Roger's position in the next three years (Our assumptions)

So what is our take on Roger's role in the next three years?

1. Roger has not retired because he has NO suitable candidate in his party to elect. Each of them is either debating retirement or are tainted with corruption in the public eye. The next three years, or less, he needs to find a successor.

2. The problem is he can elect anyone on his board right now. We are sure he is ready. His pension is topped. The problem is he has to part with his war chest and find someone who is ready to take the tax increase heats coming. Someone leading the Titanic under.

3. Therefore, this is no easy task. With Roger debating on sitting on other boards for extra money, he will try to influence this next person. We will call this candidate "the puppet".

4. His last recourse is to drop before the next election, and let elections take its course. Since he is never one to allow fair elections, we doubt this one.

5. Currently he takes direction from Kavinaugh, but you won't find this out of towner running. He makes too much in the residual lawsuits he gets. $140K salary is chump change. We do, however, know he will be at the bottom of this direction, pulling all puppet strings.

6. In finality, there is no saving the path of destruction. The next Mayor will take all the crap and will try to rebuild. It is not a job many would want. There are no rewards in that.

Congratulations residents who voted for Roger a few years ago instead of voting for me. Congratulations to the residents who did not even vote that year. You got exactly what I said you would get if Roger was back in office.

You got slashed safety services and a nice big fat 24% raise this year alone in Village Taxes. So why aren't you celebrating? You won, right?

You allowed Roger and his group to slander my name, to jeopardize my daughter and my own safety, and run up bills in your name. All because I saw the numbers and told you about it. They tried to get me to shut up. They tried to hide it. They illegally booted me off the ballot twice. They threatened my family. They even public ally called me a murderer.

So celebrate! Enjoy your success of the election win... I hope it is worth it, you get what you voted for.

In 2009 I ran on exposing corruption and exposing the truth. I exposed the large bond debt that the current administrations ran up and told you the bonds had to be paid. People would loose their jobs. Taxes would continue to skyrocket. Matter of fact I think I estimated by 2020 Bolingbrook would be completely bankrupt and almost a ghost town. This is the year I said it would start to happen. *puff, magic*

Some people said my PhD was not enough. Some said my experience in owning and running my own businesses was not enough. Some even say the thousands of $ I spent to inform others was not enough.

I couldn't have given you more. I offered my time, energy, talent, education, experience, and a love of Bolingbrook, to try to save you all from the pending disaster that has ruined my childhood community. The community that I love.

So let's get down to it. What % of Police, fire, etc. has been cut from safety in three years. How many more in the next 7? Your taxes are being paid for the sole purpose of safety, but 80% of it is not going to that. It goes to the top heavy admin salaries.

How could our village taxes jump so much in one year? Because Roger is in his last year of elections, so let the bonds come due. Oh, he won't admit that he is leaving, or he cannot keep taking war chest funds, which he will give to his favorite charity soon. wink, wink... Maybe that charity puts him on salary, huh?

Next, it will be the passing of higher salaries so he makes more in his retirement pension. There is nobody to stop him, so why not?

Oh, I'm sorry, did you think he cared?

Meanwhile, more bonds are being taken out for utilities, high risk business ventures are crashing, and bonds are due. Each year taxes will continue to skyrocket. Buildings and homes remain vacant.

The question is, "who will buy your $100K home when your annual property tax is $18K?" When the tax passes the monthly payment, you are stuck. You have to file bankruptcy. The town will become more vacant.

On top of that, how do you like all the taxes on food and hotel that you pay? What other items will be taxed to help pay these debilitating bonds?
Is what you pay to the school district worth the education they are getting? Is VVSD the Harvard of IL?

I have never in my life uttered the words "I told you so" until today. You got what you voted for. Celebrate your success!

Local Elections Cause Bolingbrook Report to go dark

It is a sad day when the Bolingbrook Report shuts up. The reason? The same ol' elected officials are running unopposed in the local elections coming up. Despite the fact that they have ran up the highest amount of bonds for a village in all of Illinois, while claiming they are Republican... Despite the fact that one member drives drunk and one is a hot tempered thief, and the rest of them lied to residents repeatedly. Despite the fact all of them have stepped on many residents to get where they are, for little in return other than being seen as morally corrupt.... Need we go on?

Over the past 6 years we have seen the FBI push them to the back burner, despite the crimes they have committed against the residents. The words "Small fish in big pond" was used often. We have seen one candidate run against the Mayor, and be booted off the ballot twice by the Mayor's slate who got to vote if she stayed or went, and whom still immorally booted her off. (Talk about wrong!). We have seen them call this same candidate a "killer", and get sued for it, on your tax dime.

We have seen another gentleman, who spoke at meetings, have his house burned down, and a year later thrown in jail. While the police claim innocent on who told the States Attorney to arrest him, and the police losing evidence?

We have seen people like Devon, passed up for scholarships over Jim Mitchems son. We saw teachers stalking students.

Even worse, we have seen people pocketing money. The DuPage Township Supervisor was giving winning bids to a phone company, of which he worked in sales by day. We saw the same man take conference dollars to a school, not township, conference, get sloshed, and make us look bad. Drew Peterson did not help that either.

We see large bids get passed in the village, while million dollar war chests get filled by those companies. We see losing money every day in properties taxpayers purchased, like the golf course.

We see one man, an attorney, pulling strings of a puppet called the "Mayor" to bank money. Another pulling puppet strings the other way to advance Republican power hold. Manipulating the system against good candidates and lying to the public.

We see the taxes skyrocketing from the poorly run school board, while leaving top heavy admin. in charge. We see public officials donating your tax dollars to their private charities. We see them making excuses to pay bonuses of $66K without a written contract.

We have seen a lot over the years. This election is no different. You get what you voted for. There were others that ran you could have voted for. Honest and respectable individuals that could have helped Bolingbrook. They could have stopped the spending, corruption, and poor morals. They could have stopped the puppet strings.

All we can offer as advice for voting this season, is to stay AWAY from anyone in office currently, or one that has aligned themselves with someone in office. The only exception is Shirley V. She stands alone.

For the school board, we suggest only candidates that are NOT aligned with any of Claar or Quigley's hold.

For the Township, we suggest Shirley and anyone NOT aligned with Bill Mayer. This group not only lies about candidates, but they steal signs, banners, and run dirty campaigns.

For the Village Board, your all screwed. Let's pray the Mayor retires early.

Most of all, keep an eye out for the dirty campaigners. If they cover others signs, yank signs, steal signs, and lie about their opponents, you know how they do business.

Update on Devon Hodges

Devon is doing well, and his family is happy. The courts refused to throw out his case and it is moving forward. We pray for the family for the injustice that was done to this young Bolingbrook High Graduate who was held back for scholarships because he was competing against children whose parents hold power in the community. We reached out to Bonnie, Bob, and Rhonda to get their take on this years election season. Here is what is happening with them...

Bonnie has had a huge boom to her business and has found herself overwhelmed with work this year. Her travels and workload have kept her away from Bolingbrook for many recent weeks. However, she has promised she has not gone away and will make her move when the timing is right!

Bob has been busy with family and his recent adoption of two children from Ethiopia. He promises he has not gone away, but family is his first priority.

Rhonda is working on building her professional career this year and will soon be testing in her field for more credentials. She has not gone away, and still involves herself with responding to articles when she can.

So although this election cycle does not include these three, be aware that they have more in store for Bolingbrook soon. The Mayor should count his blessings that their current successes have taken them out of his hair temporarily. But dont celebrate long, as they are willing to back the right person running against his party (village, school board, Township, or Library!)

Everyone is dying to know what is in store for 2013. First, there is a local election. Yes, again! There is one every two years. This time, the Mayor is up for re-election, and barring any write in candidates submitted, will be running unopposed. Most of the trustees are returning for election, however, Sandra Swinkunas has stepped down. This opens the door for newcomer Dombrowski to make his move. I am sure that this will be a tense election, as we are likely to see all his signs removed, cops called on the current trustees again, and the same old nastiness when someone runs against this team. However, some things will be changing...

First, will the Green Mustang man loose his lucrative job supplied by the Village as the security for VVSD? Remember, he was spotted numerous times stealing signs, and had the police go to his home for missing campaign signs. Then he lands this wonderful job after the elections. But will he risk the position to assist in an election again when he has already been rewarded for his past efforts?

Second, will Morales ensure that nobody in his subdivision put up signs for the new candidate, and if they do, will he steal those? This time we are ready with hidden cameras Ricky! :)

Third, will the Mayor announce his predecessor within the first year? If so, a lot is at stake for whom still sits on the board. This means, none of the current or future board members can or will be allowed to commit any felony acts, in order to keep their seats.

Fourth, will Lawler call the police for soliciting on all campaign w2orkers (other then his own parties) that come down his street? Even though he knows that campaigning is not soliciting?

Fifth, Will the Mayor be extra cautious with driving this year if drinking? The last election this was a bonus for us when a newspaper happened to catch him falling into his vehicle after a cancer children's fundraiser at the Golf Club. I don't think as a fellow reporter, I can ever say I had ever gotten an under cover video such as this in my lifetime. It made the books and youtube blew up! In my opinion, it showed him throughout the night drinking, spilling, changing into new shirts, then driving... Even driving erratically and through red lights. Some say they would drive like that if followed, while others look at the bigger picture and ask, "why was he even driving?".

As we know these are all sore subjects, we are just looking to see where the local residents will go to get a good story in time for election. Even though there are not a lot of people running, residents who want this monopolizing party out will come out in full force. So stories are rolling in and writers are ready. We look forward to a fun campaign season!

Two years ago we reported that Ken Cygan was connected to Roger's party. Some unfortunate Democrats supported him, which was appauling. I mean, who serves on a Democratic party and gets signatures for a Republican to get on the ballot? Well, he lied to his voters by telling them he was independent. We told the public he was not independent. Two years later, Roger Claar publically has supported him, and is assisting him to win a new office.

Bolingbrook Local Election Kickoff for Spring Election

Yes, the Mayoral race is back and ready for a run. Some candidates, either running for Trustee, school, etc, have picked up their packets and begin the process of gathering signatures to get on the local ballots.

Did you know that IL is the final state to use this process? Since the process itself is corrupt, all other states have abandoned this process.

Just last week, the Democratic party candidates were removed from the ballot on a technicality by the Republican Party attorney (Yes, we are speaking of Dick Kavinaugh). They fought to stay back on and won. However, this is not the last time we will hear about this.

So what is new? Some local candidates have bi-passed the local offices when picking up the petitions. They have gone past the local offices and right to Will County. (No more being booted off ballots because Republican Carol Penning gives them the wrong packet, sheets, advice, etc.) Some of these local candidates are also using attorneys who are sick of the current Republican party not allowing people on the ballot. "Leave the choice to the residents on voting", is the new philosophy.

Are the current office holders nervous? You bet! They are looking for information. For example, Roger Claar used his Linked In account a few days ago to search for Bob Bowen's information. Are they gathering info? Are they worried about his experience and # of votes in the last election? Are they trying to get information to twist facts? Whatever the purpose, Claar has a reason to be worried. Election season brings out the worst in the Republican Party candidates and their loyal Hitler like followers. Just two years ago Trustee Morales snapped because people in his neighborhood put up signs for the opposition. Just two years before that, they waged an attack on Bonnie Alicea, just because she wanted to run for office. The outcome? Pure ugliness.... And as always, we will be here to post when the ugliness comes out... This is the fall show of the season!

Kalnickys Senete Run Falls Flat

Bob Kalnicki has decided to run for the State Representitive Seat. He has some hard core financial backers. This month alone, the House Republican Committee donated about $15K to his cause, which adds to his approx. $9k that he had from donars such as Tressler LLC (Bolingbrook Village Attorney that gets over a million and a half a year of our tax dollars while other Village attorneys make $350K).

Bob has shown himself as a leader in the Will County Republican Party. This is the same party we speak of a great deal on our web site by exposing politicians in this org. for alleged corruption in Bolingbrook. He also is the head chair of a Facebook Site posted a little more then a year ago as the local TEA PARTY. That is correct, this man is the HEAD of the local tea party movement. So it is of no suprise that when Cedra Crenshaw, (who ran last time) donated what was left of her money to the campaign funds of Tom Cross, it would wind up back into Kalnicki's hands. In the sum of $14,500 this month as a donation to his campaign.

Is the world ready for a Tea Party Extremist in the IL seat? Is he really a tea party person? He states he is, but when the library last year was going to sell the old furniture, he voted to donate it to a local charity that he sits on the board to. The residents outcried, because we wanted this money to go towards the bills that the tax payers were forking out for the new library. But hey, we all want something free for our organizations, right? It is too bad the tax payers caught this move and exposed this move to be illegal. The funds were placed into the library fund. Alleged corruption again? Horray for the tax payers for stopping it!

Steve Quigley in possible Kick Back Scheme?

This month Steve Quigley accepted a large campaign donation of $1000.00 from Government Consulting Services of IL during a non-campaign year for himself. This company's main work is to be a lobbyist for government entities, such as ours. We already know that he works within the WCGL which hires lobbyists for our community issues. The WCGL gets the money from our Village, from our tax dollars.

Now he takes donations so that he will continue to hire this company to lobby on our behalf? Horrifying! Also, a tid bit many of you don't know, the items they are lobbying for are far right wing republican items, even though Valley View area (Bolingbrook/ Romeoville) are largely Democratic. I am sure many of you will be upset to know that this is how your money is being spent.

Steve "Mongo" McMichael running for Mayor Romeoville

Steve "Mongo" McMichael, from the Chicago Bears and World Champion Wrestling, currently owner of Mongo's in Romeoville, announced bid to run for Mayor of Romeoville. With sports fame and money behind him, we will defiantly follow this race, as well as the race for Mayor in Bolingbrook. It will prove to be an interesting one! Will the Republican team be able to boot him off the ballot?

Follow up on Devon Hodges

The courts have ruled to allow Devon Hodges lawsuit to continue and not be dismissed. The lawsuit has added on a few names, other then previously posted. Amongst about a dozen names, Mr. Mitchem and Steve Quigley have been named in the lawsuit for failure to assist a boy from harassment and bullying, and showing nepotism against him to secure scholarships for Mitchems son.

This is not the first case that will likely be tried in courts, as on one another occasion, an African American boy was taken off the same years academic scholarship list for no good reason by Mitchems assistant, and then Mitchems son received the scholarships. The administration then claimed that boy might have gotten only $300, and offered to pay for that when we exposed the story.

Just to recap for new followers, Devon Hodges suffered immense stalking, humiliation, bullying, and harassment from teachers and school officials because his family moved from Romeoville to Bolingbrook. Since he was a star athlete in Romeoville, the basketball coaches did not want him to leave. At one point, the basketball coach had them make nasty signs and tee shirts to attend a game again Bolingbrook, shirts calling his names in reference to his intelligence, amongst many other allegations.

To add insult to injury, Bolingbrook's team did not want him because that position was already being played by Mr. Mitchem (former principle, now Superintendent) son. The situation was so compounded that they blocked Devon's ability to show college recruiters what he could do and to gain scholarships.

30 Mayors locally call for reform. Bolingbrook is not one of them.

The rush to fix pension reform in high in Illinois. Illinois is broke and pensions are the top problem. It is costing the residents high taxes and future downfalls. What cost pennies years ago cost millions today in pensions. There is no way this problem could have been for seen so many years ago and contributions to the pension funds were too low to support the current needs and demands. If no pension reform is done, there will be higher taxes and higher costs to each resident.

Thirty local Mayors in the Chicago suburbs have joined together to tackle pension reform in IL. Not surprisingly, Bolingbrook is NOT one that wants reform. Could it be because many of these elected officials in Bolingbrook are retiring within the next four years? What will this cost you in the next few years?

With elections coming, this will be a hot topic. We will be interviewing candidates to get perspective on how each of them feels about pension reform.

Tressler Law firm to charge more that a Million ths year!

With the Devon Hodges lawsuit and the church lawsuit in full swing, Tressler Law Firm will be making a killing ff of taxpayers for the bad decisions made by both the Village Trustees, Mayor, and District 365-U school board.

These boards are costing us a fortune in bad decisions! They are the same boards that built a Golf Club in a year where industry screamed that Golf Clubs were on the financial down slides. This is the same board who was sued for illegally kicking Bonnie Alicea off the ballot twice and calling her a "murdered" to try to stop her from running for office (the right of every US Citizen 18 and up!) The same board who ran for office while taking Union Pay to Play campaign funds... Should we go on about what the bad decisions are costing us? Just remember election season will be here soon enough again and bad decisions need to be done with forever.

Devon Hodges Update

Pretty soon we will all be hearing the juicy details of stalking, harassment, and bullying that was administered to a student on school time and after school. This student, whom we thought the school was there to protect during school hours, was subjected to this behavior by adults, coaches, and others. Devon Hodges is suing the school district and will bring to light how the administration of our school district is run. From the school board ignoring his families complaints and allowing it to happen, to the Superintendent claiming he would do something and then did (he ignored it all). All the way down to coaches and players of the team.

We look forward to reporting on this case and wish the Hodges family luck on exposing the TRUTH!

Bolingbrook Library already a Dinosaur

It is estimated that one out of two children will own a laptop by the age of 10, within the next few years. Some states issue each kindergartner a tablet for doing their work and classroom activities. WiFi is becoming increasingly free at many local establishments and more technological advances have been made for computer wi-fi features.
With cellphones able to Google and allow research opportunities, and most people owning at least one cell phone in their household, how important are public libraries? Research shows that libraries, once thriving as the only place for scholarly activity, is now a dinosaur. Many colleges are discontinuing library degrees and many patrons visit less that twice a year.
So while the tax payers of Bolinbrook will spend years paying for that (over) $50K library, will they see it as a place to visit?

We polled over 100 local patrons at a grocery store. Only one has visited the new library. Yet all of them are paying dearly for it. Is there an option? Is there an alternative to use this building as something else? Sure there is! Sell the building to a local college branch or to private industry. Use that money to open a satellite library. Since most people can rent books online now, through their Nook or Kindle, doesn't keeping so many books in stock seem silly? Where were these decisions coming from over the last two years? Who thought about all this when they spent that money?

Annual Budgets vs. Annual Spending

How close does Bolingbrook follow the budgets, when you review the end of the year spending vs. beginning of the year budget process? Bolingbrook fails to follow budgetary concerns in the voting and issues that arise during the year.

When you look at the past few years of annual budgets, you will see it is all "smoke and mirrors". It is suppose to be the best estimate of what the trustees will spend of your tax dollars. Tthroughout the year it becomes apparent that this document does not matter. Furthermore, to better hide the smoke, they continuously change auditors for their financial reports, having done so numerous times in the past ten years. Issues that one auditor would find, would not need to be addressed if you hired a different auditing company the following year. Needless to say, the end of year financials do NOT balance with the start of a year's numbers. Either it is shotty finance management or it is a cover up. Bolingbrook is the only community in the surrounding communities to have this issue. Think about it!

Why STOP at Kindergarden?

Our question goes to the scool board... but first we want to point out the following:
1. Your budgets are the same every year, unless you raise taxes.
2. Your raises mean you have to cut staff every year to pay for increases.
3. When you add a program like all day kindergarten,the money must come from somewhere, so cut more staff.
4. Cut staff to add kindregarten all day and pay for the construction.

So the question is, why not add Pre-K too? Some states pay for Pre-K (preschool) and require attendence. You guy are on a roll, and from what we hear (snicker, snicker) it helps kids get into college.

So to do so, you would need to CUT MORE staff for the construction and staffing. Will we have any more staff left in five years at the rate of your spending? If so, will it all be administration? So the real question is, if you need to cut staff, doesn't that mean less administration is needed? When will that be cut? When will those individuals raises be halted or their pensions looked at?

Stop the spending and stop the cuts, unless it is to the paper pushers. Leave the teachers alone so we can count on them to give our children a good education!

Bolingbrook Rape in Indian Oaks- Public Warning

We have first hand knowledge of a rape victim from last Tuesday. She was raped in the condo's of Indian Oaks. The details of the rape cannot be reported yet, but we know she ran and dialed 911. Many officers were in pursuit of the rapists (2), but we are not sure if they were caught. Why? Because the media did not report the rape.

We have always been honest about the fact that major crimes do not make it into the news for two reasons: The first is that Bolingbrook poilce do not always catch people, the second is because they only report arrests, not questioning, crime itself, or anything else. Therefore, no "Rape" needs to be reported unless someone is arrested. To inform the citizens and the media, if there is an issue, is left to the one man sitting in the Mayor position, Mr. Claar.

Mr. Claar does not wish for people to know these things, as it keeps our ratings down. Just like the people being held up by gun a few years ago, costing the Police Chief at the time, his job. He decided to let the public know after Roger Claar said not to. Shortly thereafter, he left his post.

So beware to those women out there, or those that have wives, daughters, or mothers near Schmidt and Boughton Road. There are multiple rapists out there!

Does your word matter Mr. Gougis?

Mr. Gougis swore and oath to be a public servant. He also swore and oath to honor and love his wife when he got married and then decided to have two children. How much do these oaths matter to this man? Apparently not at all.

Recent information is that Mr. Gougis, the only black male school board member, has been dating a blond home wrecking broad, as seen last year at the Sox game with him. His marriage is ending leaving his two young children, under the age of 7, to live without a daddy day to day.

The sad truth is that the elected officials in Bolingbrook suffer and extreme deficit of moral judgement and character. It has been observed over the last many years that the Mayor himself dabbles in blonds on the side from his marriage. Bill Mayer carried on a lucrative affair with another Bolingbrook employee last year, who then got promoted. And so other male officials have learned that to be sponsored by Rog and get his endorsements, you have to be willing to play in the same games of loose moral in which allegedly engages. Which means affairs, alcohol, and other party times indicative of people lacking judgement to run their own lives--let alone run a village.

Last year Claar backed Gougis, took him to a ball game and some residents video taped their behavior and women. How long do these elected officials carry on immoral behavior? Do their spouses know about the cheating?

The biggest question is who cares? Well, I do. My spouse feels this way too. I think many women would feel that way. Cheating politicians do not get a woman's vote. Cheating politicians do not get the religious vote either, both male and female. Cheating politicians do not get the older vote, especially from those that have put up with their spouses with love for over 20 years. So whose vote are they getting? They are not getting the young vote, as the young don't vote in Bolingbrook often. It makes us wonder how rigged the voting system in Bolingbrook really is.

I am going to end this story with a quote from a local resident. I think it suits just fine.

"Mr. Gougis, you should have thought twice about putting your affair on TV last year at the game. Flaunting an affair that leaves a wife and two young children without a daddy or husband is atrocious. It is the time that a wife needs her husband the most, and the time two young children need their daddy the most. Their world will never be the same because you could not keep your pants up. I mean, did you NOT love your wife enough to marry her and make her give birth to TWO of your children? That was asking a lot to begin with. You're a self serving bastard, not a public servant. No wonder Roger likes and support you".

DuPage Democrats hold Open House

Many typical faces were present at the DuPage Townships open house at Home Run Inn Pizza this week. Time and time again we see the same faces running for office and hope that new blood steps forward. However, the event was nice and cordial. The air of excitement about running another election was thick in the air.

We were suprised to see The Independent Party Board Member Bob Bowen there. He was very interested in meeting the candidates and being an educated voter. We hope to see him next election!

Yard Waste Bolingbrooks new tax to help offset extreme debt

Yes, it i time for Bolingbrook to be creative on how many more areas they can yank money from your pockets. You see, there is a huge debt in Bolingbrook that must be repaid. Debt incurred by a rubber stamp trustee board and a spendaholic mayor who made some bad business decisions on losing ventures.

Well now the Golf Course losses, as well as the airport and Americana Estates will be coming from your pockets.

I know, it is not the first time. First they increased food, liquor, and hotel taxes to offset this. But the debt is still growing and your money is not enough.

Now they are adding a $2.50 tax to every bag you want to throw away from yard waste. That is more than Naperville charges.

But hey, when you vote the spendaholics into office, this is what you get.

The last time they tried to get creative about taxing the residents, they installed red light cameras. That cost us a bundle and had to be stopped. Another poor decision. Let's see where this one leads!

One resident told me today that the next thing they will have to do is car stickers and dog tags again. Silly that they keep going into the same pockets for more and more money. Bolingbrook residents are NOT rich. I repeat, they are NOT rich. Eventually, all these extra taxes will only lead to more foreclosures, higher property taxes, and a complete inability to sell your home. Thanks Roger Claar!

District 203 Schools Caught "Misspending"

As parents and taxpayers flooded the packed 203 School Board meeting last night (part of Bolingbrook is in District 203), the buzz surfaced around the same question ... "why are they re-districting the schools?" The School Board sent out notices about the re-districting and it caused a fury. Residents did not want the Administration to send their kids to different schools including ones miles farther away than they were in now and forcibly separate even siblings into different schools. The turn of events that unfolded was simply appalling! It was discovered that the re-districting was being done to accommodate all day kindergarten, ADK! It was not because of the overcrowding problems... Nor to save on the budget... And it's something the residents did not want!

Residents were allowed to speak (about 90% against) at the end. The meeting went until after midnight. Literally dozens of residents rose up to speak against this profligate boondoggle. It was an impressive turnout.

It was announced that the re-districting was caused by the Administration wanting to add ADK. They decided to add it because many of the teachers of Kindergarten like the idea when asked--it would give the teachers more paid hours and they felt it could help the kids get into college better (REALLY?).

Residents attacked. Where is the proof that ADK helps kids get into college? Where is the research? What will this cost the taxpayers... the questions went on and on.

Jen, one of the speakers for the school administration did state the RESEARCH actually shows that kindergarten ALL DAY has NO LONG TERM benefit.

David Zager, the CFO told parents and taxpayer prior to the Board meeting that ADK construction costs would be about $2.5 Mil. Then a bait and switch happened, and he then increased the construction costs for ADK to be $4.5 Mil when he reported to the 203 School Board.

One resident drew applause at his three points:
1. Since the Administration themselves says there is no benefit to ADK, why spend the money and disrupt and separate our children and families?
2. That initially the 2.5 Mil for ADK construction was provided to parents at 5 different info. sessions prior to the Board Meeting and now it suddenly went up to 4.5 Mil--how can residents trust the administration when they use "Bait and Switch" in their figures.
3. With the upgraded kindergarten program, Administrators announced they would now be able to teach the children how to count from 1-20 and learn the alphabet. The resident exclaimed that if that is NOT what they are learning now, that the curriculum needs to be fixed, not send his 5 year old to school for 2.5 more hours per day.

Furthermore, distress ran through the crowd as those in the crowd saw the financials presented and the bottom line. The district will be out of money in a couple of years, and teachers and activities will be cut or taxes will increase again.

Other school districts, such as District 204, have instituted all day kinderdaycare and as result of this expense are now broke and slashing programs and firing teachers. So 203 Administrators are determined to follow 204's failures. Are their any adults in the the Administration who understand budgets and can balance one? An astute 203 Board member stated last night "I'd like a pony too but does that mean I should get one?" 203 Administrators are you listening or are you forever stuck in the 'burn cash now and crash school programs and fire teachers later mode?!'

So we still do not need to spend the ADK $4.5 Mil in capital expenditures plus $2+ Mil a year ongoing in increased salaries and maintenance. The Administration has not proven to us that this is needed. Residents are voters, and they now see how idiotic some of these Administrators (and a couple of the Board members) are. They need to take a class to understand balancing budgets and needs.

The tax payers are not here to pay for wants of Kindergarten teachers. If they want it this bad, let those that are requesting it take a pay cut of $4.5 Mil immediately and then $2+ Mil a year ongoing to make it happen. Try going a step further, fund raise for it. If there are enough residents in support of it, they should have no problem fundraising the money to do it. Somehow, judging from the large turnout, it might be a difficult task to find support or to convince the residents of the need for all day daycare for 203.
