Chef de Cuisine aboard the Carnival Splendor

Sameer is the Carnival Splendor's Chef de Cuisine. He oversees the food operations for the entire ship, from the crew mess halls to the Lido buffets, and all the way on up to the exclusive Pinnacle Steakhouse. Sameer tells us a little about his job, and gives a few helpful recommendations as to what to try why sailing aboard the Splendor. Carnival Splendor Naming Ceremony

Video - Carnival's CEO trying out the Flowrider

Carnival Cruise Lines CEO, Gerry Cahill, recently took advantage of the chance to try out the Grand Turk Flowrider. The Flowrider is a wave simulator available to Carnival guests at the Grand Turk Cruise Terminal. Check out the video to see it in action, and give it a try if you're headed to Grand Turk!

Video Interview - Housekeeping Manager aboard the Carnival Freedom

Donatas is the Carnival Freedom's Housekeeping Manager, a duty roughly equivalent to running an entire hotel--at sea. He and his staff pride themselves on their excellent service and their neverending quest to continue improving. They cherish every little thing they can do to enhance their guests' experiences, from twice-daily stateroom cleanings to the custom towel animals they create as surprises. Video Interview - VP of Reservation Sales

Adolfo Perez is Carnival's VP of Reservation Sales, and he's been with the company for 26 years. In this video he gives a brief history of his time with Carnival, from his early days on the docks up to now where he oversees a department of 700 people. Crystal is a Youth Director who we interviewed aboard the Carnival Freedom. She clued us in to a lot of information, including registration info, activities for the kids, and even special events like slumber parties. There is definitely a lot for kids to do during their cruises, and Camp Carnival allows them to make friendships in the process. From what Crystal says, some of these friendships even continue back home after the cruise! A very special thanks to her for speaking with us... it was a hectic day and she still made the time. Video Interview - Maitre D' aboard the Carnival Freedom

Kenneth is the Maitre D' aboard the Carnival Freedom, and he is responsible for the dining experiences of thousands of guests every day. He oversees all the dining facilities, including the Lido restaurant, room service, and the Supper Club. We were able to chat with him before the day got too hectic, and he gave us a nice overview of his job and all the hard work it takes to provide high quality dining to Carnival's guests. Video Interview - Casino Manager aboard the Carnival Miracle

While the Carnival Miracle was in town for a few hours before embarking on an 8-day voyage, we hopped aboard to speak with Chris about his duties as Casino Manager. It's his job to interact with both the guests and dealers out on the floor in order to maintain the highest level of service, and in the interview he touches on topics ranging from opening night specials to gaming tournaments and lessons. It's quite apparent that Chris enjoys his position aboard the Carnival Miracle, and it's also clear that he keeps quite busy. Many thanks to him for chatting with us!
