Election Victory Cheer!
Eliana was sick after Winter Break, but we had a good time in California during the vacation. Highlights: visiting Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Lauren and Uncle Glenn and going to the Californai Academy of Sciences.
A dicussion of the relative merits of Twilight and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Eliana makes some very cool observations. Props to Joss Whedon!
Talking about eighth-grade social stuff. Eliana will be the Assistant Director for the the Spring musical, and she's diggin' the power.
Eliana gets a pair of socks from Mom, and she plugs LittleMissMatched, a favorite place for getting them.
Talking a little about where to go to high school.
(Recorded on January 11, despite what we said on the recording. It's always challenging keeping track of what day it is.)

We're back, after quite a long absence. Much too much to talk about, but we pare it down to the highlights.
We quickly mention our summer vacation to the Great Sand Dunes National Monument.
Eliana's Bat Mitzvah weekend was awesome!
We spend the remainder of our time talking about Eliana's fantastic adventure on the Guided Adventures tall ship, the SSV Tole Mour.
Eliana finishes up by singing a few of the sea chantys she learned.

In a "very special" episode of BoulderFaD, we are joined by Mom and Daniel for a taste-testing of the Chanukah soda pack from Jones Soda. They also have novelty soda packs for Christmas and Thanksgiving, but we didn't try those (our bravery only extends so far).

Our conclusion: A nice novelty gift idea, but perhaps not the sort of thing one would drink on a regular basis.

This is our first attempt at podcasting, so please bear with us. This episode is really something of an experiment--we didn't really have a good name for it before we started. Thus calling it episode Zero.

We discuss a little bit about where we live, Eliana's school, book reviews of books she has recently read, and a bit about "dating" in middle school. All in all a nice chat between father and child.

Special thanks to Eric of There are Jews in Alabama? for technical assistance.
