Another mixtape in the ALL BLACK EFREYTHING series drops today, and has been a long time coming, #realtalk. After several months of editing and starving the streets, the full 60 minutes and some change has finally arrived!

Now I know I hate to be late with things, but this mix forced me to get my equipment setup better. I'm not a perfectionist by any means, but I critique my work harder than anyone else.

So who's on this mix this time around? Well I put tracks from Slaughterhouse, and I got some Busta, along with Camron, Lupe Fiascoe, Tyga, and a mix of underground and up top Hip Hop. Yes I mentioned Tyga for those of you born in the mid 90s. But I got mad love for everyone.

Lupe Fiasco Speaks On Chicago Violence

The "outcast" of Hip Hop, Lupe Fiasco, had a recent interview by The Source. Lupe expresses his thoughts on the 300 plus murders over the summer in Chicago, and the violence amongst the gangs and youth. Watch the interview here for yourself.

I'm not one of those people to criticize what's going on in Chicago, but I can ask one question? How can Hip Hop as a culture bring peace to the streets? Is it lack of programs to prevent violence? Or is it the county or city that has not stepped in with an efficient plan. This ain't back in the the day where we can break dance out issues like Electric Boogaloo.

For 300 people gone in one summer and Chicago is not the murder capital, there's gotta be a new way to bring peace to where there is hell. Tell me what are some ideas or things ypu have seen how Hip Hop has brought peace.

Rock The Bells In the Bay Area!!!

"Rock The Bells 2012 (in Montainview, Cali) was one of my best Hip Hop festivals ever!!" -DJ OHH!

Looking back on what an incredible-well put together festival with a buffet of Hip Hop performances from the legendary naughty By Nature,Method Man and Redman, Prodigy and future artists such as J Cole, Yelawolf, Dom Kennedy just to name a few. There's something to be said about how the Hip Hop culture can be wide-spread for all people no matter what our differences. Here I was in the midst of the #BayArea screening what they call Hip Hop, no matter if the artist was regional or recognized world-wide. The crowd loved it, even though hypothetically 95% of the performers shouted out "bay area" to get the crowd's buy-in.

Rock the Bells Festival-36 Chamber Stage

I got less than a few days for the Rock The Bells Festival in Mouontainview, CA on August 25 and 26th. I am gased up and ready to see some legendary and new comers in the Hip Hop game. The bill is so serioous this year from Ice Cube to Wu Block, Nas, Common, Big Daddy Kane, Method-Man and Redman, and a ton more. Even the big homie DMX will be performing. Below is a small clip of what to expect as the Guerilla Union presents the 36 Chamber stage, which is hosted by the RZA. The 36 Chamber stage area will include some other interesting elements such as chess-boxing session, music, multimedia a Karate session, an exclusive RZA booking reading and much more.

Nas Speaks On 'The Source's Top 50 Lyricist List', Longevity & More On MSNBC’s The Ed Show

The Legendary, one of the illest lyricist of all time, Nas was recognized by the Source Magazine as #2 out of 50 emcees dead/alive.

In the video clip below Michael E. Dyson interviews Nas on receiving the accolade on MSNBC, and speaks about his continuous passion for Hip Hop and a little of his personal life.

The big homie Nas has always been an inspiration to me since his debut album Illmatic, and he always was my top 5 dead or alive. As a youngster playing his music I grew up just listening to it at leisure, but I understand more of his message as an adult now and the messages then are still relevant to the times today.

"GET UP" is what I woke up to this morning as I read through my emails via blackberry playbook. I had a flagged email from @BrianJamesMusic via twitter-world and I checked him out.

I hit play and the production from the first trumpet note down to the percussion on the drums was tight and synonymous with high-quality. And to top it off the message was positive for today's Hip Hop culture.

Now I know I announced on twitter that I will release on June 5th, but I wanted to ensure that the quality of what I was dropping was tight. Not to mention I got a new mic for recording. :-)

So what's the lineup you ask?

My Era of Hip Hop is based on a simple old school (90s old school) mix of raw uncut records. DJ OHH-Original Hip Hop, brings you back to the time of raw talented emcees that just made you feel real—as oppose to what you feel now when you listen to music. Not to be confused or sarcastic, but back then you can relate to an emcee when he only killed other emcees on the mic! Nowadays, emcees rap about how many they killed with the ooze/shoot missile launchers—yeah right--on Call of Duty. LOL…

Nonetheless, I really like this song; says the opinionated guy typing this. It has substance of having fun, and Denzil Porter lyrically draws a new audience that are drooling for a cool one-off song that is daring.
