Is it worth it?

I have always been strong in my views on politics. I have recently come to the point that I am done with it. Done. It is exhausting and just not worth it. It is such a distraction of satan. I will be knowledgeable but I will quit talking with others about it in public. Ignorance is into every facet of people. Christians, from my viewpoint, are very ignorant. Even when talking with Mike, I am not as passionate. I want more of God, YaHWeH. I am tired of things of this world mentally exhausting me. We are not told to "preach" about politics. We are told to preach the truth of God. People are hurting, living lies and giving excuses that all of that is ok. I don't want any of that anymore. I'm tired of worrying if I am offending man and not God. That's backwards. Stop believing what man tells you and look at what the word of God says. Please.

I am praying for so much right now but on the forefront of my mind are:

2 of our daughters are out of state with family. I am praying for their safety as they're away from us and for them to be strong in faith and character.

I very good friend of mine's sister in law (husband's sister) was strangled by an ex boyfriend in front of her children. The man is in jail and charged with murder. The children are with their father. I am praying for courage in heart, strength for the days ahead, love for each other, repentance of the man charged and salvation for all who need it.

Another good friend of mine is facing a battle today. It is family issues and her heart is broken with the possibility of severed ties. Praying for reconciliation, love, peace, patience and salvation for those that need it.

I praise you ADONAI because you are who you are. You are bigger than all this mess. You love your children and desire us to live in unity and reach a fallen world. Bestow on us the strength of the Holy Spirit to do your will and show the world who you are. Thank you for all you have done for me and my family. I desire wisdom, courage, strength, love and peace. Be with me as I go through this day and for me to show my children your love and who you are.

Emotional turmoil

There is so much going on in my life right now and some of it is not good. We are leaving a church we have been attending, heavily involved in and loved for 6yrs. It breaks our hearts but it needs to happen. Things are being ignored, leadership is being untrustworthy, families are being destroyed, etc. It truly rips me up inside.

I am 19wks pregnant and feel betrayed. I feel there is no one whom I can truly trust but the one true God. I feel a pull to follow closely to His Word. Not "closely" like the typical Christian calls it. As just the New Testament and to pick and choose from the Old Testament. We (Gentiles) are grafted in the vine of Israel. Israel is not to be grafted in the vine of the Gentile.

I am studying on Robin Sampson's website, Heart of Wisdom. I am reading His Word. We are to read His Word and understand it. We are to believe His Word and not take the word of doctrine of one particular denomination or another over it.

Now I believe with my head AND my heart! I am NOW a child of the MOST HIGH KING! I will go into more later. I feel such a peace! One of my friend's at church said I looked different...that I looked more at peace that everything is alright with the world. She said that BEFORE she knew that I am NOW saved! Our 8yr old said I looked different as well! I KNOW I am going to heaven! I do not have this doubt or fear no longer. I will be more than ok when Mike is gone...I have my Companion. Praise YOU LORD of ALL!!!

My New Bible

I have wanted a NASB Bible for some time. My husband got me a MacArthur Study Bible. I couldn't believe he remembered I had wanted one! This is the version our pastor uses. I love this bible and seems very good! :-D The cover is so soft!

I am going to prayfully read the bible in a year...my soul longs for the Word of Truth! I am going to follow this schedule and reading AT LEAST this much a day.

~The Advent Season~

The season of Advent is upon us and this year I am really looking forward to it. There will be so much that we will miss next year and I want to not forget a moment. I am going to try to save enough for a camcorder that uses cds/dvds instead of cassettes like we have. When Mike is gone, I can send him a dvd and he can play it on the laptop. Tomorrow I am going to buy the supplies to make a Advent wreath. We area reading Christ in Christmas: A Family Advent Celebration. We are also using the suggested Bible reading from Simplify and Celebrate; Embracing the Soul of Christmas. I will try to post about our celebrations this month with pictures. :-)

We have 4 children...4 beautiful girls. If we want to have more, it is no one's business. We probably aren't but that is beside the point. We aren't on any public assistance, we pay taxes and we take care of our children so no one is constantly "helping " us . Since when did children start being looked upon as a burden? God says that children are a blessing and a heritage...He says nothing about a burden. An elderly gentleman came up to me in Walmart and asked about Rebekah. He told me he had 15 grandchildren and how much of a blessing each one was. It was such a blessing for me to hear that!

It shouldn't bust anyone's ego that we have ANOTHER girl. It doesn't matter that it is OK that she is a girl because she could be the mother of the next Billy Graham. Just because I got pregnant when I shouldn't have been able to doesn't make Sarah and Rebekah "probably a gift (they are all gifts!). Talking about me using birth control, me getting my tubes tied, trying to convince me to get my tubes tied because your wife never had problems, and about my husband getting a vasectomy is OFF LIMITS! It is my uterus and my husband's penis, it is our marriage and our children...so...say it with me now... IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! Comparing leaving your family size up to God with Him taking your desire to overeat away is disgusting and just shows how little this world thinks of children.

The Birth of Rebekah Ann

Well, if you are looking for a lengthy birth story...look somewhere else. lol

On September 16th, the homeschool moms from our church gave me a baby shower. We had a fun time! I had a few braxton hicks but nothing painful. I had a lot of sweet tea, which was quite a treat because I haven't drank that in a long time. I left Tiffany's about 10:30 PM and went to Ingles. Mike had called earlier and asked me to pick up a few things. I got home about 11:15 PM or 11:30 PM, I can't remember which. I changed clothes and got into bed and watched a little TV. About 10 before midnight, Mike woke up and asked me why I was still up. He said that I needed to rest but I told him I had wanted to stay up a few more minutes...I think the sweet tea kept me up. So about midnight or a little after I went to sleep.

At about 2:20 AM or so I woke up. The tops of my legs were hurting really bad. When I went to pee, I saw a little bit of blood. I woke Mike up and told him that I thought I was in labor. After I told him, I had to go back to the bathroom. I peed again and had a really, really loose bowel movement. I KNEW I was in labor then. All of this happened so fast. I called my midwife and she suggested Mike run the tub and for me to get in and relax to see if that stops anything. She said that it sounded like the baby dropped. While Mike was running the tub, I called her back because the pain in my legs was not going away and I was feeling A LOT of pressure. During the few seconds we were talking she said my voice changed and for me to hurry and get in the tub and she was on her way. I immediately took off all of my clothes and got into the tub. I wanted to wear my black camisole in the tub but when Mike asked if I wanted it, I said that no, I just wanted in the tub. I got in and between the moaning and panting I asked him to turn on my CD player...it had a CD of a Celtic Christian band and it is very soothing. Mike then asked if I needed anything and I said something to drink. While he was gone downstairs, the pressure was intensifying. All of a sudden I felt a big pop and I knew my water had broken. I looked in the water and saw no color change and that made me feel better. I felt in between my legs and could feel the head. I continued to pant and pretending to blow out candles. I was also moaning. I was on my left side and I propped my right leg on the wall at the end of my tub. All of a sudden I felt and the head was out, then I remember thinking that ok...now the shoulders. Mike was still downstairs during this time...it was happening fast. Then all of a sudden I looked and the baby was out. I grabbed the baby fast and put her on my chest. I started crying and screaming for Mike. He was coming up the stairs at this time and ran in the bathroom. He looked at me and said, "Oh my God!" He was shocked! I was shocked! He called my midwife, who was about 20min away at this point and she asked him if that was the baby crying and he said no, it's April. lol She was crying too but I was louder. It wasn't from pain but from a joy I could not express any other way. I hadn't even looked yet if the baby was a boy or a girl! We have another girl! Rebekah Ann was born @ 2:36 AM on September 17th, 2008. I stayed in the tub until my midwife got there. Rebekah weighed 10 lbs 3 oz and was 22 1/4 in long. I couldn't believe how big she was! We both are doing really well and I am so happy that we didn't have to be transported to the hospital.

I truly believe God gave us this birth for me to have more of a bond with Rebekah. I wanted a boy so bad that I was afraid of how I would feel if this was a girl. She is a blessing and El-Shaddai gave her to us. I wouldn't have it any other way. I birthed her, I caught her. This is our story...just like Sarah's birth bonded her and Mike, this will forever bond Rebekah and I.

Rebekah Ann was born on September 17th (she shares her birthday with my brother and Mike's brother) and weighs 10 lbs 3 oz and is 22 1/4 in long. We both are doing very well. It was a faster delivery than Sarah. This one was unassisted as well since my midwife didn't make it until 20 min after she was born. I will post pictures and birth story, hopefully soon. :-)

One of my favorite things...knowing what to expect...too bad birth isn't like that

38 weeks

Homeschool Memoirs~Week 4

We are using Heart of Dakota curriculum this year for 8yr old and 5 yr old. It is a completely new curriculum to us. Rachel (8yr old) is using Bigger Hearts for His Glory and Elisabeth (5yr old) is using Little Hearts for His Glory. We are using Letter of the Week and Before Five in a Row for Sarah (3yr old) with a few other things mixed in (it can be seen on the side bar). We are really enjoying it this year and it has been a life-saver for this time in our lives. Please check it out...it is a breath of fresh air to a sometimes frazzled homeschool mom...at least this one who is 13 days from her due date! lol

Home visit and check up~37 weeks

We had our home visit with my midwife yesterday. It went really well. My bp was up (146/96) and had protein in my urine. We know that the protein was because I has not hydrated enough and had not eaten very much yesterday. I have been doing so much the past few days to a week that I haven't been drinking enough water or tea and not eating very much. My anxiety level has been up too. I was just so worried that I wouldn't have everything we needed, that the house wouldn't be clean like I wanted it to, that my midwife would think our tub wasn't big enough (it is a garden tub), that I was going to go into labor now and for some reason I have started worrying about the pain. Well, we have everything we need, she loves the layout of our bedroom and bathroom and LOVES the tub, the house is decluttered and organized, I am not in labor and I can handle the pain...I know what to do about it. Plus yesterday and today I have been hydrating like crazy (like I used to) and eating. My bp @ Walmart was 144/75. Which is great for being at Walmart! lol I also got the tinctures I needed to get (Hawthorne berry and Passion Flower), plus liquid calcium, colloidial silver, more vitamin C with bioflavinoids, and tea tree oil. Soon, this little one will be here and I will have one other person to cuddle with. :-)
