I just recently discovered this amazing and talented designer, whose creations have left me speechless. Besides the fact that he was born in Georgia like me, I can't help not to appreciate his designs that are absolutely unique and inspiring.
As you can see the major motifs are polka dots, bold colors and a lot of leather ( my favorite material).
I'm sure that David has a lot to offer to the fashion world and will surprise us with other breathtaking collections. Meanwhile I'll keep a close eye on him. Enjoy!

Uno dei stilisti emergenti e da me recentemente scoperto, David Koma, oltre il fatto che e' nato in Georgia come me, non potevo rimanere indifferente alle sue meravigliose creazioni che mi hanno lasciato senza fiato.
Come vedete, la collezione e' composta dai colori forti, ma la chiave della line sono certamente i polka dot e tanto cuoio( il materiale da me preferito).
David otterrà sicuramente successo clamoroso nel mondo della moda e ci sorprendere ancora di più con le sue future collezioni.

NYFW Fall Season Is Getting Closer

As you remember, this September I was invited to various fashion shows during the New York fashion week, during which I met many influential bloggers and some other VIP personas, but the most exciting part of it was meeting and attending some of the designer shows and fashion icons whom I've been following for a while: like Rachel Zoe and Kelly Cutrone for example.
Being able to admire and get an insight of the collections during the runways was also very exciting.
I'm very curious to see what the future holds for this fall season trends and must-haves and I can't wait to share the experience with you, so stay tuned and enjoy:)

Come vi ricordate questo Settembre sono stata invitata a varie sfilate durante NYFW, durante del quale ho avuto l'occasione di incontrare tante fashion blogger influenti ma anche varie persone VIP. Ma la parte più emozionante e divertente era attendere i show dei stilisti ed avere uno anteprima dei loro collezioni ed essere in grado di ammirarli dal vicino.

White Fantasy

When it comes to home decoration, white color is the first to pop in my mind. I consider white color as a perfect base to any decoration project, since it's extremely easy to match and add other layers of color to boost the dullness a bit. Sometimes all you need to revive and add a punch of color to your white space is simply few decorative items; flowers, a picture, a rug etc'..

White color gives you freedom of action and creativity like no other color, it's a flexible color and this is why you are not limited once you want to go on decorating and furnishing your house.

Quando si tratta di decorare la casa, il primo colore che mi viene in mente e' bianco. Secondo me la base di ogni progetto di decorazione e' proprio il bianco per il semplice fatto che' e' un colore neutrale su quale si può facilmente applicare altri colori più vivaci semplicemente aggiungendo oggetti di decorazione come: fiori, un quadro, un tappeto ecc'..

This Time Last Year...

This time last year we went to a 3 week vacation to Italy. This was not the first time we went to Italy but it sure was the longest and most exciting and fun trip ever. We stayed in 4 different hotels in different parts of Northern Italy. First destination was Venice (pictures in the next post), where we stayed only two days. We were astonished by the beautify of this magical city, everything seemed to be out of our reality and ordinary lifestyle. From there we went all the way up to the Dolomites were the real journey begun. Stay tuned for more in the upcoming posts...

L'anno scorso a questo tempo siamo andati in Italia per 3 settimane, non era la prima volta che ci andavamo ma sicuramente era una delle vacanze più' lunghe e divertenti.
L'avventura e' iniziata a Venezia, dove abbiamo trascorso solo 2 giorni (le foto nei prossimi post). Questa città' ci ha stupito per la sua bellezza e magia, con una realtà tanto diversa dalla nostra quotidianità e modo di vivere. Da Venezia ci siamo saliti su le dolomiti dov'è e' iniziata la vera avventura. Non perdete i prossimi post con più foto..

Among the list of my favorite designers, Dsquared2 have always been listed on top, why? because I love the way they add to every collection a touch of playfulness, carefreeness and a lot of color. Every collection is sexy, fun and flirty, feels like good mood is guaranteed no matter what! In a few words, they never disappoint me.

Nella lista dei mie stilisti preferiti, Dsquared2 ha sempre ottenuto un posto superiore, perché? per il semplice motivo che riescono a trasmettere spensieratezza, allegria e sopratutto tanto di colore in ogni collezione.
Ogni loro collezione e' sexy, divertente ed audace, sembra che il buonumore sia sempre garantito.
In poche parole, non mi deludono mai.

I love cooking and experimenting in the kitchen area, however when it comes to deserts and baking (not one of my strong sides) it becomes very challenging. After a few failed attempts with baking (trying to figure out math, physics and chemistry that's involved) I've almost given up, but recently, because of my passion to photography I started trying some desert recipes again and the results came out surprising.
The message to all of you out there is: never stop trying :)

Christmas in New York

Even though I don't celebrate Christmas, I've always loved the decorations and the way the city transforms into a magical world of light, decorations and a lot of shopping. This is my first time in New York during the Christmas period and I just love the way the city lights up, it feels that every little detail has been taken care of; the trees, the shops, the restaurants. The ornaments are absolutely stunning and all that is missing right now is a white snow:)

The Columbus Circle Porter House (New York)

A few weeks ago we craved for a good steak and since we were already near the Columbus circle, we couldn't help but try the Porter House restaurant that we have been wanting to check out for a while now. When the steak and crispy french fries were served and tasted, we knew that we made the right choice. The highlight of the dinner was the famous seven layer chocolate cake which even with our combined forces, we weren't able to finish.
Make sure to check this place out when you are in Columbus circle and enjoy.

Recently I made some changes to our NY apartment. Sometimes small colorful decoration details can change the whole atmosphere and add a new feel to a space. The only colors in our living room were black and white ( don't get me wrong, I love B&W combinations), but as much as I may love B&W, it started to look a bit dull so I thought of adding a bit of color without actually buying major furniture pieces, but rather small decorative items like the yellow placements that you see on the coffee table. It may be absolutely refreshing to add small pieces to your house( no need to spend a lot of money) that can tremendously add a new feel to the whole apartment, the items may be a picture on a wall or a new plant in the corner. So don't be afraid to change your space from time to time, and experiment with new exciting decor ideas.Enjoy!

As I mentioned in my previous posts, this is the perfect time to be in the big apple, and the images above surely "talk" better than me. The streets are already adorned and glowing from the light decorations on the trees, central park is revealing its best view of the year, and tourists around the globe keep on coming and coming...The only downturn seems to be the shivering cold but it's easily manageable thanks to warm cloths and Starbucks hot chocolate. I took these pictures a few weeks ago when walking on 14 street (Union Squares) and fifth Avenue on a rainy day. While walking and searching for a shelter from the pouring rain, I noticed a breathtaking view of Madison Square Park :wet yellow leaves on the benches and on the ground, adorable squirrels running up and down the trees and lightbulb decorations of Shake Shack underlining the whole magical atmosphere. The view was absolutely spectacular.

A few days ago I went for cosmetic shopping, and where did I go? Sephora of course, the best cosmetics chain store in USA. Here you can find all the big names from Christian Dior to Chanel but also less known but absolutely worth of trying new cosmetic brands.
Every time I go to Sephora, I completely ignore what was the reason I entered for the first place, which is buying a new foundation make-up and instead I am tempted to buy a new lipstick shade, in fact, the last time I went , I bought 4 different colors which is not typical to me at all because usually I stick to the colors I commonly use, but lately I'm eager to try new things.

The autumn days are breathtaking in NY. All the colors of the leaves create a stunning, picturesque view that can be best admired in Central Park.

I've always admired black and white photography. There's something mysterious and magical about b/w pictures that I can't really describe. Even when the content and the subject of the picture is nothing special, the picture becomes more appealing and interesting once you make it b/w.

I've been doing non-stop shopping since I moved to NY. You have so many choices here that it's impossible to ignore the vast variety that NY offers in clothing. You can find basically anything or any style you're into. My latest shopping pieces are from Forever 21, the funny thing is, I've been avoiding to shop at F21 since I came to NY because I thought that the quality was very low and that I wouldn't find anything I liked, but to my surprise, I gave it another chance and I just discovered whole new world; beautiful and unique jewelry pieces, up to date, hip stylish clothing pieces and even though the quality is not superb , you can still find some great pieces at a very reasonable price. I tend to be very judgmental and quick in turning something down, but sometimes when I loosen up and give things another try, I become surprised by the things that I discover:)

One of my favorite places in NY is the meatpacking district, 14 street. The concept of this hip district is very similar to Soho, many cafe's, high end designer boutiques, open air restaurant and stylish New Yorkers. If you're looking for a less touristic destination and want to know where local new yorkers hang out, then this is definitely the place for you.

We're only at the end of October but there's already a holiday atmosphere in the air in NY.
Yesterday I went out for my ultimate city exploration and couldn't help notice all the Christmas ornaments and decorations in the shops.
Along with the holidays the temperatures are getting lower everyday.In fact, today was the first day I had to wear a warm coat over my sweater, so the harsh cold days are officially here. Now all that's missing are the snowflakes in the air:)

Central Park

Central park is a must see location during this time of the year. It's always sunny no matter how cold it is outside and the view is absolutely breathtaking and picturesque.

As you may see my belly is quite evident these days, since I'm almost 7 months pregnant. Fashion becomes very challenging during the pregnancy period and picking the right outfit that first and foremost is comfortable is not an easy task. However, I'm very excited and can't wait to meet my baby, it is truly a life changing experience:)

The good news is, NY fall fashion week is after I will give birth, so I can attend and enjoy the shows while my mom takes care of the little one:)
