Abortion at Root of Much of America’s Ills

Much of the cultural and economic decay facing America can be traced to the more than 50 million abortions performed since the 1972 Roe v. Wade decision, Rush Limbaugh says.

And the current push for legal status for illegal immigrants is a result of needing to replace the aborted, Limbaugh said.

“Fifty-two million taxpayers haven’t been born, is the way Washington looks at it,” Limbaugh said on his radio show on Friday. “They don’t look at it morally. They don’t look at it in any kind of cultural way or any kind of cultural impact. They just say … we have 52 million fewer people paying taxes. We gotta replace ‘em. Hello, amnesty.”

But beyond that, abortion has had a role in destroying society, Limbaugh said.

Most people see abortion simply as a woman’s right to choose, he said, but the impact has been much wider. “It’s had an impact on crime. It’s had a profound impact on our politics. It is at the root of our cultural rot and decay.”

Limbaugh said no one wants to accept responsibility for his or her actions anymore. “And I’m not talking about the women,” he said. “I’m talking the overall effect of a society having literally no problem with eliminating 52 million of its citizens. That can’t be good.”

Limbaugh noted that Americans still feel guilt over slavery, yet aren’t bothered by abortion.

“I think it is the cause of so much that seems to be inexplicable to people,” he said. “Why are 10-year-olds shooting each other to death in Chicago? Why is our society so permissive, anything goes, the more ribald, the better? The more honorable, the more boring it is said to be.

Sweden Now Rape Capital of the World Due to Islamic Immigration

Thanks to the staggering rise of Muslim immigrants, sexual assaults have increased 500% in the Scandinavian country.

Is this how we are supposedly “enriched” by diversity?

Who has the highest number of rapes in the world?

The title sadly goes to Sweden, which now sees one out of every four Swedish women being the victim of rape.
Is this the result of the rapid influx of Muslim immigrants who continue to form a larger percentage of the Swedish population?

With Muslims represented in as many as 77 percent of the rape cases and a major increase in rape cases paralleling a major increase in Muslim immigration, the wages of Muslim immigration are proving to be a sexual assault epidemic by a misogynistic ideology.

The escalation of rape in Sweden is so bad that in July of last year there were an average of five rapes a day reported in Stockholm. Think about that for a minute; five women being raped a day in a modern civilized city. This isn’t Afghanistan or Mexico we’re talking about; it’s Sweden.

The fact that the quantity of rapes is increasing due to the increase of Muslim immigrants is in itself disturbing. As of 2008, Sweden’s rape statistics were up to 53.2 per 100,000 population. Sadly, they are most likely higher as the Muslim population continues to grow without any willingness to assimilate into Swedish society.

The only way to fix such a problem is either halt immigration altogether, or to bring down the law on Muslim immigrants who are unwilling to obey. However, such actions force Swedish officials to recognize the root of the problem – Islam. And we all know how government officials react to that.

Six teenage Muslim boys put on trial for the gang rape of a 15-year-old Swedish girl represent a rainbow of Muslim diversity. There are Turks, Arabs and Africans.So naturally after the trial, the judge threw the book at them the way only a Liberal Swedish judge can throw the book at Muslim immigrants who are contributing to the country’s rich diversity.

Five of the teens were found guilty of aggravated rape by the Solna District Court on Friday, with the sixth guilty of attempted aggravated gang rape.

Five of the rapist were only sentenced with 100 hours of community service each, oh and the liberal Swedish Judge ordered the Muslim rapist to pay 55,000 kronor ($8,500) each in damages to the victim.

The UN ironically ranks Sweden highly when it comes to women’s rights. Unfortunately the right not to be gang raped by group of feral Muslim immigrants isn’t one of those rights.

TWA Flight 800 Investigators Claim the Official Crash Story Is a Lie

There is information that 100 surface-to-air missiles were available to Middle East terrorists about one year before the downing of TWA flight 800. Bill Clinton was president on that fateful night, TWA Flight 800, with 230 people on board, exploded just 10 miles off the coast of Long Island. FAA air traffic controllers saw an unknown object “merge” with the doomed 747 seconds before it exploded and rushed the tape to the White House.

Hundreds of people saw what the controllers did from the ground. FBI witness No. 73, an aviation buff, watched a “red streak” with a “light gray smoke trail” move up toward the airliner, and then go “past the right side and above the aircraft before arcking [sic] back down toward the aircrafts [sic] right wing.” She even reported the actual breakup sequence before the authorities figured it out on their own.

A new film claims the official government report on the crash of TWA Flight 800 in 1996 is an elaborate fabrication, but the most shocking part of the story is that charges are being leveled by some of the very investigators who put the report together. Six experts who appear in the film were members of the National Transportation Safety Board investigation team that concluded the crash was an accident, but they now claim they were silenced by their superiors. The movies, “TWA Flight 800″ will debut on EPIX TV next month, on the 17-year anniversary of the crash.

TWA Flight 800 was en route from JFK Airport in New York to Paris, France, when it exploded and crashed off the coast of Long Island, killing all 230 people on board. From the very beginning, there were some who speculated that the plane was the victim of a terrorist attack, leading the FBI to conduct its own criminal investigation. Among the possibilities that were suggested as the cause were a bomb in the cargo hold, or an anti-aircraft missile. Several witnesses even claimed they saw an object or streak of light that looked liked a missile or rocket moving toward the plane before it exploded.

The final NTSB reported said that faulty wiring connected to a central fuel tank caused a blast that destroyed the fuesalage, however, there were still many skeptics and conspiracy theorists who have long doubted that official story. In one particularly famous example, Pierre Salinger, a former Press Secretary for President John Kennedy and reporter for ABC News, claimed he’d seen proof that the U.S. Navy shot down the plane and then covered it up.

Now, those theories are likely to get a new airing, thanks to accident investigators who worked on the TWA 800 case, but say they were not allowed to speak up at the time of the official report. The experts include NTSB and TWA accident investigators, who say they are only able to speak up now that they are retired. According their statements in the film, they believe the official explanation is wrong and the damage was caused by an explosion that came from outside the plane.

The filmmakers won’t speculate on what could have caused such an explosion, and haven’t yet offered up evidence to support their theory (you’ll have to watch on July 17), but they are asking the NTSB to re-open the investigation. Whether or not that happens, or even if a follow-up reaches the same conclusions as the original, this new film will ensure that the alternate theories and claims up a cover will probably never be put to rest.

Obama in Berlin: No Ronald Reagan

President Obama’s speech today, June 19, at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin inevitably invites comparisons with the speech given by President Ronald Reagan on June 12, 1987. Surely, no one in this publicity savvy White House could have missed that point.

The backdrop of the famous monument, the topic, the cheering crowds of Berliners, were all tailor-made for presidential legacy building. It has to be said, though, that, as much as the Germans adore Obama, in substance the speech far from reached the gravitas and drama of Reagan’s famous line, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

As Reagan stood in Berlin 26 years ago, the city was an island of freedom in an ocean of Communist oppression. Calmly and firmly, he demanded that the Soviet leader allow the people of Berlin, and all of Germany, to choose their own fate, their own political leadership.

For an American President to make such a bold and direct appeal was unheard of at the time, far too confrontational for a foreign policy establishment that had operated on a policy of containment and accommodation with the Soviet Union for decades. When the Wall actually fell in 1989, and as East Berliners exuberantly streamed into the West, it was in no small part due to Reagan’s refusal to accept their oppression as inevitable.

Today, President Obama gave a slight nod—too slight—to President Reagan and to President Kennedy, who gave his “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech there in 1963. Stating that “I am not the first American President to come to this gate,” Obama proclaimed that “I am proud to stand on its Eastern side to pay tribute to the past.” Well, yes . . . and? Obama could—literally—not have stood where he did today, had his predecessors not opposed the Communist East German government.

Reagan’s speech was a specific tribute to West Germany’s post-war economic miracle and to the desire for political freedom that helped West Germans overcome the legacy of Nazi Germany and the Communist threat from the East. It contained the promise that the East Germans would, too, be able to do so in a united Germany.

President Obama, by contrast, used only the first third of the speech to talk about Germany, covering thousands of years of development, culture, and philosophy in a bit of potted history. In the course of this race through the ages, the President did manage to pay tribute to the Berlin Airlift and the famous Berlin “candy bomber” Gail Halvorson, who was on the stage with Obama. (Better late than never, one supposes. When the veterans of the airlift celebrated the 60th anniversary of the event in Berlin in 2009, no one in the Obama White House was even remotely interested in participating, and in the end, Vice President Biden was persuaded to address the airlift heroes by video link-up.)

The remainder of Obama’s speech was essentially the President’s stump campaign speech, touching on global warning, arms reduction with the Russians, and closing Guantanamo Bay. These, it might be noted, are not issues that will serve to strengthen the cause of freedom—quite the opposite.

F-35 Survives

During markup of the National Defense Authorization Act, many feared that funding for the F-35 would be stripped from the bill. But conservatives successfully blocked efforts to slow down the process. This is a huge win for U.S. national security.

The F-35 Lightning is set to become the world’s leading Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), providing safety from the world’s leading threats. As terrorism, nuclear threats, and isolated conflicts become the norm, the need for technologically advanced aerial systems should be premier on the Pentagon’s priority list. Under Secretary of Defense Frank Kendall calls the F-35 “our highest priority conventional warfare weapon system.”

A fifth-generation multi-use strike fighter, the F-35 is a joint project of the U.S. and nine other collaborating nations. This global partnership on the F-35 represents a turning point in modern weaponry.

The F-35 offers advanced reconnaissance capabilities, stealth, tactical maneuverability, and air-to-surface missiles—essentially ensuring that the enemy would not detect U.S. military presence until the jet delivers the attack. It also helps the economy by enlisting 1,400 domestic suppliers in 46 states and creating over 125,000 jobs for Americans.

The F-35 is set for initial operations capability in 2015 for the Marine Corps, 2016 for the Air Force, and 2018 for the Navy. The U.S. should continue support for this multi-role aircraft as part of a protect-and-defend strategy. The price tag is lofty, but the F-35’s advanced capabilities make it worth the cost.

Alert: Al Qaeda Sets Up Base in Sinai

The Egyptian government has declared a high alert in the Sinai Peninsula following a high level of Al Qaeda terrorist activity in the region.

The terrorists have set up a military base in central Sinai, Egyptian security officials told the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency on Monday.

Curfews have been imposed on the Sinai cities of El-Arish, Sheikh Zuweid and Rafiah, which straddles the border with Hamas terrorist-ruled Gaza.

Some 30 jihadists from Gaza entered the region via the tunnels, officials said, and it is believed they may join demonstrations against the Muslim Brotherhood planned for June 30.
Al Qaeda terrorists kidnapped at least seven Egyptian security officers earlier this year.

Until the January 25 Revolution, Israeli tourists flocked to the Sinai Peninsula for every holiday each year despite numerous warnings by Israel’s Counter Terrorism Bureau, describing terrorists’ plans to kidnap and murder Israelis and Jews at any opportunity that presented itself.

Although tourism to the region continues, particularly to areas that line the Red Sea shoreline, it is greatly reduced due to the change in Egypt’s government, which has become Islamist with the installation of the Muslim Brotherhood-backed President Mohammed Morsi.Popular Posts:

First Take on the CBO Report: Amnesty Hurts U.S. Workers

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its cost estimate and economic impact documents for S. 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act, today. We are still analyzing the lengthy reports, but already a few items stand out as noteworthy.

Reducing Flow

CBO reports that S. 744 would have only a marginal impact in reducing future illegal immigration. According to CBO, S.744 would reduce the future inflow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. over the next two decades by only 25 percent. CBO estimates that by 2033, 7.5 million new illegal immigrants will have entered the U.S. and taken up residence. The Heritage Foundation’s Robert Rector estimates that these new illegal immigrants could cost the taxpayers (federal, state, and local) some $400 billion over 20 years.

The CBO estimate is in sharp contrast to the rhetoric of the bill’s sponsors, who have said the bill “contains the toughest border immigration enforcement measures in U.S. history.” Measures to increase border security or make an amnesty contingent on securing the border first have been voted down by the bill sponsors and their allies in the Senate.

Effect on Workers

Congress should pass only immigration reform measures that are good for American workers. The economic goal should be increased after-tax income for those in the United States lawfully. This bill appears to fail that test in the years following enactment, since per capita gross national product (GNP) would be lower in the bill all the way out past 2030 (Figure 2). (See also “S. 744 would reduce per capita GNP by .7 percent in 2023” [page 14].) CBO notes that by 2033, a range of estimates indicate that per capita GNP could be lower or higher.

Wages also seem to take a hit in the first decade or so, according to CBO. If Heritage is right about the heavy fiscal costs of amnesty starting around 2026 (13 years after a potential enactment), then it would be even more important to measure post-tax wages than simply per capita GNP or wages in any event.

Costs

The CBO report also does little to assuage concern that the amnesty portion of the bill would be very costly to U.S. taxpayers. It provides only a look at the first 10 years in any real detail. (It includes only a sketch of the second 10 years.)

As we noted last week prior to the report:

Specifically, the bill allows those who move from unlawful status to registered provisional immigrant status to obtain few benefits initially. Then, upon entering legal permanent resident status, they would be eligible for additional benefits, and in time they would qualify for the full panoply of means-tested welfare and entitlement benefits.

It is important to note as well that the most significant costs during the lifetime of would-be legalized immigrants are during their retirement years after they qualify for Medicare and Social Security. For the vast majority of unlawful immigrants, that is well past the 10-year budget window.

Heritage has noted that an amnesty would be costly to American taxpayers, would not stop unlawful immigration, and would be unfair to those who immigrated lawfully or did not enter the U.S. illegally. Tomorrow, Heritage will host an event to discuss the CBO report in more detail.Popular Posts:

Obama Chases his Children around Pool with a Military Assault Weapon

As boys around the country (some as young as five years old) are getting in trouble for playing games such as cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians or for even holding their hand in the shape of a gun, Barack Obama’s Father’s Day picture shows him running around a pool… with a toy gun. Horrors! What kind of message is he sending to his children?

My question, or course, is sarcastic, and the whole incident just shows how messed up this country is.

For Father’s Day, the White House tweeted a series of pictures under the title Our 13 Favorite Photos of President Obama Being a Dad. One of the pictures was from Camp David where Obama was running around the pool with a water gun. Now, I’m curious… In this age where boys are not allowed to be boys, where any game involving a toy gun is deemed dangerous and violent, then why is Barack Obama parading around with one too?

As Dimitrios Halikias writes in National Review, the cases of officials coming down against children simply for playing is getting out of control:

Last month, a six-year-old student was given detention after “traumatizing” classmates with a Lego gun the size of a quarter. A few weeks ago, several students were suspended from school for playing with a nerf gun — that had been brought in at the request of a teacher for a class lesson. And in the most ludicrous story yet, a second-grader was suspended from school in March for chewing a Pop Tart into the shape of a gun. The student recently appealed the suspension and was denied by the acting superintendant.

But that’s not all. Back in April, I wrote about Jared Marcum, an eighth-grader who was suspended because he wore an NRA shirt with the image of a gun to school. Now, it turns out that the trouble may continue for the boy, as he could face time in jail for his “crime.”

The New York Daily News reports:

A West Virginia teen who was arrested after refusing to change out of his National Rifle Association T-shirt at school could face a fine and even jail time on a related charge.

A judge in Logan County Court is allowing prosecutors to charge 14-year-old Jared Marcum with obstructing an officer in the April 18 incident, reported CBS affiliate WOWK-TV.

The arresting officer in Logan, a city about an hour south of Charleston, said that Marcum wouldn’t stop talking during the frenzy at Lincoln Middle School, the station said.

The judge’s decision last week against Marcum now means prosecutors can seek a $500 fine and up to a year in jail for the former eighth-grader.

What is going on with this country? It’s time for all of these school officials to take a deep breath and see just how idiotic they are being.

And as far as Barack Obama is concerned, what kind of message is he sending? He rails against “gun violence,” and he clearly knows that anything he does will be photographed, yet he thinks it’s ok to play with a toy gun in front of his children. Does that mean that all these other cases of kids playing with toy guns warrants some kind of presidential pardon?

Perhaps Obama should pay a visit to the Pop Tart kid’s school and say “lighten up.” But we all know that won’t happen. Obama has one standard for himself and the ruling elite and one standard for the rest of us.Popular Posts:

Obama Wants to Partner with Iran’s New Radical President

Iran’s new president will find a partner in the United States if he comes clean on the Islamic Republic’s controversial nuclear program, a senior White House official said Sunday, according to the AFP news agency.

Hassan Rowhani, who is considered a “moderate”, was elected as Iran’s new president Friday, ending eight years of a conservative grip on the office marked by tension with the West over Tehran’s atomic drive.

“If he is interested in… mending Iran’s relations with the rest of the world, there’s an opportunity to do that,” White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough was quoted as having told CBS News’s “Face the Nation.”

“If he lives up to his obligations under the UN Security Council resolution to come clean on this illicit nuclear program, he will find a partner in us, and there will be an opportunity for that,” said McDonough.

McDonough said that if Rowhani, a former nuclear negotiator who has promised a more constructive approach to talks, lives up to obligations linked to the program, then “there’s a great opportunity for Iran, and the people of that storied country, to have the kind of future that they would, I think, justifiably want.”

On Saturday, the White House said it was prepared to engage Iran “directly” over its nuclear program in order to reach a “diplomatic solution that will fully address the international community’s concerns.”

It also said the election was held amid lack of transparency, censorship of the media, the Internet and text messages, and “an intimidating security environment that limited freedom of expression and assembly,” according to AFP.

McDonough referenced those “difficult circumstances” Sunday, adding, “I think we should all be quite proud of the way that Iranians turned out to vote and to express their democratic views and aspirations.”

Rowhani, who succeeds Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on Sunday hailed his own win as a victory over “extremism.”

World powers have offered a cautious welcome to Rowhani, with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urging Iran to play a “constructive role” in regional and international affairs.

EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said she was committed to working with Rowhani to find a “swift diplomatic solution” on finding a solution to the disputed nuclear program.

Rowhani, who was the country’s nuclear negotiator under former president Mohammad Khatami, recently accused his predecessor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of needlessly incurring crippling economic sanctions.

Israel issued an unusually blunt reaction to the election of Iran’s new president on Saturday by saying it was supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who decides on nuclear policy, not the president.

International Relations Minister Yuval Steinitz told Army Radio on Sunday that “the results are a credit to the Iranian people, but the question is whether the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei — who actually manages the foreign affairs, national security and Iran’s nuclear program – change the country’s path and behavior?

“I doubt it,” Steinitz went on to say. “But if it changes, it will only be in response to increased pressure.”

Did Israel Strike Syria Again?

1. How far has Egyptian public opinion of Hamas sunk after revelations that it intervened in Egypt’s revolution? Maan News reports that a visiting delegation of Hamas leaders — including Khaled Mashaal and Ismail Haniyeh — were instructed to change hotels after Egyptian security officials learned of a planned protest outside the Cairo’s Intercontinental Hotel.

The sources added that the change in hotel was required because forces did not “have the situation under control.” . . .

2. Syrian media claims a Sunday attack on an air base was carried out by Israel. Rebels already claimed the attack as theirs; mum’s the word from the IDF. But the Jerusalem Post writes:

Eye witnesses said that the explosions were large and that neither the Assad regime nor the rebels had the capability to create explosions of such a magnitude.

3. Hmmmm. Over at Al-Monitor, Ali Hashem describes seeing Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in the Syrian village of Qusair. Hashem confirmed that Nasrallah has visited his people in Syria several times.

Nasrallah’s visit to Qusair shows once again that the group’s fight in Syria isn’t a matter of interests, it’s a matter of existence.Popular Posts:
