Hello everyone. We’re sorry for any problems you’ve had downloading this month’s prayer calendar. There was a glitch with the previous calendar, so I had to remove it and link a new calendar to replace the old one. I think subsequently, if you receive a notice through an RSS feed, the link was for the calendar that had been removed. So, I’m adding this post, which hopefully you should get again in your feed, and should be able to access the calendar. Please download the calendar here.

Pray for the CeLT’s ‘Adopt a Brochure’ Program

The CeLT “Adopt-a-Brochure” Project:

When asked what are our primary needs in order to share the Gospel with speakers of the Celtic languages, without hesitation, we always answer with the same thing: (1) Prayer (because the battle for the minds, hearts and souls of these people is spiritual), and (2) People (especially those, who feel the call to join us long-term, both on-field and from home).

We also feel that God would meet these needs from the world-wide Christian community. The first step in this process for us is education, sharing about the Celtic languages people groups and our ministry among them. To facilitate that process, we have translated a general introductory brochure into a number of world languages for distribution among Christians, speaking those languages.

Currently, we have this brochure translated and printed in Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Faroese, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Ukrainian, and Welsh. God has already used this small resource in some powerful ways in order to connect Christians of these languages with our people groups and ministry. However, we feel that we should expose even more world Christians from more languages to the Celtic languages speakers and this ministry among them. However, this further development of new language brochures is costly in time and resources. Here’s where you can help.

If you’d like to help us develop this brochure in one or more of these new languages, you could “adopt” one/some of them. ”Adoption” simply means that you would like to be involved somehow in making sure that the brochure in the language(s) in question is developed, printed, and distributed. What is involved? It could be one or more of the following needs, related to the development of the brochure in a new language: (1) volunteer to help with the translation itself (for speakers of some of these languages); (2) help with sponsoring the actual printing of one or more of the brochures; and/or (3) help with the distribution of the new brochure (or others) among Christians, who speak these languages.

Celtic Vision 2012 – A Missional Faith Journey

Given the success of Celtic Cision 2011 and the ongoing interest in new Celtic Vision trips, the CeLT is sponsoring a Vision Trip experience in September this year for Christians around the world to learn first-hand about the Celtic languages people groups, the vision/strategy that God has given us in our efforts to make Jesus a reality to them in linguistically and culturally meaningful ways, and to have the opportunity to dream and pray about how we can expand our networks and partnerships and move forward together toward this end.
