I think they really put Miami Museums to shame. They had a diverse collection with Jasper Johns-Warhols-Monet-Pre Columbian Pottery-Asian Collections-Karen Walker- You name it they had it.</div><br /><br /><br /><div>The Houston Stockyards were a sight to see. The bulls were paraded down the street at multiple times of the day. A train that had been running since the 1800's was functional. They even had a wonderful snow-cone stand that featured over 60 flavors. Dill pickle included. As we ate our cones in 2 minutes they were gone, melted in a watery poodle of yum.</div><br /><div>We traveled in the city's only trolley service. It was a 1910 trolley. We saw passed out people on street corners. We took a photograph and then had the native american very upset with us. We did not see the sign. Needless to say my 4 year got very scared. </div><br /><div>We enjoyed really Mexican food from Fuzzy's. Southern bbq. Street corner hotdogs with chili. My brother and sister-in-law took us to a wonderful grocery store called Central Market. I was in love....</div><br /><div>I even had the pleasure of watch Camera Obscura perform in a tiny little place called the loft. No more than 200 people were there and I in the front row. I really should have brought back a cowboy hat.</div><br /><br /><div><a href="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100c317970c-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="IMG_3340" border="0" class="at-xid-6a00e008d7be50883401157100c317970c " src="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100c317970c-320pi" style="border-top-width: 5px; border-right-width: 5px; border-bottom-width: 5px; border-left-width: 5px; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: black; border-right-color: black; border-bottom-color: black; border-left-color: black; " title="IMG_3340" /></a><a href="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100c40b970c-pi"><img alt="IMG_3256" border="0" class="at-xid-6a00e008d7be50883401157100c40b970c " src="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100c40b970c-320pi" style="border-top-width: 5px; border-right-width: 5px; border-bottom-width: 5px; border-left-width: 5px; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: black; border-right-color: black; border-bottom-color: black; border-left-color: black; " title="IMG_3256" /></a> <a href="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be508834011571f58a14970b-pi" style="display: block; "><img alt="IMG_3258" border="0" class="at-xid-6a00e008d7be508834011571f58a14970b " src="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be508834011571f58a14970b-320pi" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; border-top-width: 5px; border-right-width: 5px; border-bottom-width: 5px; border-left-width: 5px; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: black; border-right-color: black; border-bottom-color: black; border-left-color: black; " title="IMG_3258" /></a> <a href="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be508834011571f58b90970b-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="IMG_3124" border="0" class="at-xid-6a00e008d7be508834011571f58b90970b " src="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be508834011571f58b90970b-320pi" style="border-top-width: 5px; border-right-width: 5px; border-bottom-width: 5px; border-left-width: 5px; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: black; border-right-color: black; border-bottom-color: black; border-left-color: black; " title="IMG_3124" /></a> <a href="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100d19a970c-pi" style=" float: left;"><img alt="IMG_3346" border="0" class="at-xid-6a00e008d7be50883401157100d19a970c " src="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100d19a970c-320pi" style="border-top-width: 5px; border-right-width: 5px; border-bottom-width: 5px; border-left-width: 5px; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: black; border-right-color: black; border-bottom-color: black; border-left-color: black; " title="IMG_3346" /></a> <a href="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100d2a5970c-pi" style=" "><img alt="IMG_3344" border="0" class="at-xid-6a00e008d7be50883401157100d2a5970c " src="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100d2a5970c-320pi" style="border-top-width: 5px; border-right-width: 5px; border-bottom-width: 5px; border-left-width: 5px; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: black; border-right-color: black; border-bottom-color: black; border-left-color: black; " title="IMG_3344" /></a> <a href="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100d3ff970c-pi" style=" float: left;"><img alt="IMG_3286" border="0" class="at-xid-6a00e008d7be50883401157100d3ff970c " src="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be50883401157100d3ff970c-320pi" style="border-top-width: 5px; border-right-width: 5px; border-bottom-width: 5px; border-left-width: 5px; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: black; border-right-color: black; border-bottom-color: black; border-left-color: black; " title="IMG_3286" /></a> <br /></div></div>

So this is my Plymouth Rock meal so to speak. My mother has worked hard each year to feed our ever expanding waistlines. Our family is quite small considering my parents divorced, many moons ago. </p><p>Secondly, many family members live in other faraway parts, and, I guess we are just a scattered tribe. Initially I knew what my menu would entail since my husband helped me formulate it. But I was thinking what direction I wanted to take in decorating my table. I did not really like any of the Thanksgiving options. Most were very dark and dreary. I did not have a fortune to spend at West Elm or Anthropologie. So I began thinking and thinking and honestly anyone that knows me knows I am one big polkadot. Most of my dresses are of polkadot nature I cannot escape them.</p><p /><p>It took me two weeks to find my settings and when I walked into an undisclosed store I found them.Everything was absolutely gorgeous and when I went to get my camera and going to take pictures of my lovely polka dotted table with a simple flower display in the center. To my dismay, my husband began digging into his grub- soon followed by my son so I did not want to bore you with bones and gravy stains</p><br /><div>Alas, close your eyes and imagine my pretty table with my simple descriptions. I bought these amazing lucite - see through plates and serving bowls that had big red and green polka dots. In the center I placed in a long glas<span style="font-size: 14px; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; ">s vase - </span><span style="font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "><font size="+3"><strong><span style="font-size: 14px; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; ">Shasta Daisies also called, </span></strong></font><em><span style="font-size: 14px; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; ">Chrysanthemum maximum</span></em><span style="line-height: normal; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; font-size: 14px; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; "> (Asteraceae) it's cousin being the Ox-Eyed Daisy.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: Times; font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: Times; font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px;">My husband and I shared duties in the kitchen. This collection feels very much like the Umbrellas of Cherbourg (<span lang="fr" xml:lang="fr"><em><strong>Les Parapluies de Cherbourg) </strong></em>a musical film circa 1964<em>. </em></span>It was <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_director" title="Film director">directed</a> by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Demy" title="Jacques Demy">Jacques Demy</a>, and starred <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine_Deneuve" title="Catherine Deneuve">Catherine Deneuve</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nino_Castelnuovo" title="Nino Castelnuovo">Nino Castelnuovo</a>. Christmas.  It's got a resort vibe instead of a midwinter look, which
means you have two options:</p><p style="font-size: 15px; font-family: Trebuchet MS;">If you live in a sunny land grab an umbrella and sing around your neighborhood. And if you live a cold area where under your trenchcoat and sing on the subway. Either choice you'll be stylin a tres romantic look. As for me I'll be dressed in these outfits and popping some popcorn and watching my Umbrellas of Cherbourg instead.</p><div style="margin-left: 240px;"><img alt="" src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/JEAN-P%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg" /><img alt="" src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/JEAN-P%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-1.jpg" /><img alt="" src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/JEAN-P%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-2.jpg" /><a href="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be508834010535db5b05970b-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Thakoon" border="0" class="at-xid-6a00e008d7be508834010535db5b05970b " src="http://grandmapugga.typepad.com/.a/6a00e008d7be508834010535db5b05970b-800wi" title="Thakoon" /></a>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>I love peace and tranquility. Buddha is my middle name though not for obvious reasons but the amount of insurging drama has escalated recently. The drama I was referring to was at work. My supervisor has a posse, and this four women make life miserable for everyone. The saddest thing about the situation is everyone fears them because they are so underhanded. People in all the departments whisper all the atrocious history these women have built up. It really feels like it's war-time here and everyone is trying to run from the enemy.

When I began in my department the clique tried recruiting me to mistreat others but, my personal ethics could not allow me. I simply kept quiet. Trying not to pass judgement and trying to be perceived as neutral, though if directly asked I would give me real opinion. After they got rid of their last "opponent". Insane how grown women still behaved like some groupie from high school. They created their enemies, simply because they were lazy, did not produce work and then wanted to go around blaming others and talking bad all day. It seemed like a perpetual water cooler for them. How bloated them must feel?

Going back to not doing their work whether on purpose or not they would avalanche me with last minute requests some almost impossible to fufill but I'd always manage to get it done. They would kinda seem happy to try and overwhelm me with contradictory orders, or lots he said she said but noone wants to send written instructions. My answer to all of that...a new maxim will be take a deli ticket. Puhlease..and while you are at it multiple xanax mix with champagne and jump off the nearest roof.</p>

<p><strong>Spock</strong> (aka <strong>Mr. Spock</strong>) is a main character in the original <em><a title="Star Trek: The Original Series" href="/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Original_Series">Star Trek</a></em> TV series, and one of the most enduring characters from American 1960s television. He is one of the only aliens in the permanent cast: half-<a title="Vulcan (Star Trek)" href="/wiki/Vulcan_%28Star_Trek%29">Vulcan</a>, half-Human, and serves as the science officer and first officer of the <a title="USS Enterprise (NCC-1701)" href="/wiki/USS_Enterprise_%28NCC-1701%29">USS <em>Enterprise</em></a>, under <a title="Captain (Star Trek)" href="/wiki/Captain_%28Star_Trek%29">Captain</a> <a title="James T. <p>His personal struggle between the Vulcan logical self and his human emotional self is the centerpiece of the character and created some evocative drama. He was originally portrayed by actor <a title="Leonard Nimoy" href="/wiki/Leonard_Nimoy">Leonard Nimoy</a> (except for brief scenes of a much younger Spock in two later movies) and is currently being portrayed by both actor <a title="Zachary Quinto" href="/wiki/Zachary_Quinto">Zachary Quinto</a> and Nimoy.<a href="#_note-0">[1]</a>. <p>The <span style="color: #cc0000;font-size: 1.2em;">Easiest </span>and most appealing was the <span style="color: #cc0000;">life long learning path</span>. <span style="font-size: 1.2em;">Being a lifelong learning </span>student has always been <span style="color: #cc0000;font-size: 1.2em;">appealing</span> to me. </p>

<p><img src="http://www.uis.edu/journal/beyond/Images/nerds.jpg" /></p>

<p>The path to self evolution and loosing appendages seems quite freeing. Just about a month ago I lost a gallbladder and I feel so much lighter. Being an avid <span style="color: #cc0066;">Confucius </span>devotee, not to be mixed up up as a <span style="color: #cc0066;">confusionist </span>:P. The art of learning can be broken down into examples, fairytales, moral stories. </p>

<p><span face="Arial"><u><em><span style="color: #cc3366;">In the Analects of Confucius</span></em></u>, </span><span face="Arial">analysis of some key terms and their relevant passages, become quite a recipe where: <span style="color: #990033;"><strong><em>li</em> </strong></span>(the rites or observing ritual propriety), <strong><em><span style="color: #990033;">ren</span></em> </strong>(human-heartedness or authoritative conduct), <em><span style="color: #990033;"><strong>junzi</strong></span></em> (exemplary person), and <em><span style="color: #990033;"><strong>yi</strong></span></em> (rightness, morality, or appropriateness) .</span></p>

<p><span face="Arial">The most difficult for me would have to be the technology. I am a <em><span style="font-size: 1.2em;">child of the seventie's - </span></em></span><span face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 1.2em;">(LOS SETENTAS)</span> though I never stepped foot in Studio 54 and stumble while rollerskating, </span></p>

<p><span face="Arial">sometimes it takes a while for me to read and accept new forms of learning which involve technology.</span></p>

<p><span face="Arial">However I am taking the <span style="font-size: 1.4em;">step forward</span> in embracing the tools to learn something new <span style="font-size: 1.4em;">and leap into the unknown.</span></span></p>
