According to the Israeli Association for Civil Rights, anti-Arab incidents have risen sharply. “Israeli society is reaching new heights of racism that damages freedom of expression and privacy,” says Sami Michael, the organization’s president. Among the Association’s findings […] 75 percent of Israeli Jews say they would not live in the same building as Arabs”.-
At the end of November 1947, the UN offered to divide Palestine into two states almost equal in their territorial space. The Jews were only one third of the population by 1947 and most of them had arrived in Palestine only a few years earlier. The categorical Palestinian refusal to go along with this deal, backed by the Arab League, allowed the Zionist leadership to plan carefully the next step. Between February 1947 and March 1948, a final plan for ethnic cleansing was prepared. The UN Human Rights Council released a report on the recent fighting between Hamas and Israel in Gaza. Remember that Israel Forces bombed the UN Gaza HQ not once but twice, destroying all the UN food and medicine supplies. This is again with ethnic cleansing and debilitating purposes. To make the palestinian children and women starve and give birth to children with malnutrition and to curb their population number. How outrageous !

Remember that an UNRWA (United Nations) school in Beit Lahiya, Gaza-Palestine suffered a direct hit from Israel bombings on 17 January 2009, 2 children were killed, this was reported also by John Ging, head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Israel aimed to kill children in schools, and they knew it because the Israeli Forces were given the GPS coordinates location of schools and UN Relief installations to NOT TO BOMB THEM.

At the UN school, 35 sheltering refugees, mostly children, were killed.

4) And violations of the international laws of war. According to Amnesty International (Jul 2 2009), "Impunity for war crimes in Gaza and southern Israel a recipe for further civilian suffering", Israel killed “some 300 children and hundreds of other unarmed civilians who took no part in the conflict were among the 1,400 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces. Most were killed with high-precision weapons, relying on surveillance drones which have exceptionally good optics, allowing those observing to see their targets in detail. Others were killed with imprecise weapons, including artillery shells carrying white phosphorus – not previously used in Gaza - which should never be used in densely populated areas”.-

We should never forget Israel used depleted uranium bombs in Lebanon in 2006, and so it goes on and on (read more in my articles at The Contingency Monitor where reports give clear evidence of the use of 'sonic booms' and 'white phosphorus' over the population, and another where there is clear evidence of the use of 'tungsten bombs').

Israel's has now the reputation of a liar, for not disclosing the continue use of 'experimental bombs' in its wars, bombs and weapons which of course are 'out of law'. We don't need to say that of course, some of these weapons are not even ruled by international laws of war !! (how convenient, but still a crime). So, israeli targets, where curiousely always many children and women also die, become 'guinea pigs'.

But of course, no US american needs to warry, because this is "another country" right?. However, Israel receives $3 billion US anual military aid, which of course is nothing for US America to think of, US americans just must pay taxes, go to bed, be obedient, and shut their white mouth up, so that the government treats you all as a huge cow, and milks you away each year for more and more dollars for wars.

Besides, does this makes US American Government Leadership guilty as in the Nuremberg Trials of charges with participating in a "conspiracy or common plan" to commit international crimes? I would say yes. TOTALLY YES.

Richard Falk a United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories has said reiteratively that “the Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip represent severe and massive violations of international humanitarian law as defined in the Geneva Conventions, both in regard to the obligations of an Occupying Power and in the requirements of the laws of war”. The next NPT Review will not be until 2010. Then-Secretary-General of the UN Kofi Annan called the failure "a real disgrace."

USA Terrorism: HiROSHiMA NAGASAKI Atomic Bomb Why is it wrong for dictators and terrorists to kill innocent civilians but right or excusable for the United States? Would this be a reason for USA not to sanction Israel? Both are terrorist-nations (overtly or covertly) when convenient?

If USA, Israel and the UK were confronted to an international court of law, they would be made guilty of murder in second degree by direct association and knowledge of assassinations. In 1991 bought the Reñihué Ranch with 42,000 acres of evergreen temperate rain forest. Tompkins and his wife, Christine, in association with The Conservation Land Trust (a US environmental foundation) have since added another 700,000 acres. Today, Tompkins owns lands principally in three areas: southern Chile (Pumalín Park, Valle Chacabuco), southern Argentina (the Santa Cruz River Basin), and northeastern Argentina (Esteros del Iberá in the Corrientes Province). His total land holdings are estimated to be around 2,000,000 acres (800,000 hectares) — or 3,000 mi² (8,000 km²) — making him one of the top private land owners in the world.

Dalhia Wasfi was a speaker at the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) 'Winter Soldier' eyewitness testimony, March 2008, in Maryland. Snowshoefilms had some questions for the young physician and caught up with her in Chicago a few months later.

The essay mentioned by Wasfi in the interview was written by israeli zionist Oded Yinon, "A Strategy for Israel in the 1980’s”. This translation was published by the Association of Arab-American University Graduates, Inc. Belmont, Massachusetts, 1982 Special Document No. 1 (ISBN 0-937694-56-8). A nuclear proliferation network operating in the US penetrates the Pentagon and related institutions, according to FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds. Edmonds will later leave the FBI and say she knows this based on telephone conversations she translated as a part of an FBI investigation. The network, which is run by Pakistani scientist A. Q. Summer 2005: Justice Department, FBI Investigating Improper Collusion between House Democrat and Israeli Lobby. The FBI and Justice Department quietly open an investigation into whether Representative Jane Harman (D-CA), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, improperly colluded with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) to win reappointment as the committee’s ranking member. Malalai Joya is Afghanistan’s youngest member of Parliament, well-known for openly challenging the US/NATO, warlords, and the Taliban.

She was elected to Parliament in 2005 but was suspended in 2007 after saying it was worse than a zoo or stable, because at least “in a stable we have animals like a cow which is useful in that it provides milk, and a donkey that can carry a load” (171).

Joya’s key argument is that the US/NATO, warlords and Taliban must be rejected and instead, progressives must be empowered, such as herself, the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA), and others.

This is an important point because the mainstream media and government officials would have us believe that the only options in Afghanistan are the US-backed government or the Taliban. So there is plenty of discussion in government circles and the news on whether or not to bring in some “moderate” Taliban in government, on the number of extra troops that should be sent to Afghanistan, and on the challenges faced in building the army and police to protect the state.

Those discussions all assume that the Afghan government is relatively democratic and a force for good, whereas in fact it is infested with warlords and fundamentalists.

This is a direct result of US policy, which actively supported warlords and drug lords from 2001 onwards as they were deemed useful in routing the Taliban

As such they received millions of dollars from Washington, leading to their empowerment up to this day

The two men claim Blackwater’s owner, Erik Prince, may have murdered or facilitated the murder of individuals who were cooperating with federal authorities investigating the company. One also alleges that Prince, quote, “views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe,” and that Prince’s companies, “encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life.”

While the possibility that Pakistan and the ISI (or Lashkar-e Taiba) are responsible for the Mumbai attacks should be taken into consideration, given precedence and means, we must allow ourselves to contemplate other possibilities.

While India and the west are placing the blame for the attacks on Pakistan’s ISI and the Lashkar-e Taiba, the Pakistani press is reporting on another possibility.

On November 29, the Pakistan Daily reported that, with a stiff side of anti-Israel rhetoric, that the Mumbai attack would be used “as justification for a US invasion of Pakistan.” It reported that the Israeli Mossad “has mobilized since 2000 in the Jammu and Kashmir areas of India, where the Indian government has been pursuing a ‘security’ issue with regard to the Kashmiri people.” It quoted a Times of India article that reported, “Israeli counter-terrorism experts are now touring Jammu and Kashmir and several other states in India at the invitation of Home Minister Lal Krishna Advani to make an assessment of New Delhi’s security needs. The Israeli team, headed by Eli Katzir of the Israel Counter-Terrorism Combat Unit, includes Israeli military intelligence officials and a senior police official.” There was also a reported agreement on “closer India-Israeli cooperation on all security matters.”[25]

Modus Operandi.

Shortly after the start of the attacks in Mumbai, a Russia counter-terrorism presidential envoy stated that, “The terrorists in the Indian city of Mumbai, who killed more than 150 people and injured over 300, used the same tactics that Chechen field militants employed in the Northern Caucasus.” He elaborated, “These tactics were used during raids by militant Chechen field commanders Shamil Basayev and Salman Raduyev against the towns of Buddyonnovsk and Pervomaiskoye. For the first time in history the entire towns were terrorized, with homes and hospitals seized. The Mumbai terrorists have learned these tactics well.”[26]

Shamil Basayev, one of the Chechen rebel leaders, as well as many of the other Chechen leaders, were trained by the CIA and ISI in Afghanistan, in CIA-run training camps during the Soviet-Afghan war of the 1980s.[27]

Motive.

On December 2, former ISI Chief Hameed Gul, said that the “Mumbai incident is an international based conspiracy to deprive Pakistan of its atomic power. Talking to a private TV channel on Friday, he said that to involve Pakistan in the incident reflected that some forces wanted to declare Pakistan a fail[ed] state as somehow it had become necessary to make Pakistan kneel down in order to snatch its atomic power away.” He elaborated that the method of attacks, and how the militants executed them, “seemed impossible without internal support.” He continued in stating that the “US wanted to see [the] Indian army in Afghanistan to disintegrate the country,” and referred to recent US maps showing a divided Pakistan in four parts, and that making Pakistan “kneel down” before the IMF was “part of a pre-planned trick.”[28]

As astonishing and outlandish as these claims may seem, the US has a long history of turning on its allies when they seek to become self-sufficient and developed, such as with Saddam Hussein and Iraq in the early 1990s. Also, it is vital to note the role of the IMF and World Bank in creating economic crises, and thus, political-social-ethnic instability, which invariably has led to all out ethnic war, genocides and “international interventions,” in countries such as Yugoslavia and Rwanda.

The International Financial Institutions (IFIs) often create the conditions for political instability, while covert Western intelligence support to disaffected and radical groups creates the means for rebellion; which then becomes the excuse for foreign military intervention; which then secures an imperial military presence in the region, thus gaining control over the particular region’s resources and strategic position. This is the age-old conquest of empire: divide and conquer.

Conclusion.

The Mumbai attacks do not aid India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, or any nation within the region. The beneficiaries of the Mumbai Massacre are in London and New York, in the boardrooms and shareholders of the largest international banks; which seek total control of the world. Having dominated North America and Europe for much of recent history, these bankers, primarily Anglo-American, but also European, seek to exert their total control over the world’s resources, currencies, and populations.

“A senior member of the antiwar coalition, United For Peace and Justice, said recently, and I quote her, "The Democrats are using the politics of reality." Her liberal historical reference point was Vietnam. She said that President Johnson began withdrawing troops from Vietnam after a Democratic Congress began to vote against the war. That's not what happened. The troops were withdrawn from Vietnam after four long years. And during that time the United States killed more people in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos with bombs than were killed in all the preceding years. And that's what's happening in Iraq. The bombing has doubled since last year, and this is not being reported. And who began this bombing? Bill Clinton began it. During the 1990s Clinton rained bombs on Iraq in what were euphemistically called the "no fly zones." At the same time he imposed a medieval siege called economic sanctions, killing as I've mentioned, perhaps a million people, including a documented 500,000 children. Almost none of this carnage was reported in the so-called mainstream media. Last year a study published by the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health found that since the invasion of Iraq 655, 000 Iraqis had died as a direct result of the invasion. Official documents show that the Blair government knew this figure to be credible. In February, Les Roberts, the author of the report, said the figure was equal to the figure for deaths in the Fordham University study of the Rwandan genocide. The media response to Robert's shocking revelation was silence. What may well be the greatest episode of organized killing for a generation, in Harold Pinter's words, "Did not happen. It didn't matter."

Many people who regard themselves on the left supported Bush's attack on Afghanistan. That the CIA had supported Osama Bin Laden was ignored, that the Clinton administration had secretly backed the Taliban, even giving them high-level briefings at the CIA, is virtually unknown in the United States. The Taliban were secret partners with the oil giant Unocal in building an oil pipeline across Afghanistan. And when a Clinton official was reminded that the Taliban persecuted women, he said, "We can live with that." There is compelling evidence that Bush decided to attack the Taliban not as a result of 9-11, but two months earlier, in July of 2001. This is virtually unknown in the United States—publicly. Like the scale of civilian casualties in Afghanistan. To my knowledge only one mainstream reporter, Jonathan Steele of the Guardian in London, has investigated civilian casualties in Afghanistan, and his estimate is 20,000 dead civilians, and that was three years ago.

The enduring tragedy of Palestine is due in great part to the silence and compliance of the so-called liberal left. Hamas is described repeatedly as sworn to the destruction of Israel. The New York Times, the Associated Press, the Boston Globe—take your pick. They all use this line as a standard disclaimer, and it is false. That Hamas has called for a ten-year ceasefire is almost never reported. Even more important, that Hamas has undergone an historic ideological shift in the last few years, which amounts to a recognition of what it calls the reality of Israel, is virtually unknown; and that Israel is sworn to the destruction of Palestine is unspeakable.

There is a pioneering study by Glasgow University on the reporting of Palestine. They interviewed young people who watch TV news in Britain. More than 90 percent thought the illegal settlers were Palestinian. The more they watched, the less they knew—Danny Schecter's famous phrase.

The current most dangerous silence is over nuclear weapons and the return of the Cold War. The Russians understand clearly that the so-called American defense shield in Eastern Europe is designed to subjugate and humiliate them. Yet the front pages here talk about Putin starting a new Cold War, and there is silence about the development of an entirely new American nuclear system called Reliable Weapons Replacement (RRW), which is designed to blur the distinction between conventional war and nuclear war—a long-held ambition.

In the meantime, Iran is being softened up, with the liberal media playing almost the same role it played before the Iraq invasion. And as for the Democrats, look at how Barak Obama has become the voice of the Council on Foreign Relations, one of the propaganda organs of the old liberal Washington establishment. Obama writes that while he wants the troops home, "We must not rule out military force against long-standing adversaries such as Iran and Syria." Listen to this from the liberal Obama: "At moment of great peril in the past century our leaders ensured that America, by deed and by example, led and lifted the world, that we stood and fought for the freedom sought by billions of people beyond their borders."

That is the nub of the propaganda, the brainwashing if you like, that seeps into the lives of every American, and many of us who are not Americans. From right to left, secular to God-fearing, what so few people know is that in the last half century, United States adminstrations have overthrown 50 governments—many of them democracies. In the process, thirty countries have been attacked and bombed, with the loss of countless lives. Bush bashing is all very well—and is justified—but the moment we begin to accept the siren call of the Democrat's drivel about standing up and fighting for freedom sought by billions, the battle for history is lost, and we ourselves are silenced”.

At the same time, other European ships have been looting Somalia's seas of their greatest resource: seafood. We have destroyed our own fish-stocks by over-exploitation - and now we have moved on to theirs. More than $300m worth of tuna, shrimp, lobster and other sea-life is being stolen every year by vast trawlers illegally sailing into Somalia's unprotected seas. The local fishermen have suddenly lost their livelihoods, and they are starving. Mohammed Hussein, a fisherman in the town of Marka 100km south of Mogadishu, told Reuters: "If nothing is done, there soon won't be much fish left in our coastal waters."

This is the context in which the men we are calling "pirates" have emerged. Everyone agrees they were ordinary Somalian fishermen who at first took speedboats to try to dissuade the dumpers and trawlers, or at least wage a 'tax' on them. They call themselves the Volunteer Coastguard of Somalia - and it's not hard to see why. In a surreal telephone interview, one of the pirate leaders, Sugule Ali, said their motive was "to stop illegal fishing and dumping in our waters... We don't consider ourselves sea bandits. We consider sea bandits [to be] those who illegally fish and dump in our seas and dump waste in our seas and carry weapons in our seas." William Scott would understand those words”.-

Arundhati Roy (born November 24, 1961) is an Indian novelist, activist and a world citizen. She won the Booker Prize in 1997 for her first novel The God of Small Things.

Roy was born in Shillong, Meghalaya to a Keralite Syrian Christian mother and a Bengali Hindu father, a tea planter by profession. She spent her childhood in Aymanam, in Kerala, schooling in Corpus Christi. She left Kerala for Delhi at age 16, and embarked on a homeless lifestyle, staying in a small hut with a tin roof within the walls of Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla and making a living selling empty bottles. She then proceeded to study architecture at the Delhi School of Architecture, where she met her first husband, the architect Gerard Da Cunha.

The God of Small Things is the only novel written by Roy. Since winning the Booker Prize, she has concentrated her writing on political issues. These include the Narmada Dam project, India's Nuclear Weapons, corrupt power company Enron's activities in India. She is a figure-head of the anti-globalization/alter-globalization movement and a vehement critic of neo-imperialism.

In response to India's testing of nuclear weapons in Pokhran, Rajasthan, Roy wrote The End of Imagination, a critique of the Indian government's nuclear policies. It was published in her collection The Cost of Living, in which she also crusaded against India's massive hydroelectric dam projects in the central and western states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

She has since devoted herself solely to nonfiction and politics, publishing two more collections of essays as well as working for social causes.

Roy was awarded the Sydney Peace Prize in May 2004 for her work in social campaigns and advocacy of non-violence.

In June 2005 she took part in the World Tribunal on Iraq. In January 2006 she was awarded the Sahitya Akademi award for her collection of essays, 'The Algebra of Infinite Justice', but declined to accept it.

There is emerging a potentially deadly threat from a community associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) – necrotizing ["flesh eating" inside the respiratory system], community acquired pneumonia, known as CA-MRSA CAP, which generally emerges after influenza or influenza-like illness. According to previous research, this type of pneumonia mortality, among case reports to date stands at 42% (Source: [2]^,[9]^,[68]^,[69]^,[70]^,[71]).

This potentially deadly threat is probably going to sprout out in the future development of the coming seasons of A-H1N1 influenza world wide, specially considering that Influenza A-H1N1's epidemiological dynamics (and it’s genome-scale evolutionary dynamics) is poorly understood. This topic was covered in the section-9 in The Contingency Monitor's article Swine Flu, Briefing The Wide View (Part 1).

The population in risk would be healthy human beings, young patients and others without the classic health-care-associated risk factors, almost everyone. People born before 1918 harbor antibodies that protect against the new H1N1 virus, those, are expected to be immune.

Here's how you can protect yourself and your family: Wash your hands frequently, with soap and water for at least 15 seconds or with an alcohol-based rub. Don’t share personal items like razors or towels. Avoid direct contact with infected individuals. Notify your doctor if you develop a skin infection or another problem that could signal MRSA.

Those at high risk for influenza (aka. the usual seasonal strains, NOT the Influenza A-H1N1) and its complications, should get an annual influenza vaccination (the usual annual seasonal influenza, NOT the Influenza A-H1N1 vaccination).

In most cases, the bugs are harmless, but an antibiotic-resistant form of S. aureus is becoming more common. Methicillin-resistant S. aureus, or MRSA, can be difficult to treat, but there are ways to avoid infection, reports the Harvard Men's Health Watch.

Mostly, S aureus causes boils or wound infections and only very occasionally life-threatening illnesses, including septicaemia, osteomyelitis, toxic-shock syndrome, and pneumonia. This adaptability of S aureus in infecting different tissues is also seen in its ability to overcome antibiotics". -

The Lancet, Volume 368, Issue 9538, pages 874 - 885, 2 September 2006: "Staphylococcus aureus is a gram-positive bacterium that colonises the skin and is present in the anterior nares in about 25—30% of healthy people".]

S. aureus can lead to pneumonia if it gets into the lungs. It can cause boils, abscesses, or serious infections of the skin and underlying tissues. It can even invade the bloodstream to cause life-threatening illness. Fortunately, these major infections are uncommon". -

So, Who Can Get Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) In the First Place? Is it Easy to Identify?

Harvard Men's Health Watch (Nov 2008), Avoiding the MRSA “Superbug”: "When penicillin was discovered in the 1940s, virtually all strains of S. aureus were vulnerable to this new antibiotic. But within a decade, bacterial mutants that could resist penicillin began to emerge. In 1959, scientists developed methicillin, an antibiotic that was able to kill penicillin-resistant S. aureus. Methicillin and its derivatives quickly gained widespread use. And, as with penicillin, staph learned how to resist methicillin and similar drugs, becoming methicillin-resistant S. aureus—or MRSA.

MRSA behaves much like other staph, usually existing in the nose or on the skin without causing disease, sometimes causing mild infections, and occasionally causing life-threatening ones. MRSA is vulnerable to special antibiotics. Doctors usually rely on vancomycin to treat hospitalized patients, but there are other useful drugs.

S aureus strains with intermediate susceptibility to vancomycin have been reported and typically present as clinically resistant to vancomycin, which is manifested by lack of response to treatment and recurrent MRSA infections". -

In Critical Care Clinics - Volume 24, Issue 2 (April 2008): "Recent data showing vancomycin resistance, increasing numbers of MRSA isolates with higher vancomycin minumum inhibitory concentrations, and an apparent increase in vancomycin clinical failures have brought vancomycin's utility into question. A variety of treatment options for MRSA are available. Quinupristin-dalfopristin was the first alternative to vancomycin. However, its safety profile and potential for drug interactions limit its use. Linezolid has been shown to be effective in the treatment of pneumonia and skin and skin-structure infections due to MRSA. The drug's potential to cause bone marrow suppression limits its use, especially in treatment durations extending beyond 14 days. Daptomycin has been shown to be effective for the treatment of MRSA bloodstream and of MRSA skin and skin-structure infections. Tigecycline is the newest available drug with MRSA activity. It has demonstrated noninferiority to vancomycin in skin and skin-structure infections. However, its role in the treatment of ventilator- and hospital-acquired pneumonia is still unclear.

The treatment of MRSA in the critically ill patient is complicated. Data for treatment of critically ill patients are often lacking due to the exclusion of patients with high mortality risk in larger clinical trials. In the setting of nosocomial pneumonia, the evidence-based critical care practitioner must choose vancomycin or linezolid for treatment of MRSA. Tigecycline should only be thought of as a salvage therapy at this time. Daptomycin should not be considered because it is sequestered in lung secretions. Emergency Medicine Clinics of North America - Volume 26, Issue 2 (May 2008): "In fact, there is significant controversy about whether vancomycin provides effective therapy for invasive CA-MRSA infections, particularly pneumonia. Case reports have documented instances of vancomycin treatment failure in CA-MRSA CAP, followed by improvement after switching to linezolid. Unlike linezolid, vancomycin is not concentrated in alveolar fluid and may not remain above minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) in lung tissue long enough to be effective. Linezolid and clindamycin significantly reduce PVL production, whereas vancomycin has no effect on protein synthesis. On the other hand, linezolid is far more expensive than vancomycin and has been associated with serious adverse effects, such as myelosuppression and serotonin syndrome. One author has recommended the combination of clindamycin plus linezolid as preferred therapy for PVL-positive S aureus pneumonia based on the ability of each of these agents to reduce exotoxin production. TMP-SMX is another available parenteral treatment option in patients unable to tolerate vancomycin or linezolid, although there is little experience with its use in this setting.

To date, there are no pediatric pneumonia treatment guidelines addressing CA-MRSA CAP. Given the limited clinical experience with linezolid in children, however, vancomycin plus clindamycin probably remains the preferred treatment at this time for pediatric CA-MRSA CAP".]

Here's how you can protect yourself and your family: Wash your hands frequently, with soap and water for at least 15 seconds or with an alcohol-based rub. Don’t share personal items like razors or towels. Avoid direct contact with infected individuals. Notify your doctor if you develop a skin infection or another problem that could signal MRSA". -

2) Which Is The Danger of this MRSA Pneumonia Type? It Has Pandemic Potential

The Lancet, Volume 365, Issue 9466, Pages 1256 - 1258, 2 April 2005: "During the 1950s, the notorious penicillin-resistant clone of Staphylococcus aureus known as phage type 80/81 emerged and caused serious hospital-acquired and community-acquired infections worldwide. This clone was largely eliminated in the 1960s, concurrent with the widespread use of penicillinase-resistant β lactams. We investigated whether early 80/81 isolates had the genes for Panton-Valentine leucocidin, a toxin associated with virulence in healthy young people. Multilocus sequence analysis suggested that descendants of 80/81 have acquired meticillin resistance, are re-emerging as a community-acquired meticillin-resistant S aureus (CA-MRSA) clone, and represent a sister lineage to pandemic hospital-acquired MRSA".-

Also there is a particular type of MRSA found particularly in USA, CANADA and EUROPE; but now almost in EVERY CONTINENT.

The Lancet, Volume 367, Issue 9512, Pages 731 - 739, 4 March 2006: Pulsed-field type "USA300, a clone of meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, is a major source of community-acquired infections in the USA, Canada, and Europe. [...] The USA300 has acquired mobile genetic elements that encode resistance and virulence determinants that could enhance fitness and pathogenicity". -

Recent studies have shown a causal relationship between this clone (USA300) and Pneumonia.

The Lancet Infectious Diseases, Volume 9, Issue 6, Pages 384 - 392, June 2009: "Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), usually known as a nosocomial pathogen, has emerged as thepredominant cause of skin and soft-tissue infections in many communities. Concurrent with the emergence of community-acquired MRSA (CA-MRSA), there have been increasing numbers of reports of community-acquired necrotizing ["flesh eating"] pneumonia in young patients and others without the classic health-care-associated risk factors.

Community-onset necrotizing pneumonia due to CA-MRSA is now recognised as an emerging clinical entity with distinctive clinical features and substantial morbidity and mortality. A viral prodrome (eg, influenza or influenza-like illness) followed by acute onset of shortness of breath, sepsis, and haemoptysis is the most frequent clinical presentation.

The best treatment of this partly toxin-mediated disease has not been clearly defined. Whereas cases of CA-MRSA pneumonia have now been reported from almost every continent, the overall burden of disease of this emerging syndrome remains incompletely described. [...] CA-MRSA pneumonia has emerged as a cause of community-acquired pneumonia, generally after influenza or influenza-like illness and most often among previously healthy patients". -

"A new, highly detailed study of the H1N1 flu virus shows that the pathogen is more virulent than previously thought.

Writing in a fast-tracked report published today (July 13) in the journal Nature, an international team of researchers led by University of Wisconsin-Madison virologist Yoshihiro Kawaoka provides a detailed portrait of the pandemic virus and its pathogenic qualities.

In contrast with run-of-the-mill seasonal flu viruses, the H1N1 virus exhibits an ability to infect cells deep in the lungs, where it can cause pneumonia and, in severe cases, death. Seasonal viruses typically infect only cells in the upper respiratory system.

“There is a misunderstanding about this virus,” says Kawaoka, a professor of pathobiological sciences at the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine and a leading authority on influenza. “People think this pathogen may be similar to seasonal influenza. This study shows that is not the case. There is clear evidence the virus is different than seasonal influenza.”

The ability to infect the lungs, notes Kawaoka, is a quality frighteningly similar to those of other pandemic viruses, notably the 1918 virus, which killed tens of millions of people at the tail end of World War I. There are likely other similarities to the 1918 virus, says Kawaoka, as the study also showed that people born before 1918 harbor antibodies that protect against the new H1N1 virus.

And it is possible, he adds, that the virus could become even more pathogenic as the current pandemic runs its course and the virus evolves to acquire new features. It is now flu season in the world’s southern hemisphere, and the virus is expected to return in force to the northern hemisphere during the fall and winter flu season". -

But why would any ‘moral country’ with a marketing-branded ‘moral army’ would ever need to deploy such a vast public relations propaganda out to the world? 3) Racism-apartheid and ethnic cleansing regime (more here). At the end of November 1947, the UN offered to divide Palestine into two states almost equal in their territorial space. The Jews were only one third of the population by 1947 and most of them had arrived in Palestine only a few years earlier. 4) And violations of the international laws of war. According to Amnesty International (Jul 2 2009), "Impunity for war crimes in Gaza and southern Israel a recipe for further civilian suffering", Israel killed “some 300 children and hundreds of other unarmed civilians who took no part in the conflict were among the 1,400 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces. Most were killed with high-precision weapons, relying on surveillance drones which have exceptionally good optics, allowing those observing to see their targets in detail. Others were killed with imprecise weapons, including artillery shells carrying white phosphorus – not previously used in Gaza - which should never be used in densely populated areas”.-

We should never forget Israel used depleted uranium bombs in Lebanon in 2006, and so it goes on and on (read more in my article where there is clear evidence of the use of 'sonic booms' and 'white phosphorus' over the population, and another where there is clear evidence of the use of 'tungsten bombs').

Israel's has now the reputation of a liar, for not disclosing the continue use of 'experimental bombs' in its wars, bombs and weapons which of course are 'out of law'. We don't need to say that of course, some of these weapons are not even ruled by international laws of war !! (how convenient, but still a crime). So, israeli targets, where curiousely always many children and women also die, become 'guinea pigs'.

But of course, no US american needs to warry, because this is "another country" right?. However, Israel receives $3 billion US anual military aid, which of course is nothing for US America to think of, northamericans just must pay taxes, go to bed, be obedient, and shut their white mouth up, so that the government treats you all as a huge cow, and milks you away each year for more and more dollars.

Besides, does this makes US American Government Leadership guilty as in the Nuremberg Trials of charges with participating in a "conspiracy or common plan" to commit international crimes? I would say yes. TOTALLY YES.

We shall not evade the hardest moral question of all: is it permissible to risk the lives of our soldiers in order to save the old people, women and children of the “enemy”? The answer of Assa Kasher, the ideologue of the “Most Moral Army in the World”, is unequivocal: it is absolutely forbidden to risk the lives of the soldiers. The most telling sentence in his entire essay is: “Therefore…the state must give preference to the lives of its soldiers above the lives of the (unarmed) neighbors of a terrorist.” […]

Israeli soldiers who fought in last winter's Gaza War say the military used Palestinians as human shields

The testimonies were by far the strongest allegations to come from war veterans that the army used excessive force during the three-week offensive and echoed claims already leveled by Palestinian and human rights groups. The military rebutted the report, saying the accounts were anonymous and impossible to verify.

The accounts of 26 war veterans were collected by Breaking the Silence, an organization of Israeli army reservists critical of their country's treatment of Palestinians. They described demolishing buildings, vandalizing homes and using more than essential firepower, given the relatively light resistance they encountered. One said the army needlessly used white phosphorous, a masking agent that can cause severe burns, for smokescreens. Others said regulations for opening fire were vague, and that soldiers were expected to do whatever was necessary to protect themselves”. -

CNN And Psychological Operations (PSYOPS)

Military personnel from the Fourth Psychological Operations Group based at Fort Bragg, in North Carolina, have until recently been working in CNN's hq in Atlanta.

CNN is up in arms about our report in the last issue of CounterPunch concerning the findings of the Dutch journalist, Abe de Vries about the presence of US Army personnel at CNN, owned by Time-Warner. We cited an article by de Vries which appeared on February 21 in the reputable Dutch daily newspaper Trouw, originally translated into English and placed on the web by Emperor's Clothes. De Vries reported that a handful of military personnel from the Third Psychological Operations Battalion, part of the airmobile Fourth Psychological Operations Group based at Fort Bragg, in North Carolina, had worked in CNN's hq in Atlanta.

De Vries quoted Major Thomas Collins of the US Army Information Service as having confirmed the presence of these Army psy-ops experts at CNN, saying, "Psy-ops personnel, soldiers and officers, have been working in CNN's headquarters in Atlanta through our program, 'Training with Industry'. They worked as regular employees of CNN. Conceivably, they would have worked on stories during the Kosovo war. They helped in the production of news."

This particular CounterPunch story was the topic of my regular weekly broadcast to AM Live, a program of the South Africa Broadcasting Company in Johannesburg. Among the audience of this broadcast was CNN's bureau in South Africa which lost no time in relaying news of it to CNN hq in Atlanta, and I duly received an angry phone call from Eason Jordan who identified himself as CNN's president of newsgathering and international networks.

Jordan was full of indignation that I had somehow compromised the reputation of CNN. But in the course of our conversation it turned out that yes, CNN had hosted a total of five interns from US army psy-ops, two in television, two in radio and one in satellite operations. Jordan said the program had only recently terminated, I would guess at about the time CNN's higher management read Abe de Vries's stories.

When I reached De Vries in Belgrade, where's he is Trouw's correspondent, and told him about CNN's furious reaction, he stood by his stories and by the quotations given him by Major Collins.For some days CNN wouldn't get back to him with a specific reaction to Collins's confirmation, and when it did, he filed a later story for Trouw, printed on February 25 noting that the military worked at CNN in the period from June 7, (a date confirmed by Eason to me) meaning that during the war a psy-ops person would have been at CNN during the last week.

"The facts are", De Vries told me, " that the US Army, US Special Operations Command and CNN personnel confirmed to me that military personnel have been involved in news production at CNN's newsdesks. I found it simply astonishing. Of course CNN says these psyops personnel didn't decide anything, write news reports, etcetera. What else can they say. Maybe it's true, maybe not. The point is that these kind of close ties with the army are, in my view, completely unacceptable for any serious news organization. Maybe even more astonishing is the complete silence about the story from the big media. To my knowledge, my story was not mentioned by leading American or British newspapers, nor by Reuters or AP."

Here at CounterPunch we agree with Abe de Vries, who told me he'd originally come upon the story through an article in the French newsletter, Intelligence On-line, February 17, which described a military symposium in Arlington, Virginia, held at the beginning of February of this year, discussing use of the press in military operations. Colonel Christopher St John, commander of the US Army's 4th Psyops Group, was quoted by Intelligence On-Line's correspondent, present at the symposium, as having, in the correspondent's words, "called for greater cooperation between the armed forces and media giants. He pointed out that some army PSYOPS personnel had worked for CNN for several weeks and helped in the production of some news stories for the network."

So, however insignificant Eason Jordan and other executives at CNN may now describe the Army psyops tours at CNN as having been, the commanding officer of the Psy-ops group thought them as sufficient significance to mention at a high level Pentagon seminar about propaganda and psychological warfare. It could be that CNN was the target of a psyops penetration and is still too naïve to figure out what was going on.

It's hard not to laugh when CNN execs like Eason Jordan start spouting high-toned stuff about CNN's principles of objectivity and refusal to spout government or Pentagon propaganda. The relationship is most vividly summed up by the fact that Christiane Amanpour, CNN's leading foreign correspondent, and a woman whose reports about the fate of Kosovan refugees did much to fan public appetite for NATO's war, is literally and figuratively in bed with spokesman for the US State Department, and a leading propagandist for NATO during that war, her husband James Rubin.If CNN truly wanted to maintain the appearance of objectivity, it would have taken Amanpour off the story. Amanpour, by the way, is still a passionate advocate for NATO's crusade, most recently on the Charlie Rose show.

In the first two weeks of the war in Kosovo CNN produced thirty articles for the Internet, according to de Vries, who looked them up for his first story. An average CNN article had seven mentions of Tony Blair, NATO spokesmen like Jamie Shea and David Wilby or other NATO officials. Words like refugees, ethnic cleansing, mass killings and expulsions were used nine times on the average. But the so-called Kosovo Liberation Armmy (0.2 mentions) and the Yugoslav civilian victims (0.3 mentions) barely existed for CNN.

During the war on Serbia, as with other recent conflicts involving the US, wars, CNN's screen was filled with an interminable procession of US military officers. On April 27 of last year, Amy Goodman of the Pacifica radio network, put a good question to Frank Sesno, who is CNN's senior vice president for political coverage.

GOODMAN:"If you support the practice of putting ex-military men -generals - on the payroll to share their opinion during a time of war, would you also support putting peace activists on the payroll to give a different opinion during a time of war? To be sitting there with the military generals talking about why they feel that war is not appropriate?"

FRANK SESNO: "We bring the generals in because of their expertise in a particular area. We call them analysts. We don't bring them in as advocates. In fact, we actually talk to them about that - they're not there as advocates."

Exactly a week before Sesno said this, CNN had featured as one of its military analysts, Lt Gen Dan Benton, US Army Retired.

BENTON: "I don't know what our countrymen that are questioning why we're involved in this conflict are thinking about. As I listened to this press conference this morning with reports of rapes burning, villages being burned and this particularly incredible report of blood banks, of blood being harvested from young boys for the use of Yugoslav forces, I just got madder and madder. The United States has a responsibility as the only superpower in the world, and when we learn about these things, somebody has got to stand up and say, that's enough, stop it, we aren't going to put up with this. And so the United States is fulfilling its leadership responsibility with our NATO allies and are trying to stop these incredible atrocities."

Please note what CNN's supposedly non-advocatory analyst Benton was ranting about: a particularly bizarre and preposterous NATO propaganda item about 700 Albanian boys being used as human blood banks for Serb fighters.

So much for the "non-advocate" CNN. CP

"[...] The reasons for Washington’s intervention into Xinjiang affairs seems to have little to do with concerns over alleged human rights abuses by Beijing authorities against Uyghur people. It seems rather to have very much to do with the strategic geopolitical location of Xinjiang on the Eurasian landmass and its strategic importance for China’s future economic and energy cooperation with Russia, Kazakhastan and other Central Asia states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The major organization internationally calling for protests in front of Chinese embassies around the world is the Washington, D.C.-based World Uyghur Congress (WUC).

The WUC manages to finance a staff, a very fancy website in English, and has a very close relation to the US Congress-funded NED. According to published reports by the NED itself, the World Uyghur Congress receives $215,000.00 annually from the National Endowment for Democracy for “human rights research and advocacy projects.” The president of the WUC is an exile Uyghur who describes herself as a “laundress turned millionaire,” Rebiya Kadeer, who also serves as president of the Washington D.C.-based Uyghur American Association, another Uyghur human rights organization which receives significant funding from the US Government via the National Endowment for Democracy.

The NED was intimately involved in financial support to various organizations behind the Lhasa ”Crimson Revolution“ in March 2008, as well as the Saffron Revolution in Burma/Myanmar and virtually every regime change destabilization in eastern Europe over the past years from Serbia to Georgia to Ukraine to Kyrgystan to Teheran in the aftermath of the recent elections.

Allen Weinstein, who helped draft the legislation establishing NED, was quite candid when he said in a published interview in 1991: "A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA.

Miss Kadeer, 62, has denied the accusations and on Wednesday repeated her claims that 400 Uighurs had been killed in Urumqi and a further 100 in Kashgar, the second-largest Uighur city in Xinjiang.

However her claims appear to conflict directly with witness testimonies and other reports gathered by international media on the ground in Urumqi over the last three days.

In the People's Hospital No.2, the overwhelming number of the 360 casualties were Han Chinese who, according to doctors, had injuries consistent with being beaten with rocks, sticks and other blunt instruments”. -
