In terms of Samsung Galaxy S II specs, it looks like everything that was reported earlier is pretty much the real deal.

At just 8.49mm thick (iPhone 4 9.3mm, current Samsung Galaxy S 9.9mm, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc 8.7mm) the new Galaxy S is virtually paper thin! So Samsung might just have themselves another top-seller here. We’re looking forward to the Unpacked event tomorrow to see what other features the Galaxy S 2 has to offer.

The cat’s pretty much out of the bag. The replacements for the Samsung Galaxy S and the Samsung Galaxy Tab are official and here are the first pictures right from the Samsung Unpacked event floor.

The specs of the Galaxy S II remains the same, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera with full 1080p video and an ultra thin 8.49mm chassis. The Galaxy S II will come in two variants with 16GB and 32GB on board storage.

Accompanying the Galaxy S II will be the Galaxy Tab II. The new Galaxy Tab goes up in size from 7-inch to 10.1-inch display with 1280×800 pixel resolution. The Galaxy Tab II will run Honeycomb have an 8MP camera with full 1080p HD video recording and playback and dual surround sound speakers.

There’s a lot to like with Samsung’s new lineup of it flagship Android devices. Question now, is when are these two coming to Malaysia and Singapore?

With integrated VOIP, Google is out there to catch the market of Telco with Google Voice. I am already stopped using mobile operator subscription and turned to SIP provider like LowRateVoip with Sipdroid (Android Apps) to make really cheap calls, some up to 10% of what Telco charges (Case of LowRateVoip vs Starhub). With internet and Google, phone calls via Mobile VOIP will be free in 10 years time (already FOC in US and Canada)

My Family Problem

This is something I have never shared before...

Every time someone asked me about my family background, i got nothing to say but miserable story, it's really messed up come to think of it. Here's what I will explain once and for all and I am not going to repeat it.

I married a widow whom I deeply loved and dated for 3 years. After a couple of years, my father fell in love with my step-daughter and married her, so my father became my son-in-law and I became my father’s father-in-law.

Legally now my daughter is my mother and my wife my grandmother.

More problems occurred when I had a son. My son is my father’s brother and so he is my uncle.

Situations turned worse when my father had a son.

Now my father’s son, my brother is my grandson.

Ultimately, I have become my own grand father and I am my own grandson.

Are you confused? So am I, when I read about this joke.

Today I learn a new vocab: 'Daft', defined as insane, mad; silly; stupid.

It seems to be a polite and intelligent way of scolding someone you don't like.

Example of 'Daft' usage:

So trilingual Chinese Malaysian are better at solving problems than Singaporean? I don't like to judge, but from own observations, for instance, Singaporeans are quick to engage police intervention for non-criminal matters like neighboring/domestic/personal/financial dispute/misunderstanding, it only shows own inability to solve problem by themselves, think 'crutch mentality'/kiasuism, you get the ideas. Or perhaps it's caused by 'the matrix'?

Do You Support Mandatory Death Penalty?

Mandatory penalty means no judicial discretion to order a lesser sentence (for over age 18). Legally speaking, this a paradox where it is self conflicting by denying "the Right to be Considered Innocent until Proven Guilty".

So, let me ask you: Do you support KILLING people who could be unaware that their bag has 16grams of heroin at custom checkpoint?

If you support mandatory death penalty, don't regret that the capital punishment could fall onto your friends or family, who could have been conned/framed/deceived/blackmailed/mistaken identity/unintellectual.
If you support mandatory death penalty, you also like the idea of having the power to murder someone simply by implanting 16grams of heroin inside anybody's bag.

Now, do you, as a human being, support mandatory death penalty?
