The show featured Herman Li of Dragonforce. Rain was pouring heavily outside, but we still arrived at the venue somewhat dry. It was around 4:00PM. Gates were not open till 4:45PM. I was not expecting the crowd to be that big at the venue. We were lucky enough to get some seats because after a while the place was already crowded (some people behind us was already standing). It was fun watching the guy do his stuff, play some songs and do some crazy antics (He even forgot to plug the guitar before the show). It would have been better if the whole Dragonforce was present but of course it was a guitar clinic after all. Sure would love to see them play here in the Philippines hopefully next year. \m/

Currently we are editing some parts of the songs we've had before with our new vocalist Alex and our sessionist Jayron filling up the position of Budik for the mean time while he is busy with other matters. We are expecting probably by August that we might be able to go out and play our songs. See you around! Check us out at our Facebook page En Memoriam or at www.myspace.com/enmemoriam. -Francis

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_sLTSspazZEA/TBfmYTrcZhI/AAAAAAAAAEA/aB4__6vZ0z0/s200/alex413_bw.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483104376620606994" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_sLTSspazZEA/TBfmU9QnQeI/AAAAAAAAAD4/2xR6NItKXao/s200/budik832_bw.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483104319062884834" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_sLTSspazZEA/TBfmRezjGWI/AAAAAAAAADw/K5Ft8I51lZU/s200/jay2983_bw.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483104259348306274" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_sLTSspazZEA/TBfmMVAaWlI/AAAAAAAAADo/HEhx1nzZxh4/s200/sep122_bw.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483104170818558546" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_sLTSspazZEA/TBfmHy7kgUI/AAAAAAAAADg/oyZjzMAZpgc/s200/fran975_bw.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483104092951970114" />

These patches are not mine.
I've tried some and I guess not all of them are that okay but maybe if you adjust some parameters they will sound much better. Again, these are not mine but feel free to try these patches out. Maybe the sound that you are looking for is one of these. By the way, if you have time please feel free to post your comments on some of the patches so others will have ideas about the sound. I will try to post my own patches as well. AND BY THE WAY FEEL FREE TO PUT YOUR PRESETS ON THE COMMENTS PAGE BELOW.

Patch 1:???
Chain 1#2 comp-wah-3BEQ Chain Had the corned beef with egg meal stuff and ordered an extra spaghetti. Soon after, I realized that I was full already and I still haven't touched the pasta, I decided to take the the spaghetti home.

Called one of the crew behind me who was currently cleaning the table. "Sir, ano po yun?" I said that I'll just take out the spaghetti instead. The crew didn't take my plate of spag but instead came back with an empty styro and a plastic bag. He opened the styro container and reached for my plate. Realized that he doesn't have spoon or fork to push the pasta inside the container, he just swooped my used fork and used it. He did everything in our table and after doing that he asked, "Anything else sir?"

Uh, no? lol. So anyways after the guy left our table, I couldn't help myself but laugh. It was the first time that my food for take out was transferred in front of me. (Got bored after watching some news and other TV shows.) Well, I was actually planning to do some guitar exercise on my Washburn guitar when I saw the Cort.

This guitar actually needs some major repair. I'm still thinking which place or which luthier should I bring this guitar to. Anyways, I just wanted to hear how this guitar sound 'cos I haven't really used this on our jam. I bought this guitar cheap and I DID GET what I paid for... a big crack on the neck, high string action and some broken screws. Ouch. Well, I just thought I still can restore this guitar and it's rare already so I dug my money out of my wallet and got this from the hands of the previous owner (March 16, 2010).

Here's what I did awhile ago... I got the guitar out of the case and put it on the bed (no tables available in our room) and tried to find my toolbox which was inside the other guitar's case. Checked the crack again on the back of the neck to see if it's still okay. I tried to play the strings to check it everything is still fine aside from the crack. Then I did some adjustment on the truss rod (did around 3-4 small turns). I forgot to say the B string had some buzzing issues before I did some turns on the truss rod. After doing that... buzz was gone for good. Tried to tune the guitar to my tuning preference ( C G C F A D ) but then I noticed I was having tuning problems 'cos the bridge (Licensed Floyd Rose) was moving. Okay, got my old trusty screwdriver to remove the backplate of the guitar so I could adjust the spring tension. I forgot to adjust this after I bought this. I let the tension of the spring a little loose than what the previous owner had. (He had the screws almost way inside the body...wow). After some turns and adjustments I finally got to tune the guitar. Checked the intonation and it was good.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_sLTSspazZEA/S_L-Ubi-DWI/AAAAAAAAACQ/tug78Jdv_QU/s200/IMG0385A.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5472716124153843042" />

Okay, after doing all these stuff it was time to test it again... Voila! Perfect! (well I'm almost there) The bridge (vibrato stuff) works now without getting out of tune and I just need to remind myself not to do some extreme moves on it because I noticed the crack moving when I used the bar. Anyways, it seems that I could use this one this week's practice... still deciding which guitar to bring.
