Twenty Twelve

2012-01-01T10:54:00.001-05:00

We are all geared up for a new year, a new home, and lots of exciting new ideas for the shop and family crafts. My daughters have recently become interested in knot work so we've begun little friedship bracelet lessons. I am desperately trying to teach myself to crochet so we struggle to learn together! We have switched up Friday nights from pizza nights (homemade), movie nights, games nights, and now I am think Friday Craft nights. I know my brain is always buzzing with new ideas or methods so sharing them with my always eager artsy kids is great. Maybe this blog will finally mesh into a gorgeous mix of shop items, ideas, and How-to-diy with the kiddos... lets see how much I can keep up with!

August, august, august... I have mixed feeling about you!

As the summer break draws to a close I am always sad to let go of the breezy beach days, but eager for the crispness that Autumn brings. I celebrate my birthday at the end of the month which is usually so fun but this year it's a big one.... 30. yikes. July just flew.. and I was toying with the idea of a Christmas in July sale but somehow the calender flipped when I wasnt looking.. so how about a "hey it's my birth month.. wanna win some goodies?!" giveaway?

Here's what ya gotta do... find at least 2 friends (or more :o) ) that you just know would love a silly handmade toy and have them check out my ETSY shop, "like" my FB shop page, and click to Follow this blog. Leave a comment on here and/or fb about what your favorite shop item is. I will do a raffle type giveaway (more friends you refer, more times you name goes in the pot) So go, spread the word, pick your favs, and comment to win!

(of course comments, special orders, and feedback is ALWAYS welcome on any page of mine)

:o)

Yet again it's Friday, is it me or are the weeks just flying by lately? It's like in movies when they show the calender pages just flipping away in the wind... life has been sailing at full speed the past few months.

The girls are settled in to their school routines, we just had class pictures and next week is parent-teacher conferences already. Jax is of course busy causing chaos and pee stains (potty training a 2 1/2 year old boy is challenging to say the least)

I am cruising into winter/holiday items for TheBurbs.etsy.com... so if you need a fun child friendly gift this season just check it out already!!

Snow

2010-10-14T09:20:00.000-04:00

Our forecast is calling for the temps to be down in the 40's tomorrow.. as the cold winter creeps in I think of the smell of fireplaces, down coats, hot coffee, and snowy owls. In homage to the impending snowfall....
