The first mobile device with Google Android platform has finally been launched by T-Mobile. The G1 is manufactured by HTC in taiwan. I will come only with T-Mobile Locked. It support 3G as well as Wi-Fi network. It has a large touch screen, a sliding full querty keyboard and 3Megapixel camera without video recording as well as zoom. It also has an accelerometer. It has an inbuilt browser named Chrome lite, it also support search, gmail and youtube. More of its feature include GPS navigation and Bluetooth connections. Microsoft launches Windows Embedded NavReady 2009 GPS operating system

Not content with dominating the PC and smartphone market in the realm of operating systems, Microsoft has apparently now set its sights on PNDs. Today the folks in Redmond announced a new OS aimed directly at GPS units, dubbed Windows Embedded NavReady 2009. The software is based on Windows Embedded CE, and combines navigation tools enriched with Live Search, MSN Direct, and Windows SideShow integration, coupled with an emphasis on Bluetooth connectivity. The company says that the system is shipping to OEMs and developers as we speak, which will yield consumer devices in time for the 2008 holiday season.

The lucky chaps over at Boy Genius Report have managed to get their hands all over Sony Ericsson's latest and greatest -- the hotly anticipated Xperia X1. Early word is that the 800 x 480 screen, optical joystick, and speedy HSDPA data are all very welcome, but the keyboard (which looks like it would be a joy to type on) leaves a lot to be desired. Of course, the OS should come as no surprise, and they don't seem to have any shots of Sony's "panel interface," so for now you'll have to make do with some nice looks at the exteriors of the device. Kensington has just unloaded a slew of new "back to school" items on the world -- luckily for you, only about three of them are interesting. The first item worth your precious time is the ShareCentral ($39.99 - $79.99), a series of USB / peripheral hubs that allow you to share printers, scanners, or other USB devices amongst several computers without the typical mountain of cables. The other items of interest are the new $59.99 SlimBlade Bluetooth mouse, which is -- you guessed it -- a Bluetooth mouse / presentation remote, and the $39.99 Ci95m Wireless Mouse, a 2.4GHz input device with a "nano receiver" and rubberized exterior. Both mice are available now, the ShareCentral will be available at the end of the month.

Microsoft patent application reveals "VEDa" multifunction handheld with slide-out keyboard

We can't say we know exactly what Microsoft has in mind with this patent application for a mobile device with a slide-out keyboard, flip-up screen, and a numeric keypad, but apparently it's based around the idea that users won't have to understand the inner functions of a computer if provided with enough hardware controls. According to the application, "in device mode, the computing system truly assumes the look and feel of a less intimidating multi-media device, rather than that of a sometimes more intimidating computer." Similarly, the keypad lets you simply start dialing to use the phone -- all very well and good, but we've got a feeling most people would rather figure out how to use a smaller handheld than cart this monster around.

PSP firmware 4.00 due "soon," adds Google search to XMB

There's no indication of an exact release date just yet, but word just dropped on the official PlayStation blog that the PSP will be getting a boost to firmware version 4.00 "soon." That'll bring with it the addition of Google search directly form the XMB interface, which Sony says "replicates the Google Internet search experience." Apart from that somewhat notable upgrade, the only other new feature they're talking about at the moment is the ability to change the viewing speed during playback of videos stored on a Memory Stick. Not exactly the upgrade we would have guessed for a milestone like 4.00, but we can always hope Sony has a couple of surprises up its sleeve.

iPhone 3G is finally official, starts at $199, available July 11th

It's been a long, leak-filled wait, but Apple finally took the wraps off its 3G iPhone. Thinner edges, full plastic back, flush headphone jack, and the iPhone 2.0 firmware -- Apple's taking a lot of the criticisms to heart from the first time around. Obviously 3G is at the forefront, but they're also making sure it's available all over internationally, works with enterprises, runs 3rd party apps... and does it all for cheaper. Apple claims its 3G speeds trounce the competition, with pageloads 36% faster than the N95 and Treo 750 -- and of course it completely trounces the old EDGE data speeds.

Battery life isn't getting put out to pasture though, with 300 hours of standby, 8-10 hours of 2G talk, 5 hours of 3G talk, 7 hours of video and 24 hours of audio. GPS is also a go. Apple is using A-GPS, which supplements regular satellite GPS data with info from cellular towers for faster location. (WiFi data is also worked into the mix, which should give users a pretty solid lock on where the heck they are on this planet.) Unfortunately, as expected there's no front-facing cam, and while its edges are thinner than before it's still about a millimeter thicker at the center (12.3mm over 11.6mm before). Apple hopes to launch in 70 countries this year, with the black 8GB going for $199 and 16GB for $299 in black or white. (Both price points require a contract, of course.) Apple will be hitting the 22 biggest markets, including the US, on July 11th. More info after the break.

Update: Just bought an iPhone? Listen up: "Customers who purchased a 2.5G iPhone on or after May 27 and want to swap it out for a new iPhone will be able to do so without incurring an additional handset charge for the new device. They will of course need to turn in their 2.5G iPhone." And for the rest of you, AT&T says there's no way to buy it without agreeing to a contract. So sorry.

Sony's new DR-BT140Q A2DP cans look to be Japan-only for the moment, but that won't stop us from pausing a moment to take a peek. Apparently they get about 12 hours battery life, and their 30mm drivers have a frequency response of 16Hz - 24KHz. White, pink, black, or silver, which will it be?
