To all of our previous and future clients, WE'VE MOVED!

While our roots and so many of the spectacular events we've planned have been in the New Jersey / New York area, our new home base is beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina.

We are still getting settled, meeting new vendors and visiting event locations, but excited about this new adventure and how we'll be able to best serve Queen City brides! But rest assured, we still love to travel and will be working events in the northeast often, in addition to planning weddings in as many other fabulous locations as possible.

Lorraine & Alim: Glamour & Grace

At the close of summer, another of our lovely couples, Lorraine and Alim, tied the knot at The Fox Hollow in Woodbury, New York. I first met the bride during an appearance of mine on The Wendy Williams Show seven years ago. She was a producer on that show at the time, but is now Vice President of Programming for True Entertainment and Executive Producer of Bravo's hit "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." When she became engaged and called me to help plan her wedding, I was beyond thrilled ... and the rest in history.

Lorraine and Alim are both proud New Yorkers, so much of their wedding's design stemmed from that. We designed and executed an extravagantly beautiful affair where hues of purple and grey took center stage. The venue's lush, outdoor garden was chosen for the ceremony, which featured a wooden pergola draped in flowing fabric and fresh flowers. A live jazz duo provided romantic accompaniment, as the bride walked down the aisle to Chrisette Michele's Golden. Upon entering the ballroom, more romantic details were revealed such as towering centerpieces, specialty lighting, a multi-tiered wedding cake plus an elaborately displayed Jamaican Black Cake. Overall, it was a wedding flanked by love and the joy of family and friends. Beautiful.

We wish Lorraine and Alim a lifetime of love and happiness and it's our pleasure to share some of the best moments of their wedding day below, thanks to Boschelli Photography.

Nicole & Arnaldo: NYC Sweet

Our NYC Sweet couple, Nicole and Arnaldo, were married last month at the Chart House Restaurant in Weehawken. I first met with this bride and groom over 2 years ago in my old studio, and we partnered closely selecting all aspects of their event from A-to-Z.

Since many of the pivotal moments of their relationship took place in or near New York City (1st date and engagement ... just to name a couple), it became the obvious choice for a theme (hence my little nickname of NYC Sweet). And on what was officially the last day of Spring, we successfully achieved the intimate and romantic experience our beautiful bride and groom set out to create.

Hues of pink and purple took center stage at this affair, via specialty lighting and linens, towering lush florals, a designer aisle runner, the delectable 3-tiered cake, lounge furniture and all other pieces of stationary. Just 25 of the couple's closest family and friends were invited, but the love exuding from the space truly rivaled events I've designed for 300+ guests for sure! It was exquisite.

I was thrilled to have worked with Nicole and Arnaldo in creating a unforgettable celebration as they begin their new life together. They are wonderful as individuals and incredible as husband and wife. I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness and am happy to share some of the best moments of their wedding day below, thanks to Robert Roscigno Photography.

A Walk In The Park

It’s been a while since we've shared one of our couple’s engagement photos, but once these were revealed I knew I wouldn't be able to resist. The bride, Executive Producer of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and the groom, a successful real estate investor, are both proud "New Yorkers" so they held the photo shoot in none other than Central Park with Boschelli Photography. They chose a gorgeous Spring day and literally took a walk through the park!

We've been working with this beautiful couple for several months … planning, preparing and anxiously anticipating their September nuptials, taking place in Long Island. So far it’s poignantly clear this event will be absolutely fabulous! I’m truly excited for them both, so stay tuned.

Tonisha & CeAndre: Beginning of a Beautiful Forever

Our A Beautiful Forever couple were married a couple of weeks ago just outside Philadelphia at Aloft Mt. Laurel, one of Southern New Jersey's sassiest venues. When we first met with the bride and her mom the only detail decided upon was the date, so we worked together for over a year concepting and planning an experience their loved ones would never forget. Every aspect, every vendor, every detail was researched and selected with care. Thus, when we shared Tonisha and CeAndre's engagement photos in January all were extremely anxious for the anticipated wedding day to come to fruition. Well ... mission accomplished!

Again, on what was officially the last day of Summer, our team successfully achieved the modern and romantic ambiance the bride and groom set out to create. Hues of Malibu blue, grey and white took center stage. Our team designed and executed decor for the entire event, which included florals! The ceremony space was draped in flowing white fabric and featured a gorgeous specialty aisle runner, 6-ft crystal towers with billowing plumes atop, a live jazz trio plus a spiritual dance performance. After the exchange of vows and as cocktail hour came to a close, guests perused a larger-than-life illuminated seating chart which featured the bride and groom's engagement photo. Upon entering the ballroom, more romantic details were revealed such as 2 styles of towering centerpieces, an 18-person head table, specialty linens, specialty lighting and a 3-tiered, damask patterned wedding cake. Finally at dusk, the bride and groom invited their guests to join them in releasing wish lanterns in memory of cherished loved ones who had previously passed away. Overall, it was a love-filled beginning to a beautiful forever.

We wish Tonisha and CeAndre a lifetime of love and happiness and it's our pleasure to share some of the best moments of their wedding day below, thanks to Rashad Pleasant Photography.

Lisa & Dave: Bright Artistry

Our Bright Artistry couple was married over the weekend at The Unitarian Church in Summit. When I first met with the bride and groom, venues were the only details firmly decided upon. So, we worked together for 9 months on the design, planning and execution. You may recall us sharing Lisa & Dave's engagement photos back in March and now we're proud to recap their wedding and reception, which took place at The Short Hills Hilton.

On what was officially the last day of Summer, our team successfully achieved the elegant and warm-hearted atmosphere the bride and groom set out to create. Hues of aquamarine and pink took center stage via the bridesmaid dresses, specialty linens, stationary and wedding cake. The ballroom was illuminated by "candlelight," both literally and figuratively. Square dinner tables were placed throughout in order to add variety, which featured 2 centerpiece designs flanked by 18-inch tall white tapers and gold-sprayed votives. For the cake, we decided on a "watercolor" treatment along with mini-bunting and pink roses atop. Finally, a 7-piece live band, DJ, vintage photo-booth and gourmet macaron favors rounded out the celebration and ensured most seats went empty during the final few hours of the event.

We were thrilled to have worked with Lisa, Dave and their families in creating a lovely celebration as they began their new life together. We wish Lisa and Dave a lifetime of love and happiness and are happy to share some of the best moments of their wedding day below, thanks to 3Photographers.

Part 4 of my series on how to translate your personal style into your wedding design and look is here! We've already explored the Glam Tomboy, Business Beauty and Bradshaw Belle. Today we continue with the DIAMOND DIVA:

The Diamond Diva is high-maintenance. Some would consider her flashy and flamboyant, but it's mostly due to her ability to command a great deal of attention. She seeks out only the very best and tends to follow celebrity trends. Still, she likes to be exclusive and one-of-a-kind stays top of mind. WOW factor is her middle name. She makes no apologies for innate expensive taste.

If you're a Diamond Diva, consider these inspirations for your wedding:

Sometimes, it's all about location ... therefore, Destination Paris! After all, what's better than the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop? Secure a venue that holds lots of history and refrain from modifying it too much. A museum cafe or castle-like hotel would be perfect. Be sure to take advantage of texture and pattern, particularly when choosing the perfect gown. Every detail should be dressed-up - place lucite menu cards on your dinner tables, affix bow-ties to the shot glasses on the bar, cover chairs with satin, rhinestones and feathers. Personalized bottle labels aren't quite your style, so go over the top with bling H2O. And put lots of thought (and sparkle) into your entrance and exit, as both need to be GRAND. Consider an alternative to the traditional cake table as well, like a hanging bed of flowers. Finally, dress your flower girl and bridesmaids in couture, to complement your ensemble perfectly. Translating Personal Style into Bridal Style - Part III

In parts 1 and 2 of my series on how to translate your personal style into your wedding design and look, we focused on the Glam Tomboy and the Business Beauty. Today, part 3 continues with the BRADSHAW BELLE (affectionately named after the Sex & The City character "Carrie Bradshaw"):

The Bradshaw Belle is stylish, creative, spontaneous and emotional. Her closet's full of pieces that epitomize her personality. She loves color, bold patterns and layering, which in most cases leads her to pairing unique combinations together. There are times when she'd rather be simple, but there always has to be a twist. She's a risk-taker above all else.

If you're a Bradshaw Belle, consider these inspirations for your wedding:

Infuse a Bohemian-chic vibe into your attire, it's trendy yet nostalgic at the same time. Knowing you'd never consider skimping on shoes, be sure to go with the snazziest pair of Christian Louboutins you can find. Also, give your nails added attention with applique-like embellishments that complement your dress. Go the non-traditional, vintage route with table numbers and escort cards ... if you're a writer, use books ... if you love antiques, collect and share old-world keys. Instead of 100% floral, do 50% feather. Make the black and white anemone front and center; she's a pistol just like you. Bring your hometown into the mix (in Carrie's case, this would be NYC), but take care in not being too literal - something like a mini replica of the 6th Ave "LOVE" sculpture as a wedding cake topper is perfect. And last but not least, channel Chanel! Incorporate navy, beige and gray (Chanel staple colors) and don't forget wool or quilted napkins along with pearls. Congratulations, Bradshaw Belle! ♥

Translating Personal Style into Bridal Style - Part II

Last week, we discussed the world of the energetic, boisterous, spitfire Glam Tomboy. Today, part 2 of my series on how to translate your personal style into your wedding design and look continues with the BUSINESS BEAUTY:

The Business Beauty is refined, cultured, loyal to a specific aesthetic and exudes swank. Designer handbags, understated yet exquisite jewelry and blazers are staples in her wardrobe. Yet, she also enjoys inserting menswear influences here and there. It's never a problem for her to take an in-the-office look and turn it into high fashion. For her it's always quality over quantity, but she still loves to make a statement.

If you're a Business Beauty, consider these inspirations for your wedding:

Tradition is preferred in this case, but a little twist here and there is still acceptable. Push stark white aside and lead with creamy ivory or perhaps even beige, over black. Infuse elegant tradition via gold accessories, mirrors and gardenias. Focus on clean lines and simplicity. Feature a bold-colored fondant wedding cake along with vintage sweets for your guests to enjoy on the ride home. Work with your photographer to show off your jet-setter status and don't forget to incorporate devices ... after all, they play a major role in how you take care of business. Finally, instead of votives, do tapers. Instead of crystal, do milk glass. Instead of a DJ, do live musicians. Remember ... your wedding should be a reflection of who you are as opposed to what trends, critics and magazines specifically call for. Congratulations, Business Beauty! ♥

I've always believed your wedding should be a reflection of who you are as opposed to what trends, critics and magazines specifically call for. In the grand scheme of things, there really are no wrong answers for brides-to-be. Whatever you like is perfect! So, I've been working on this four-part series on how to translate your personal style into your wedding design and look.

The series will feature ladies who are not “real” brides, but have inspired me via a bold sense of style and each week I'll share my thoughts on the direction this type of woman should take in planning her wedding. Sounds like fun, right?

Without further adieu, let's get started with the GLAM TOMBOY:

The Glam Tomboy is energetic, sometimes boisterous and can be a spitfire for sure. Boyfriend jeans and studded jackets are staples in her wardrobe. Yet, she's easy-breezy, chill and relaxed, able to go up against the best of 'em when it comes to glamming it up and showcasing her femininity. It's never a problem for her to pull out the Christian Louboutins and Hermès Collier de Chiens. She loves showing off her versatility and isn't afraid to turn heads.

If you're a Glam Tomboy, consider these inspirations for your wedding:

I just adore the idea of non-traditional bridal style. Sure it might raise a few eyebrows, but isn't that what most glam tomboys live for? Instead of the mermaid lace gown and satin Stuart Weitzman pumps, layer on a denim shirt or jacket complemented by a mean pair of cowgirl boots or nude Christian Louboutin platforms. Go against the grain with a colored fondant wedding cake and signature cocktails featuring pop-sickles. Work with your photographer to select fun locations that showcase your hobbies or dates you and your fiance have gone on while courting. Instead of a candy buffet, ask your wedding planner to design a confetti bar for an exit just as magnificent as your entrance. Remember ... whatever you like is perfect. What's The Big Idea?

When designing events, especially weddings, I go out of my way to incorporate memorability in even the smallest of details. In my opinion, that's what will set your wedding apart from the others your guest have attended and even become accustom to. And while I'm a huge fan of "WOW factor," I'm well aware not everyone has a "WOW budget" to match. With that said, creatively infusing subtle touches that are in line with your ethetic go a long way. Trust me, one or two of these little ideas can make a BIG impact.

Here are a few ideas/trends I am crushing lately:

Napkin-Wrap Menu Cards - In my opinion, no wedding table is complete without menu cards - and these are such a unique way to showcase what each guest will be served. These can be dressed up or down depending on the style of your event as well. Plus, they save space!
Monogram Cupcake Display - This idea creates a wonderful opportunity to add pizzazz to your decor while also offering a sweet treat. Great photo op ... nice WOW-factor ... awesome departing gift for your guests.
French Macaroon Ring Stack - This one's just for show, but it's a showstopper without a doubt. Stack macaroons in bright, bold color as pictured above, or pull from your wedding color scheme for a gorgeous addition to your wedding photography.
Cotton-Candy Champagne Cocktail - Consider this sweetie as your signature drink or as a twist to your champagne toast. You can pull your wedding colors into this idea as well. Your guests will love it!
For-The-Next-Morning Sunglasses + Advil - Such a cool favor idea for tropical destination weddings and island themes. An item your guests are likely to appreciate (especially if you offered top-shelf open bar) and something they'll be able to use in the future.
Kiddie Camp Tent - As camp and farm themed weddings become more popular, this is a great alternative to the traditional "kids table." Coloring books and crayons will still be appropriate, but adding s'mores, books and a few toys brings this full circle.
Vintage Frame Escort Cards - Using frames as escort cards holders and/or favors is nothing new, but taking time to select a special variety takes an old idea up several notches. Visit your local antique shop as well as Home Goods for a nice mix. Plus, this certainly makes a beautiful display.
