Backstage at London Fashion Week "Ones to watch" Fall Winter 2012

SO I was backstage taking photos for "Ones to watch" part of Vauxhall Fashion Scout London Fashion Week.

The four designers were Anne Sofie Madsen, Nova Chiu, Myrza de Muynck, & Heohwan Simulation.

It was amazing being backstage, amazing and so chaotic.

I will be handing out issues of Phoenix tomorrow and doing photos for another show Sunday.

Diary Of A Fashion Intern… The Model Agency

Issue 6 of Phoenix will hit stores tomorrow and we will be handing it out during the first three days of London Fashion week.

SO I figure I can release some small details about the shoots I helped out with.

I think it was day two or three I had the task of getting in packages to book male models for the men's editorial.

The photographer Rich Hardcastle did the casting and he chose…

James Cooper at Premier the former Prada model!

& Jack Curd at Storm

SO today I dropped off the issue at Storm & Premier to personally thank the bookers and to get a glimpse inside a real modeling agency. Seeing even just the front reception area of Storm was amazing.

BUT seeing Premier the star of The Model Agency was surreal. For those not in the UK Channel 4 did a 7 part documentary series on Premier. I could recognize the building walking up to it :P

Carole White was at her desk, the rest of the women's board was out to lunch, and Anthony was walking around. Also there was a single male model sitting behind the men's board waiting I couldn't place a name to the face so I was disappointed in myself.

Both bookers were super friendly and helpful, James agent was thrilled with the images so hopefully they will be on the Premier Blog.

ALSO when leaving the agency I saw another model from Models 1 wandering around Long Acre then he met up with about two other male models so I think they were off to a casting or something… again couldn't place any names to the faces. They were dressed classic model laid back and cool, back packs and all. The only way I knew the one was a model is because I recognized the Models 1 book.

SOON everyone will be arriving in London for fashion week curious to see who I can ~~stalk~~ see!

LD kept things kinda interesting this season.

LOVE that half & half cardigan, just would need to see it from the back too.

The layered vest over sweater over sweater looks okay, but would be impossible for me to wear.

AND we have some man clutch action going on so that is always a MUST HAVE.

Diary of a Fashion Intern…

I've lost count of the days where do I even begin?

My name in print! The only glimpse of the issue I can show for now!

FORTUNATELY the magazine went to print, I was the one responsible for making sure that happened. I had the simple but semi-stressful task of converting all the .indd files into .pdf files, re-naming those files to correspond with the page numbers and issue number, then finally I had to upload all the print quality .pdf files onto the printer server.

It was simple yet I was worried I would mess up a page or something, I think I only mislabeled one spread and that was caught early on.

The magazine editorial content is on lockdown until the magazine hits the newsstands so I can't show any of the images I helped make.

Now we will be working on promoting the magazine and working on editorial content for the digital online version of the magazine.

Right now I'm assisting with some shoots for another magazine, our Creative director is a contributing photographer for another magazine. So I'm calling in some more products to shoot, booking studios and making call sheets. Some exciting shoots and products also wish I could say more but I don't even technically work for this magazine.

It looks like I will be around during Fashion week doing various jobs for the magazine, again can't say much about that yet.

SO I've been super busy with lots to do but still don't have much to show for it. I will have lots to show when I'm helping to promote the magazine so stay tuned… and see you at Fashion Week!
