world to communicate via media apparel such as cellular phone, internet, and the like. But above all, I must say that I enjoy learning about and prefer the Ethnic Pluralism method of transitioning into a more preferred nation such as the United States or even Canada. The vast amount of culture is good for your soul and don't let anyone from the Dark Side tell you any different, soldier. I know, I am an Atheist, but I do truly respect religion. Not so much the content, but I admire the gorilla-like strength of the author's vocabulary. Most biblical texts consist of near-perfect poetry. And I enjoy seeing the drive and passion that religion instills in someone's soul, whether the words and practices are true or not. So let's skip the political gibberish and speed straight to the heart of this thing. People should be more accepting of immigrants and attempt to become culturally aware. Most people are good people. Give them a chance. Mahalo.
