These poor celebrities - someone must really have it out for them. They can never catch a break. Can't even have an allergic reaction in peace. Ahem!! good One Charlie. I've come up with some doozies in my day but I never though of that one. I'll have to stick that one in my pocket for a future day.

When a celebrity lands themselves into some trouble, a powerhouse team of publicists typically do what they're hired to do: spin, spin, spin.
But Charlie Sheen's camp lobbed a doozy Tuesday, hours after it was revealed the troubled actor spent the night in the hospital following a booze-and-blow binge with a hired date in his Plaza Hotel suite, police sources said.
And the "Two and a Half Men" star, who has infamously struggled with alcohol, drugs and anger management, now has his team pulling double-duty, releasing not one but two statements.
"What we are able to determine is that Charlie had an adverse reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to be released tomorrow," Sheen's publicist said.
Added his lawyer, "Charlie is being evaluated and should be released tomorrow. We think he had an allergic reaction to some medicine."
Right.
So does Sheen's "allergy" take the cake for All-Time Worst Excuse? Consider these celebs and their rather unfortunate circumstances:

PARIS HILTON
Offense: The heiress, who - like Sheen - is no stranger to law enforcement, found herself back in court this summer after she was arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of cocaine possession.
Defense: In addition to initially claiming the stash was actually just gum, Hilton later insisted that the purse in which the drugs were found wasn't hers. The jig was up when an old photo of Hilton showing off the bag was unearthed. She later agreed to a plea deal for two misdemeanor charges, thereby avoiding jail and instead getting a sentence of probation, a fine and community service.
LINDSAY LOHAN
Offense: When Lohan was due to appear in a Beverly Hills courthouse for a mandatory hearing in May, the actress was a no-show.
Defense: The scandal-ridden starlet claimed her passport was stolen while she was in Cannes and she would miss her flight. However, the judge was none too pleased, telling LiLo's lawyer, "She should have made sure she either didn't go to Cannes or made sure to be back two days earlier."
BRITNEY SPEARS
Offense: In the years before the pop star's official meltdown, Spears was on a slow downward spiral that often wavered into dangerous territory. In 2006, she was photographed driving with her son Sean Preston, then just four months old, in her lap.
Defense: After an outcry, the singer released a statement claiming the illegal seating arrangement was due to a "horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi." Spears later defended herself again, this time in an interview with Matt Lauer, explaining that the act just ran in the family. "I did it with my dad," she said. "I’d sit on his lap and I drive. I've been waiting for this story to come out. I'm so happy to hear that Mariah Carey is going to have a baby!

US singer Mariah Carey has confirmed that she and her husband, America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon, are expecting their first child.
"Yes, we're pregnant, this is true. We're expecting in the spring," said Carey in a TV interview.
Carey, 40, also revealed she had suffered a miscarriage soon after she and Cannon married in 2008.
"It's been tough, because I have been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy," she told Access Hollywood.
"At this point, there is no choice. I either talk or I hibernate," she added.
Carey has not revealed the sex of the baby. According to her husband, however, the child's name has already been decided.
"We've had names picked out from the first day we met and we want to stay true to that," Cannon told presenter Billy Bush.
The couple married in the Bahamas in April 2008. Carey's first marriage to to producer Tony Mottola ended in divorce in 1998.
News of Carey's pregnancy emerged after British actress Thandie Newton accidentally disclosed it on US chat show The View.

Popemobil Gets Makeover

The Popes visit to Britain is stirring up controversy. It seems one of his entourage was spewing hate and discontent where it wasn't appreciated. Cardinal Walter Kasper, was dropped from the popes entourage after accusing Britain of harbouring aggressive atheism and discriminating against Christians, was condemned as racist by secular protesters determined to disrupt the Papal trip, the first to Britain for 28 years. The 77-year-old Cardinal had told a German magazine: 'When you land at Heathrow you think at times you have landed in a Third World country.'

No papal tour would be complete without the sight of a Popemobile. Yesterday saw the unveiling of the official vehicle to be used on Pope Benedict XVI's first official visit to the UK.

The Popemobile is a media-coined nickname for the specially customised motor vehicles used by the Pope during outdoor public appearances.

Before the advent of the Popemobile, popes were often carried by teams of bearers on an elaborate variant of sedan chair called the The Popemobile was designed to allow the Pope to be more visible when appearing before large crowds. There have been many different designs for Popemobile since Pope John Paul II first used a modified truck to greet the crowds on his first trip to Poland as Pope.

The Pope enters through a rear door and climbs several steps. After the Pope sits in his chair, it is elevated up into the glass 'turret' by a hydraulic lift, allowing the Pope to be more easily seen. In addition to the driver, there is room for one passenger (usually a security agent) in the front of the vehicle. The glass-enclosed rear of the vehicle also has room for two papal aides who can sit in the area in front of the Pope's elevated chair.

The vehicle's security features include bulletproof glass windows and roof and reinforced, armoured side panels and chassis and it has a top speed of 160mph but while in on papal business in Britain the Popemobile. is expected to travel at a more sedate 6mph.

New Season of Dancing With The Stars

Dancing with the stars is probably my LEAST favorite reality show EVER. But here they are ready to announce the dancers for their 11th season. Some of the names rumored are almost painful to imagine shaking their booty in front of the world. The full cast will be announced Monday the 20th.

The new cast of Dancing with the Stars will be announced Monday night during Bachelor Pad on ABC, but as is the tradition, many likely candidates have already been leaked and spoiled.
Here's a quick overview of who may or may not be announced for Dancing with the Stars season 11. (Almost positive) - Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino: The Jersey Shore star could flash his abs all over the DWTS stage, though he should be warned that Maksim Chmerkovskiy is the reigning king of shirtless dancing.; Audrina Patridge: The Hills gal could make two MTV reality stars on this season. She could also be the first person eliminated, if she does make it; Bristol Palin: As if guest starring on The Secret Life of the American Teenager wasn't bad enough, now Bristol could outshine Levi Johnston in the realm of reality TV fame whoring; Florence Henderson: Every season needs a token older contestant, so why not sweet little Carol Brady?; Jennifer Grey: Nobody puts Jennifer in the corner. It's fairly the obvious the only reason Grey would be on this show is because of Dirty Dancing and so that Carrie Ann Inaba can deduct points for a lift when Jennifer's partner (Derek Hough, according to E!Online) helps her have the time of her life. Paris Hilton Facing $35 Million Lawsuit for Wearing Wrong Hair Extensions

What world do I live in? Are you kidding me? A 35 Million dollar lawsuit for HAIR EXTENSIONS??!!! What's next?

Celebrity Paris Hilton on Wednesday was reportedly sued for $35 million for wearing wrong hair extensions, breaching her contract with a company.

People Magazine reported that Hairtech International Inc., which manufactured the Dreamcatchers hair extension line that Hilton used in the beginning of 2007, filed a $35 million lawsuit against the 29-year-old celebrity for wearing a competitor's product.

The company is reportedly seeking 10 times the amount of the contract's value. Furthermore, Hairtech is claiming that Hilton did not show up at a launch party for a new product three years ago because she was in jail.

Sweet Mary Kate

I'm not a huge Mary-Kate Olsen fan. I watched her on Full House with my kids and thought she was cute. I never really gave her life much thought. I can't imagine growing up a child star. Some much stress and pressure to do well so you can line the pockets of all the greedy adults around you. I always have to admire the ones who don't seem to try to attract attention.

From New York post - "Although she's been famous since birth, very little is known about MKO -- mostly due to the fact she went into self-imposed publicity isolation following her final tween film in 2004. A few scant adult roles in "Weeds" and "The Wackness" were interesting choices, but they didn't shed too much light on MK as a person.

That's about to change with the new issue of Marie Claire. See, in order to land the coveted cover (September issues are bibles in the fashion industry) it would seem that a few personal revelations were required. The most notable comes when talking about her "Full House" past.

"I look at old photos of me, and I don't feel connected to them at all… I would never wish my upbringing on anyone," Mary-Kate says of her youth -- which she likens to being a "little monkey performer."

Weeds - My Favorite Show EVER!

I guess weeds has been running for a while now. They are getting ready to start a new season on August 16, 2010. I had no idea what a great show I was missing. I didn't have showtime and I can't remember ever hearing anyone talk about it so I had no reason to try to watch it. Well, I talked my husband into ordering Showtime so I could see the last season of The Tudors which I had gotten hooked on when I order the first 3 seasons on Netflix. When I went through the last Tudors season in three evenings I was in a funk - I love when I fall in love with a TV show - it happens so rarely these days. Usually every new show turns out to be a bunch of rehashed crap. Because the Tudors was such an amazing series I decided to go through the first episode of all of the Showtime series. The first one was Weeds. I watched the first episode and was cracking up, decided to watch the second and I was hooked. I watched all 5 seasons in the past week - now I'm all caught up and ready for the new Season. I think I will record it and watch the whole season at one time instead of in half hour increments. I absolutely love this show. Funny, serious, quirky and just enough sex to get you going.

Furry Fashion! WTF? A little bit goes a long way. Is this a model or an enormous hairball. Besides, last time I checked, fur was not on the pallet of fashion. Maybe in the 50's, but not now. This trend needs to die. Well, fur is dead, but let's not attempt to resurrect it.

Mohr forced ugliness on yet more models during his Spring/Summer 2011 presentation. All of Mohr's models, male and female, sported bald heads and wispy, scraggly beards with their designer dudes. The effect? Completely bizarre and distracting. Who's going to pay attention to the clothing with mugs like these on display?

Sarah Palin Must Be SOOO Excited

Looks like Ms. Palins daughter, Bristol and Baby Daddy Levi are engaged once again. The two told Us magazine before telling Bristol's parents. Todd and Sarah Palin responded with a statement read on the "Today" show Wednesday:

Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what's best for our children. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives.

I learned something new today and I guess I should have known that something like this went on, but I was happily oblivious. I always thought celebrity news came by the way of secret operative type photogs hiding in bushes and lucky civilians who overheard juicy scoops. It kind of ruins it to know that some of these tabloids actually pay girls to go into these hangouts and get the scoop. Here's an interesting scoop from the LA Times

Carrie Underwood Is Tying The Knot!

I didn't even realize that Carrie Underwood was coming close to marriage with her gorgeous hockey playing sweetie, Mike Fisher.

The wedding will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia. The lavish nuptials are reportedly being readied right now, as a large tent has been erected near the idyllic lakeside where Underwood will walk down the aisle. The country music sweetheart and her hockey-playing fiance will spend their first night as husband and wife in the hotel’s Presidential Suite, which features a gourmet kitchen, a private pool and a dining room that can fit up to 16 guests.

Will The New Law & Order LA Cut IT?

I've been a Law & Order freak since it started way back in 1990. I watched every single episode of every single Law & Order at least 3 times (at the VERY least). I know lots of little fun facts about the Law & Order cast - like, Mariska Hargitay (Olivia Benson) is the daughter of the hot actress Jayne Mansfield. Once you know this you can really see the resemblance. I've got to say I'm a little wary of Law & Order taking place in Los Angeles instead of New York. I hate shows that take place in LA it's so fake and boring, to predictable. A different kind of creepy criminal. But, I promise to watch it with an open mind because the minds behind the Law & Order series have a gift - they know how to pull you in and make you care what happens to not only the characters in the show buy anyone who has had to deal with whatever issue is being focused on in that particular show. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope I fall in love. Just, PLEASE, PLEASE don't let me see some hot blond, big boobed DA, Detective or else I will change channels faster than a man offers to change a diaper.

NBC has picked up the new drama “LOLA” as well as renewed “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” for the 2010-11 season. The new “LOLA” (“Law & Order: Los Angeles”) is a procedural crime drama that will follow the theme and storylines similar to the “Law & Order”-brand series on the streets of Los Angeles. The series, from executive producer Dick Wolf and Blake Masters (“Brotherhood”), is a Wolf Films production in association with Universal Media Studios. Casting and pre-production work are continuing.

One of my favorite ways to spend a rainy weekend. Snuggled on the sofa watching an SVU marathon - watch it on DVD and get rid of those irritating commercials.

Lindsay Lohan Gets 90 Days For Probation Violation

Lindsay received 90 days at her probation violation hearing . I feel sorry for her. She is a lost twenty something who doesn't stand a chance of recovering from this destructive path unless someone (like the judge) steps up. It doesn't help matters that people who are supposed to love her and protect her (mom and dad) use her and take advantage of her for their own good. From USA Today:

Lindsay Lohan will spend 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab for blowing off nine alcohol-education classes, a Beverly Hills judge ruled this afternoon."It's like someone who cheats but doesn't think it's cheating if they don't get caught," Judge Marsha Revel said in finding that Lohan had violated the terms of her probation for reckless driving and two DUI charges from 2007. Revel noted several instances over the last few years in which the actress lied about taking drugs and drinking.
A teary Lohan addressed the court before being sentenced. She said that "as far as I knew I was in compliance with my programs."
"I wasn't trying to get special treatment," said the actress, whose credits include Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and Herbie Fully Loaded. "I have to provide for myself. I have to work. Having said that, I did everything to balance my jobs and showing up. I'm not taking this as a joke. It's my life. It's my career. ... I take responsibility for my actions. I've tried to do the best I can. It's been such a long haul, I don't want you to think that I don't respect you."
After she's out of jail, Lohan must do 90 days in a rehab center. She'll surrender in two weeks.

I know everyone has to take responsibility for their own actions and she will be paying the price for hers but I can't help but throw some (or a lot) of the blame on certain people in her life who so obviously only look at for their best interests.

Lindsay, Busy In The Courthouse

Lindsay is busy these days - her new hang out - The Courtroom.

Five people accused of being members of a celebrity theft ring that targeted the homes of stars, including Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, appeared before a judge in Los Angeles, California, on Friday, authorities said.
All pleaded not guilty to burglary, receiving stolen property and conspiracy charges, according to Los Angeles County prosecutors.
The group is accused of stealing more than $3 million in jewelry, designer clothes and accessories from the homes of Hilton, Lohan, Orlando Bloom, Brian Austin-Green and others, said Shiara Davila-Morales, a spokeswoman for the district attorney's office.
Three of the suspects are 19 years old. The others are 20 and 28.

Lindsay also has to attend a probation violation hearing in LA this morning. Let's hope she doesn't have to go to jail, redheads look horrible in that bright orange. According to CNN, "Lindsay Lohan may learn Tuesday whether she's going to jail for allegedly not complying with terms of her probation for a 2007 drunken driving conviction. A judge ruled in May that there was "probable cause to believe (Lohan) is in violation of probation" and ordered a full hearing in Beverly Hills, California.
"I warned her before," Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel said after the actress failed to appear for a May hearing. "She knew it was very serious."

$100 Million - Can You Say Cha Ching?!!!

It seems that Elin will walk away from her marriage approximately $100 million richer.

I don't know if I would take $100 million for the embarrassment she was put through in front of the whole world

As one source with direct knowledge of the terms of the divorce tells TMZ, "She'll be getting close to $100,000,000."

There have been reports Elin would score $750 million, but we have confirmed that figure is wrong. Indeed, as we first reported, Tiger is not even worth $750 million. We're told his net worth is somewhere between $500 and $600 million.

The $100 million is way more than Elin would have received under the prenup.

Sources say Elin will receive child support, but we do not know the specific amount.

As for the $100 million figure ... this is not speculation ... it comes from sources with direct knowledge of the property settlement agreement.

To put this in some perspective, Elin will be getting 10 times what Rachel Uchitel scored from Tiger.
