At all masses this weekend, Fr. Mark read/will read a letter from Bishop Choby that mentions this link. It concerns protecting conscience rights in health care. The Bishop is urging Catholics to take action.

Room In The Inn

Thanks so much to everyone who signed up last weekend to help with Room In The Inn. We now have all of our drivers, youth aids, cook coordinators and cooks but we still need a few Innkeepers. If you can help, or if you would like to stay the night with your student who needs service hours, please do not hesitate to volunteer! The following dates are available.

February 17^th – 1 Innkeeper

March 2^nd – 2 Innkeepers

March 9^th – 2 Innkeepers

Room in the Inn Help Still Needed

Thanks so much to everyone who signed up to help with Room In The Inn for February and March. We were able to get all of our cook coordinators and most of our cooks. We still need a few drivers and 9 Innkeepers. We will have sign ups again the weekend of January 28^th, so bring your calendar to church and sign up for a Friday night of friendship and fellowship. Don’t forget….you will also get a FREE and delicious dinner!!!

ROOM IN THE INN UPDATE

The Room In The Inn program continues to provide service to ten guests each Friday night with the comfort of a home cooked meal, warm place to rest, and social interactions that show respect to all our guests as a child chosen by God. The success of the program would not be possible without the volunteers of all ages who set-up, coordinate and cook meals, donate items needed, transport guests, or serve as innkeepers. A SPECIAL THANK YOU goes out to all of our volunteers that helped in the months of November and December.

We would also like to say thank you to everyone who donated items and monetary gifts for the success of our holiday gift drive. Because of you, we were fortunate to provide our guests with a backpack full of items that might make their life a little less difficult. Clothing items included sweat shirts, sweat pants, winter hats, scarves, gloves, underwear, t-shirts, and socks. Toiletry items included razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, and lotion. Additional items were flashlights with batteries, playing cards, reading material, pens, notepads, and stamped envelopes. Each of our guests also received a Dollar General gift card. YOUR GENEROSITY IS APPRECIATED!

If you are interested in getting involved, it is not too late. Room In the Inn continues until the March 9, 2012. We still need volunteers to serve as innkeepers and also to transport guests. If you are nervous or unsure of volunteering please, talk to one of our many volunteers or the coordinators for this ministry. Anyone would be more than happy to go over any questions you may have. We will continue to accept donations for clothing items, also. We especially need hoodies, t-shirts, underwear (our guests love boxer shorts), thermals, winter gloves, and hats. Room In The Inn Sign Ups Continue

Room In The Inn will be having Sign ups on January 14^th and 15^th for the remaining dates in February and March. If you would like to help and haven’t had a chance, please stop by our table in the vestibule to put your name down. We currently still need help with the following dates coming up:

January 6^th – Meal Coordinator and 2 Drivers January 20^th 2 Drivers and 1 Innkeeper January 27^th Meal Coordinator

Please note that our youth aide positions have all been filled for 2011, however, you may earn service hours by being a youth innkeeper with your parent/guardian. If you are interested in helping or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us about this wonderful ministry

Christmas Morning – Masses at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.

New Year’s schedule will be our regular weekend schedule – Saturday at 5; Sunday and 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

A reminder that every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:00 pm during the advent season, we will be hearing confessions in the church. This will be a great opportunity for anyone who has been away from the church and would like to come back home.
