I personally don’t own this camera but my father-in-law just bought one and he absolutely loves it and says that he can’t put it down and that he feel like his own personal paparazzi!!! Garmin Edge 705 GPS-Enabled Cycling Computer

The Garmin Edge 705 GPS is a must have for the techie that loves to cycle. I happen to be a pretty avid amateur cyclist and this device makes tracking a ride a breeze. I really like the cadence and speed sensor on this device, they are completely wireless and work really really well. The heartrate monitor is a must-have in my opinion as well. Here’s what Hofner Guy said on Amazon:

There is so much out there on the Garmin Edge 705, that I am not going to write a huge detailed review. I just wanted to add my opinion that I love this thing! It works great, it was easy to install, and its easy to set up and use. I purchased the version with heart rate, cadence, and micro SD card based street maps. The maps were easy to install on the unit also — just insert the SD card and the unit finds the maps!

Its well made — it should be for what it cost. I just wanted it to to work well,be easy to use, and give me the data it advertised. Its all that and I must say that my expectations were exceeded (and I had some pretty high expectations). Are you getting the point that easy is a theme here? [...] The training center software is good too but I like the website better. The training center doesn’t seem to overlay maps in any detail, where the website works with Google Earth. [...]

I couldn’t have said it better myself, I really do love this gadget.

Nikon 70-300 f/4-5.6G Lens

Here is a handy little lens I picked up about 3 months ago. I was looking for an inexpensive telephoto zoom that I could add to my bag-o-tricks for taking some portraits and some wildlife shots. I am more than impressed with this lens, it’s lightweight and durable and is exactly what I needed for those killer telephoto shots.

This lens in no way is meant to be a professional lens, it doesn’t have the huge aperture of a professional lens and it doesn’t have the optics, however it also doesn’t carry the $1000+ price tag of a professional lens either. This lens is meant for amateurs and enthusiasts seeking to add a solid quality affordable lens to their kit, and this lens does that extremely well. The price comes in at just over a hundred dollars and you will be very pleased you went with this option over the pricier professional versions.

Segate FreeAgent Desk 1TB Drive

I’ve been using this device for just over a year now. Overall it’s a solid device and has performed exactly to my needs. I use it primarily for backing up data for users when I need to reload the OS on their machine, but also for just general purpose storage when I need to take a huge amount of data with me. This is a great device, it is actually an enclosure with two 3.5″ 7200RPM 500 GB drives inside it so there is a bit of performance increase there, but I do not know if they are configured as JBOD or if the 2 drives are actually RAID-ed together. Either way this device performs and performs well.

The Drive is priced well, I think it currently is listed on Amazon for just under $100 and if looking for it on Ebay, I’m sure you’ll find a deal.
