In fall of 2012 Maybelline released a set of more neutral limited edition Color Tattoo Eyeshadows, I missed out on those but recently I had found the 2nd set they released for Fall of bright shades so I had to get the neutral set as well. Of course they are sold out everywhere since it was a while ago so I ended up turning to eBay and found a fairly decent price on them. The things I do to finish a collection and own all the things! I will have a review and swatches up later on, I know these are still purchasable on eBay is the only reason I'm doing these posts.

Today Glamour Doll Eyes is releasing a Limited Edition collection in collaboration with the new book coming out by author Teri Brown. The collection is called Born of illusion and it releases today May 15th and will only be sold until July 1st, 2013 so if you are interested in the shadow collection be sure to pick it up before it's gone.

My Thoughts: These shadows are definitely on par with the quality I find with Glamour Doll Eyes previous shadows/collections. I find the most unique of the bunch is Deception and probably my favorite (although I'm all about blues so Levitation is my second favorite!). I am definitely glad I purchased this set and again these are limited edition and only being sold until July 1st, so pick them up if you are interested before it's too late.

I actually only found one of the Maybelline Fall 2012 Color Tattoo Limited Edition Eyeshadows originally back when they released them, they also came out with a more neutral set as well. A couple weeks ago though I went to my local Walgreen's looking for the new Summer 2013 ones and came across 2 of the 4 that came out for the bright set. They were hidden behind some of the permanent ones, I was so super excited I had gotten them that I went ahead and purchased the last one I didn't own on Ebay called Ready, Set, Green (normally I stay away from Ebay for cosmetics as it can sometimes get you fake products).

Anyway onto the photos!

I will have a review and swatches up in the next few days, I know they were Limited Edition but they are still found on Ebay currently. I have also purchased the neutral set so I will have swatches and photos of those as well since they are also still buy-able on there as well.

Maybelline - Color Tattoo Eyeshadows - Summer 2013 - First Look - Limited Edition

Recently Maybelline released a set for Summer 2013 of the Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadows, this set is Limited Edition so if you want them be sure to grab them up before they are sold out. I went to about 3-4 local Walgreen's every week for the past 2-3 weeks looking for them and luckily even though certain ones were sold out at one location I managed to collect them all within a week.

Anyway on to the photos!

One of the toughest ones to find of these would definitely be 40 Seashore Frosts, I ended up finding 2 of them at a store I went to so I picked up both because it's such a gorgeous color. I will have swatches up shortly in the next day or two since these are limited edition.

Website Redesign

As you may know already from my prior post I have recently gone part-time at work for family reasons, of course with this also comes the ability to spend more time on writing for my blog as well which is a major plus.

Anyway as you also might notice I am currently working on redesigning the website as well, with that being said it's probably going to look pretty unfinished until I can figure out how to tweak some of the things I need to. I also have to add in the menu information again which I plan on doing later today (I spent pretty much a full day on just trying to change font color/style without destroying the coding lol).

I'll also be working on some past giveaways to finally pick the winners, as you know this can take a while to verify all info and I've been pretty busy in real life with other things which is why I am so far behind.

So life has been a bit crazy the last year, I've had a bit of stressful things happen as of late and I just find it gets kind of overwhelming to try and deal with online as well as real life stuff. I work 40 hours at a very mentally tiring job so by the time I get home I don't feel like doing anything (even taking care of my health). The stress I deal with on a daily basis has taken a toll on me in the depression department as well, so I've been fighting with that which doesn't help with the motivation of wanting to do beauty posts.

I know that posting swatches and review don't seem very time consuming, but on average I take 50+ pictures each time I try to swatch a collection. It takes forever to ensure the light is proper and that the true color of a product shows in each shot. After all that I have to go through each photo and choose which ones I want to use, then after that I have to crop and watermark them all followed by actually writing up a review/post.

Swatch posts probably don't sound too time consuming, but for me I want to show you guys how a shadow really looks. It takes me a while to actually swatch them on my arm (I do about 4 at a time to ensure I can get a good clear photo), then once I take the pictures I have to clean off my arm and repeat the process if I have more to do and doing this can take up half my day alone. With all that being said I find I love blogging so much, so I've decided it was time for a change of pace.

Some exciting news is that I will be going part time on May 6th, I will be working 24 hours maximum which will allow for time to spend with family, take care of my home, and my health. Another huge plus to this is that I will have time to devote to my blog on a regular basis, as well as to finally get back on track with youtube tutorials. If you haven't subscribed to my new youtube please check it out so you can keep up with the new videos that will start going up next month.

Lime Crime - Alchemy Collection - First Look

So back in October Lime Crime came out with a new collection called the Alchemy Collection, I hadn't really bought anything from them in a long time and I was intrigued by one of the Lipsticks called Serpentina so I ended up ordering. I'm a huge unicorn geek and I love anything that has to do with them or Pegasus... well actually horses in general, I don't own a horse but I have always wanted to so this packaging screams to me.

The swatch for Serpentina looked amazing and I was curious if it really would look that way in person so I ended up just picking up the whole collection since they had a discount if you bought everything. The collection included two Lipsticks and an Eyeshadow Palette, I will have a review later on once I finished swatching (yep I am that far behind still).

During the month of February Goldiestarling did this amazing makeup tutorial for kind of a Valentine's theme, in it she used Wolfe Cosmetics Hydrocolor Palette as well as Sokolum had also raved about it so I had to buy one.

I don't own any water activated face paint so I REALLY needed some as doing full faced makeup looks are such a pain with just eyeshadows, I will have a review up and swatches in the next couple of weeks.

Lorac - 3D Liquid Lustre Drops Diamond - First Look

A while back I was watching an Xsparkage tutorial (seriously if you haven't check out Xsparkage you should!), she is always using these Lorac 3D Lustre Drops so I have to pick them up. Every time she used these things I was awestruck at the sparkles! Tarina Tarantino - Pearl Glow Primer - First Look

A while back I had gotten the Tarina Tarantino Pearl Glow Primer as a deluxe sample to test out, I tend to have a ton of primers and foundations already so I don't normally purchase full sizes unless I really love them.

Sephora ended up phasing out the Tarina Tarantino products a while back so I ended up purchasing the primer for $20.00, normally it sells for $32 so I couldn't really pass it up. I will have a full review up on this as well as some swatches of it in the next week or so.
