The Critchlows

The Hair Cut!!!

2013-02-18T11:33:00.000-07:00

So Sunday I was getting ready for church, things were going great, I had the kids cloths all layed out on the couch the night before I had my cloths all ready also and I was feeling really confident about getting to church on time. Right Wrong!!!! So Wrong, Chloe comes running into the bathroom where I was getting ready crying holding her doll that Hunter had Cut up!! "Mom Hunter cut my Dolly!!! And my......

HAIR!!!!! I about died!! I did my Best to try to conceal it for church and of course we were late!! I immediately texted Katelyn "Is there any way you could come fix Chloe's hair today Hunter cut it!!!! It's reallyd bad!!! Just let me know!"

And I just have to say Katelyn is a God Sent!! I am so grateful that she is willing to make Chloe's hair beautiful again on a Sunday!!

Getting started

Making sure I'm okay!!

She was such a good sport!!

Cutting Away!!

Grandma told her Hunter cut it crooked so Katelyn is going to cut it straight!

Grandma also told Hunter he didn't go to school in Salt Lake to become a Barber and only Barber's can cut Hair!

and finally

The finished product!! Katelyn your Amazing!!

And now for the back

She Love's it!!

I really like it too and I would have never cut it like this if I didn't have to but I'm kinda (KINDA) glad I had too!!

Hunters Flat Top

2011-08-22T12:02:00.001-06:00

Since Hunters first hair cut I have been waiting for the day that he would hold still enough to get a flat top!

We cut his curls when he turned 1 and that was a battle!

Then we gave him a Critchlow special! It was such a wrestling match that we final just buzzed him

And now the day finally came Paul called Hunter up and he sat on the board all by himself he didn't ask to be held he was brave and held very still.

It only took 4 years and alot of wrestling matches. Paul had to wipe tears of joy from his eyes no more fighting to get his hair cut!

Kimber Ann

Kimber Ann Critchlow

2011-05-23T20:24:00.000-06:00

After waiting for what seemed like forever our little bundle finally came, she was two weeks early and I was happy as can be!!! Weighing in at 6 pounds 11 ounces on May 5th at 3 A.M. Kimber Ann Critchlow came screaming into the world, with no problems. She is a very content baby and hasn't had any problems, She left the hospital only weighing 5 pounds 13 ounces but is having no problem gaining weight now that were home.

I on the other hand haven't been so lucky, My incision healed nicely but I ended up getting on infection in my muscle tissue that caused me to be hospitalized for 5 extra days, I am finally home and feeling much better. Hunter and Chloe absolutely LOVE their new little sister and are such great helpers. Chloe is Kimber's protector from every one because Kimber is Her Baby!! It is cute but there have been lots of tears when any one but Chloe holds her. We decided they must have been best friends in heaven!!

Out of the Mouth of Hunter

2010-09-01T00:36:00.000-06:00

Lately Hunter has had some very insightful words to express to Rob and I and I wanted to write them down before I forget about them:
The other night Hunter came and got in bed with me around 4 a.m. when Rob came home from work he was in our bed with me again but I didn't notice him getting back into our bed.

Me: Hunter how did you sleep last night

Hunter: In my bed

Me: Did you get in bed with Mom this morning?

Hunter: I was very quiet!

Another night Hunter climbed in bed with Rob and I, Rob got up early to go do chores at his Grandpa's house and Hunter woke up before he go back home.

Hunter: Mommy where's my Daddy?
            Mommy My Daddy is lost!
When Rob got home I told him what Hunter said

Hunter: Daddy's not lost he's right here! No He's not lost Mommy!

Rob called from work around 8 and asked if we could bring him something to eat, I was just leaving my Mom's so I told him yes. We got in the Van and then this conversation took place.

Hunter: Mom are we going home?

Me: No Hunter, we are going to go to Daddy's work.

Hunter: No we can't go its dangerous we'll get straped.

Me: We will be okay

Hunter: No its dark we will get straped.

Me: We'll get straped?

Hunter: Ya like this!

Me: Like what?

Hunter: Like this.. We'll get straped we cant go lets go home.

Me: We'll stay in the Van it will be ok.

Hunter: Are we going Home?

Me: No were going to Dad's work

Hunter: No Mommy we can't its dangerous.

Needless to say he fell asleep and stayed asleep until morning when he snuck into my bed being very quiet!

Hunter: Mommy where's Chloe? Oh there she is she is cute!! Isn't she Cute!

"Mommy Chloe wants down! Put her Down she wants Down!"

"AHHH Chloe's awake, Mommy Chloe's awake"

           "SHHHH Chloe be quiet"

           "SHHHHHHH She's sleeping"

Oh there's many more I'm going to have to start writing them down cause he's become such a talker!! I love talking to him!!!

The Moments That Make Life Worth It!!

2010-07-29T02:59:00.000-06:00

On Saturday July 24th I took Hunter and Chloe to have lunch with my Good Friend Stephanie Talbot and her Family and Pam I was in a hurry both kids were asleep as I draged them into the van and was a little cranky when we got there but I managed to get them both into Applebee's and in there seats!!! We ordered our food and when it came we started eating. Hunter started tugging on my arm saying "Mom In The Name Of Jesus!" Which is code for prayer (Don't ask me how it just is) he wouldn't touch his food until we prayed over it! I guess I must be doing something right!!

Hunter love's the show The Backyardigans!! Loves it he know's all the characters names and he can sing the theme song when he wants to! But do you think he calls it The Backyardigans?? No he calls it Hippo!! The first episode he ever saw was the Giant Problem where Tosha the Hippo (Yes I know their names too) is a giant! So if he ever tells you he wants to watch Hippo that is what he is talking about and I have 42 episodes recorded on my DVR which some one deleted Samuri Pie Hippo and Hunter is not very Happy about it!!

Oh I Love it Hunter watches everything we do the other day he was telling me "Close your Eyes" "SHHHH Be Quiet" "Go To Sleep" then he would turn off the lights and close the door and come back and check to see if I was asleep the little stinker!!

The Joys of Being a Mother!! I wouldn't trade them for anything its soo worth the sleepless nights and the little tantrums that children throw because the Good Moments far out way the Bad ones!! I Love Being A Mother!!!!

Pioneer Day

2010-07-25T20:04:00.002-06:00

I don't have any pictures but I'm soo excited that Chloe and I finished our first 5k! We took 6th out of 10 people in our division running a 43.49 it was awesome!! Of course I couldn't move today because of it I am way proud of myself for accomplishing a goal I set out to do and hope it will only be one of the many races that we do!! I pushed the kids in the limo (double stroller) down the parade route and hung out at the festivities at the church. The entertainment was awesome, my Mom did a good job at lining up the entertainment, and my mother in-law Diane did a wonderful job with the food! I am so grateful for my pioneer heritage and that they had the faith and courage to follow our beloved Prophet Joesph Smith. We are so blessed to live here where Temples are so close to us!

They were worried that something was wrong so they rushed me into the operating room and did an emergency c-section!

Turns out there was nothing wrong He scored a perfect 10 on the Apgard scale and had Tied a True Knot in the umbilical Cord so thats why his heart rate kept dropping the little stink!!!

Rob Gave him his first bath while they stiched me up in the operating room!!

The House of The Lord!

2010-04-25T22:35:00.001-06:00

Wow life just keeps getting faster and faster! Ryan and Katelyn just received their Endowments on Saturday. It was Wonderful, and as an extra bonus we were invited to participate in some Sealings after the session. I Love the Temple! I don't go as often as I should, (I'm not sure Why? Whenever I do go I crave for more) but Rob and I are going to try to go at least once a month! I don't think thats too much to ask, just one day a month devoted in serving! The Temple is such a wonderful place to go, especially when life gets in the way of what is really important! I mean with every thing going on between work, school, kids, bills, cleaning, yard work, and finding time to spend working on your relationship, cooking, laundry, callings.... The list could go on forever, but when you go to The House of The Lord the whole world stops! Nothing else matters for that time, its Peaceful, Quiet, your mind is clear and you know that your Loved ones are near. Rob and I were just talking about how wonderful it is to have your Temple Recommend Interview, We just had to have ours in order to be there for Ryan and Katelyn and I couldn't help but think what a wonderful experience it is to go over the questions for your recommend. Every two years you get to evaluate where you are at on your journey, are you on the right path? Do you need to change anything? Can you answer Yes I Am Worthy To Enter The Temple!? I Loved being able to meet with Brother Christansen and President Nelson and answer those question and be found worthy to enter the Lords House! To know that I am heading in the right direction, I am just that much closer to being with my Gracie again! Ryan and Katelyn will be Sealed on Friday and what a wonderful way to start on this next chapter in their lives but to be able to be with one another not "Till Death Do Us Part" But "For Time and All Eternity" I am so proud that they have chosen to Go To The House of The Lord and do it the Right Way! It seems like yesterday when Rob And I were Sealed!

Union Station

2010-03-27T00:24:00.000-06:00

So for all of you who don't know Union Station in Ogden Utah is where the Golden Spike was originally supposed to be, but us Westerners had it going on and when we got to Union Station we had to just keep on going to Promitory to meet up with the East!

Hunter LOVES Trains!!! I'm not exagerating, so since were in Ogden for the Chariot Races we thought it would be fun to take him to the Train Museum at Union Station, he went nuts!!! Absolutley Loved it and we had fun watching him explore the trains!!

It is located on Wall Avenue, Does anyone know how Wall Avenue got its name?

When the pioneers first settled Ogden they began to build a Wall around the City to keep them safe from the Indians, but it never got finished! Does anyone know why it didn't get finished?

Turns out the Indians were nice so there was no need for the Wall.

He was in Heaven absolutely LOVED it!!!

They only do tours at 11 am 1 pm 3pm and 4pm so we didn't get to go inside the Train but he still had a blast

He wasn't so sure about standing up there alone.

I Want Down Please!

I'll do it myself then!

Wow I'm little high off the ground

Got It!

Hello

We took lots of Pictures

We were trying to get Hunter to hold still for the camera but he had other things in mind....

"Lets say Prayers" is what he told everyone to do. He's attempting to kneel down on the train.

Rob really likes the Olympic Train Car

Grandma showing Hunter the Brakes

Those wheels are really big.

Show me your teeth please.

Grandpa's Turn

We tried to get him to hang out the window but he's like his Mother

Scared of Heights!!!! He wanted nothin to do with that!

This is the first room in the museum Trains everywhere Hunter LOVED it.

Lights just like on "Christmas Train" aka "The Polar Express"

She didn't stay awake for long poor thing!

Hunter on the scale they used to weigh the cars with!

I'm in Control

"Where are the Elves?" That is seriously what he asked us when he saw this.

Choo Choo!!

Goodbye, Goodbye

It is so much fun to take Hunter places and see him learn and explore!! I'm Loving this stage that he's going through!!!

Crawling!!

2010-02-17T18:49:00.001-07:00

Baby's such a wonderful blessing! They go through so many stages so quickly though and your not sure if you like it or not! When their first born they are totally dependent on you for everything!

Feed Them

Entertain them

Change Them

Groom Them!

And somewhere between then and now they decide to start growing up and entertaining themselves a little bit they can sit in jumpers all by themselves.

They start eating baby food

They learn how to roll and your really in trouble then! But their still confined a little bit no worries though until....................

They learn how to CRAWL!!!!!

Potty Training!

2010-02-15T17:13:00.000-07:00

Hunter is sorta being potty trained! Some days he really wants to other days he refuses to but at least he is getting interested I guess! He is starting to come up to me and ask to have his diaper changed so thats a good thing! The poor kid has had a lot going on lately.

Croup!!

2010-02-15T17:09:00.000-07:00

Hunter has Croup!! We went to the doctor Thursday because I thought he had RSV turns out he has Croup! They had to give him a shot, a breathing treatment (Which he hated) and then he had to take this nasty medicine twice a day for 4 days! Poor Kid! The Dr. said Chloe probably wont get it, but I think she might have it so I'm treating her symptoms and watching her very closely! I hate it when my kids get sick!

2010-02-15T16:48:00.000-07:00

Hunter and Dawson look so cute in their outfits from Honey and Papa on Chritsmas day

Chloe Dawson and Honey!

Isn't she Precious

I Love This Picture!

Sleep He Wont Go To Sleep!

2010-01-17T20:58:00.000-07:00

Okay I'm going insane!! I can not get Hunter to stay in his bed!!! I've been doing the super nanny thing and it kinda works, like the first night it took 3 hours the second night 1 1/2 hours the next night 45 min. but it is an absoulute fight every night to put him to bed, when is it supposed to be okay Hunter love you good night kisses hugs lights out and he goes to bed? When? Oh ya sometimes he goes to bed the first time, but thats only if he is so tired that he physically can not keep his eye's open! But even if he does go to bed he tries to get in bed with me at 4 in the morning and countinues to try until I fall asleep and he sneaks in with out waking me!! This morning we fought from 6 am till 8 am when I finally got up to get ready for church with him coming in and us putting him back!! When will it end I don't know what to do any more I need HELP!!

Our Oregon Trip!!!!

2009-10-18T19:55:00.003-06:00

Sorry it took so long to get these posted, but here are some of them!

I was so nervous but I did finally let them lift the shades on the

window so we could look out, Chloe was so so good on the plane I was Amazed!

Hunter Loved the plane he didn't try to get out of his seat or anything!

This was out of order but it turns our Hunter didn't care it had a steering wheel and thats all he needed!

The Horse worked just fine but he wanted to drive the car with the

scarry clown instead! We found these outside a Subway while looking for Walmart!

The first place we went to was the Columbus River!

This was the first waterfall we went to!

Hunter slept through this waterfall!!

A wedding party was splashed on this bridge years ago

while getting their pictures taken from a boulder that sluffed off the mountain!

The waterfall was too big to get the whole thing in one shot!

The Beach at Seaside Hunter LOVED IT!!!

A sneaker wave came in so Diane had to grab Hunter

so that it didn't sweep him into the Ocean!

He was not scared at all!

Neil finally got to let Hunter chase Segulls on the Beach!

Grampa Neil and Hunter watching the waves come in.

This Sea Lion washed up on shore and just wanted to sunbathe!

We had to litterally carry Hunter back to the house!

He did not want to leave the Beach!

Not the biggest fan of the Merry Go Round! He did eventually smile!

We tried it twice once with Camille and once with Neil!

This is North Head Light House in Washington!

The Astoria Column!

Rob carried Hunter up all 146 stairs to the top!

Each stair has a sponser!

Chloe and Grandma at the top of the Column!

Our Family picture at Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach

This is what Haystack Rock looks like!

Starfish and Muscles cling to the rock!

(The Black things are muscles)

I didn't know there are purple starfish!

You could walk right up to them!

This place was cool, but we lost Neil for a little while!

He went around the fence where your not supposed to go!

Hunter all of a sudden started to attack Rob!

He refused to give me any Kisses Though!

Then he shoved his fingers in Robs mouth and started laughing!

We saw alot of waterfalls!

Hunter was ready to head back!

Hunter thought he was so cleaver!

Family picture we took at this waterfall!

He just couldn't get enough of the Ocean!

His shoes were filled with sand by the time we left Oregon!

A Jelly Fish washed up on shore!

Runnin around the light house!

What are those?

There Sea Lions and they are mean to each other!

But Millie I want to go in the Water!!!

Please Nick just let me go in!

Neil and Diane at the beach in Newport Oregon!

Hunter and Camille

He was throwing sand!

Grandpa quite taking my picture I just woke up!

Seriously this is the best smile your going to get out of me right now!

Hey I thought I told you to quite taking my picture!

He wants to be so independent!

This light house wouldn't let Hunter go up because he's under 47 inches

Rob chasing after Hunter!

Hanging out at the beach!

Hunter and Dad

What is this Dad?

I told Rob to be carefull!

A wave snuck up on him!

(Do you see how I'm walking way up a way from the edge?)

We'll You See This Big Wave?!

Apparently I Didn't stay Far Enough Back!

I thought they were right on the edge! They weren't though!

Yes thats Nick way up there, and Yes I went way up there!

Then I had to come down from there!

A lady made it up there in a skirt!

I had to slide down on my behind!

Hunter wanted to ride all the way to the Light House on

Rob's back!

This is the light house keepers house!

(It is now a bed and breakfast)

Here is another Light House!

This is the bridge by the light house!

How many pictures does it take for Neil to finally get in

the shot? Here's number 1

Oh Almost there! Number 2

Third Times The Charm!!

Oregon

2009-10-15T14:14:00.010-06:00

Okay so I'm a little behind on my blogging! I took so many pictures and I want to post them but things have been so hectic that I'm going to write now and post pictures later!!! If you didn't know Rob, Hunter, Chloe and I went to Oregon with Rob's family! It was AMAZING, it is so beautiful there, but I haven't been on a plane since I was like 10 and it was only to LasVegas from Salt lake so nothing huge or anything!! We'll I was so nervous about flying that when the plane started to move I started to cry, ya it was embarrassing, Rob even closed the shades on the window so that I wouldn't wig out as we were taking off. I was trying to concentrate on feeding Chloe and not on what was going on, I did better when we landed but still. Hunter on the other hand thought that the airplane was the greatest thing ever, he wont stop talking about it and how he wants to go again! He was so good on the plane I was shocked, he stayed in his seat the whole time and played with his toys and talked with Neil and Diane the whole time! It was dark when we got there so we went straight to our hotel unloaded and then went down the road to place called Sharies to eat, its kinda like a Denny's but it was really good and we got free pie with our meal so that was cool! The next day we got up and went and saw waterfalls, the thing I didn't realize is that you have to actually hike to see the falls, they are worth the hiking though of course Rob had to carry Hunter all the way to the falls and back, the first one we went to Hunter fell asleep so Rob had to carry basicly dead weight and it was up and down and then stairs and really steep trails that we went on the get there and then we had to go back the same way! The next waterfall wasn't so bad though but you still had to go up a trail to get to the bridge but it was right off the road! We did allot of hiking on our trip and walking, after we were too tired to try and go to anymore waterfalls we drove to Seaside where we rented a beach house for 2 nights. It was amazing I have never seen the Ocean so it was a completely new experience for me, our house was right on the beach there was a little path outside the door and you walked down it and you were on the beach! Hunter is now obsessed with the Ocean as well and its all I can do to keep him from getting upset now that were home and there is no ocean! We had to drag him back to the house every time we went down and once we were back he would try to get someone else to take him back! The next day was a little more relaxed, we hung around the beach, went to the board walk to do some shopping and went to see a light house, and to the Collum which we had to walk up 164 steps to get to the top of the collum and then you could throw these airplanes off the top, Hunters went the farthest of everyones, and Rob's took a complete nose dive! Which Rob had to carry Hunter once again all the way to the top and all the way down. Then we went to Cannon Beach to see Hay Stack Rock and watch the Sunset! It was beautiful but we had to park about a mile and a half away from the Rock and walk down the beach to it, it was cool though there are Starfish and Muscles that cling to the rock, Hunter kept trying to go the wrong direction so we would throw a Football in front of us and Hunter we run and grab it then he would throw it back to us and we would do it all over again so that he would keep moving! The next day we packed up and went to a few more waterfalls and then headed to Newport Oregon where we stayed in another Beach House that was about a block away from the Ocean but you could see it outside the windows! We saw some more light houses the next day and beaches and went down to the port to see all the sea lions and boats! The next day we went to Devils Churn that was the coolest we all ended up getting soaked by waves while we were there its hard to explain it you just have to see it! The ocean comes into this narrow place in the rocks and just hits the sides, from there we walked over to the spouted horn that was neat too but I was so nervous that someone would fall in and that would be the end of them, and of course I'm the only one worried about it so they're all getting really close and I'm yelling at everyone to be careful or to back up! It was really neat though! After that we drove to Eugine and stayed in a Hotel, then the next day we headed back to Portland and stopped at the Temple and walked around then headed to the airport, got back on the plane, this time I didn't cry, but I was still nervous, and we headed home! I promise I will get picture on here soon!

Shrek and Donkey!!

2009-08-22T19:20:00.002-06:00

Hunter's new obbsession is Shrek and Donkey!! I was getting sick of watching the Bob The Builder Tractor Movie so we tried Shrek!! From Sun up till Sun Down all I hear is Donkey I want Donkey! As soon as he wakes in the morning he asks for Donkey! He doesn't even want to go outside until he realizes that you are really going out side then he'll think about leaving Shrek and Ona (He cant say Fiona so he just says Ona) and Donkey! I think I've watched Shrek 2 over 100 times I know I have! I've tried The Lion King he liked it okay but kept asking for Donkey, I tried Pipi Longstockings No Luck he wouldnt even watch it! I did record Shrek 3 today so hopefully I can get some relief! But for now I live in the world of Shrek and Donkey!!!

Life

2009-08-04T11:38:00.003-06:00

She wasnt too thrilled with being in the carseat put she was a good sport and just glared at me! She doesn't cry unless she's hungry or her diaper is dirty! Hunter is such a good helper he trys to help me change her diapers and when she's crying cause she's hungry he tells her "Its okay" it is so cute to see him with her!! Well I'm basicly living with my parents right now I can't do too much and Rob went back to work yesterday so I have moved into Tanners room for now! Rob is going to work all week so we wont get to see each other much but I just have to remember its for our family and things will work out in the end right! I'm going to go crazy but thats okay I guess its just part of things right? I can't believe how much love you can have for two little people with out blinking an eye! Its amazing you just automaticly care for the new one just as much as you do the older child! Now I kind of know what I'm getting into except for the simple fact that now I have two children to care for and that is completly new but I wouldn't change being a Mom for anything there is nothing like it in the wolrd ! Children are so amazing and bring such joy to your life!

2009-08-03T21:09:00.002-06:00

Chloe has been such a wonderfull baby!! She sleeps through the night and she eats well!! Hunter loves being a big brother he gives her kisses and wants to hold her all the time!! When he wakes up in the morning the first thing he says is Wears Chloe? It is so nice haveing everyone home! Rob is so amazing I love him so much he has been cleaning the house and making me food and making sure Hunter is eating and taken care of! He is back to work already but is planning on using his leave later on so its okay! I am slowly recovering not as fast as I'd like but I think I'm getting better! My incision didn't heal all the way before we left the hospital so I am having to be extra carefull, I'm not aloud to do any heavy lifting which Hunter qualifies as "Heavy Lifting" its been hard because Hunter wants his Mom to hold him and doesn't understand why I cant lift him up! We just keep telling him that Mommy has an owe and can't!!

The Wait is Finally Over!!!

2009-08-02T12:50:00.002-06:00
