Ala... Oka Roju is a 22 minute short film that takes you through a tour of love, comedy and confusion. Thanks to great acting from the cast and some hilarious dialogues, this short film becomes a must watch even though it is in categories that most telugu short films are and there is ample amount of choice for the viewer to pick a short film. I am sure that amongst all who watches this short film once, many would watch it again. Here are some of the highlights from the short film.

- The acting from every cast member has been outstanding. It increases the watchability coefficient^* of this short film. My favorite actors from this short film are the characters: Srivi and Bharath
- The dialogues are very funny. I loved these 2 dialogues the most: Action 500 dialogue and Ayina mee chelli dialogue.
- My favorite scenes from this short films: Intro of Srivi, Bharath's kidnap, Scene at the stadium and climax
- The background music goes well with the short film. It is best at the scene on the street.
- The character Sanjana's reaction when Srivi proposes is natural and priceless (You can watch the short film again just for her reaction sake).

Here are a couple of notes for the makers:

- When the character Srivi starts searching for the girl, the video shakes a lot
- The non linear run of story in the short film causes a little confusion.

Geethanjali is a one time watch short film. I think it is one of the first short films for the makers. You got to watch it for the effort put in by a small team. Here are some highlights:

- The first thing anyone would like is the location (park) and the red car
- There are a few scenes that were good. My favorite scenes from this short film are: Ganesh explaining how his encounter was with the girl's mother at temple, climax scene and the making bit
- Birds chirping at the beginning of the video gives a natural feel to that scene
- Just 3 characters in the video

Notes to the makers

- Most of the times when a song is played in the background, it ends abruptly.
- The character Guru sits folding his hands for most part of the short film
- The dialogue "poni dance cheyana?" does not fit in the conversation.
- Ganesh in his conversation with Guru in the park mentions that he waited for him at his office for about 2 hours. How can Ganesh wait at Guru's office without knowing his name or how he looks. If he did, he would have recognized in the park.

Vasanthayaanam - You will like the tiny phase of Vasanth's life shown in this short film. I would recommend watching this short film for seeing the bondage Vasanth has with 4 other main characters in the short film (cousins and friend). The conversations between them are funny and sometimes serious too. One can easily feel a connect to the likes of those conversations and like them. Here are some other highlights of the short film.

- Cast did a great job. My favorite characters - Male: Karthik and Madan Gopal, Female: Geeta, Girl at coffee shop who has a long list of guys.
- Dialogues are excellent. Every dialogue is my favorite. The language[When was the last time a short film used the word 'sukthulu' ?] and rhyming is beautiful.
- Background music is pleasant and the song towards the end of the short film is good.
- There are lot of fun scenes. Every scene with Madan Gopal is like that, specially the one with Geeta. Apart from it, every conversation between the 5 main characters and the skype chat are good.
- The title and tag line at the beginning and end of the short film are good.

Here are some notes to the makers:

- Am I your first love? seems like it doesn't fit the bill. Needs rephrasing or a total change of question
- The scene where the character Madan Gopal gets a lot of flowers and chocolates and the folks in car laugh appeared a bit artificial. The concept is good though.
- I believe this is a message oriented short film. However, the viewer is left in a dilemma at the climax. Vasanth makes a great decision and at the same time finds the girl he has been looking for all the time. Now as a viewer do I follow the great decision or wait as Vasanth finds what he has been looking for. The viewer is not sure what the message is at the end.

It has been raining almost everyday in the last month in Hyderabad. Needless to say, the existing potholes have become larger and there are a lot of new ones all over the roads. Driving from Paradise to Panjagutta is anyone's nightmare. The metro works and potholes cover good area of the road to make the roads much smaller than they really are.

To add to all this, there is the hyderabadi traffic. The concept of entropy was born seeing hyderabad traffic. You ask me why I say so. Well, let me explain.

Let me start with the law of indicators. It states that if a vehicle has given a right indicator, it does not mean they would take the next right. But it can mean either the vehicle intends to take a right in it's course of journey before reaching the destination or the vehicle is going left and they want you to be on the right.

Ambipur Mini Vent Clip on my car :)

If a vehicle has the parking lights on, the vehicle would take a turn but the driver is undecided whether to take a left or right. Everyone is familiar with the 'horny' folks - The ones who press the horn and do not feel the necessity to stop it. And then there are the amazing autowallahs. Almost every auto driver here is an alternate fuel enthusiast. Everyone has their own formula and their own fuel combination. The most popular combination is called "Holy smokes". The name as you might have guessed comes from the fact that the vehicle would leave enough smoke to blind the vehicle behind. Free left is a myth.

Now I am sure you understand why I said so and you can image what it is to travel in such weather on such roads with the awesome traffic. When ever I am out, I am drenched in rains and when I get back like that into the car with the closed windows, the odor is bad. I can be patient about all the external factors that are intolerable while driving but something that is in my car is in my control and has to be made better. I have experimented with quite a few car perfumes but I was not quite happy as the odor would be either to strong to bear or plain ineffective. While in this phase, I found the mail from indiblogger and applied for the ambipur mini vent clip sample.

When the sample was delivered I was surprised seeing the size of the mini vent clip and was skeptical about the duration it would work looking at the amount of liquid it contained. Once I had it in my car and started using it, I have been happy about both the aspects. The small size of the vent clip is a boon for the interior look of the car. The oddness that we find when a huge perfume bottle is kept is not found with the mini vent clip. Check out the image from my car :) Does not spoil the appeal of the dashboard. It has come for a duration of good 40-45 days of daily use which is great. There is also a provision to change the intensity. There are 3 modes: low, medium and high. Set it like to want and breathe happy. I have used the mini vent clip in the high when I was totally drenched in rain and the car was absolutely nice. There was no uneasiness and it was like breathing fresh air. Even at times when I have to go behind a garbage truck, I closed the windows and had the mini clip on and instantaneously the difference is known. Now, everyday travel is a fresh and happy experience.

Making a short film isn't easy and to get a comedy is tough and to get it to work is tougher. Most of the attempts land being artificial and lose the viewer. Viva on the other hand is a well made comedy short film. Anyone who watches would be inclined to watch it more than once again and that's what the number of views say as well. Here are some highlights:

- The narration at the beginning while the titles are running sets the mood of the film already. This is great
- The performance from each actor has been extremely well. Harsha did an excellent job. He will remind you of your external viva examiners.
- The answers from students are hilarious. "Gali lo dosalu", "udukuntu tea taginatu undi", "ok sir", "mantralu chadevinadi chalu" will be remembered for a good long time
- The gestures that all the actors make are natural and you can connect someone that you know from your college to them
- The final twist is great, One that would surprise the viewer.

Some notes for the makers:
- No girl students take viva?
- Parts of the reaction from the person taking viva appear a little too cinematic
- Some sounds in the background stop abruptly.

The viva is an entertainer. Hope to see more from the makers.

Agent is more of a scene than a short film. I believe it is an attempt to get an action sequence in place. This 10 minutes video is an awesome one. To start with the way titles are rolled is great. The background score chosen for the video goes exactly with the video. To narrate a story/scene with absolutely no dialogues is a very difficult task and the way it has been done in this video is noteworthy. The light in the video is not regular it has been experimented as well. The acting from everyone has been special. The following are my favorite scenes from the video:

When the lead guy jumps and looks at the camera. There is style in the way it is shown. Marks an impression on the viewer
The fighting sequence - chase - great camera and edit
The scene where guy smokes in the middle of chase and fight - Any lead role person would love to get such a elevation in the movie
End of the video - Looks similar to MI but still good

Agent is an entertainer. Looking forward for the next from VSP. Here are some observations from the video that can be worked on:

Almost everybody's costume is a hood
When the lead guy goes into the room to repair the telephone, he does not allow the other guy to enter. Doesn't go with the theme considering the other guy had stopped earlier the lead guy to check and could have demanded the same here too
When the lead guy leaves his house and is on the street. Why no footwear?

Prema Ishq Kadhal is a funny short film. It entertaining through out. There are lot of places where the video has been shot very well. Here are some of the positives I find in this short film. The scene where the 2 friends are shown in 180 degrees has come well. It would have been great if that were a little slower. The scene where all the 3 guys run has come stable. There is no shake even though the characters are moving fast. The frustation scene has come well. The guy has acted well. The scenes where the short guy goes and talks to a girl and the place where the old man goes walking and narration comes have come very funny.

Why this kolaveri version of the guy is great. The rolling of bottles on the road has come well. Best dialogues in the short film are: "Nee experience motam vadu, kaani ade repeat cheyaku easy ga paditotundi", "Round off chesi confuse cheyaku, confusion lo ekuva thitesta". The girl in the lead role looks great and has acted well. The 3 guys have done well. The 2 guys (friends of the lead guy) have done a super job.

My favorite scenes from the short film are:

9:55 - 10:02 - Birds flying in the sky scene - Absolutely amazing
The scene where pug is shown
The scene where the guy jumps and leaves fall on him
17:29 - 17:34
The scenes shot at the temple

Here are a few little things that I have observed:

When the guy is hit with bucket, it hits the back portion of the head. In the next scene, a bandage is shown on the forehead.
The foul language at places is clearly heard. Using beep was useless
In the start of the video, the lead role guy is told as inter failed, then later when the guy has conversation with his friends at bowling while eating pizza, he says in your college CBIT. Inter failed or engineering student?
When the 3 guys go in a car, the scene gets abruptly cut and changed
How does the guy have the pain killer handy i do not understand
Where does the deo spray come from is a mystery to me

Break Up Telugu Short Film Review

Break Up is a funny film. There are both positives and negatives in the way it has been made but I must say it is entertaining. The way titles come is different and the use of cartoon along with names is good. The dialogues are the strength of the film. Most dialogues are natural. One can relate to them if you have ever witnessed a conversation of students who are room mates. 'Art cinema lo hero la expression pedethe' is the best dialogue in the film. Use of narration to take the story forward is a plus. The dialogues - "Veediki pichi mudiri poyindi" and "Raasi vunni okati guruthupetuko" make you laugh - Too good those 2 places of the film. The scene shot at the top of the house has come well. Should have tried to capture the scene better. The whole conversation between the 3 there has come very funny. I liked the punch at the end of the video.

That said, these are the little areas that could be improved:
1. The character Vijju is all smiles always. Some places it wasn't necessary. :)
2. In the first shot, the guy grabs the other guy's phone and says that the message has been deleted. So quick deletion. Little not so natural stuff
3. The place where Sada Siva song comes - that got a little dragged. Could have been much shorter
4. Music continuity isn't there. And it was lot dependent on movie songs. Some places to establish the mood of the scene.
5. Dialogue volume/clarity at places gets disturbed - For example: the place where 2 guys are running and they say "manage cheyadam manaki kotha emi kadu"

Bewars is a good telugu short film. The story is not special but the way it has been shot surely is. To start with, you will first notice that the music and background score is really great. The way alarm has been used to establish the time of day is very clever. The guy who did the lead role has performed very well. The expressions at places are really natural. For instance, the face he makes when he all ready at the beginning of the video. Editing has been top quality. The transitions donot give an appeal of video break anywhere, though the scenes are split in chapters and the first 2 are not connected. The dialogues have been well written. The viewer can connect to the dialogues easily as they are just like the daily conversations one gets into.

The first time the character Vishnu explains his concept - This came brilliant. The guy's acting here is appreciable. The camera has been well managed. Even in places like the one where the guy and girl are going on a bike the video is stable. That is good work.

These scenes are my favorite in this short film
a. 7:38 minutes - 7:50 minutes
b. 8:05 minutes - 8:08 minutes
c. 8:15 minutes - 8:18 minutes
d. 10:30 minutes - 10:42 minutes

All characters have acted very well. The girl has done a good job in the restaurant scene where she kills the sandwitch except the final place where she starts laughing. 'Udayam bus akke' dialogue is the best. The most wittiest.

Overall, this short film is entertaining. Please do watch.

I have also noted a couple of places where there could be improvement:
1. The first conversation between the character Vishnu and his friend in a restaurant - There is a dialogue when Vishnu saying 'idi trailer matram e' I do not understand the relevance of it at that point of time.
2. When the guy and girl meet the first time in the auto. I am not sure with the percentage of girls that would react the way it is shown in this short film. And more importantly, what is the probability that you randomly meet a stranger and you get to track her again?

Rudra - The writer is an excellent telugu short film. There are many aspects about this film that would make you like it. Let me start with this. "Kadha e balam cinema ki". Take a bow for that dialogue. I honestly wish all tolly film makers understand this one phrase. Though every dialogue was awesome. This won me. And no doubt the short film was made keeping in mind the same. The background score is super. The clarity of the video is excellent. No shakes what so ever. Through out the video, the dialogues are crystal clear, neat, simple and minimal. The character rudra hardly narrates any piece of story but the way suspense is shown from the expressions, body language and dialogues of the other characters is totally impressive. The reaction when Rudra narrates the first version of second half is witty. That piece was almost tollywood script :)

All the characters acted very well. The person who played the role of Rudra needs a special mention. Well done man! The fan talk/conversation - It was absolutely natural. The ending was expected but still leaves the viewer with a big smile.

Though the film is abosultely great. Here are some little things I have found:
1. The place where Rudra laughes during the titles, there is a small sync issue between visual and the audio
2. Both the times producer makes a call, the writer is kidnapped. Doesn't sound very natural.
3. Only one guy who gets the writer wears a mask. Strange why others do not or he does
4. I feel that the place where rap song comes - the lyrics and tune both are good. But there is a slight mismatch in the lyrics fitting the tune at places
5. After the guy finishes the story and the other person asks for scene version, the writer says that he would bring the second half in 2-3 days. Is it not supposed to be the scene version of the story?

You can notice in this short film that:

The story line is fairly common and one that you can predict as the film keeps running or moving forward
The dialogues have been written well. Some are witty.
The cast performed well. The only place where I felt could be done better is towards the end of the movie where the guy goes behind the last girl
The narration became unclear at places. I believe this was mismatch between narrating rhyming script and fast moving video
The place where cartoon style video is shown is impressive.
Neat editing is a plus.
I liked the punch at the end of the video
Personally I like the making part more than the video.
I see this in Ritesh's short films - The guy never makes it with the first girl (Love Ganta, Mila milala, second chance - all have it). Not sure why he likes that theme.

I was recently at Kerala. The place is an absolute delight for photographers. You will want to keep taking photographs of every thing you see. This one is my personal favorite from the 10 photographs I took there.

How to get your Sony Ericsson phone repaired?

If you think that you just have to walk in to an authorised service centre and give your phone then you are mistaken. I had to get a new keypad for my Sony Ericsson j20i hazel and I had to do these steps to get it repaired.

1. Procure a ticket number by registering your issue with customer care number 1800 3000 2800. Without this, your phone would not be taken. Even if out of warranty.
2. Present the mobile along with the ticket number at your nearest authorised Sony Ericsson service centre.
3. They do a round of initial testing on your mobile before they take it. The early level screening tests are: software version, power on/off, recognition of sim, make/receive call, test mode check, volume up/down, ringer up/down, wireless/browser, Bluetooth, cameras check
4. Wait for them to get your piece repaired.

It is over 10 days that my phone is in step 4. The issue was to get the keypad replaced. I will make an update once I get hold of it.

If you wish to upgrade your iPhone to iOS 6 . You can do it in these simple steps.

1. Go to the settings menu in your phone.
2. In settings, navigate to general and then to software update.
3. Click on the download and install button.

Make sure you have connected your. Phone to a power source before you start.

It is recommended that you do the download on wifi. The size of the upgrade material is 504 mb.

The upgrade process took me half hour.

Some screens from the new iOS 6 have also been added.
