Here’s some new music for you. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland we have a rapper who goes by the handle of OG Dutch Master. After the success of his most recent mixtape, Art Of War, he decided to treat his fans to even more music in the form of a short EP known as 3.5 Gramz. Dimez is taken from that EP and Dutchy has recently dropped the visuals to this track.

Produced by Randy Savage, the beat and lyrics combined gives the track a Jet Life Recordings feel, reminiscent of the likes of Curren$y, Young Roddy and Smoke DZA. It’s a smooth track that’s been given a simple music video to accompany it, the video does nothing to hurt the laid back feel of the track at all.

I felt that it’s only right to keep you guys up to date with what is going on with TheBluMile.

As many of you have noticed already, TheBluMile has been quiet for the past 6 months. This is not only due to other commitments such as completing our final year of the dreadful slavery they like to call University but also making sure that our return is harder and more advanced than before.

We’re still about!

So expect to see us at many events/shows around town.

Most importantly, we will still be delivering content. More likely to be about events, competitions, give aways and any thing that we’re personally involved in, rather than regular news.

We don’t expect the website to be done this summer as it has become rather complex, but we are more than confident that you’ll love the new idea.

So until then… we’re #GoneTillNovember (Not literally, but hopefully). I have included the hit Wyclef record to set the mood.

|New Music| Tanaka Samuel – All Night Long/Pull Me Away

Hi guys, it’s been a minute! Site traffic has gone down due to the preparation of The Blu Mile 3.0 which is due to be epic. But this couldn’t wait. I’d like to introduce to you the talent that is 21 year old, multi-genre boundary crossing, London based producer known as Tanaka Samuel.

I heard the preview for this some months back, but he wasn’t comfortable releasing it due to his perfectionist nature making him want to add more to it. More comes in the form of this near 8 minute long double-sided Deep House single called “All Night Long/Pull Me Away”, a release that draws influence form the UK Garage scene that was dominating the airwaves years ago. Consisting R&B vocal cuts, atmospheric synth breaks and catchy melody, this wouldn’t sound out of place in any club or on a project by The Internet. Great stuff if I may say so myself.

The singles are available as a set on Soundcloud for free download, vinyls and visuals to it will be released in the near future. Here’s something new for you guys. A new music video from two members of the South London rap collective, Clipstar. This video entitled Observations sees Temz and Berry in a local bar (no, they’re not drinking) reflecting on life and their recent observations that encompasses topics such as incarcerated friends, ex girlfriends, money and pagans (fake/disloyal friends for those who don’t speak colloquially).

It brings a nice, mellow vibe that isn’t about being showy and braggadocios but still has a focus on clever wordplay that’ll have you pressing replay on YouTube just to understand what’s been said. Temz’s wordplay compliments Berry’s direct approach to make an all around good song which is coupled by a nice video. Peep the cameos from the other Clipstar members too!

I know we’re not that active right now and we apologise, dont worry BLUMILEV3 is coming and it’s going to blow your minds. In the mean time a little french robot duo from France are on the comeback trail and have brought Pharrell. After teasing us with a 1 min video of the track on SNL over in the US and at Coachella we now have the full version of the single from ‘the robots’ who are set to destroy the summer with their album ‘Random Access Memories’ due out on May 21st. Heres the lead single ‘Get Lucky’ right here, let us know what you think and we’ll be updating you with great stuff very soon!
