Here is my last Vietnam post! (Thank God… otherwise I would have bored you with my trip until April). This is the look that I wore for our Christmas dinner, I am the first to admit that my choice of outfit seems a little odd in retrospect but you have to remember that it was incredibly hot in Vietnam.. I am generally not a big fan of floral or any other types of print but I ocassionaly fall victim to it, as was the case with this dress-love at first sight. I had not got a chance to wear it when I bought it in the summer so I took full advantage of the amazing weather in Vietnam. Loooooots and loooooots of love. I will see you tonight with a more wintery look!!

I couldn’t wait to show you this 6 pages editorial for Vogue Brazil: when I finally received the paper copies at home last week I was jumping all over the place like crazy and still couldn’t believe it.
We created this editorial during my stay in Brazil last October/November in Sao Paulo: the photos were shot by Renam Christofoletti at Unique Hotel, mixing european designers and brazilian ones (including Luiza Barcelos shoes).
Brazil is one of those places that touch your hear: It has never happened to me to experience so many beautiful moments in one trip. If everything goes well I’ll be back there for work next March, once fashionweeks are over: you can Imagine how happy I am just thinking about it

Anyone that follows Helen Flanagan on Twitter will be used to seeing the actress in various states of near nakedness, thanks to her penchant for posting sexy snaps of herself.

However, Hels gave her Twitter followers (and every man in the world) a treat yesterday by tweeting pictures from her sexiest photoshoot to date - in which she appears TOTALLY nude.

In one shot the former Coronation Street star is pictured lying on her front with her rather lovely bare bottom on full display while she peeks up at the camera.

And it's not just beauty that the former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here star boasts. The actress - who recently announced that she plans to study A-levels in the hopes of getting into university - is putting her brain to good use too, following news that she is in the process of writing a book about her experience of Attention Deficit Disorder.

Helen said she was penning the book in the hopes that it will help others dealing with the condition.

She tweeted: "Working on a book at the moment that I've been trying to write for ages. Want to write about the issues I've had and talk about my attention deficit disorder."

She added: "I want it to be very honest and for it to be a comfort for other girls who might struggle with similar things."

Hels also tweeted a mock-up of the book cover, which had the title Every Girl Is A Princess.

Helen last year revealed that the reason she left her role as Rosie Webster in Coronation Street was due to suffering from the condition.

She said she was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder and bipolar and decided to stop taking her medication after a friend on the set of Corrie mocked her for rattling when she walked because she was on so many tablets.

Helen said she stopped medicating for a year and a half and didn’t tell anyone, which lead to thoughts of suicide creeping in.

“One day I was driving into the ITV studios and I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if I just crashed my car now and it was all over?’,” she told The Sun.

After that Helen left Corrie to concentrate on getting better and she also sought counselling.

This skirt is one of my top; if not my favourite item in my wardrobe this summer, but I haven’t worn it nearly as much as I had hoped for. It is so stunning that styling proves difficult to give it justice. I’ve worn it with a baggy grey tee or singlet, but I always picture it with a beautiful white shirtthat I strangely do not own. While I was in Hamilton Island I was seemingly reflecting the lobster face the sun gifted me within one day, by wearingthe rosebud skirt with my favourite backless dress as a top. I’ve worn this dress a few times on its own once but mainly as a top underneath skirts, and still surprise myself with every wear for how cheap it was (under $30 when I purchased!).

In spite of the fact I love my job and I could work 24h a day, I have to admit that sometimes it is nice to wake up with no hurry, cuddle and say ‘Buongiorno’ to my little Giulio and to start the day with a good healthy breakfast. Not bad, not bad at all!

This is my sweet moment of the day and I love it. This doesn’t mean you can eat whatever and how much you want. Always bear in mind you have to eat what you need, give your body what it really needs, not a crumb more. We have to learn to listen to our body. I think this is the secret to keep fit and always feel good.

Carbohydrates, proteins and good fats must be good balanced at all our meals, especially at breakfast, and, in my case, at second breakfast! Yes, I usually have a first, bigger breakfast after waking up and a small one later, after 2-3 hours, when I start to feel hungry, but it is not time for lunch yet. This is even more meaningful if you think that we usually wake up very early when we shoot, at 6am, 5am, sometimes even earlier…it is important to eat something during the morning: not to feel too hungry at lunchtime, to give your body further energy and boost metabolism. Concerning to this, it is proved that the most important thing is not to leave your stomach empty and without working for a long time. Eat small quantity of food at regular intervals is the most important habit to follow.

For my first breakfast I usually have a probiotic drink, wholemeal cereals/Biscuits and coffee milk. If you -like me- are allergic to lactose or you simply do not feel well when you drink milk –even if skimmed- try to substitute it with almonds milk. I love it: light, healthy, and very tasteful! Actually you don’t need to add sugar in your coffee, it gets sweet enough. Later, the small break could be a large piece of fruit/a fresh fruit juice or a cereal snack or a low fat yoghurt, for example.

Another rule: determination and willpower!! Everybody can eat well!! When I travel I stay away from attractive buffets and all the tasty and grease food they offer. 99% of the times they are ‘bad’ fats that do not give you the right energy to face the day. Fruits, yoghurt & cereals are on the contrary always a good option, together with a huge cup of black, hot and sugar-free coffee. Real Italians drink coffee like this !! I mean, stronger is impossible

After landing in Nice we drove for around one hour to reach what would be our location for the following three days.

After crossing the border, I felt immediately at home. Finally shooting in my beloved Italy! Hearing speaking my mother language everywhere and tasting the best food of the world! (Allow my Italian heart to talk please) And finally…a team made up of 6 women!! Yes, a women production. If in addition to this you add the fact that 5 out of 6 were blonde (coming from Sweden and Denmark) well…then you will imagine why during our stay in the little village of Olivetta San Michele – 254 inhabitants – our blondy team was the piece of news of the day.

Three days of production, three different editorials and covers for one of the most important Swedish fashion magazines. I really had a great time there and I am very proud of the perfect organization of all the team. In spite of the clouds, the wind and the half rainy day, we could take advantage of the little sun and everything turned out to be very easy, also thanks to my beloved Italian strong and black Espresso, which –once again- literally saved me and helped us to face the cold and the early wake-up calls.

I’m not sure I’ve ever loved a photoshoot quite as much as I love this one. When I first saw it, I literally emailed the lovely Erin and squealed. Out loud. It not only checks all of the SMP = Love boxes (gold, glitter, gorgeous calligraphy, I could go on and on), it ups the style ante to game changer status. It’s the bride’s glamorous but Boho fabulous vibe. The sparkle infused into every corner, the gown, the color palette, the flowers…I’m sorry, I should have said, THE FLOWERS. And don’t even get me started on the confetti bar. This shoot by Mimi Nicole Events with perfect photographs by Ed Osborn, is all I’ve ever wanted in the world. And there is so much more right here.

From Jillian Nicole of Mimi Nicole Events… One of the best things about working in the wedding industry is the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with other artists! Having the freedom to throw ideas around and brainstorm concepts is so fun + a wonderful way to stretch those creative muscles! Which is why, when Erin of BerinMade approached me about collaborating on a shoot for the launch of her new Love Stamps Collection, I was immediately on board!

The inspiration behind the shoot came from Erin’s Love Stamps, which are great for the DIY Bride–they allow the Bride to buy everything she’ll need for her stationery in stamp form and then DIY her own invitations. For this particular set, Erin used Kraft, Black, and Gold as her main color palette. The envelopes were lined with gold glitter, which led to the idea of a Confetti Bar, which led to the idea of a New Year’s Eve Dinner Party Wedding. We loved the idea of an elegant, intimate wedding and set out to bring it to life! We rounded up our favorite London artists, and together, I think we created an enchanting evening perfect for a chic, city couple ringing in the New Year and the start to a new life together! We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life!

Little Blue House

Today I met up with a few other Sydney blogger babes and had a play in the Door 121 showroom. At one point I actually just sat down in front of these chocolate covered pretzels and had a little snack. I'm now obsessed with them and it's reminded me to make some of my own!

Even though the Sydney summer has just decided to kick in, I absolutely love this coat by Minty Meets Munt. A major staple piece that I'll be wearing most of next winter, I can already tell!

On Sunday we went out again to say farewell to friends who are going away over the summer to travel, some for even longer than the summer. Wanderlust is kicking in but my desire to save money, for the grand traveller's dream in a year's time, is still holding me to the ground here in Sydney for the summer.

You can't tell in these photos but my shades are hiding a mean sunburn from the amazing sunshine we had on Sunday. Let's hope we have more stunning days like that over the next few weeks (but hopefully not the sunburn)!

Yesterday I took a little trip into Surry Hills to visit the team at August St & Pink Stitch. More photos from behind the scenes coming in a post next! I wore this little outfit to skip around town in. I am usually spotted in heels or boots but these amazing jewelled sandals have won me over! I was blown away when I opened the box when they arrived on my doorstep. If you're a follower of my Instagram then you'll know that each pair of the Aleeyas come with a second jewelled strap that you can swap on the sandals. So gorgeous!

Welcome to Take Courage!

My name is Cat, I'm 25 and, for five sevenths of the week, I'm a commercial solicitor in the City. I spend the other two sevenths rummaging through endless shelves of vintage clothing (much to the annoyance of my boyfriend, The Texan), collecting unusual antiques (or junk, depending on your opinion), finding new things to do in the greatest city in the world, and generally getting through life on a shoestring (Law School wasn't cheap!). I dislike snow, the tube in summer, being on aeroplanes, and an untidy house. I love watching Judge Judy in the morning, mojitos, my cat Lily, and the seaside on a windy day.

The Texan and I spent this afternoon gathering supplies from our local forest so that we can deck our halls with boughs of holly, tralalalala lala la laaaa. As I write this, the Texan is making a mega wreath to rival our neighbours' feeble attempt - mwahahaha haha ha haaaa. I promise a photo soon to prove that everything really is bigger in Texas...

Dress up Friday

Do you have a "dress down Friday" at work? This is a new concept to me, since I've never worked anywhere where four days of the week you're expected to "dress up". It's incredible how the transition from a "I'm gonna sue your ass" suit to blue jeans and a cable-knit cardigan can totally change your perception of the rainmaker at the end of the corridor. For 80% of the working week I'm pretending to be Ally McBeal or Elle Woods or Erin Brockovich (I'm kidding - I've never even watched Ally McBeal - but you get the idea). But on Friday I can be Cat. Cat who likes vintage dresses. Cat who likes to take photos. Cat the fashion blogger.

GETTING READY FOR THE NIGHT What I love the most about being a woman are all those little comforting yet so relaxing things to do while getting ready to go out. Like burning some sweet scented candles, doing the make-up, and the nails, and the hair... And you can do everything actually. Not that you can only do those things if you're a girl but let's say that James isn't really into my whole ritual. He prefers to sleep while I'm pampering... During our journey in Mexico we had the chance to stay in a gorgeous hotel situated in the Polanco region called Las Alcobas. The interior of the place is beyond gorgeous, very modern and exclusive with a great light : James was happy like a clam for the pictures. We had in our room the most amazing bathroom, with a gigantic jaccuzi bathtub and a high-tech waterfall shower. The result was that I stayed litterally 2 hours in there, trying out the amazing body care samples, doing some scrubs and masks. I mean, there is simply nothing more relaxing than that and it's the best way to feel full of energy for the night.

As we were going out for drinks that night, I decided to wear my new dress from Alpinestars, a brand created by the talented Denise Focil. This dress is the perfect option, in my opinion, for the winter holidays : as a classy christmas look or simply for a date. It's really elegant yet the silk skirt capture the light and looks incredibly shiny. I decided to combine it to some new earrings from Juicy Couture which I purchased at the mall on the same day and added a bright touch of burgundy lipstick to give the whole look a little touch of colour. I think at the end, this outfit turns out to be very femme fatale, yet quite romantic too. What's yoFur opinion?

Who is Daniel Wellington? The story behind the brand…

The story behind Daniel Wellington begins with a trip half way around the globe where Filip Tysander, the founder of Daniel Wellington, met an intriguing gentleman from the British Isles. The man had the inspiring ability to be gentlemanly but still relaxed and unpretentious. He had an impeccable style, and loved to wear his Rolexes on old weathered Nato straps, which he’d kept from his years in the British army. His name? Well, Daniel Wellington, of course.

A strong friendship emerged between the two, and our founder was inspired not only by the mans many great life stories but also by his class and timeless style of fashion. As we now know, he was so inspired that he decided to name his line of watches after him. We believe that we’ve managed to capture a bit of Daniel and his style in our watches, and a year to date, we trust that Daniel would be proud of what we’ve achieved.

The Daniel Wellington Watch

The “pre.ppy” trend is bigger than ever before. And while there are many big players in the fashion industry that caters to preppy needs, such as Ralph Lauren, Gant and Brooks Brothers, we felt that there was an empty space in the watch market. There was something missing.

We believe that Daniel Wellington fills that gap. Our vision is that when someone thinks of a preppy dressed person, he or she is wearing a Daniel Wellington watch

The watch design

Daniel Wellington loved to wear his Rolex watches on old Nato straps. We liked the idea and feel of the mix so much that we wanted to incorporate the idea into our own line of watches. However, we felt it important to make the watch thin and elegant – we wanted a clean design, without too many features, that would look good with the different patterns and colours of the classic Nato straps.

After returning from his trip, Filip sat down and started looking at different watches he liked himself. It was important that he loved the watch personally, or he knew that he could never sell it and be proud over it. He liked to use Daniel Wellington as a type of quality assurance and would often ask himself; would this be good enough for Daniel? Could he be seen wearing one of our watches on the beaches of some remote island?

Slowly but surely, a beautiful watch emerged. It was thin, refined and perfectly round. It was minimalistic and didn’t have too many details. We believe that the traditional, yet crisp design blends together perfectly with the colourful Nato strap and will appeal to almost everyone with a sense for classic and timeless design.

The Nato strap

The straps themselves are an important part of the watch. Nato straps originate from the British navy, where divers would use the strong nylon straps over their wet suits. Even though they were originally made to avoid rust, we love the look and versatility of them. That’s why we wanted to create a line of different straps with different colours and patterns – but all with a strong bond to the British Isles.

Sean Connery, another big fan of the Nato strap, wore one in James Bond movie “Dr No”. Need we say more?

A watch for every occasion

The Daniel Wellington watch is suitable for every occasion. Regardless if you’re attending a black tie event, playing a game of tennis or enjoying a sunny day at the beach club – the Daniel Wellington is a beautiful companion.

Not only that, but with interchangeable straps you can have a different watch for every day of the week.
