Although the concept of microbreweries came into existence to distinguish breweries producing up to a certain capacity of barrels per time period, the term has evolved over the decades to include specimens of beer which have a local or regional demand. Since the reason for their survival is recognition of the individuality beer enthusiasts seek, such breweries compete amongst themselves due to their quality and uniqueness of flavor rather than indulging in price competition. To an ordinary person a mug of beer may only be about the type of malted grain, but a fan knows the process is much more articulate. However, only someone with acuity realizes the importance of temperature regulation during different stages of brewing and how significant it is to use apt microbrewery beer equipment when one contemplates to brew beer.

Whether you are looking for Belgian Wheat Beer or a Bohemian Lager, the fastest way to get it is to search online especially if you’re looking for beer types which are regionally produced. Similarly, the best way to create demand for your custom made beer is to advertise it online. Although Heineken has gathered avid supporters through its UEFA Champions League affiliation, there are several other brands of beer which are fervently ordered through the internet namely Victoria Bitter (Australian), Krombacher (German) and of course Corona (Mexican).

The expanse of the world wide web will give you easy access to thousands of different kinds of beer ranging from the Argentine Quilmes made from unadulterated Pantagonian water to Carlton Crown with its rich malty and fruity taste, or virtually handmade Anchor Steam to Brooklyn Pumpkin Ale prepared by brewing pumpkin and spices. Nonetheless, for someone who cherishes the finer things in life the ‘right’ kind of beer may not just be a click away.

Microbrewing beer is a gradually becoming a hobby for beer enthusiasts who believe in personalizing their cup of beer and experimenting with the ingredients. If the result is brilliant, why not share it with the rest of the global beer-indulgent clan? However, how to brew beer for commercial success is another question. For that I would recommend you to look at local and national laws concerning microbrewery as well as to check www.brewbasement.com for comprehensive information about microbrewery equipment.

It is a stated fact that beer is as old as the society it self as it has been mentioned in ancient texts, that are more then 5,000 years old. So this wonderful liquid has been around for quite a while. However one thing that is more surprising then the creation of beer is that scientists in the 1950s debated over the idea that beer, not bread was the start of the development of agriculture. Beer has become a commodity is consumed and appreciated throughout the world and each country has its own beer varieties.

According to history brewing beer was done at homes as a part of meal preparations and as society became more and more advanced so did the production of beer which eventually became a business in most of the countries. Throughout the world the production of beer grew with the passage of time from previously being produced in pots and jars to the current microbrewery equipment used for large scale production. It hasn’t been easy to obtain proper evidence regarding the production of beer in the ancient times as old microbreweries only used basic microbrewery equipment, such as a fire, some jars and cooking vessels. These materials are not exactly unique to the brewing process as such, as jars and pots that were used on a daily basis could be used for the production of beer.

One of the oldest microbreweries was found in southern Egypt and it dates back to over 5,000 years ago. Archeologists, at this site, found lot of material that indicated that brewing was done there. In the middle of Egypt along the Nile another ancient brewery was discovered. Some of the rooms were used for cereal processing this indicated that those rooms were used either used as a brewery or a bakery. It was discovered recently that the Romans also knew how to brew beer and had their own breweries. However most of these are just facts. To determine whether a particular site is used for brewing one would need to search chemical evidence; however that is next to impossible.

So in short brewing beer is not exactly that easy; the things excavated at those places could easily be used to produce bread. Hence the residues obtained could have come from baking. There will always be some sort of evidence that will prove the existence of ancient beer however it will always lack physical evidence. So until and unless proper evidence has been found out, no one can say for certain whether those were bakeries or breweries.

Microbrew is actually a beer that is produced in small breweries called microbreweries. Consumption of beer is considered a favorite leisure time by most people. Beer is brewed in every continent and enjoyed in every nation throughout the world. Companies brew beer in commercial microbreweries using microbrewery equipment.

However as certain people are diet conscious they want to cut calories that they usually consume from junk food, snacks and alcohol. It is a fact that beer and wine in particular do contain plenty of empty calories. So when people continue to have beer as such they end up gaining more weight instead of loosing it. In order to help diet conscious people lose weight without completely refraining from alcohol many beer companies and microbreweries have decided to create low calorie beers. They are finding ways to brew beer containing low calories, using particular ingredients and microbrewery equipment. These are often referred to as “light” and “non-alcoholic” beers and they all have the same taste as a regular beer without all of the calories.

People that are diet conscious are always looking for beers that contain fewer calories. For them it’s the next best thing to having actual beer. However there aren’t that many low carb microbrews around. Also it was noticed that microbrews with less calories does have some kind of taste to it and it has a dark color. Low calorie beers are created to have the same tasted as that of the actual beer only without the calories. These beers have a low calorie count which is 13 calories per serving and it is less then many diet products.

Even though non-alcoholic beers are the lowest calorie beer substitutes most beer drinkers prefer to stick to light beers. Many beer drinkers enjoy the beverage because of the mildly intoxicating affects rather than the flavor. Beer drinkers usually focus on light beer to enjoy a buzz without consuming too much calories. These vary in calories from brand to brand however some of them do contain as many calories as certain wines and beers do. So for this reason people should know that which low calorie beers available are truly low in calories. For further detail refer to the website: http://www.brewbasement.com

Micro brewing with fruits

The art of brewing progressed because of vast experimentation and flexibility in its procedure. The taste of your beer could be enhanced by adding fruits as well. You can add the tart flavor of raspberry to the beer. Peach will make the brew sweeter. Before adding the fruit to the beer you must make sure that it’s fresh. Stale fruits have bacteria on them therefore it might spoil your beer. If you want to avoid the contamination then never add the stale fruit. Fruits get boiled in the wort and release their flavor. You can always add fruit puree into the wart to make the flavor according to your liking. One can experiment with beer and that’s why people like to brew beer.

The process of putting fruits into the wort is quite simple. You can just cut or break the fruit, put it in a light bag and let it be inside the wort for about 10 minutes after you are done with boiling process. Before adding the wort to the fermenting drum, you can always squeeze out all the essence from fruit. The fruits also contain sugar so be careful while adding them and check the gravity of the wort by hydrometer. Before you start fermentation just add the essence of the fruit and discard other things. The seeds of fruits should be filtered before starting the process of fermentation. The question of how to brew beer is important and doing it the right way is more important therefore one should take all precautions while experimenting.

Adding fruits to beer is great idea because it adds a natural and refreshing flavor to the drink. These beers are more famous than the simple ones. It adds uniqueness to the drink. The scheme of adding fruits to the brew is mostly used by the home brewers. It also costs less and gets prepared according to the want of the consumer. Micro brewing beer is all about experimentation and therefore adding fruits to the brew could be quite wonderful.

The process of brewing beer at home is quite simple. All you need is proper instruction and microbrewery equipment. If you want to gather some information regarding the equipment then visit http://www.brewbasement.com. Cheers!

Beer is the most famous alcoholic beverage in world. I’ll list ten countries where it’s consumed more than anywhere on globe. The annual per capita consumption of beer in Ireland is about 131.1 liter. I can say that with assurance that Irish people have full faith in their drinks. It not just a habit, it’s a living style. On the saints Paddy’s day, Irish people drink their heart out. Finland stands second on the list where annually 9.9 liters per capita is consumed. Finland has very harsh winter season. The temperature could go below -30 Celsius and after bearing 24 hours of darkness you’d like to drink just to survive. The consumption of beer is very normal over there. Cardio vascular diseases are also increasing because of excess in drinking. Vodka and Guinness are famous drinks in Finland. England stands third on the list of countries where people consume a lot of beer. 99.9 liter beer is consumed in England per person. Pubs and bars are open 24/7 and for that reason causalities have been increasing for last 10 years. English people have special love for lager and beer. Next country on the list is Russia where a person almost drinks around 9.29 liter annually. In Russia they like to mix Vodka and Beer because they have a saying that “Vodka without beer means money wastage”. So if you visit Russia, instead of buying martinis and wine choose the beer and vodka cocktail.

Australia stands on 5th in this list where beer consumption is around 109.9 liter per capita. In the past beer as item for barter trade in Australia and that’s why people there don’t like to drink alone. There are a lot of bars and pubs where Aussies can find a drinking partner. Danish people are next on the list where per capita consumption of beer is around 89.9 liter. Around 94% of young children drink. The drinks are also cheap and that’s why people like to drink a lot in Denmark. They have preserved the heritage of drinking in ‘Vinstues’, ‘kafferbars’ and French style cafés where drinking goes on nonstop. Germany stands on 7th position where per person drinking is around 116.8 liter. Beer is very cheap in Germany and available almost everywhere. Oktoberfest is the beer festival which lasts 16 days. People drink openly with sausages and barbeque. Czech Republic stands on the 8th position where annually people consume around 156.9 liter of beer. Brewing beer is an old tradition in Czech Republic. You can drink in their brewpubs where high-quality beer is available. Also don’t forget to visit U Fleku beer hall which was constructed in 15th century.

Italy is next on this list. Italian people consume 8 liter beer annually. Italian is famous for both the production and drinking of beer. It a common drink with food. According to the Commerce Department of US, America gets the most part of its beer supply from Italy. France stands on the 10th number where people consume 35.5 liters annually. French people have excellent skill in brewing beer.

Micro brewing is becoming one of the most sought-after investments in the world. Originally started in the UK, this is a one big success story and has widely appealed to the people. The production cost may be higher than large scale production but owning a microbrewery gives one quite enough room to experiment with new flavors. It creates a small fan base that is hooked to the exotic and unique flavors offered.

In fact, the home-edition of a microbrewery can be as low as $40 but that is the simplest of all. Nan breweries are those that produce less than 4 US barrels a year. Licensed by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, they are en route to become a microbrewery or a brewpub. Many of the successful microbreweries today started from such a minuscule level and have now progressed to a full business.

Breweries with a production of less than 15,000 barrels annually are classified as a microbrewery by the American Brewers Association. Cost for setting up microbrewery beer equipment for a moderate clientele can be fairly high and it is very important to conduct market research prior to that.

One option is to brew beer without operating a simultaneous restaurant or bar. The microbrewery beer equipment required falls around a few ten thousand dollars. These microbreweries sell their beer in the area or ship it outside the city. However, for such microbreweries, extra effort has to be undertaken in producing the best product to ensure a tough competition with the already well-established brands.

Another type of a microbrewery is the one which is attached to a pub. Brewpubs, as they are called, work best inside the cities. These tend to market and sell their beer within the bar, but may expand the business provided that the conditions are found to be favorable. There is a lot of potential for such a venture. Introducing new flavors of beers and ales, or organizing events such as a gig night, a comedy night or a beer festival are guaranteed crowd- pullers and a thus, a great boom to business.

The art of brewing beer has its technicalities and mechanics. According to figures there are around 500 breweries in US. Modern and latest brands have also grabbed the attention of consumer but art of producing beer still intrigues people. Many people produce beers at their home. It a fun activity which gives them pleasure during work and flavorsome reward upon completion. I’ll state the process of brewing beer following.

Essential Equipment:

The starting apparatus kit could be acquired easily through online shopping. Some of the equipment could be used again. Apart from this kit, you’ll need a brew kettle, cleaner, empty bottles of beer and some bottle caps. You can use a big turkey fryer of 30 quart with propane gas burner. It’s best that you use the propane burner outside because it releases harmful fumes. If you like to do the process on your stove then acquire a 20 quart fryer. Acquiring bottles could be done in couple of ways. You could buy the clean ones or get the used ones from some party and clean them on your own. Avoid using crown caps. Use only properly cleaned brown bottle. You could get the essential microbrewery equipment from various places but use the best quality ingredients. To get more information regarding microbrewery beer equipment you can visit http://www.brewbasement.com

Ingredients:

Extracts of Malt, yeast, hops and ale kit for fermentation on room temperature are the typical ingredients to produce beer. You can easily get them from store. I’ll explain the exact recipe so that confusion doesn’t cloud your mind while brewing. 1 lb of mildly dry extract of malt, 6.6 lbs of pale liquid extract of malt, 1 oz pallets of hops (centennial) which should be boiled for an hour, 1 oz hope pallets (cascade) which should be boiled for roughly 5 minutes and 1056 American yeast ale produced by Wyeast (option) or dry yeast that comes with kit. You could use another brand according your liking. You’ll be able to make 5 gallons of beer with this kit.

Cleaning ‘everything’:

Cleanse everything because it’s a very important step in brewing. Sanitizers with different labels are available in market.

Soak the grains:

Grains come with the kit. Put them in hot water to extract flavors. You have to leave them boiling for like 30 minutes at 150 F. For every pound use 1.25 quarts of water. After removing the grains you should boil the grain tea.

Boil and extract hops:

When you see the water boiling, add the malt extract Yeast will eat the sugars to produce alcohol. Now it’s time to turn off the heat and make sure that you stir into the obtained extract. Hops will also come with the kit but don’t add them in the start of boiling because it will make the flavor quite bitter. Just add them later because then it will develop the fine taste. Hops should be added twice during the boil. First add them when it’s an hour left in the boil. Second time add the hops just before the end of boiling process.

Cool down the Wort and aerate:

You need to cool the wort at room temperature before adding yeast. Now take out the byproducts, which could be the solid pieces of hops. You have to filter by placing the strainer on the bucket and pouring from the kettle. Add enough water into the bucket (fermentation bucket) which is enough to yield around five gallons of beer. By transferring the wort back and forth into the bucket (fermentation bucket) and the kettle you will make a lot of foam. Take the initial gravity. It will be used along with the final gravity to find the amount of alcohol present in the beer.

Adding yeast:

Yeast eats the sugars and produces alcohol. It should be added into the wort. You should hydrate the dry yeast and add it to the wort. Remember always take care of the sanitation during the process.

Fermentation process:

This is the time when you bottle the future beer. Before doing so, simply add sugar for the yeast. 1 ounce per gallon so here it will be 5 ounce sugar will be sufficient for 5 gallons of beer to make enough carbon dioxide. It’s preferable to use plastic bottles. Fermentation will take almost three weeks.

You have produced your own beer. Cheers!

In this fast money making world, one will always think how to get hands on loads of dollars with business obsessed with beer. So you do have the idea of starting your own microbrewery business that provides craft beer to a lot of people. To start about it, you have to join an industry that has been making profits since ages through craft beer sales in US hitting a target of $ 6 billion in 2008 although recession persisted.

You can start by aiming at either starting your own microbrewery business that makes great quality beer or by using the facilities of an existing brewery to save cash while your beer is brewed or you can go on inaugurating a brew pub that sells your amazing beer. Your micro brewery can also head in making organic beers. After drafting a business plan and the sort of business you require, finances and small capital costs have to be laid down. Information about vital business matters is needed including insurance, incorporation and licensing. Moreover the issues of brew house’s space, location for brewery and microbrewery equipment running costs have to be solved. This also involves the important systems that are required to set up a brewery i.e. bottling and kegging.

When once the brewery system has begun, then it requires all your attention to run efficiently. You need to know how to develop the systems for running the microbrewery for example the check of the microbrewery beer equipment performance. The decision then has to be made if you would brew your own beer or need to hire a contract brewer to make it for you. Moreover the ingredients are to sorted out that has to be the best one. Furthermore the labeling has to take place that puts information of all trademarks on the bottles. Your business needs to maximize profits so pricing strategies has to be decided are both cost effective and consumer friendly. Attracting more consumers can be done by organizing special events like grand openings, brewery tours and beer tastings. Inventory for beer that is; managing stocks have to be done according to few accounting methods. Also the more people know, the more is consumed so clever marketing policies have to adopted to promote your business. A distributor that sells your beer to retail stores, cafes and bars needs to be appointed and trusted. Moreover a website would further ease your promotion liability as for example http://www.brewbasement.com . Last but not the least is that you need to be aware of all the rules that are laid down before selling your beer. Make also sure that you have one of the best of brewery labors.

Brewing beer at home has become extremely popular nowadays because the procedure is easy to do at home. The ingredients for beer are easily available too and people experiment with additional ingredients as well to come up with different tastes of beer. A lot of people brew beer as a hobby but some do it as a small scale business as well. Whatever your purpose for brewing beer at home, this article will give you the basics about the ingredients required and the different styles of beers.

People who take up beer brewery as a small scale business in industrial buildings or warehouses make up beer microbreweries. The first thing you should know about microbrewery is the microbrewery beer equipment you will need. Microbrewery equipment includes beer tapping tanks that you most often see in restaurants. Then there is the main microbrewery equipment, the microbrewery plant which can have different capacities depending on the frequency of brewing. You can find more information on the capacity of microbrewery beer equipment on http://www.brewbasement.com. Normally, microbrewery plants have capacities of turning out one brew, two brews or up to six brews a day for a regular microbrewery. Once you decide how much beer you want to produce, you can get the microbrewery beer equipment accordingly. Another type of equipment that comes in quite handy is the bottle filling machines which can be automatic, semi-automatic or manual. You can find out more about the storage of brewed beer at http://www.brewbasement.com as well.

The basic ingredients for brewing beer are commonly known to be water which makes up about 90% of it and yeast, malt and hops. Barley or other such grain is first malted before brewing beer; malting is a conversion process and may take several days to complete. Beer can be brewed in different ways to produce different styles of it and the more experienced beer drinkers can easily differentiate between them. Mainly beer can be classified as lagers, ales and specialty beers and the main difference between them is the yeast content and fermentation. Ales have more alcohol content and are brewed in warmer temperatures for the yeast to ferment. Lagers are lighter drinks and typically need cooler temperatures for the yeast to settle down.

Munich in Germany holds a very happening festival called the October fest that begins in September and lasts till the first week of October. October fest was first ever held on October 12, 1810. Not only Germany celebrates Octoberfest but now all over the world German immigrants have spread the idea to places like Argentina, Brazil, Canada, United States, Mexico, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Australia, Vietnam and even Palestinian territories.

This festival is organized in a meadow of Therese that is situated near Munich’s centre. The special thing about the servings of this festival is that in beverages menu, only that beer which is brewed by the Munich’s microbrewery equipment produced only within the Munich boundaries is served. So Munich Brewers are officially registered of the Club that makes great earnings during the fest. The German beer brewed by the specific microbrewery beer equipment is enjoyed by the visitors where they also have a chance to taste foods like grilled ham hock, roasted pork, chicken, cheese noodles and white sausage etc.

By 1960, Octoberfest gained importance as a world festival. In there, the traditional visitors wear the cultural hats related to the Bavarian styles. It is assumed that more the goat hair in the hat, the richer one is. Along with the hats, the whole show was decorated with horse races, carnival booths, and parades, games of skittles, dance floors and beautiful trees. More space was dedicated to the guests and musicians. With so much of color and happiness, problem of drunkenness arose because the beer served in Octoberfest contains higher sugar content than the usual with maximum of 6.8 percent alcohol compared to the normal 5.2 percent content of alcohol in German beer. So to solve this issue, doctors and medical aid is usually on the festival’s grounds to provide urgent help.

With this all, 2010 marked the 200th anniversary of Octoberfest that has provided so much of celebration all around. For the anniversary, a review had been shown using the concept of horse races and historical costume to provide a glimpse of how the festival felt some 100 years ago. Because the festival consumes so much of food, beverages with brewed beer, electricity, gas, phone booths, festival halls, tents and other utilities that it is ought to create huge waste and lost property too. Octoberfest is said to create 1000 tons of garbage every year where cleaning is paid by the city of Munich itself along with sponsors helping out.

Moreover, deriving inspiration from the brewed beer offered at Octoberfest, a website is designed where information regarding cost effective home brewing equipment is provided. Follow at http://www.brewbasement.com
