Jesus told the woman at the well, “you worship you know not what” That is where many people are today. They worship God in the spirit of Babylon, after the manner of the heathen. It is written not to learn the heathen ways.
Why do the heathen rage? Why do the people imagine a vain thing? Because they are not taught but rather poisoned from their spiritual birth to practice the worship of the heathen.

As they did so, now they do, men turn their backs to the Lord and worship the sun in the east. They assemble on the morning called Easter, the day of the goddess of fertility. They use the emblem of life the egg. They continue to incorporate the rabbit because it is the most fertile creature. Then they mix a few lies about Jesus, his death and resurrection in there and serve it up to the people as the worship of God.

Jesus said he would be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights even as Jonah was in the whales belly. Yet to assimilate the crucifixion into the worship of Ishtar,
(in Babylonian and Assyrian mythology, the queen of heaven and goddess of fertility. Tammuz was her consort. She was worshiped throughout Southwest Asia under various names, including the Phoenician Astarte. Translates Easter)
men teach you he was killed on their good Friday and rose 1 ½ days later on Sunday morning. So this begs the question, who lied? Jesus or all these preachers? I say the preachers lied.
All the preachers preaching the Easter Sunday morning serenade did slip up and tell the truth yesterday, even if it was by accident. You recall how, in reading about the Lord’s resurrection, they read the place in the scripture, “He is not here”? That was the truth, he was not there and God does not honor worship based on heathen lies.
Last, think about the man with the keys to the kingdom, Simon Peter. You remember him? He is the one who first said, repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ?
Yes that Peter.
Study the 12th chapter of Acts, “Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth [his] hands to vex certain of the church.
2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
4 And when he had apprehended him, he put [him] in prison, and delivered [him] to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.”
Now he had killed James and was about to kill Peter for preaching Jesus Christ, him crucified and that he rose again. Are you so naïve you think they were celebrating the same?
Jesus said it all, you worship you know not what, but we know what we worship…
God bless you to run to the light.

All mankind comes to age and an awareness of her/his position with God. In this time we understand we are lost and unacceptable with God. Now many feel inclined to make a journey toward God. We seek to be acceptable and pleasing in his sight. We want to be ready in order to participate in that first resurrection. This is in hope of eternal life.

That being said how does one progress?

Please give scriptural commandment and demonstration.

Remember, the command and the example from the Bible.

Now in fairness I will expound on my own belief.

In the likeness of his death I repented of and died out to my sins. I did this as commanded by first John Baptist, Jesus and Peter. Then I call to record Paul speaking in Acts 17 where he said, but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.

In the likeness of his burial, I was baptized in immersion water baptism in the name of Jesus. I did this because Jesus said, “he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved”… and again, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: and again in Luke Jesus said, “Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem”. Now this remission of sins was described by Peter on Pentecost as baptism. When the apostles put into practice the things Jesus commanded them, they demonstrated an understanding that Jesus is the name of every known facet of God. They knew there was no other name under heaven by which they could be saved. So in application they did not baptize a candidate in the titles father, son or Holy Spirit. They used the name of God that he first bestowed upon the Son and his body the church.

In the likeness of his resurrection I received the Holy Ghost the same as did all the church recorded in the scripture. As the men who accompanied Peter to Cornelius’ house in that they, “heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.” I was heard to also speak as the Spirit gave me utterance and in addition to this great act of God I received from God Joy unspeakable and glory. As Jesus said, so it is, I did receive power when the Holy Ghost fell on me. I did and do walk in the newness of life a new creature in Christ Jesus. (Yes Lord! I am having to wipe my eyes here, this thing is not in word only but in the Spirit also.) I was given power over my own sins and weakness. By his power I forever threw away my habits and evil speech, my evil lust and hate.

I could give more scripture and go forward to affirm what I have stated, but in this case I am showing why I obeyed that form of salvation and now it is your turn.

What did you do and why?
Lord bless all to walk in the light

No thanks, I tried to serve other gods.

I am often dismayed by the servitude that, an otherwise free, people will subject themselves to. A god is defined in one sense as the object of your devotion or any person or thing to which excessive attention is given: money was his god. Based on such a definition there are many gods. This short note will demonstrate some of the gods served by many.

Mankind will give excessive attention to: tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, drugs of various types, infidelity, fornication, sports, false religion, welfare and fraternities both secret and open.

I do believe the most expensive and destructive god is vanity. The more you worship it, the higher the cost and destruction. It can be held responsible for many reckless decisions. It is what caused the credit industry to take advantage of people buying homes, cars, toys, vacations and many such things they could not afford. Now many are servants to the lender.

In the face of mass bondage described above, another cluster of gods are coming forth with alleged deliverance from the credit gods. Guess what? You got it; in many cases they are also looking for servants. In the end every god seems to get the lifelong labor out of the masses of people, yet the God in whose hand our breath is held gets very little servitude.

I think I will be happy with such as I have, accept my losses, be grateful for my gains and receive my blessings with thanksgiving. I will walk before the Lord all the days of my appointed time with fear and trembling. Serving God from the heart, with understanding of who my one master is and how to please him.

Be blessed to know the one and only true and wise God our savior, Jesus Christ.
