inspire others to be better people. But I never seem to have that effect.
I come off as depressing. Or self righteous. Arrogant, even. I guess it depends on who you ask. And I know it hardly makes a difference when I say I don't mean to. 
When I really stop to think about it, I find sentiments like "don't worry, be happy" to be a total cop out. I think we

Last week, I posted this article about the police response to Occupy Oakland protesters which included video of Scott Olsen after he was shot in the face with what is presumed to be a tear gas canister.

Demonstrators at the occupation in Oakland, California were evicted from their camp at 5 AM tuesday morning. They were met with tear gas, rubber bullets and flash grenades and over seventy people were arrested. Their camp was torn down, and all their belongings were thrown away. (I
