Divine Devotion

I have spoken about Divine devotion before and this morning it comes up again. Often I have been asked what is Shamanism? Or what does it mean to be a Yogi? In Heroes of the Now I suggest, from direct personal experience that the two are the same. Shaman and Yogi’s have been around since man began to intellectualize this worldly experience, I postulate. There are some that suggest Shamanism is the oldest form of “Spirituality” out there, with indications that man recognized Spirit as long as 25,000 years ago, archeologically evidenced by cave paintings and sculptures found in various parts of the world. The simplest definition I suggest is merely that devotees to this path recognize, understand and see that energy, or Spirit, is the root of humanities experience. That there is a Universal Consciousness in this energy and that it is the very Life Force that creates our reality. Some call it God. In my past, I was trained through my upbringing to discard this notion and cast aside the term, God, as something that was not to be talked about, embraced or understood further. Logically, it didn’t make sense to those around me and as a result, I, too, moved away from the Divine and entered the material world of the senses… Yes, it is far easier to believe the senses and intellect, accounting for the life experience that unfolds before our very eyes. Yet, I always knew there was more. The path of the material experience, one of the senses and logical mind can be void of Spirit. Sometimes, perhaps, there is a spark of awareness that a higher power exists, but it is quickly shed due to training or teachers, as in the material world, it is the body and mind that is the doer; the one who gets things done… puts food on the table, shelter overhead, protects the family and various other sundry tasks dictated by human survival, first, then societal expectation. This leads to a life devoid of the essence of All that Is and brings down the Iron Curtain, I spoke about a few days ago. If you consider where humanity is at today, just look around you, it is plain to see that as a world culture, we are NOT on a Spiritual path. And you may ask… What can I do about it? I am just one… That is your answer… you are the One! That has the power to change it all. It all begins with you, right now. Open your hearts, dear Ones… and close your eyes, but for a moment and travel within. Cast off the burdens placed upon you by a misguided notion. You are not the doer, when you let the Universal Energy flow through your being. You are the instrument, Divine in your nature and your purpose on this Journey is to realize that. To Remember your origins. The Spiritual path, at this time is an arduous one, merely for the fact that...

We are Love

There has been a lot of challenges present in the experience and as I look around and discuss with clients, friends and family, this energy is pervasive and affecting many. If this has been your experience, as likely it has, please be aware that yes it is OK! All is in accordance with the Divine plan and your conscious evolution needs these experiences to bring you to the higher awareness that you, indeed match the Universal energy that is all around. Love is our word for that energy. You Are Love, is that so hard to accept? Yes, sometimes it is… and again, that is OK. You were conditioned, trained, programmed, what ever term you choose, to misunderstand the reality of our experience. I was and still at times find it hard to accept this energetic fact. I am Love? Just what does that mean in our societal or conditioned experience? The world I lived in certainly frowned upon this notion so much, as to beat me down until I no longer believed it. Love, ever-expansive, unconditional and free, goes against the very grain of the societal experience I grew up in… How can I compete in the world, if I am the open-heart of Love? How I will I survive? Or put food on the table? Or get a job and advance in a career? How will I make it in the world I live in? How will I support myself? How will I be able to save the money needed for retirement? What will I do when I get old? The list goes on and on… but I have come to find these questions are not mine. However, early on, I succumbed to them and my heart closed over. An iron curtain draped over my being, effectively closing me off to the Divine and then the challenges began. Work wasn’t effortless, it was actual work! Creativity wasn’t creative, it was contrived… designed to get what I needed or wanted; manipulative or subversive these behaviors became. The iron curtain, like lead draped over to protect the body from the harmful effect of x-rays, completely removed my access to the Source energy that is all around me… To the Source energy that is me… To Love. So, I began to die. Slowly, but surely the effects began to show and at an early age, I became a dried up landscape, desiccated and completely barren; devoid of actual life, the Love of Creator a mere spark within a void of darkness. I am here today but for one reason and through a process of self-discovery, I have returned to that which so long ago, I cast aside. Those questions that my parents, society and my peers all asked me are wrongly directed? The “I” is not the one taking care of me… That is the illusion and is separatist, elitist and self-serving. It is God whom insures our well-being, the Creator of All that IS and [he] will never let us...

Love is all that is…

Divine Love is ever-present, omniscient, unconditional and available to all. It is Creator’s brilliance shining through All that Is; the spark of God that resides within every living being and all matter. Divine Love fills all voids and brings joy to the human experience. The Creator blessed every Soul with the Father/Mother connection to Source through supreme consciousness imbued within the infinite expression of [his] Love. So, we got that going for us! Today is Valentine’s Day and many today will celebrate their own expression of Love and relationship. Much joy and happiness pervades the ethers today, as well as sorrow and suffering. Both experiences blossom from the bosom of Creator’s Love, as we are on a Soul Journey to Consciousness. We came here to this three dimensional plane of existence to experience what is not possible in the higher realms of Spirit. We came here to feel, in human form what higher consciousness cannot and in the process the illusion of separation began and has perpetuated throughout time. This deception of the mind/ego has effectively disillusioned so many, as to create the mass consciousness that now believes in the material world of the senses, rather than knowing the truth. You are Love, my friend and so am I. In that we are the same, all sum parts of the whole of existence with essential importance to All Creation. We matter and all matters arise from Source in continual motion towards divine fulfillment of the conscious evolution of this human experience. We have come to a crossroads now, a tipping point and the entire world hangs in the balance. We have a choice. Love is the root of all experience, even fear arises out of it, and at this beautiful moment All Creation cheers humanity towards resolution. Fear has caused much suffering in the world today, fueled by anger, greed and a mentality of separation and lack. Yet, Love knows only abundance and a cohesive unity of oceanic proportion with each individuated expression of Source folding into the Universe when God [Love] is realized. Cultivating a relationship with God may have a stigma attached to it for some, as it did for me, but the time has come to release those antiquated thoughts and programmed beliefs. The moniker, merely a convention abused over time to perpetuate separation, refers to something much bigger than I ever understood. When I stripped away the notion that God is some Being in the clouds that looks down and judges his creations and recognized that the reference is to the energy, the swirling vibrancy beyond our senses that all Creation sprouts from, my relationship began. Love is that essence, the energetic substance of Creator that is everywhere. It is in the very air that we breathe and is known throughout the world by different names and descriptions, yet it is all the same and accessible to all. God is energy and that is Love which surrounds us in its warm embrace, whether we are aware...

Inner Peace

Time stands still within the depth of breath and an awakening of Spirit arises from the inner peace brought by this silence. Focus on the breath and all fades away, the mind quiets and becomes deep, clear blue, beckoning, calling out to follow even further… Where it takes you must be experienced directly. No one can tell you how it feels. The ancients tell us this, as do I, a modern yogi in a technological era. If you are reading this and it resonates with you then you have found something that supports your quest. What is it you seek? More clarity? More peace? Better personal or business relationships? A better job? More money or greater prosperity? Whatever you think you desire right now is all possible to be true, yet the way we have been taught to get to it is a bit backwards and has caused much consternation in the world today. There was much competition in the world that I grew up in, my training ground, yet God knows no lack. Are you kidding me? This is an infinite Universe and the resources we have here on this planet abundant. Competition is contrived, created by a system that either misunderstood or was wracked with greed and intolerance. Regardless, that must change within you if you truly want what you seek. The programming that you underwent must be cleared and new ways of seeing and interacting with the world must be created within your energetic signature in order for you to have the new experience you desire. Perhaps you have been “successful”. Perhaps you have all that you ever wanted, the job, the money, the house, the wife and kids… but yet there is still an emptiness. Perhaps, even you contemplate leaving that all for something different… hmmm. Let me guess, a new job… a new wife… a new house or toy… I know this because that was my life and for many years that is what I did. Nope! No glory. Still deeply dissatisfied… This pattern is one that is rooted in the material world or the external senses and the sages of old all say that is not the way to freedom. And so do I… from direct personal experience. Again, you must experience what they are talking about before it becomes clear. Otherwise… the cycle continues. In the eye of the hurricane is what? Stillness, a calm in the center of massive chaos… Aspire to this. No matter what is happening in your world right now, find the eye of your storm, your center and journey there. Take a deep breath and you have begun. Stop believing all that is bombarding your senses, even if just for a moment and begin to feel deep inside you. Allow your conscious act of breathing right now to transport you out of that storm and into the center of your being. Trust me, everything looks different from here and in this calm you will find...
