Hey friends!

It's time for day two of the Release Rewind from My Favorite Things.  I have a couple of cards to share with you today.

My first card is made with three new sets, Pure Innocence On a Picnic, Washi Patterns, and Blooming Roses.  I also used the Washi Tape Die-namics for the sentiment.  The card base is Steel Grey.  The layers are Black Licorice, Grapesicle, and X-Press It Blending Card.  The inks I used are Black Licorice, Grapesicle, Grape Jelly, and Copic markers. 

I just love the look of the black stripes along the bottom of the card.  I made those with the Washi Patterns stamp set.

I created the patterned blanket with the Distressed Diamonds stamp set and Black Licorice ink, and added a frindged edge with Black Licorice card stock and a sharp pair of scissors. :)

I created the napkin coming out of the basket with Grapesicle card stock, Grape Jelly ink, and the Washi Patterns stamp set.  I added a strip of Grapesicle Grosgrain across the middle of the card.

Inside the card, I stamped the image in Grapesicle and the sentiment in Black Licorice.  A strip of Steel Grey card stock and a couple of Grapesicle Washi Tape Die-namics accents finish it off.

My second card has a much more clean and simple design.  I began with a Smooth White card baske, and added a layer of Berrylicious.  I die-cut a big pile of white butterflies with the Blissful Butterflies Die-namics.  I stamped one of the butterflies with the Blissful Butterflies set and Sour Apple ink, and popped it up on foam tape to make it the focal point of the card. 

The sentiment was stamped in Berrylicious ink.  I anchored the butterflies with Berrylicious Grograin ribbon and a matching Berrylicious button to center the bow.

Well, I took this close-up photo, thinking you would be able to see the pretty sparkle on the butterfly; but not so much.  I guess you'll just have to take my word for it...its sparkly! :)  I used a Sakura Clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen to outline the edges and pattern on the butterfly.

Inside the card, I stamped the butterflies in Berrylicious ink, and the sentiment in Sour Apple.  A strip of Berrylicious card stock anchors the design.
