Things such as the the Trinity and the exact nature of Jesus' being are tough to a) wrap your mind around, and b) explain/teach without descending into that which is considered heresy.

This is not a bad thing, because as an out-worldly being, God might be outside of logic as he is time, as the creator of both.

Some people, esp. theologians of the east, tended to state such actual mysteries (not the "my Calvinism leads me into trouble, so I'll call it a mystery) in negative terms instead of positive ones. Rather than trying to explain the trinity out into the last detail, apophatic theology states what the trinity is not. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negative_theology#In_the_Christian_tradition)

When it comes to the trinity, I say we either limit out boldness to apophatic theology, or accept (and give grace to) flawed models of the trinity.

E.I.: As far as what makes us Persons? From my worldview? Because God made us in his image.

What does that mean?
Obviously no one believe Yahweh looks like us, well not anymore anyway.

E.I.: From yours, I would say we decide as a people/culture. What do we value? Is it Language, Comfort, or reverence for the dead? What if you found out monkeys started to bury their dead?

Language and reverence for the dead both speak towards a high level of cognitive function, which for me is a good indicator of level of "person-ness". I would suggest the great apes be granted some limited set of "human rights" based upon this.
I think I've mentioned it before, but the Great Ape Project seems to be an attempt to make this happen.

I have to say that homosesxuality is very natural. I'm not a homosexual myself, but it doesn't take a genius to look at society's timeline and see that homosexuality has been around since the dawn of time. Also, hasn't anyone else noticed that it also occurs in nature. Someone once told me it's because the animals' brains are different and they're not as complex as human's so they can't make any decisions. He didn't realize that with that statement he proved my point. If animals cannot make their own decisions because they were not as developed mentally as we are, then homosexuality must be natural. If animals cannot choose to be homosexual, then what else is left? Oh that's right, it must be natural and they had no choice to begin with. And have you noticed that in nature, there is no religion to tell them what's right and wrong. They're not forced to live a lie. They don't have to go to gay camps and be brain washed into believing that they aren't gay. No that's just our society where religion has taught people to hate their neighbor if they share different views than yourself. They have taught people to look at someone and judge them based on their beliefs. You say Christianity teaches one to love thy neighbor? I scoff at that idea because all they do is alienate anyone who has different beliefs. I'm for abortion. I say that and you think of me as a blasphempying fool. I say I'm for homosexuality and you think, well you're going to burn in hell for enternity.

Oh, and as for homosexuals becoming heterosexuals and living fantastic normal lives, like people have mentioned before, homosexuals cannot live happily in our society because they have now become alienated. They are scolded for how they live their lives and told they will burn in hell for their sins unless they repent and see the light. I'm sure that being scorned by society will do that to anyone. And I'm sure that having every right they have taken away from them didn't really help their case. So some people who are homosexuals are forced to live under a false pretense as a heterosexual. What kind of a life is that? Just thinking about it makes me utterly disgusted that people in our country can't see that people who live in the "land of the free", can't live their lives freely. It has nothing to do with the bible and everything to do with being unconstitutional and not providing equal rights to all the citizens that inhabit this country and making a minority out of a group of people whose love doesn't lie with the opposite gender, but with the same. Can't people move past all this hatred and see that they are just like everyone else. Who cares how they live their lives, it's no one's business but theirs. And if god actually said that he's against homosexuality(because we can't be too sure that it was he who said it, the bible was written so long ago) then leave that relationship between them and god.

And here's a little thought, if god created man in his image, and there are homosexuals(who I doubt decided one morning they were gay and wanted to be alienated from society), then god must be a little homosexual himself, but seeing as how the bible never said god had a lover, we'll never know now will we?
